"BLEEWWGH!"

Natsu was fighting with his problems while riding in a cart. The Dragon Slayer was too sensitive to transportation.

Makoto and Lucy frowned as they looked at him.

"Happy, are you sure he is alright?" Makoto pointed towards Natsu.

Happy looked at him for a moment before shrugging and eating his fish. "It's useless to help him. Well, I heard that patting someone's back and saying good things will help them overcome nausea, but who knows?"

Makoto tried to do as Happy said and started to pat his dragon-slayer friend's back.

"Everything will be alright. Um, forget about trains, and um, you are doing great!"

Natsu weakly looked at him.

"Th-Thanks...BLEEEEEGH!"

It didn't help.

Makoto tried to think of ways to help him as an idea came to his mind.

He started to search for something in his pockets and finally found it—the gum.

He had a pack of gums within himself. A shiny pack with the sign 'Orvit' on it.

'I heard that gum is pretty helpful when it comes to dealing with nausea.'

He handed the gum towards Natsu, which obviously gave him a confused look.

"What is that?"

Makoto seemed to forget that he is in a different world, and things like gum are probably something new to people here.

"Uhm, it's a new kind of medicine!"

"New kind of medicine...?"

"Yup, it helps when you get nauseous and also helps to freshen your breath."

Natsu weakly took the so-called 'medicine' and placed it in his mouth, but before he could gulp it in, Makoto stopped him for a moment.

"Don't swallow it; it's supposed to be chewed."

Natsu nodded while everyone present in the cart looked at him, waiting for an outcome.

Natsu started to chew the gum, and the first thing to surprise him was a taste—a yummy taste of something cold and refreshing. Obviously, it was mint-flavored, and surprisingly, Natsu liked it.

"Hey, that tastes awfully good for medicine."

Makoto smiled.

"Well, it's pretty good medicine, and it's pretty popular in my homeland."

Natsu started to chew gum, and surprisingly, it helped.

"No fucking way!!!"

Natsu took Makoto into a rough hug.

"I thought I would struggle for eternity! My god!!! YES!"

"I am glad you are okay. Ummm..."

He felt his bones begin to make strange cracking sounds.

"Maybe you will let me go."

"Oh! Sorry."

Makoto fell down, struggling to breathe.

"Finally, we won't see this image of you being all pukey-wakey."

"Aye! Natsu is finally back on track!"

"Hell yeah!"

Makoto laughed while thinking of a way to say that he had a limited amount of gum, but this is another story.

Finally arriving at our destined place, much to Lucy's anger, our party decided to eat something before going on with the mission.

"I will eat a ton of food this time!"

"Since when you didn't?"

Natsu started to order the food while Happy was happily nodding his head and Makoto was smiling at them.

But one person was missing—a certain blonde.

"Maybe we should look for her?"

Makoto was worried about his friend.

Natsu shrugged.

"I doubt that Lucy is in trouble; she is a mage, so she can look after herself."

"Aye! Have some faith in her."

Makoto didn't seem to be less worried, yet he was sure that she was alright.

In fact, she was more than all right.

"I kept you waiting, Master!"

Lucy approached the group, leaning towards Makoto.

His hands were buried in her chest, and her face was getting even hotter than the flame of a dragon slayer.

"L-Lucy-san!?"

"Yes,Master~! Do you need anything?"

Playfully, she was even enjoying this little act of teasing the poor brown-haired luckster.

"Happy. She is retarded."

"Aye, I guess so."

Lucy's expression changed when she heard both of her party members talk.

"Silence! I heard that this Everlue guy is a huge pervert, so I, as a sexy girl, am going to show him all of my charms."

"I don't care."

"I am a cat."

Lucy had a popped-up vein, but it calmed down since Makoto made his own remark.

"I...I think you look adorable. This maid outfit really suits you!"

Scratching his cheeks in embarrassment, he didn't see how Lucy's expression literally lit up in joy.

"Hmph! At least one person who knows the meaning of beauty!"

She ran towards him, burying his head in her chest.

"Unlike both of you, he is at least a gentleman!"

