Seha let out a small sigh at the contents of the fridge…or rather, lack of contents in the fridge. "Well, there's not that much to make for tonight's dinner…looks like it's a short trip to the supermarket…"

Seha then quickly left the kitchen, headed towards his room, dressed himself in casual clothing that consisted of a white shirt, black jacket, tan jeans, and quickly returned. As he headed out, he noticed Mirae, who was on the couch. "Mirae, I'll be going out for a bit." he announced.

"For what? And how long?"

"It won't be long. I've just got to go to the supermarket to get groceries for tonight's dinner. We're almost out of ingredients actually."

"Supermarket? What's that?" Mirae asked with curiosity in her voice.

"It's a place where people buy food from.

Mirae's eyes sparkled upon hearing Seha's description. "A place where you buy food from? You mean like fish and vegetables?"

"Yes. Do you want to come?"

In a second, Mirae quickly got out of the couch and quickly gave her answer. "Yes."

"Well then, get dressed."

Soon, Mirae quickly got out of the couch she was on, went to her room, and quickly dressed herself up. After a few minutes, she returned wearing a brown sweater that covered most of the top of her body, a black skirt, and black leggings. "Well then, let's go."

Soon, Seha and Mirae left the house and headed towards the nearby supermarket. After minutes of walking, they finally arrived. As they did, Mirae looked at the supermarket with awe in her eyes. "So, this is a supermarket." she said in wonder.

"Yeah. Is this your first time here?" Seha asked.

"Yes. I've never been to a place like this before. Something like this was never on the island I was on before."

"I see…well then, you're going to be surprised on the inside." He said as he pulled out a shopping cart. "Follow me."

Seha and Mirae then went into the supermarket. Instantly, Mirae's awe grew even further than before as the sight of various people were doing their own thing in various parts of the supermarket. "There are so many people here…"

"Mirae? Are you alright?" Seha asked, snapping her out of her thoughts.

"Hm? Oh, yes. I was just looking at everyone here. To think something like this was here…I'm amazed." Mirae replied.

"I see. Well, follow me."

Seha and Mirae soon headed towards the produce section to see what was offered. As they did, Mirae was staring at the various vegetables that were offered. "Wow. To think that this much food exists in this place…I wish the others were here to see this." she thought with a bit of sadness at the last part. As she continued to gaze around the produce, she came across a bunch of packaged items in a cooler of some sort. In her interest, she touched it and felt cold to her surprise. "It's cold…how?"

Meanwhile, Seha was going through the vegetables, wondering which one was best. As he was doing so, he noticed Mirae was in front of processed food. "Hm? Mirae? What is she doing over there?" He then went towards Mirae, wondering what she was up to. "Mirae? What are you doing?"

"Seha, I have a question to ask you."

"Sure. What is it?"

She then pointed to the processed food. "Why is this item cold only here? Everywhere else here feels okay, but it feels cold here. Why?"

"Well…it's to preserve the food from rotting, making sure it stays fresh. It's like the fridge at home for example."

"Ah. I see." It was then something else grabbed Mirae's attention. "Seha, what is that?" she asked as she pointed at something.

Seha looked at what Mirae was pointing at. "Ah, that? That's tofu."

"Tofu? What's that?"

"Well…it's an ingredient commonly used in cooking. Speaking of which, that's one of the ingredients I needed to buy for today's dinner. Thanks for pointing it out, Mirae."

Mirae let out a soft smile. "No problem, Seha."

Soon, Seha and Mirae left the produce section and went for the meat section. "Now then, I wonder which cut of beef is cheap around here…" Seha thought to himself as he was examining his options of meat.

Meanwhile, Mirae was curiously examining the various cuts of meat that were in front of her. "Wow, I've never seen this before…" she thought to herself. As she continued to walk around the area, she came across something that brought back a certain part of her memory.

Fish.

For a moment, Mirae was stunned as she saw the large number of fish being racked up on ice. Furthermore, unlike the ones that came from Trash Island, the ones currently at the supermarket were fresh and were not poisonous. "Fish…I never thought I would see them again like this…and they're not poisonous…I wish Ara and the others would see this…"

Back to where Seha was, he had just finished choosing the meat and was currently receiving it. As he got it, he then saw Mirae, who was just staring at the fish. He then went towards her. "Mirae? Is there something wrong?"

Mirae did not say anything. However, to Seha's shock, a small tear appeared out of her eye.

"Mirae?"

Hearing Seha's voice, Mirae snapped back to reality. "Hm? Oh, sorry Seha. I was…just remembering something."

"I see…was it a sad memory? There's a tear coming out of your eye."

Mirae then touched her face and felt a tear coming out. "Sorry."

"Don't worry about it. Anyways, let's move on. We still have a bunch of ingredients to buy."

Soon, Seha and Mirae continued their shopping. During that time, Seha and Mirae were mostly silent aside from a few questions from each other. Eventually, they were almost done with the shopping and were about to check out.

However, during that moment, Mirae was suddenly nowhere to be found.

"Hm? Where did Mirae go? Did something catch her attention?" Seha thought.

And as if on cue, Mirae returned…with a bunch of snacks in her hands. For a moment, Seha was stunned at the amount of snacks she brought over. "Um…Mirae, what's with all of those snacks?"

"They seemed interesting to try out, so I got them. Is that bad?"

"Well…no, but…don't you think you brought a lot of snacks here? I mean, do you plan on finishing all of them?"

"No. I was planning on sharing some with you, Seha. Is that okay with you?"

Seha's eyes widened for a moment before continuing the conversation. "Well…alright. I suppose a few snacks won't hurt."

Mirae let out a small smile. "Thanks." she said as she put the snacks into the cart.

"Wow. This feels like the time where I would ask my mom permission to add snacks to the cart." Seha thought to himself as he arrived at one of the checkout lanes. For the most part, nothing eventful was happening.

Then came the price.

"And the total is 45,000 won." the cashier said.

At that moment, Seha was stunned again with his mouth dropped while Mirae was clueless. Noticing Seha's expression, Mirae turned to him. "Are you okay?" she asked.

"Hm? Oh, yeah. I'm fine." Seha replied, quickly changing his expression.

But his thoughts were different. "Okay, that was not what I expected. Since when did the price of food increase that much?"
