Years passed, more toys were donated and sold, many of their old toy friends were gone. Only they were left. But moxxie tried to carry out his duty as the new leader as strongly as woody as the years went. Andy was now in his teenage years and they desperately hoped he'd still want to play with them. So now moxxie came up with the the last shot they had until Andy would take off for colleague

Moxxie: alright everyone, get in your places.

Millie: I sure hope this works

Moxxie: me too honey

Mrs Potato Head: Wait! I can't find my other eye!

Hamm: Alright, who's foot's in my face?

Mr Potato Head: It's mine. Give it back.

Aliens: You have saved our lives. We are eternally grateful.

Mr Potato Head: (groans) Sssh!

Jessie: Buzz, mind if I squeeze in next to you?

Buzz: Yes. I mean, no. What would I mind (stammering) squeezing next to you? (sniffs) Is it hot in here?

Blitzo: just admit your feelings ding dong!

Loona: seriously, is there an express your feelings switch on him?

Rex: (seeing something) Oh, here they come!

Sarge and two of his men carry a sock into the room

Moxxie: sarge. Is the item secured?

Sarge: Mission accomplished.

Rex: Hooray!

Hamm: [laughing]

Mrs Potato Head: Oooh!

Moxxie: careful

Moxxie and Millie shake the sock and a mobile phone drops out

Jessie: Ooh!

Rex: [gasp]

Moxie: okay, we only got one shot at this. Is everybody off ready?

Jessie: we're ready mox. Let's do it!

Millie: alright. Buzz, make the call

Buzz opens his wrist communicator to reveal a phone number which Jessie dials into her phone. Moxxie passes the mobile phone to Rex who holds it. Jessie presses the dial button on her phone and the mobile phone Rex is holding rings, making him jump. Buzz, Jessie Millie and moxxie peak out of the chest and here footsteps approaching the room

Buzz Lightyear: Target is on approach

Moxxie: just like in rehearsal

They go back in. A shadow creeps over the chest as the toys freeze and the Irelanders hide. Andy, now a teenager, opens the chest and fumbles around for his phone until he picks up Rex who is still holding it. Andy yanks the phone free from Rex's grasp and flips it open before putting it to his ear

Andy: Hello?

Moxxie knew that they had one shot at this, but if he spoke now then that would break rule number one of being a toy. He already broke it with Sid, but he couldn't chance it with his owner

Andy: Hello? Anyone there.

sighs and hangs up, to Molly, now a little girl

Andy: Molly, stay out of my room!

Molly: I wasn't in your room!

Andy looks at Rex before putting him back into the chest and closing it before heading out of the room

Andy: Then who was messing with my stuff?

Molly: It wasn't me!

Andy shuts the door behind him. Moxxie and Millie look out of the chest sadly with Buzz before they look at each other

Mr Potato Head: Well, that went well.

Mrs Potato Head: Oh.

Rex: He held me! He actually held me!

Hamm: Oh, this is just sad.

Mr Potato Head: Who are we kidding? The kid's 17 years old.

Slinky: We ain't ever getting played with

Millie looks to moxxie who inhales

Moxxie: okay, everybody, we need a staff meeting

Hamm: Oh, not again

Millie: come in slink, gather everyone up

Slinky: Uh, we are gathered Millie

They look to remember they were the only toys left

Moxxie: Okay. First off, we all knew Operation Playtime was a long shot.

Mr Potato Head: More like a misfire

Moxxie: But we always said this job isn't about getting play with, it's about...

Jessie: Being there for Andy, we know.

Rex: But we can try again! Right?

Moxxie inhales

Moxxie: I'm calling it, guys. We're closing up shop.

Toys: What?

Moxxie: Andy's going to college any day now. That was our last shot.

Mrs Potato Head: Oh

Millie: that means we're going to attic mode! Keep all accessories with you at all times. Spare parts, batteries, anything you need for orderly transition.

Mr Potato Head: Orderly?! Don't you get it?! We're done! Finished! Over the hill!

Moxxie: Hey! Come on, guys! We all knew this day was coming.

Hamm: Yeah but now it's here.

As they're talking, Buzz notices Sarge and his two men climbing up onto Andy's desk to the window

Moxxie: Look, every toy goes through this! No one has to...

Buzz Lightyear: Hey, Sarge! What are you doing?

Sarge: The war's over, folks. Me and the boys are moving on

Blitzo: moving on?

Buzz Lightyear: You're going AWOL?!

Sarge: We've done our duty. Andy's grown up.

Green Army Man 1: Let's face it. When the trash bags come out, we army guys are the first to go.

Buzz Lightyear: Trash bags?

Moxxie: the fuck said anything about trash bags?!

Sarge: It has been an honor serving with you. Good luck, folks.

One of the men grabs Sarge and they parachute out of the window

Green Army Man 2: You're gonna need it.

He follows after them

Moxxie: no no no no! Come back!

Rex: Aah! We're getting thrown away?!

Moxxie: No! No one's getting thrown away!

Mr Potato Head: How do you know?

Jessie: (panting with anxiety) We're being abandoned.

Millie: We'll be fine, Jessie.

Blitzo: Then why did Sarge leave?

Mrs Potato Head: Should we leave?

Slinky: I thought we were going to the attic.

Rex: Oh, I hate all of this uncertainty

Moxxie: everyone just shut up! No one is getting thrown out! We're all still here aren't we?...I mean sure we lost friends along the way...wheezy, edge...

Millie: robot...snake...

Rex: rocky...RC

Jessie: mr spell...mr shark

Buzz: woody and bo peep?

Moxxie looks down remembering the night they left

Moxxie: yeah...even woody and bo... all good toys who've gone on to new owners. But through every yard sale, every spring cleaning, Andy held onto us. He must care for us or we won't be here. You wait. Andy's gonna tuck us in the attic. It'll be safe and warm...

Millie: and we'll all be together right?

Millie: yeah Millie! There's games up there...and books a-and-

Buzz: the race car track!

Moxxie: the race car track! Thank you!

Blitzo: yeah, and that old as shit tv!

Moxxie: exactly blitz! The old TV! And those guys from the Christmas decorations box. They're quite fun.

Mrs Potato Head: Yeah.

Moxxie: And some day, if we're lucky, Andy may have kids of his own.

Rex: And then he'll play with us then. Right?

Moxxie: We'll always be there for him.

Buzz thumbs up

Buzz Lightyear: Come on, guys. Let's get our parts together, get ready, and go out on a high note.

Mrs Potato Head: I'd better find my other eye.

Mr Potato Head: Where'd you leave it this time?

Mrs Potato Head: (covering her left eye) Some place dark and dusty.

Hamm: Come on. Let's see how much we're going for on eBay

Loona: man, wonder if our potential new owners have any boy hellhounds

Blitzo: don't get any ideas young lady!

Moxxie: come on guys! Andy will take good care of us! I guarantee it!

expression soon changes from hopeful to sadness as he realizes it's no use. He climb up onto a dresser and looks at the room with sadness. He turns to look at a photo of Andy in his graduation clothes with his mom and Molly before lifting up to reveal a picture of young Andy playing happily with him and his friends.

Moxxie looks at it with sadness, remembering what those times felt like.

Millie comes up to him

Millie: you really guarantee it?

Moxxie: what else was I supposed to say? God how woody handled them I'll never know

Millie: well whatever happens, we'll still have each other

They look to one another with hope in their eyes

Moxxie: for infinity and beyond

They both embrace one another as they hope things could turn out better for everyone.