"He is just too kind."

"Aye, Makoto is too kind... I mean, I never heard him curse or even badmouth someone."

"Hey! Would you stop crushing my self-esteem?"

She turned towards Makoto.

"Makoto, tell 'em!"

"She is right. I actually curse sometimes."

Natsu raised an eyebrow along with Happy.

"You can curse!?"

Both cat and humans spoke in unison.

"Yeah, it's... well, I don't really love to curse, but I said 'damn' yesterday."

"..."

"..."

"..."

Lucy, Natsu, and Happy made a circle while starting to talk with each other.

"Who is going to tell him that it isn't a cursing word?"

"Are you worried about that!? Why does he think that 'damn' is actually a bad word?"

"See? I told you he was too nice."

Makoto questioned them and looked at them with his eyebrow curling up.

"What are they talking about?"

He said that, shaking his hand against his hair.

.

.

.

"Man, our customer is really a rich rat this time!"

Our party arrived at the place where they should meet their customer.

A big mansion with a huge garden laying as if a carpet on the floor.

Makoto hesitantly steps forward, a bit confused by the lack of guards and workers in here.

It was a huge building with a huge garden, so that's why many workers were expected to be working in here. Shrugging off this idea, Makoto paid it no mind.

"Hello! We came from Fairy Tail!"

Lucy took the initiative to lead the team.

Not so long after, a voice erupted from within the door.

"Ah! Please come in from the back door!"

The party nodded as they started to go to their destined position.

Makoto, however, thought it was strange to tell the guests to come from the back door. He might be from a different world, but the thing that he learned here is that etiquette remains the same in every era and world.

Swaying that thought aside, the first thing that caught his interest was the elegant interior present in the room. High ceilings decorated with golden paint art, along with several other pieces of furniture, sparkled, blinding Makoto.

"I sincerely welcome you, fairy-tail mages."

The man with mustaches, who was supposedly a customer who assigned the mission, bowed his head down while beside him was his wife.

"Sup! I am Natsu!"

"Aye! I am Happy!"

"Can both of you behave normally?"

Makoto had a strange feeling—a ticklish feeling—in his nose. After killing the game and all those trials, Makoto was better, if not good, at spotting the lies and wrongdoing of many people. He felt the same.

"Nice to meet you all as well... I am Kaby Melon, the owner of this house, and your customer."

Natsu grinned with his toothy grin, hearing his second name.

"You have a really delicious surname!"

Lucy frowned at his manners.

"Ever heard of politeness?"

Makoto paid them no mind, as his mind was fixated on something else. It all seemed too fishy. Good interior, yet no people who are serving in here...even Kaby's clothes were too new? He still couldn't wrap it around—if only Kyouko was here.

"U-Umm... Mister Melon,right?"

"Yes. Yet again, nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too. May I ask a question? Why do you want us to get rid of that book?"

Kaby's expression changed as he strictly looked towards the mages in front of him.

"This book is...this book should be destroyed no matter what... I can't... I just can't accept its existence! So please! Just destroy the book."

Makoto was confused.

"You are willing to pay 200,000 jewels just for a book?"

"No. The reward was increased. Now it's 2 million."

Upon hearing that, Natsu's and Happy's ears twitched.

"T-Two million!? It's...it is 2 times 4 plus... whatever, that's a lot!"

"So many fish... Aye,I think we should accept it!"

Natsu grabbed Makoto while Happy started to drag Lucy.

"W-Wait! We should at least ask more questions!"

"No need to! Two million are waiting!

"Aye! Two millions!"

"You both are too retarded!"

With that said, the newly found party began to move on and start the quest.

Kaby and his wife, who were left together, looked at each other.

"Do you think they would make it?"

"I don't know. The last party sent there never made it back."

.

.

.

"I really don't want to do it."

Lucy, still in her maid outfit, was standing near Everlue's house.

"Don't worry! We will make it in one piece... somehow."

"Don't 'somehow' me! Makoto, at least you should understand me!"

Makoto scratched his cheek with a timid smile.

"I know it might be hard on you. Umm.. maybe we should sneak inside instead?"

