"Ooh! Naminé! Come here! Let's take a selfie together!" the brown haired girl who Naminé remembered as Odette quickly cheered. Not that she needed to go over to where she was but her arm was quickly pulled by Xion.

"Yeah! C'mon!" she enthusiastically dragged the poor girl who stumbled over to where Odette was. She held her hand high, holding her phone with the Camera application open.

"Cheese!" she called out as Naminé gave a small smile while Odette and Xion had huge grins plastered on their faces. Odette examined the picture.

"Ahh so cute!" she quickly went to Naminé's side and latched onto her arm. "You have to tell me Naminé, what products do you use? Your face is so clear and pretty I'm so jealous," she practically cooed.

Sweat dropped down on Naminé's forehead as she wanted to use her phone to let her know she barely uses any products but trying to get her phone that was in her right pocket with her left hand was hard enough with her right arm being a teddy bear for Odette.

"Odette…" Xion began, "What did I just say?"

Odette quickly stumbled back, hand ups in surrender. "Oops! Sorry about that, guess I get a little carried away sometimes," she scratched the back of her head.

Whipping her phone out, Naminé quickly typed her message.

Oh no it's ok!. She showed while shaking her head, emphasizing on her message. As she did, Odette's eyes perked up at the rack of clothes behind her.

"Ooh! Here Xion! Look at this one!" she dragged the both of them to another aisle of clothes. She reached her hand into the rack and pulled out a white dress, holding it up while staring at Naminé.

"Hmm…don't you think that this will look good on her?"

Xion rested her chin between her thumb and index fingers. "Well, not that it looks bad, but I think we can find something better!" she exclaimed as she and Odette went to work at looking at the dresses in the clothing store they were in.

Naminé watched as the two girls went to work. Sighing in not only exhaustion, but also gratitude.

In the end, she decided to accept their invitiation to visit Twilight Town with the group. Not only was she herself shocked by her decision but even her parents were surprised, but in a good way so they were really supportive offering to help her pack and even asked her to bring snacks for their friends. But in the end Naminé decided to do everything herself. She didn't really need to pack much either, considering that they were going to visit for just a few days and to meet up with some old friends.

But being where she was right now. Going on a trip with friends, it was something she couldn't even bring herself to think about the idea.

Before and even during the trip to Twilight Town, the girl had been nothing but a nervous wreck. Nervous how things were going to go, nervous how she was going to meet up with other strangers, especially since the Sea Salt Gang's Twilight Faction (as they liked to call it) will be picking them up, a million things ran through her head.

What if they didn't want her to be there? What if they just wanted to hangout with Roxas, Axel and Xion? What if they thought she was weird because her can't speak? What if they thought it was hard for her to hang out with them?

Oh how wrong she was. Turns out, Roxas had let them know in advance that they were bringing a new girl to Twilight Town and Odette, who she had learned was quite extraverted, was so excited to meet someone new that she acted as if she and Naminé were already best friends. But it wasn't just Odette. There were two other guys, Hayner and Pence, who were also excited to meet her(just that their energy couldn't match Odette's).

In fact, she was so excited, that right after dropping their bags at a hotel they booked, they immediately resorted to go clothes shopping, especially after seeing Naminé's small bag and lack of fashion-esk clothes. And with that, she found herself dragged to one of Twilight Town's biggest malls and off to the clothing stores while the guys went to rest at a café since none of them were interested in the clothes.

And speaking of those guys,

I wonder how Roxas is doing. She couldn't help but wonder, ever since they got to Twilight Town, as much as he tried to hide it, she could tell that he was…off. But not in a very bad way. It was as if coming here sucked his usual optimistic energy, his happy go lucky personality.

Suddenly, her thoughts were interrupted when Odette's hands where on her shoulders. Naminé's eyes widened as she saw the handful of clothes that was in Xion's arms.

"To the changing room!" Odette pointed her finger to said place.

Wait…what?!

The iced mocha that he drank was definitely different.

How?

It hasn't even been that long since Roxas moved to Radiant City and yet, the café which he always frequented in the mall had somehow changed the taste of his favourite drink. But yet, he wasn't too upset by it. Maybe it was because his mood was already that bad ever since he sat foot in this town.

This town which he wanted to go away from so much.

"Earth to Roxas!" Axel's voice called out as he quickly snapped back to reality. His loud voice had attracted a bit of people's heads to turn at them.

He shot back at the redhead. "What? Can't you see we're indoors?"

"Well I'm sorry but I've been calling you since just now but you looked like you had a huge Struggle Bat up your ass," Axel replied.

"I don't think a Struggle Bat can even fit up a person's ass," another joked. He had spiky brown hair that stuck out, tamed at the bottom by a headband. A hot chocolate in his hand.

