Jim ran in front of the gunshot, while I ran in front of the Doctor who then grabbed me and pulled me to him. We turned around where the shot had barely grazed Jim and sighed in relief, but then quickly moved away from each other.

The professor went to check on Jim, but Klieg told him to stay back and hand him his gun, which he reluctantly did.

"You killed him, you murderer", the professor exclaimed and he saw that Jim wasn't moving.

"No, he is fortunate. I spared him", Klieg said, "You mean you missed him", Jamie said.

"Silence. I could have destroyed him if I wanted to. Shall I kill him now", Kleg asked, before Kaften walked up to him.

"No, no, that will not be necessary. I'm sure the Cybermen will have a good use for them", Kaften said and I gave the pair a narrowed look.

"You will make excellent experimental specimens", Kaften told us and my narrowed look turned into an angry one as Victoria helped Jim with his wound.

"You still think you can bargain with a Cyberman", the Doctor questioned Klieg, "Certainly. And this time on our terms", Klieg said then walked over to the control panel to pull the lever that opened the hatch. Then he walked over to the hatch and called out into it, that he wanted to speak to the controller.

"They're coming", he told us, "And now, you will see how I shall use the power of the Cybermen", Klieg told us.

"Use, maybe, but you'll never control the Cybermen", the Doctor told him, before the Controller stepped out of the hatch.

"Stop", Klieg ordered as he pointed the laser gun from the testing room at the Controller and it stopped in its tracks.

"You know what this can do to you", Klieg asked and the Controller stopped what it was doing with Toberman by its side.

"That's better", Klieg said, "Now you're under my control", I looked between both the Controller and Klieg.

"We know you must be revitalized or you will perish. If you agree to my terms, I shall let you survive", Klieg told the Controller.

""Let you" as if he has any control over this situation", I whispered and the Doctor quietly shushed me as Kaften looked back to give us a look.

"I WILL LISTEN", the Controller said, "Make them release Toberman", Kaften said to Klieg and Jamie stood up to say, "If you think they'll listen to you, you're even dafter than I thought."

"Silence. Sit down", Klieg ordered and Jamie reluctantly did so, "First you release our man", Klieg ordered the Controller to release Toberman.

The Controller and Toberman then faced each other and it seemed they were sharing brain waves as the Controller mentally controlled him. I narrowed my eyes as Toberman then walked over to Kaften, then I saw the Doctor look at me.

"Saw that too, did you", he asked me and I nodded, "Toberman it is good that you are back. Watch them", Kaften ordered and then he walked over to us.

"Doctor he seems, uh","Yes, Jamie, yes", the Doctor agreed, cutting him off; Toberman was being mind controlled.

The Controller began to walk down the steps of the entrance of the hatch, before Klieg pointed his gun at it and ordered for it to stop.

"Now. Do you agree to accept our plan", Klieg asked the Controller, "Plan ","What plan", the Doctor and I asked.

"The conquest of the Earth", Klieg replied, "What? You must be out of your mind-", "Silence! Your answer", Klieg said, cutting him off, this Klieg shared qualities of the Master that I found disconcerting.

The Doctor gave me a questioning look, before I looked away, "WE ACCEPT", the Controller said, "WE WILL GIVE YOU SOME OF OUR POWER DEVICES."

"Good. I knew an understanding could be reached. I shall let you be revitalized. To survive, it must be now", Klieg said, before stepping back to let the Controller into the main hall. Then it went across the room to the door that led into the revitalizing chamber room.

"You're absolutely crazy to trust them ", the professor told Klieg , "Do you think so", Klieg asked, "Yes", I replied, "Then perhaps you and your colleagues had better join him. Go on, go on", Klieg ordered and forced us to enter the revitalizing chamber with the Controller at least until he grabbed Victoria as a hostage.

"No", we all yelled, before Klieg closed the door, "WE have to rescue Victoria", I told the Doctor, "Yes, I know", he told me.

We hid behind the machine in the middle of the room and watched as the Cyberman struggled to get in.

Then the Doctor slowly walked up to it, "Careful Doctor", I whispered, "You seem to be having some trouble", the Doctor said to the Controller, "THE ENERGY LEVELS ARE LOW. WE WILL SURVIVE. YOU WILL HELP US. YOU WILL HELP US", the Controller said in a slow monotone voice.

"Yes, yes certainly. Jamie, Acacia, Professor", the Doctor gestured toward us, suggesting we help the Cybermen Controller.

"You don't mean to say you're actually going to help them", Jamie questioned, "Doctor you can't be serious", I told him.

"I think it best. Come on. Come along", the Doctor told us as we helped the Controller into the revitalizing chamber and then turned it on which promptly closed the chamber.

"Now then, where would you rather have him, in or out of there", the Doctor told us, "Oh, I see what you mean", Jamie exclaimed.

"So we just have to make sure he stays in there", I said, "Correct", the Doctor told me. The Doctor then told Jamie to tie a rope around the chamber so that the Controller couldn't escape.

