Sunlight shines through the window and soon hits the eyes of a sleeping chow chow. His fur was still messy, but his injuries seemed to be patched up with bandages. Next to the bed was Judo, who woke up early to check up on him. Since he had fallen unconscious in front of her, she felt it was her duty to make sure he recovered.

Judo's own fur was a little messy, as she had just woken up. She also had bags under her eyes, showing that she didn't sleep well last night. Something else was bothering her, a feeling deep in her gut. Something about her had changed, but she wasn't sure why or how. She thought, maybe he may have the answers she wanted.

Soon enough, the chow chow began shifting in his sleep, a pillow falling to the ground with a thud. Judo broke out of her thoughts, looking at the chow chow as he slowly woke up.

"Ugh.." the chow chow held a hand up to his head as he slowly sat up. Although he was patched up, his injuries were still there. Growl. The sound of his stomach growling caught Judo off guard.

"... Hungry much?" Judo asked, and hand to her waist.

"...yea, I am," he responded, moving the covers off of himself. He then hopped off the bed with an audible grunt, barely able to keep himself steady.

"Just stay in bed, I'll bring you something to eat." Judo then helped the chow chow back into bed before heading out of the room and towards the kitchen. The chow chow could only watch, as he had neither the strength or mental prowess to respond at the moment. He just layed there, looking at the ceiling.

Judo was now in the kitchen, grabbing some ingredients from the fridge to make an omelet. As she started cooking up breakfast, her thoughts started back up again. "What is up with him? I can't tell what he's thinking… just how long has he gone without food..? I can barely last 5 hours after a meal, but days on end?" A good 15 minutes pass by as she finishes 2 omelets, one for her and one for the chow chow.

After setting them on separate plates, she took them over to the guest room, where the chow chow was currently resting. Once she walked into the room, the chow chow's ears and nose twitched. Drool starts forming in his mouth as he eyes the omelet.

"Jeez you can't be that hungry can you?" She asks, walking over to him and handing the plate over. He grabs the plate and immediately starts eating, taking less than a minute to finish the omelet. "...I guess you really were that hungry. Uh.. here," she hands him her omelet, which he immediately takes and devours.

After he finishes eating, he sets the plates aside on a nearby nightstand. "I'm.. I'm sorry about that. Haven't eaten in like.. 3 days now.." he explained.

"Really?? Jeez," Judo said, surprised. "Anyways.. you have a lot of explaining to do, but first you have to clean yourself up, it's really bothering me."

"That's probably a good idea…" he said back, getting up from the bed slowly. He almost trips as he stands on his feet. "Do I use your bathroom or…?"

"Of course! Not like you can leave the house safely like this!" Judo then grabbed his arm, dragging him to the bathroom.

"Jeez, bossy much?" He retorted as he was being dragged.

"Just shut up," Judo said, shoving him into the bathroom, closing the door.

A good half an hour later, the chow chow had finally cleaned himself up and walked out the bathroom. His fur was now cleaned up but still unruly. The color of his fur was really similar to Judo's. The only differences were the legs, arms, and tail. Both the bottom of his legs and his hands were beige, and the color of his tail was inverted to that of Judo. The same could be said about his hair, as it stuck up rather than going down like hers. His necklace was now fully visible in front, the same that Judo had seen the day before.

He walked back to the room, where Judo was busy cleaning up. "Hey, I'm done," he told her.

"Good, now we can finally ta-," she finally turned around to see him, a little shocked to see how much his look had changed. "A-are you the same person??"

"Um, yea?" He responded, his head tilted in confusion as he walked over to the bed, sitting on the edge. "I thought you wanted to talk about the other day."

"I do," she responded, grabbing a nearby chair and setting it in front of him. "I have plenty of questions for you."

"Yea i figured…" he told her, rolling his eyes a bit. "Just rapid fire them at me… I can't give detailed explanations right now."

"Ugh, fair enough," she said, obviously a little annoyed with his tone. "First off, what's your name?"

"Kish"

"Why were you being chased?"

"Well.. I'm a bit of a lab experiment."

"Lab experiment?? What do you mean by that??"

"I'm well… different. I have what people call a superpower.."

"A.. superpower?" She gives him a super skeptical look. "... don't lie to me."

"I'm not. Not only do I have one, but I can also awaken powers in other people around my age."

"Okay…? Let's say hypothetically, you can give people powers and you have your own. What do they have to gain from keeping you?"

"Child soldiers… that's what.." he let out a small growl, his eyes dilating a bit, which caused Judo to flinch. "Not only that but they drugged me… I can't control when I give powers anymore, nor can I use my ability without hurting myself.."

"Wait, you can't control it? Does that mean that I-"

"Yes. You got hit by it at the park last night. Remember that headache?"

Judo stood up immediately, knowing that she had felt differently since last night yet not knowing what it was. "Th-.. That's it..! That's why I've been feeling weird."

Kish sighs, looking down into his lap. "Now you're gonna be a target, I can no longer leave you alone. We have to figure out what your power is. If not, it could run wild."

"Run wild?? What do you mean by that?" She sits back down, listening intently.

Kish sighs once again. "Each power has its downsides. I've seen it happen every time, it's not pretty."

Judo immediately began worrying, holding a hand to her cheek, thinking hard. "H-How do we find out what power I have..?"

"Well, it's based on your persona more so than anything. So I guess we should trial and error soon."