This caught the company off guard, as they all looked at him for a brief moment.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

Taken aback Makoto looked towards his comrades.

Natsu raised his hand in order to say something, but shortly after, he again had a questioning look.

"I never thought of that."

"..."

Makoto facepalmed. So all those efforts were futile?

Surely Lucy entering inside must be a good idea, but again, there were risks, and those risks should be avoided.

"Well than! Let's just barge in, then!"

"I doubt that Makoto meant barging in."

With the help of Happy, they entered.

"Aye! This mansion is really huge!"

"Talk about corruption among noble families..." Natsu retorted, also looking around.

Lucy and Make, however, were busy with another thing. It seems that while dropping them, Happy dropped Makoto on top of Lucy.

Poor little sprouts landed on soft cheesecakes.

"Ahhh~"

Lucy moaned, much to Makoto's red face.

"S-S-Sorry!!!"

He immediately stood up, giving Lucy a helping hand.

"N-No... problems..."

She turned her face away. For some magically unknown reason, she loved that.

"Hey,Makoto! Look, I am a ninja!"

Makoto turned towards Natsu, who wrapped his face in a scarf.

"Can you be serious? We are on an important quest." Lucy scolded Natsu.

"Haha, you really do!"

Makoto said in awe. Lucy, however, had a confused look on her face.

"Out of all people to think that Makoto is the one to say it... Lucy's sweat dropped as she looked towards the brown-haired teen with sparkling eyes.

Natsu placed his hand over Makoto's shoulder.

"Makoto is a man of culture! He knows the deal!"

"Aye!"

"Th-Thanks...?"

Lucy frowned, facepalming herself.

"You both are bad influences on him."

Makoto was more like a little brother in the whole group; he was younger than Natsu and Lucy and probably younger than Happy. Add his shortness, and he is literally the little brother of a family.

"You are boring, Lucy!"

"Shut up,cat!"

"Hahaha! Boring as hell!"

"You too, shut it!"

"I think you are more charming than boring."

"Aww...Thanks!"

Makoto felt a warmth in his heart. He really loves these new friends he has.

Our lovely party started to search for books.

"Let's split; this way we will find the book faster!" Lucy exclaimed enthusiastically.

Natsu and Happy decided to check the left side, while Makoto took the door he thought was the most appealing in his mind.

And oh, surprise, how lucky he was when the first door he opened was the door to the library.

"Guys! I found it."

Natsu, Lucy, and Happy turned towards him.

Wow, you are lucky, aren't you?"

"I hear that a lot, hahaha."

With that said, they entered the Library.

A huge room filled with books everywhere—this was surely heaven for Lucy.

"It was called Daybreak,right?"

"Huh? Yes."

Makoto extended his hand where he had the book with the name 'Daybreak.

"Again!? How the hell do you get such lucky guesses?"

Makoto laughed again.

"I am J-Just lucky...haha."

Taking a good look at it, Makoto spotted something—the name of the author.

"Umm...Lucy?"

"Yes?"

"Do you know who Kemu Zaleon is?"

This took Lucy's attention.

"Kemu Zaleon is a really popular author! He is one of my lovely authors, though no one knows where he disappeared to."

Makoto handed her Daybreak as her eyes opened wide.

"This is written by Kemu Zaleon!"

She energetically took it as she started to swipe through pages.

Natsu, who was getting bored, wanted to destroy it quickly.

"Let's just end it and destroy the book... I am getting hungry."

"We can't! I never heard of this book, and... Give me a minute; I need to read it!"

Natsu nonchalantly looked at her.

"That's our quest, you know?"

"No! Makoto, tell 'em!"

'Why do I keep hearing this phrase again?

Lucy was persistent. She didn't want to let go of Daybreak.

"Maybe we should let her read?"

Makoto, you too? What a bother. We don't have time for this, and our customer said that we should get rid of it, not read it."

"N-No... I mean, I think that something is not right in here. I have something like a gut feeling."

Makoto seemed stoic about letting Lucy read the book; of course, it made a celestial spirit mage blush at his care.