Then the machine began to smoke and we stood back from it. "Turn it off. it's out of control", the professor said, walking over to the controls before the machine began to slow down and went to a complete stop.

"Jamie I hope you've made those ropes secure", the Doctor said, "Oh, the king of the beasties himself couldn't get out of that one", Jamie said, before the Controller began to punch its way out of the chamber.

Well, that wasn't very secure", I commented, "Jamie, remind me to give you a lesson in tying not sometime", the Doctor added , before the Controller walked over to us.

"YOU WILL REMAIN STILL", the Controller told us, before sending brain waves towards Toberman who was back in the main hall.

As soon as we heard scream we all exited out of the room and into the main hall where we saw Klieg lying on the floor.

"Victoria", Jamie called, "Victoria are you alright", I asked, "Yes, I'm alright. What's going on", she asked as the Controller walked over to Toberman.

"YOU HAVE DONE WELL", the Controller told him, "Toberman", Kaften exclaimed, "SILENCE. HE IS NOW UNDER OUR CONTROL. OPEN THE TOMBS", the Controller ordered as it held a laser gun pointed at her.

"No", she said, "You have broken your promise", "CYBERMEN DO NOT PROMISE. SUCH IDEAS HAVE NO VALUE. OPEN", the Controller ordered again.

"No", she said again and the Controller walked over to the control panel just as Kaften backed away and pulled the lever instead which opened the hatch.

Then when it was shut she pulled out a gun and began shooting at the Controller, "Don't", I yelled, but she continued on.

"THAT GUN WILL NOT HARM ME", the Controller told her, before it shot and killed her with its laser gun, before going over to the control panel to open the hatch again.

I looked over to Toberman who seemed unfazed about what happened to his friend, "If there was only a way to unbrainwash Toberman", I said.

"Let me try", the Doctor told me before going over to Toberman, "Look what they've done. You're not like them. You're a man, like us! You must help us! He has killed Kaften! You must help us", the Doctor told him and I gave the Doctor a look, before Toberman attacked the Controller. That's when Jamie took the opportunity to pick up the laser gun the Controller dropped.

Toberman managed to pick up the Controller and throw it against the control panel, the Controller struggled to get up after being electrocuted by the broken control panel.

"Jamie the hatch", the Doctor yelled as we could see a cyberman crawling its way up the ladder to the top, "The gun, Jamie", the Doctor yelled again. Jamie was quick to take action and ran forward to shoot the cyberman with the laser gun. Then he pushed it down into the hatch, before spotting another one and shooting that one as well.

"Are there anymore", the Doctor asked as he and I ran forward to check inside of the hatch, "No, it's gone quiet. I'll close the hatch", Jamie said, before the Doctor stopped him and said he'd better go down there.

"What", I said, "Oh no, no, no, not again", Victoria exclaimed, "You can't go back down there", I said, "It's the only way to make sure", he told me.

"Then I'll go with you", Jamie said, "Me too", I added, "No, wait you two stay and look after Victoria", the Doctor told us, "I'm going with you", I stated and he sighed in defeat, "Oh, all right. But we need someone else to come with us", the Doctor said and looked over at Toberman, before walking over to him.

Toberman was sitting on the floor holding onto Kaften, "Toberman", he said as I walked over as well, "You see what these creatures have done to you? they've tried to make you like them. Do you understand? They've tried to make you their slave. They just want to use you. They are evil. think of Kaften", the Doctor said and then gestured to the dead woman in Toberman's lap.

"Evil", Toberman exclaimed, "They must be destroyed, do you see? Evil must be destroyed. Now come, come", the Doctor said and Toberman agreed and followed us down the hatch.

Then we made it to the main chamber where the Cybermen laid dormant in their frozen pods, "Now, move quietly. They're all dormant, see", the Doctor warned as he pointed out the cybermen.

"Now you watch them. Acacia come with me", the Doctor said to Toberman and then to me as he gestured over to the control panel.

"Now let me see", the Doctor said as he pressed a couple of buttons, "Now Acacia you pull that lever there", the Doctor told me, "Right", I said as we both pulled the levers at the same time, before we heard Klieg.

"The cryostat! You're freezing them", Klieg said, "Klieg", the Doctor said in alarm as we noticed that he was holding the laser gun, before walking over to the control panel unfreezing the cybermen.

"No! N, you'll wake them up", the Doctor told him, "That is exactly my intention. you still don't understand, do you? The controller is dead. Now I shall control them. They'll do what I say. you see, doctor, yours is the privilege to witness for the first time The Union between mass power and my absolute intelligence", Klieg rambled on as the Doctor and I noticed Jamie come in, only Klieg noticed and demanded Jamie to show himself.

"Come out! Come out or I shall kill them", Klieg said pointing his laser gun at both the Doctor and myself, then Jamie showed himself with his hands held high in surrender.

