Chapter 1

The Yokai Academy was a special school located inside another dimension outside of the human world where all the different types of monsters and creatures of popular folklores studied to learn about how to act like humans to coexist with them. Inside such school, students had to keep a human appearance and avoid to reveal their true monster forms to others, as it was a fundamental rule.

Though, humans weren't allowed to attend Yokai Academy, as the school was exclusively for monsters. Which was the reason why the young man known as Tsukune Aono feared often for his life while still going to that school, as he risked it various times because of other monsters attacking him out of evil intentions.

But on his first school day, he had met a beautiful vampire girl named Akashiya Moka that he befriended immediately and that protected him every time he and she were attacked by some yokai. Moka had suffered bullying when she was in a school in the human world, but she saw a kindhearted person in Tsukune that made her happy to have him as a friend.

Even her other personality hidden with the power of her rosary, Inner Moka, got a little affectionate to the boy somehow despite her usual cold attitude. But her merciless behaviour towards the monsters that attacked them was something that Tsukune disliked sometimes, as he was a person that tried to be peaceful instead.

There was also the succubus Kurumu Kurono that was friends with the boy, even if she saw him as a love interest because she called him her Destined One after she fell in love with him when he protected her from the wrath of Inner Moka. It wasn't a case that she pressed her boobs against his face every time to greet him or made him cookies to make him fall for her, causing the pinkhaired vampire to frown and fight with her for his attention.

Surely Kurumu had tried to make him hers by using her charm because she was envious of Moka's popularity and then to kill them when the boy refused her, but Tsukune's kindness and will to forgive her made her regret everything and now she liked him for real. But despite he had her, Moka and their newspaper's club's president, the perverted werewolf Morioka Ginei, as friends, the human boy felt a feeling of loneliness sometimes.

That exact feeling was the same that was haunting him at the moment in his room while he was laying on his bed with a neutral expression on his face. 'Only Moka is aware of my secret, but I can't tell Kurumu and Ginei-senpai that I'm a human; they would be too shocked. I don't like keeping secrets from my friends, but it's my only choice to stay alive in this dangerous school for the moment.'

Being the only human inside a school full of monsters was not easy for him, especially because he couldn't contact his family with the phone and was forced to rely on letters to send to his parents and his cousin. Compared to the human world, the school's dimension was an eerie place that he never liked very much, making him wish that the school could allow him to visit his world at least once a week.

Sighing, he decided to stop thinking about the problems to close his eyes and go to sleep. The following day he had both the lessons and the club activities to attend, so some good rest was a must.

After waking up in the morning, the brown haired boy got up and brushed his teeth, sweatdropping at seeing some male students in their monster forms because they transformed accidentally in their sleep as usual. Minding his own business, he went back to his room and wore the school uniform before taking his bag and leaving the dormitory.

On the way to school, he could hear already, "Look, it's Akashiya-san! She's so beautiful every time I see her!"

Looking behind him, he saw his smiling vampire friend being looked by a lot of her admirers that blushed. He blushed as well at seeing her, especially when she saw him and ran towards him.

"Good morning, Tsukune!", she told him happily while hugging him.

"G-good morning you too, Moka.", he said, blushing more and sweatdropping because he saw the guys giving him various glares of envy. Something that happened basically every day.

"T-Tsukune, can I drink your blood please?", asked him the pinkette, blushing.

But before the boy could reply, someone grabbed him and brought his face to her big chest. "Yahoo, Tsukune!", told him the sweet voice of Kurumu that hugged his head against her soft chest, making Moka get a tick mark.

"G-good morning, Kurumu.", he said in a suffocated voice.

"Let him go, Kurumu! He can't breath if you hug like me that!", complained the vampire girl that started to pull him out of the succubus' hands.

"Tsukune is my Destined One! He doesn't hate my hugs!", retorted the bluenette, glaring at Moka while trying to keep the boy in her arms. As expected, a fight between the two most popular girls for the young man started, making various students chuckle or, in the case of the males, wish to be in Tsukune's place.

"Girls, let's just go to our class. I don't want to be late.", he told them, still flushed and catching some breath. That managed to calm them down and nod in agreement, but they glared at each other because they clung onto his arms while walking together with him.

The glares of jealousy that he received from other males were pretty annoying, especially the ones he got in class when they arrived there. It wasn't like he disliked the affections of Kurumu and Moka, but he preferred if they would tone them down during the school day, Kurumu in particular; the times she tried to do ecchi things with him were countless, even if he always noticed that she was embarrassed too. Despite being a sex demon, she was an innocent girl in the heart.

Anyways, when their homeroom teacher, Nekonome-sensei, arrived and greeted everyone, she started her literature lesson during which Moka showed to be the smartest and most diligent student. Her classmates admired her for that, with Tsukune striving to take noteswhile Kurumu, being lazy, didn't care about following the lesson very much.