Natsu sighed.

"Well, then do what you want."

Makoto smiled, wanting to thank his friend, but something went wrong.

"So that's what kind of rats entered my mansion!"

Something nearly jumped out of the earth. A small and fat man with a moustache and an annoying smirk.

"Who are you!?" Natsu yelled at the unknown man.

"Boyoyoyo! To enter my own home without knowing its owner...I am Everlue! The authority is in here!"

So this is... Everlue? Makoto Kimda expected to see someone like him.

"U-Uhm...you misunderstood." Makoto said. "We are here to introduce you to our new maid."

He pointed towards Lucy, who was holding Daybreak with a tight grip.

"You take me for a fool!? Besides, I don't want such an ugly maid!"

These words stabbed Lucy straight in the heart.

"What do you mean by ugly?" You look like a fat egg yourself!"

"The hell!? You don't know a speck of beauty, you lowly peasants!" He flicked his fingers. "Let me show you what it is!"

The ground beneath started to grumble. A second later, a bunch of women got out from under the ground. They were completely normal women in maid outfits, but with a few strange faces.

"This is beauty! My lovely maids!" The women hugged him tightly.

"Kyaaa! Our master is the greatest!"

"Such a handsome man you are, Master."

Makoto face-palmed. Is there any Normal person in this damn world?

While all that was happening, Makoto noticed someone other than those maids—a huge woman in a maid outfit with pink hair and completely white eyes. He wasn't sure, but somehow she was piercing him with her gaze.

"So now that you know what true beauty is, hand over the book!"

"Never!"

Everlue was becoming red from frustration.

"How dare you? Ah! Get them!!!"

The maids all jumped towards our party as Natsu, already bored with all these talks, charged towards the maids, one-shotting them effortlessly.

"That was fast!"

Natsu stood looking towards Everlue.

"Y-You! Whatever! Vanish Brothers!!!"

Everlue yelled something as the door in the main hall opened, revealing two figures standing on the floor and glaring at Natsu.

"Good afternoon." The first man had a giant frying pan on his hands.

Meanwhile, his companion, who was also his brother, had more of an intimate look along with afro-styled hair.

"So these are Fairy Tail mages? Seriously, I am not impressed."

Everlue let out a smirk.

"Boyoyoyo! You are now doomed!"

Everyone started to stare at each other. Natsu towards the Vamish Brothers, Everlue towards Happy, and Makoto with Lucy... towards the book.

"""HEY!!!!"""'

Everyone yelled, looking towards the book-reading duo.

"Is this really a time to read a book, you both?"

"S-Sorry..." Makoto scratched the back of his head.

Lucy, however, stood up and started to sprint in the opposite direction.

"I need some more time to read this book!"

Leaving Makoto, Natsu, and Happy alone, she rushed out.

Everlue had a worried look.

'Something is not right...dammit!' He turned himself towards the Vanish brothers and the pink-haired maid. "Deal with them! I am going after that girl." With that said, he dived into the ground, starting to chase after Lucy.

"Hey,wait!" Makoto yelled, trying to catch Everlue, but...

His exit was blocked by a giant woman in pink clothes.

"Your opponent is me." She said it roughly.

Natsu looked towards Happy.

"Happy, you go after Lucy; she might need help."

Happy saluted.

"Aye, sir!!!"

The cat flew out while Luckster and Dragon Slayer were facing their enemies back-to-back with each other.

"Makoto, you deal with that gorilla woman while I deal with these two."

Makoto was hesitant. He was no fighter at all, but he nodded anyway.

"A-Alright..."

With that said, both of them took their fighting stances

I will be blunt. I love Virgo. Like, really love. So that's why Virgo is in the harem... I also can't wait to reach the Deliora arc to reveal Makoto's new power. I am really proud of the power that is linked with Makoto's luck, and it's not really op and not really weak; in a way, it's unexpected and unpredictable.

Also for people who are reading this fic through Webnovel: Check the comment section in this paragraph. I uploaded a fanart of Makoto and Erza. Yeh, I guess I can draw somehow.