"I never asked for your opinion, Pence,"

Another person laughed a bit, resting his hand at the back of his spiky brown hair, his other hand holding a latte. "I see you you're still living up to your title, Flurry of Dancing Flames,"

"Pretty sure that fiery temper never went out in the first place Hayner,"

Both of them laughed as they high-fived each other. A vein buldged at Axel's head.

"Hayner, Pence, one more time calling me that and I'll make sure you can only drink soup for a little while," he threatened as Hayner and Pence held their hands up in an 'I surrender' manner.

"Good," he turned back to Axel.

"What were you trying to tell me anyway?" Roxas asked.

"I was asking if you'd preferred going to the bar or the club later tonight with the gang?"

Roxas sighed. "Neither, not really interested in drinking,"

"When was he ever Axel," Hayner replied as he sat forward. "Look Roxas, why not just come and chill with us tonight. It's been a while since we all hung out together, so it'll be fun! It can get your mind off of some…things,"

Roxas tightened his grip on his cup. He knew that Hayner was trying to say. They were only looking out for him. But as much as they wanted to help, nothing they did could heal how he was feeling. He had nothing against this town, is what he wanted to tell himself.

How could he hate this place? It's his home, where he was born and where he grew up.

It's what happened in this town that left a bad taste on Roxas.

"Look, I really appreciate you guys for offering, but just, maybe today, I won't join. There's somewhere I want to go, but, I promise you, I'll follow you to where you'll bring us tomorrow," he sincerely spoke as Hayner sighed.

"Alright finem but just know that we're going to make sure you're socially drained by the end of this trip, you're only here for a few days anyway,"

Roxas smiled in return,

"Yeah, we're only here for a few days," Axel started "So why the hell are the girls taking their sweet ass time shopping, where are they?!"

"You have to be patient when we're in our natural habitat Axel," Xion's voice came out of nowhere and spooked him so bad that he almost fell out of his chair. All the guys turned towards her and saw her and Odette huddled together.

"What took you so long anyway?" Pence asked.

Xion shook her head and gave a disappointed-master look while moving her index finger. "My child, the clothing store is where women like us really brings out the true potential in us," she spoke, adding a wise edge to her voice.

"So you must never rush us when we are just doing our job," Odette chimed in, holding up her bags up. Axel narrowed his eyes.

"Hold up, weren't you guys with Naminé? Where is she? Don't tell me you ditched her already,"

Both Xion and Odette eyed each other while they giggled.

"Exactly, you can't rush us, and you can't rush perfection," Odette giggled.

Xion practically shook with excitement. "So let us present, our best work,"

Both Xion and Odette parted ways stepping to the side, revealing the blonde that was standing behind that. At least, that's how Roxas referred to when he first laid eyes on her. He was so caught off guard that his mouth was wide open in awe, a bit of of his drink trailing down from the corner of his lip.

Naminé wasn't dressed in her usually shirt and jeans, rather, she wore a a lacey white up that revealed her shoulders with short sleeves. It had a flower esk pattern running at the sleeves and accompanied with it, was a black skirt that ended just at her knees It wasn't just her clothes that were different. Her face also looked like it had little touches of make up, with some light color at her eyelids and her hair was now tied in a ponytail, now placed at the side over her shoulder.

Beautiful. That was the one thing that entered Roxas' mind. He blinked, wondering if this was really the shy, introverted artist he knew. She nervously stroked her hair at the side, revealing the side of her face, causing Roxas to scramble his brain even more and trying to think of what to say.

"Damn," was all Axel could say.

"Did you guys went to a hair salon and a makeup artist as well?"

Odette snickered as she reached into her bag and pulled out a small pouch. " I always come prepared,"

"Well, you look amazing Naminé'," Hayner said with a smile as Pence nodded in agreement.

Xion turned to Roxas. "Aww look, someone's so lovestruck that he's drooling," she jokingly cooed as everyone turned to Roxas. He quickly wiped his mouth away, regaining his composure.

He coughed. "I mean, yeah, you look really nice," he quickly forced himself to say.

Xion and Odette frowned in disappointment.

"Really?" the black haired girl spat, dumbfounded. "That's all you have to say?"

She was cut off by Odette's hand.

"Young one, you mustn't rush these kind of things, plus, you know our dear Roxas here is but a child when it comes to these things," she replied.

Roxas sighed. "I'm not even going to bother,"

"Alright Yoda since you're done already," Hayner stood up, "Should we head to the park now? We don't want to get there when its too late anyway,"

"True, plus, we can now take group photos, especially one with the cutest one here!" Odette cheered as she went back to hugging Naminé's arm. And with that, everyone began to leave the mall. As they did, Naminé couldn't help herself but steal a glance at Roxas, who was looking away at the other shops.

His words continued lingered in her head.

