Memories Astray

Back in Vacuo, Sun is meditating (which he finds boring), and Neptune is joining in where Sun's aunt and cousin, Fei and Starr Sanzang were observing. "Concentrate, Sun. Feel the energy around you and hear the whispers of the spirits." Said Fei.

Sun takes a deep breath, his heart kept beating slowly. His eyes squinted despite feeling the urge to snap them open. He felt aggravated at the feeling of emptiness. But then he hears voices, that are actually memories of a woman he was never familiar with.

My son...

He then hears the cries and pain of the woman and man suffering at the hands of Grimm. Sun felt nothing but their pain as well.

Please live. Love yourself, love others the way we love you, Sun.

It was brought for Sun to gasp and breathe heavily as he felt like it was a nightmare he was exposed to. "Dude, you okay?" Asked Neptune. He places his hand on his friend's shoulder.

He noticed Sun wasn't his usual cheery self. As if memories from the past had came back to haunt him. Sun took a minute to breathe before Starr gave him a bowl of water. "Take it easy, Cuz. You're almost giving into despair." Starr warned him.

"I'm seeing things." Sun said.

"What is it that you see, Sun?" Asked Fei.

"I only heard voices, there was a woman. I think it's my mom." Fei's reaction was a surprise. It was Lume Sanzang, her sister, and Sun's mother. "Sun, I think you're remembering things. But it could take awhile."

Sun then feels a head throb as he has memories coming back to him. One when he met Blake.

"I knew you look better without the bow."

And another memory was when he saw Ruby rushing towards the CCT tower to save Pyrrha during the battle of Beacon.

"Ruby! What are you going?!"

Sun inhaled at the memory. As if whatever happened didn't actually happened before. "Something isn't right. This can't be our time."

"Dude, what are you talking about?" Asked Neptune.

"Neptune, I don't think we're in Remnant anymore." Said Sun, feeling the air and the actual Sun in the sky not real. Neptune scratches his head, confused. "Dude, what do you mean, we're not in Remnant anymore?"

"Look around, the Sun is not feeling a bit too hot. Which is weird." Neptune sees the sun, but for some reason, it wasn't that bright. "And the desert was feeling a bit cool, which is also weird." Sun adds. Neptune then gets Sun's point to the point of the area being unrealistic.

"I think I should call Weiss and..." Neptune heard himself saying that name and also feel a throb of pain. As he recalls meeting Weiss in the library and then hearing her sing somewhere in an empty hallway.

"Mirror...

Neptune shook his head. Sun looks at him with concern. "Dude, you alright?"

"You are right, something isn't right." Neptune agreed to Sun's opinion. "Maybe we need to call Ruby and see what is up."

"Sun, don't you remember? The CCT systems were broken since the Fall of Beacon, remember?" His aunt, Fei, said. Sun checks his scroll and noticed the signal being off.

"Oh, yeah, you're right. I..." Sun stops as he tried to remember some things, but for some reason, his mind felt empty. And asked himself, why he couldn't remember a thing. Then the words, "Fall of Beacon," hit him like an electric shock of memories. All he could remember was the Grimm attacking the school.

"Actually. I don't remember anything. Except, the entire army of Grimm attacking Beacon, did that really happened?!" Sun asked.

"I had that vision too. This is just strange, as if what actually happened never happened." Neptune theorized. "Do you ever get the feeling we're in some alternate universe?" Asked Neptune. But then heard someone's voice.

"Mirror..." A voice of someone singing. Neptune turned around and no one or nothing is around the dessert. It was a singing voice, a voice very familiar to him, a voice so beautiful but very vague and lack of emotion. "Sun, did you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Sun asked, he didn't hear it. Whether Neptune only heard it in his head, he just leave it like that for now. Neptune cannot help but thought something familiar with the voice and he was going to find it.

"Nothing, we should head to Vale and meet with the others." Neptune suggested, he would never feel more than happy to meet again with their friends in Beacon, and that includes Sage and Scarlet.

"Good idea." Sun said.

Conner Kent and Megan Morse also landed in a world of Remnant. a world they were not so familiar with. They can only gather information about the world through gossip. Information about weapons, dust ammo, combat and hunters.

Connor felt awkward having real wolf ears, at first he thought he is a werewolf. But after seeing animal traits on humanoids, he figured he is a faunus. Everytime his ears flickered, he felt flustered. Even Megan thought it was cute.

"Cheer up, Conner. Those wolf ears look very fluffy and cute." Megan blushed at the sight of his wolf ears and thought he looked handsome in them. That's the least Conner can get from her and blushed, and was glad it somehow made her laugh.

