Day 91
He was FINALLY getting somewhere. The Meta Liberation Army and the league had joined and they were all going to be moving to a villa.
"Congratulations Hawks."
"Nice work, Hawks."
"Good luck, Hawks."
"You're gonna go far in the industry."
The commission speaks praise at the new information that he was delivering. Months of work and he was going to be diving into the mission at an even deeper level.
As they spoke their praise he accepted it. Hawks was getting good at lying and disguising. Even in front of the very people that taught him the tactics.
He was looking forward to seeing Dabi fall now more than ever. Now that he could feel in his gut what was happening right in between his eyes. He was blind.
Was there full proof that it was Ali that Dabi was getting close with? No. But it was Ali and he could understand why Dabi could get hooked after just one kiss.
His lips twitched. Even just the thought of them together angered him.
At least if they all move to the villa he won't have to worry about Ali wandering into the areas where the league was and getting closer to Dabi. There would be distance. The very thing that Hawks broke up with her over.
He was being distant because of the mission. Distance was safe though.
Hawks hadn't shared the information about Dabi and Ali with the commission. He really didn't want her involved in any way. He also didn't want them to find out about his 5 year relationship that he hid from them.
Guess he has had more practice lying than he thought he did.
And it was all paying off, for the first time during the mission he felt like he was getting somewhere even if it did come from a petty place.