Is that was he really thought?

The huge park that they went to in Twilight Town was indeed a beautiful park, that's what Naminé thought. It really reminded her of the park she would visit back in Radiant City. There was a mini playground where everyone could act like kids, playing on the swings, and even a few workout area which equipment such as a Pull up bar, which prompted Axel and Hayner to have a pull up contest.

But besides that, she really did enjoy her time there. Almost everywhere they went, Xion and Odette went snapping away on their phones, taking individual pictures, selfies, group selfie. Meanwhile Naminé continued to snap away beautiful, scenic spots that in her eyes, would look beautiful when made in her own art style. The only question was to either to do the good ol traditional pen and paper, or make use of her tablet.

Would the shading on the leaves look better if it was done using her paint markers? She could probably use some crayons on the work to make it look slightly more realistic? Or would it save her time by using her tablet so that she could work on other pieces?

Both her and the group were so engrossed with their time in the park that they barely noticed the orange hue of the sun slowly coming up.

As she was still wondering, she noticed Roxas sighing in exhaustion as he sat down on a wooden bench, the others still taking photos, or rather just Axel while the girls kept posing. Finally taking note of her own tiredness, she decided to go join him, pulling her phone out.

Twilight Town is very beautiful. She texted. Only then Roxas saw her sitting down as he felt a notification buss from his phone. He whipped it out and read her message.

"Glad you think so too, it's always nice coming back here," he said with a smile, but Naminé hesitated. The way he smiled just like that, it didn't feel genuine. It wasn't a Roxas smile, but rather, it was a smile trying to hide something. He noticed the other girls still taking pictures.

"You're not going to join them?" he pointed to them.

Naminé gave a tired smile. A bit exhausted, but what about you?

Roxas gave a small laugh. "I mean, you know, you can only take so much pictures at a time," he joked.

Naminé bit her lip. She wondered whether or not if she should try asking him. She didn't want to pry but seeing Roxas like this the entire time, she had to admit, it almost pained her.

Seeing the one who helped her all this time looking so helpless.

She was sure Axel and Xion or maybe their other friends might know something, but she couldn't ask them. She had to ask directly.

Roxas, are you…feeling alright? She typed.

Roxas sat straight. "Huh? What do you mean?"

Naminé gulped. It's just that, I kinda get the feeling that you're not being well, you.

Roxas stared at the message for a few seconds, before breaking out into small laughter. Naminé confused at this sight. He placed the phone down and looked up into the sky.

"Well, I guess you noticed it as well huh? Not really the best at trying to hide it I'll admit,"

The expression on his face pained her even further. Her eyes dropped down to his hand that was resting on his lap. Without thinking, she raised her hand, wanting to envelope his hands in her's but she stopped her self.

What was stopping her? She doesn't know. Her hand stopped right as it was above Roxas', as if it was frozen in time.

"Haha! Mommy look!" they heard. Both Roxas and Naminé turned their heads to see a little boy playing with a small ball, kicking it around while his mother and father watched from a picnic blanket. The child kicked the ball up, then held the ball with his head, but suddenly the ball went off balance, rolling over to where Naminé and Roxas were.

"I got it," Roxas called out immediately as he got off the bench, reaching for the ball when all of a sudden he stopped. The sight of the ball nearing him was all he could thing about. His body, as if frozen right on on the spot. Naminé stood up.

Roxas?

His mind was going blank. His vision was shaking and his breathing got heavier and faster. As the ball got nearer to him, his vision flashed. Instead of the park, he suddenly saw the high way, seeing a different ball going further and further away from him. He fell to his knees as he could feel his breathing getting heavier and heavier.

Everything around him became a blur. His could feel his heart beats faster and faster but he didn't really care. He couldn't even think right on the spot. The ball slowed as it got near to him and eventually it came to a stop right at Roxas.

His vision changed, all he could see was two smaller hands picking the ball up on the road, and then suddenly hearing something.

BEEEEEEEEEP

"Roxas!"

A car's honk, and a woman screaming his name.

On instinct, he moved his hands and covered his ears, praying hard that it would block out whatever he was hearing at that moment, but it was of no use. The sound still echoed in his head as if it was bouncing off the wall.

"GAAAHHHH!"

He found himself screaming, hoping that it would distract him from what he was hearing, but it didn't help in the slightest. And for the last time, his vision changed again.

All he saw, was blonde woman, lying on the road with a pool of blood emerging from her.

Suddenly, he lost it. His consciousness snapped as he felt his body moving around before it finally collaped forward, his head hitting the ground hard.

He could barely make out his friends' scream but could still the blurry vision of Naminé, who was kneeling down, trying to shake him awake.

And at that moment, a single word escaped silently from his lips.

"M-Mom?"

And everything went black.