"Still, this is awkward. I mean, we fell from the sky, our powers are gone and now we ended up in some dimension." Conner recounts the events.

"And now I am human. Literally. And we got those clothes and this." Megan takes out her fan blade and opens them.

Conner is dressed in a black vest, with a red sweater under and armed with a battle axe. "And the fact we are armed with weapons that can shift into two, that's new."

"Check out those outfits those other kids are wearing. And the weapons too. We have to blend in before anyone gets suspicious-" But before Megan can finish, a ginger-haired girl jumped out of nowhere. "Welcome new besties!"

"Whoa!" Megan tugged onto Conner's vest after being startled. He was just as startled as she is to see the surprise jump coming from the girl. "Nora Valkyrie! Please to meet ya!" Nora shakes Conner's hand violently. "Gah! Nice to meet you too." He replied.

"So, you guys are new students? Never seen you two before." Nora said.

"Actually, we are..." Megan was about to reply. But considering the situation, Conner was forced to cut in. "Yes! We are new students, we just transferred from..." Conner looked around to see if there were other hints to give to the girl. Then he sees a poster about Atlas.

"Atlas! Atlas Academy!" Conner lied to make an excuse, even if he hates lying to others. "Ooh, that school sure is a toughie. Heard it's actually for military purposes and it takes a lot of extreme, and rigorous training to get here." Nora said.

"Well, endurance is all we can do to survive." Conner excused himself and Megan, who nodded and smiled in agreement.

"Well, welcome to Beacon!" Nora said excitedly. Conner and Megan sighed in relief. But then Nora dragged the two along with her by grabbing their wrists. "Come on, I'll give you guys a tour! Recently we have been getting new students like wildfire. Can you actually believe it?!" Nora said.

"Whoa!"

"Slow down!"

Back in Vacuo, Sun and Neptune were at the beach, sparring their skills. But the two cannot help but wonder about the visions they received as if none of the events happened, but at the same time, it already happened.

"Do you ever get the feeling we forgot something as if none of the events happened? But at the same time they do happened?" Neptune asked as he ducked under Sun's staff and blocked his attack.

"Yeah, Dude. That vision when Beacon was down, I don't know if that really happened." Sun replied.

"Then I remember a name. It was Weiss. Then those were visions of a girl. And..." Neptune paused as he remembers memories of Weiss. The time he broke into Schnee Manor to see her and embracing her in Atlas.

"I can't live like this anymore. If Father finds out, he'll kill you."

"He can try."

Then comes his first and memorable kiss with her. Before being taken by Atlas soldiers to be departed back to Mistral.

"Don't be sad, Neptune."

"I love you, and you're better the way you are!"

"Those memories again." For some reason, Neptune is in pain, emotionally. Why was it that he cannot subside it? Did those memories occurred for real?"

Neptune wiped the tears from his eyes, "Yep, I'm fine." He lied. Then something caught his eyes. "Dude, look." He pointed at his direction and Sun turned to it and sees soldiers they were not familiar with.

Suddenly, they were pulled by two teenage boys. One with red hair and freckles, wearing a yellow racecar jumpsuit and red goggles. And the other with raven hair, and red jacket spikes on his shoulders. "Ah!" Sun and Neptune yelped as they got dragged by the other teenagers boys. The new guys shushed them and told them to be quiet.

"Shh! We're on your side. Quiet." Whispered the raven-haired boy. "KF, looks like the Bialyans are here too."

"Bialyans?" Neptune asked. "What's a Bialyan?"

"It's a long story but better to wait until they are gone. But short version, they are an army led by supervillains, mainly controlled by a villain named Queen Bee." Said the boy with red hair.

"Queen Bee?"

"I don't know who that is, but it sounded like someone is getting a beat down!" Sun whispered slamming his fist to his palm. The two new boys are given an idea.

"You guys have any combat skills to handle this, right?" Asked the raven-haired boy.

"Trust me, we can handle criminals and monsters anytime." Sun boasted quietly.

"Good, cause we're gonna need your help on this one." Said the raven-haired boy. Much to Sun's joy that he gets to beat up the gunmen present before them. Then Sun sees a faunus with familiar clothing and Grimm mask, there are only 4 of them carrying a trunk of who knows what's inside.

"The White Fang." Sun said.

"I've taken you had sent them before?" Asked the redhead.

"Yeah, originally they used to be a civil disobedience group fighting for the rights of faunus, until the original leader stepped down and a new one turned it into a terrorist group to rebel against humanity."

"Dude, that's just sad." Said the redhead.

