Barbara, Dick, Perez, Conroy, and Sayre sat in a small conference room with a map of metropolis pulled up on a monitor.
"We need to get Alice's description out to the public just in case someone sees her," Conroy said,
"We can't" Barbara responded "Though Tetch prefers keeping his victims if he thinks we're onto him, he won't hesitate to kill her, one of the two victims we've actually found was murdered seconds before we arrived"
"How are we supposed to find them in one of the biggest cities in America without even asking potential witnesses?" Conroy asked,
"We look at the past, What he's done, how he's acted, Where he's gone," Dick said, Barbara zoomed in on the Docking District, and circled an area within it,
"We know that the abduction site is always within a certain distance of where he holds them, we should be looking for any unused buildings that have any connection to Alice in Wonderland within that area," She said.
Kara had woken up in the makeshift Medical office on the third floor of Titan Tower, she was still wearing the black boyshorts she had been wearing under her Titans uniform her chest, stomach, and right shoulder were tightly bound in white medical tape. She had stumbled to the elevator and rode it to the roof, where she collapsed to her hands and knees blood soaking the clean white bandages around her torso, the sun beating down on her partially uncovered back, her vision blurred as she stared down at her hands, she noticed her skin was more pale than usual.
"Kara!" Garfield's voice was faint against the wind whipping in her ears, she felt his arm around her back under her arms "What are you doing up here?" As he lifted her to her feet she could see fresh blood where she had just been, looking down blood was seeping down from the wound in her stomach.
"Wasn't he invincible?" Tears streamed down her cheeks, she was feeling light-headed,
"We need to get you back downstairs" Garfield lead her back into the elevator and set her down against the wall, as they made their way down he used his t-shirt to soak up some of the blood.
It didn't take long to figure out that there were still too many possibilities even after narrowing it down to the Docking District, most of the unused buildings in the district were owned by a woman named Alice Chen,
"It'll take forever to search all of these buildings," Sayre said "Plus the owner's name being Alice isn't exactly a great justification for a warrant"
"On top of that, we'd have to enter every building at the same time to make sure we don't alert Tetch" Dick was finding it hard to not pinch the skin between his eyes which was his usual tick when faced with a roadblock but was made impossible by the metal mask.
"Let's try eliminating any properties owned by Ms, Chen that don't have any other obvious connection" Barbara began removing properties from the list on the screen.
Garfield held the tablet close to his face, the information from the computer in the conference room was being streamed straight to it, he watched as the different properties were shuffled and removed from where he was perched on the ceiling, Kara was still unconscious on the bed.