"Oh, it's you. Over to that wall, all of you", Klieg said, gesturing to us all, including Toberman, to go against the wall.

And just as Klieg was about to shoot the Doctor, the Doctor interrupted him by saying, "Yes, as you say, such a combination between intelligence and Power would make you formidable indeed. why, you'd be commander of the universe with your brilliance! it makes the imagination real with the possibilities", the Doctor said and I gave him a confusing look. The Doctor just gave me a look that said, "Go with it", and I said, "Oh…oh yes, mhm", I agreed jokingly.

"Why, Doctor, Acacia, if I had only known you shared my imagination, you two might even had worked for me ", Klieg told us.

"Oh, perhaps it's not too late", the Doctor questioned, "Doctor", Jamie exclaimed, "NO, Jamie, don't you see? Don't you see what this is going to mean to all the people who come to serve Klieg the all-powerful", the Doctor said as the Cybermen exited out of their pods, "Why, no country, no person would dare to have a single thought that was not your own. Eric Klieg's own conception of the... of the way of life!"

"Brilliant! Yes, yes, you're right. Master of the world ", Klieg said and the word Master echoed in my mind as I clenched my fists.

The Doctor glanced at me worriedly, before saying to Klieg, "Well, now I know you're mad. I just wanted to make sure", the Doctor told him and I snorted at that.

"And so you have forfeited your right to survival. I shall make an example of you, to all who question my intelligence and the supreme power of the Cyberman", Klieg told us.

"Uhuh", I said, "You know, I've heard this all before somewhere", the Doctor said, "You know your trouble? You talk too much", Jamie told Klieg as the Cybermen were coming closer.

"Oh, you're stupid. you still think that you're pretty minds can survive against us. You're decadent, weak. Do you know that? Weak", Klieg told us. I just sighed and rolled my eyes at him.

"All right. go ahead, kill us", the Doctor said, before Klieg pointed his laser gun at us and then lowered it, "No. I have a better idea. A much better idea. I shall leave you to the cybermen. I'm sure they'll have some use for you. or parts of you", Klieg said and then laughed, at least before he was grabbed by cyberman and killed.

The same cyberman went over to the control panel to use it until Toberman started attacking it and as he was doing that, we were quick to use the controls to refreeze the cybermen. Toberman was able to destroy the cyberman that he attacked and we looked at him in awe as he walked past us towards the exit.

"Last time they were frozen for five centuries. This time it must be forever", the Doctor told us, before we left as well.

Victoria and Hopper were waiting for us right outside of the hatch, "They're they are", Hopper said, "Oh, Doctor ", Victoria exclaimed.

"Yes, here we are, Victoria safe and sound. Close the hatch", the Doctor told Jim as we exited out of the hatch.

"What are we going to do about the rest of this place Doctor", I asked him, before he clapped his hands together, "Well", he said making his way towards the control panel in the main hall, "Now, the best thing about a machine that makes sense", the Doctor said as he flipped a broken part of the machine to rework the wiring underneath it, "You can very easily make it turn out nonsense", he said before putting the panel back, "There we are. now, I think you'd better all go outside", the Doctor told us, gesturing for us to all go out.

"Why, what are you going to do, Doctor", the professor asked him, "I'm going to re-electrify the main doors. Only this time I'm going to include the hatch and the control panel. Anyone touching any of them will get a considerable shock. In fact, a fatal one ", the Doctor told him.

"I see", the professor said, "Now everyone outside ", the Doctor told everyone as he and Jamie stayed inside to make sure everything was as it should be, before they came running out and told us to quickly close the doors. That is until Toberman took it upon himself to help and close the doors so that the Controller couldn't come out, but when the door closed he was electrified and he died.

The Doctor and I looked at the body guiltily as the Professor said, "How terrible. Another life gone", "Come on, professor. Blast Off in 9 minutes", Hopper told him.

Hopper asked if we wanted to come along, but Victoria told him that we had our own, "Flying machine", and Hopper seemed to scoff at that before walking away towards his ship.

"Right. Well, goodbye, Doctor", the professor said shaking his hand, "Goodbye", the Doctor said, "I'm sorry it had to end …"the professor trailed off, "I know. I know", the Doctor said and then the professor walked away to his rocket.

"Now there really is the end of the Cyberman isn't it", Jamie asked , "Yes, Jamie. I think", the Doctor said and then looked towards me for any clues, I didn't give any.

"On the other hand, I never like to make predictions", the Doctor finally said after a moment, "Now, Acacia, would please tell me about this Master. That keeps circling around in your head", the Doctor asked me.

I shook my head, "It's nothing", I lied and the Doctor looked me in the eyes, but decided not to push it. He nodded, "Okay. Come along", the Doctor said as he all made our way to the Tardis. Everyone went inside and before I walked in I hesitated for a moment, then walked in. As I disappeared I heard the Doctor say, "I need to find out who this Master person is."
