In this story, Yoda gives real advice!! also, sorry its so short, but it felt right to leave off there.

Three years later...

Light months away...

Sidious smiled, admireing his new army of clones. Each had a red version of the original's lightsaber. Each is a dark side force user. This was perfect. Now, he just had to train and wait. Luckily, training wasn't hard. Chips and cuffs were very effective. Especially when used at a young age. controlled accelerated age, ensured they lived out childhood trauma - which would stick with them until death - but then quickly matured to the right age. Just another few years...

He would be unstopable. Not even the original Anakin Skywalker could ever defeat him.

Anakin danced around Obi-Wan's Lightsaber elegantly. Something else that had changed - Anakin used a defensive form, a mix of his original form five into more of a defensive way. Instead of attacking constantly, he avoided lightsabers with an unhumane elegance , waiting for his apponient to tire, and then switched to his original style. It was very effective.

Anakin hadn't even ignited his lightsaber, simply danced his way around Obi-Wan's as Obi-Wan grew increasingly tired. Eventually, Obi Wan was tired, and Anakin struck. Unleashing a flurry of moves, Anakin quickly rendered Obi-Wan defenseless. Just as fast, Anakin had Obi-Wan's and his lightsabers at an "x" crossing his neck.

Just like Dooku.

Anakin cleared his throat. "This was how Dooku died." He said solemly.

"You... Killed him? Unarmed?"

"Literally unarmed. I cut them off... The... The Chancellor ordered me to."

Obi-Wan's eyes widened slightly. Did... Anakin considered the chancellor and Sidious to be... Seperate people?

Anakin sighed. "I was closer to falling than I cared to admit." He extinguished the lightsabers, tossing them aside. "Palpatine manipulated me... A lot. I- I can't believe I didn't see it."

"Let go of the past, Anakin. What's done is done. What's happened has happened. We can only focus on the present."

Anger flared in Anakin's eyes. "Easy for you to say." He snapped. "And you only ever preach about the Jedi, don't you. Blinded by the code!" Anakin tried to stop the torrent of sudden anger, but it was useless. "The Jedi are gone, Obi-Wan! Accept it, and move on. At the height of their power, they allowed a sith to come to power and not only plunge the galaxy into darkness but wipe them all out." He scoffed, closing his eyes. "Soon, they will be nothing but legends. Forgotten and tossed aside."

Moments ticked by in silence.

"Sorry, Obi-Wan. I... didn't mean that. At all."

"But you're right. Maybe you didn't mean it, but you're right." Obi-Wan said sadly, getting up and leaving the room. Leaving a dumstruck Anakin.

A while later, Luke came in, "Father, I'm... going back to complete my training with master Yoda. Do you want to accompany me?"

"Sure, let's also invite Ahsoka... she could do some good as well."

Anakin sipped a cup of tea in the grandmaster's hut. Yoda chuckled. "Call ypu young Skywalker anymore, I cannot. Maybe Old Skywalker, your name should be." Anakin nodded absent mindedly, thoughts elsewhere. "Go on a walk with Anakin, I shall. Much to discuss there is."

Anakin and Yoda stood from the table and headed out. Once outside, the grandmaster sighed. "Getting old I am."

Anakin remained silent, unsure of himself. He couldn't stop thinking about his Master's training. He didn't look away from the ground, he didn't speak. This was his master. His grandmaster. And he didnt look his masters in the eye. he didnt speak to his masters, unless told explicitly to speak.

Yoda hummed to himself. "Disturbed you seem, Anakin."

Anakin swallowed. Hard.

Yoda chuckled. "Be afraid to speak you should not! Help you I shall."

"Y-yes master."

"Much fear I sense in you, Anakin. Yet, no lighter have you ever felt. Wonder, I do, if wrong we were."

"Master? What do you mean?"

"Possible, it is, that wrong the Jedi were... Sheilding yourself, you are, Anakin."

"I..." Anakin slowly lowered his sheilds, revealing the ripped up peices of his slowly healing force signature.

Yoda's ears drooped. "Who did this, Anakin? Know this was possible, I did not."

"It was... another clone, Master."

"Dangerous, your clones are, Anakin. Your blood flows with the highest midi-chlorians ever rechorded. By duplicateing this, throwing the force out of Balance, Sidious is... Training, Luke will need. Even after passed, I have. A strong bond with him you have... Train him you should."

"With all due respect, Master, I don't think I should be the one to train him."

"What say that, do you?"

"I..." I'm weak. I'm pathetic. I'm nothing. I'm broken. "I'm not the same anymore, master. I've... changed."

"Assume this change was for the worst, do you?"

"I..."

"A reason for everything the force has." He picked up his staff, pointing it to the vine in front of them on the path. "Even a reason for this vine." He said, stopping in front of it. "Too thick to climb over, too large to move out of the way. Cut it, to continue, we must."

"I-I... Can't."

"Hmm. Will not. You will not. Capable of pulling out your weapon, you are capable of cutting this you are, refuse to do so you also do. Not Can't, Anakin. Won't."

"...Master?" Anakin asked, knowing there was a deeper meaning.

"Trials you have faced, Anakin. changed you they have. Made you into what the galaxy needs."

They need someone who can't use a lightsaber with confidence and flinches at the sound of the enemy? the galaxy needs someone who is broken beyond repair?

"No, Anakin. Someone who has overcome trials of this sort, the galaxy needs. The chose one you are. Never was it said your path would be an easy one." Yoda chuckled. "You can do many things, Anakin. You are willing to do few." And with that, the grandmaster seemed to vanish, flipping another route through the overgrowth.

With a shaky hand, Anakin cut the large vine.

Can.