The Bialyans then lifted the trunk into their trucks and drove off. The four teen boys then stepped out of hiding. "Now what do we do?" Neptune asked.

The youngest teen boy cleared his throat. "Well, thankfully I already got us a ride. "Dick Grayson by the way." The youngest boy introduced himself. Then the redhead introduced himself putting his goggles over his eyes. "Wally West."

They then led their new friends to the shrub of a palm tree. There they have a silver, hover-buggy. Neptune's eyes sparkled in amazement., and Sun smirked at some excitement at the sight of the vehicle.

The four got on the buggy and drove towards where the cargo is heading to.

"So, I'm Sun Wukong! And the dude with the blue hair is my buddy, Neptune!" Sun said to Dick as he drives on wheel.

"So what's the deal with your weapons and stuff?!" Wally asked. They drove through the wind of the dessert and their hair being blown back. Neptune then puts on his goggles to keep sand away from his eyes.

"In short, we came from Haven Academy in Mistral! Training to become the next generation of huntsmen, hunting monsters, fighting bad guys!" Sun replied.

"Dude, this is so our thing back in our world!" Dick shouted.

"What do you mean, back in your world?!" Asked Neptune.

"Just to clarify! We are from another world! I don't know how we got here, but whatever happened, it can't be good!" Wally explained.

"Dude, they're speeding up!" Sun said as he spotted the cargo getting farther away from their direction.

"Well, then, we'll have to step on it!" Dick shouted as he pressed his foot on the gas pedal and zooms in to match the speed of the cargo. Wally yelled in excitement as he was pleased to ride on the buggy.

"Whoo! Alright!"

"I've never been so happy in my entire life!" Sun shouted in response feeling the risk and joy.

Neptune, however held onto the frame of the backseat for dear life. Scared of how fast the buggy can go. "Dude, do we have to go that fast?!"

"Lighten up, dude!" Dick replied, "Where's your sense of excitement?!"

"Aah!" Neptune screamed after the buggy went up more to speed.

Later at the combat room in Beacon Academy. Sage, Yang and Scarlet are heading for combat classes. "Do you guys get the feeling everything we've been seeing was a dream?" Asked Yang.

"Don't know. Seems a bit too long to be a dream." Sage said after waking up in Beacon. "In fact, I can't remember what it is yet."

"This doesn't make any bloody sense." Scarlet sighs. "In fact, something about the school doesn't feel right. First we woke up in the dorms. Second, we have Grimm displaying superpowers they don't have until now. Third, I can't seem the taste anything in the cafeteria. As if none of it was real."

"No kidding. In fact, I have called Professor Lionheart, but he acted as if nothing was..." Sage, Yang and Scarlet felt pain in their heads as they endure visions.

"Leo, we're huntsmen."

One of those memories when Lionheart was exposed for his betrayal, Sun pointed his weapon at his former headmaster.

"Lionheart, you traitor!"

Then next, a standoff against Cinder Mercury and Emerald, Hazel, Zeos and Yin. And Jaune shouted angrily at their enemies.

Do you have any idea what you did?!"

The three woke up from the state, and gasped as they have the initial shock of those memories.

"What...was that?!" Yang breathed heavily.

"I don't know." Sage panted.

"You don't think Lionheart..." Scarlet paused as Nora came with Conner and Megan. "Guys, you okay?"

"Connor? M'gann?" They all turned to see a raven-haired girl with battle armor with a sword on her waist, and a young man with dark hair and green outfit meant for hunting. And has a kunai for a weapon.

"Donna, Kyle, you two are okay!" Megan cheered as Conner sighed in relief.

"Wait a second! Nora, who are these guys?!" Yang asked. Suspicious of the new people stepping in the grounds of Beacon.

"Oh, them? These are the new students! I was giving them a tour! And transferred from Atlas! Isn't this cool, we got new besties now!" Nora cheerfully explains. Not knowing of the real outcome.

Yang then shook her head. "We don't have any new students."

Nora blinked her eyes as if she misheard. "Huh? We don't?" Then turned back to the new crowd as she got confused.

"Unless Miss Goodwitch said it in the announcement. There's no way we could've known."

Author's note: Currently I am writing a Young Justice Redux since these versions of the characters are part of the Redux series of YJ.

We got a team up between Dick Grayson/Robin, Wally West/Kid Flash, Sun Wukong and Neptune Vasilias as they spotted Bialyan soldiers having a case of dust under Queen Bee's command. We'll see the YJ characters unlocking semblance.

Meanwhile, Megan and Conner infiltrated Beacon Academy and meet Nora Valkyrie, who was mistaking them as new students. And met up with Donna Troy and Kyle Rayner.