At least, ever since Inner Moka got rid of Saizou when he attacked her and Tsukune, the human boy didn't have to worry about another potential threat inside his class, as his other classmates were all friendly and calm people. He wished that the ones in other classes could be like them, as he hated it when he got attacked by the mermaids and other yokai in other occasions.

When the morning lessons ended and it was lunch time, Tsukune got accompanied by his friends towards the canteen, where he took a simple lunch tray. "I made some cookies today too, Tsukune.", told him Kurumu, smiling and giving a bag of homemade biscuits.

"Thank you, Kurumu.", he said, blushing and smiling.

"Tsukune, here some tempura. I made them very tasty.", said the pink haired vampire instead, taking said food from her bento and putting them on his plate.

Kurumu frowned at her and said, "Would you stop interfering with my future relationship with Tsukune?!"

"No! Tsukune is mine!", retorted Moka, pouting and glaring towards her.

"Don't fight, you two. I will eat both the cookies and the tempura, ok?", he asked them, smiling awkwardly and sighing. That seemed to do the trick because they stopped arguing and focused their attention on him eating their food offers, smiling when he praised them both.

'It makes me happy that they like me so much and care about me, but I'd appreciate if they didn't fight every once in a while.', he thought, sighing mentally and not minding the death glares of the jealous males. There were various cute girls in the whole school, so they should look at them too and not just at the most popular; they were out of their league after all.

Though, Tsukune felt like someone else was looking at him, so he looked around the canteen to find who gave him that sensation but with no results. His friends were too busy with arguing to notice his behavior and it seemed that they didn't feel anything of strange, so maybe it was just a prank of his imagination or the stress of having to survive as human inside Yokai Academy.

Following lunch time, Tsukune and his classmates had math as subject for the afternoon lessons, during which each student did her/his best because the teacher was one of the most severe inside the school and didn't like slackers. But the boy felt like someone was watching him, despite everybody's attention was focused on the lesson.

He was worried that he was going insane, unaware that a girl with purple hair and icy blue eyes was looking at him from behind a tree in the courtyard. She had a smile and a blush on her face, with her eyes gazing exclusively towards the young man and nothing else.

'Tsukune.', she thought, blushing more and looking forward to talk with him later after the lessons. In particular, during his club's activities.

After all the lessons ended, each student went to each own club's room, with the exception of Tsukune, Moka and Kurumu that could be seen in tge corridors while they were delivering the new issue of their newspaper. The ones to deliver more copies were obviously the girls because of their countless admirers while Tsukune sighed.

Their club president wasn't helping them of course because he was inside the club's room to take a nap or around the schools to take photos at girls in the changing rooms or at their underwear; he still had not stopped being a voyeur.

"Excuse me, can I have a copy?", suddenly asked a feminine voice to Tsukune, who turned around and widened his eyes.

Before his eyes stood a cute girl with long purple hair, icy blue eyes and white skin, wearing a white and blue sweater, the school's skirt, a belt accessory on her right thigh and purple striped tights. The boy blushed a bit at seeing, shaking his head before saying, "O-oh, sure. Here you go."

He gave her a copy then, but she focused her gaze on him. "What's wrong?", he asked her while Kurumu and Moka observed their interaction and frowned.

"You're Aono Tsukune, right? I'm glad to meet you. I've always been a fan of your articles; you write them from the point of view of a lonely but kind person in which I can see myself too. ", she replied, smiling at him.

"R-really? Haha, I don't think that my articles are that special honestly.", he said, blushing and scratching the back of his head.

"They're my favorite anyways and I also wrote some comments about the ones you wrote last week. Here."

She showed him a copy of the last issue, surprising him because he saw a lot of lovely comments accompanied by hearts around his articles. The sight made him sweatdrop because there were comments and praises on each article.

"W-wow, you really adore what I write. But what's your name?"

"My name's Shirayuki Mizore. Thank you for the copy and see you again, Tsukune.", she replied, smiling at him and making him blush again. Her smile was so beautiful that made him a little flustered.

Still, he got his arm hugged by Kurumu immediately and she asked him,"Who was that girl, Tsukune?!"

"Ehh?! S-she's just a reader of our newspaper.", he answered, sweatdropping.

"But she seemed to know you well, Tsukune. And that paper she gave you…", said a pouting Moka, looking at the paper in his hands. Kurumu's attention shifted to that then, so she looked at it and asked the boy if she could read it before gasping when she saw Mizore's comments.

"Noooo! That girl likes Tsukune too!", she exclaimed, hugging the boy's head against her chest and crying comically.

"I just met her today! Don't make assumptions!", he said with difficulty because of the lack of breath.

"Let him go!", exclaimed Moka that started to pull him out of the succubus' hug, causing a funny scene that made some students burst out laughing. Even when he didn't risk his life, the young human could never relax completely at school as it seemed.

Some hours later, after managing to calm down the girls again, the boy was on his way back to the males' dormitory with a frown on his face and sighing. Having a normal school day was likely impossible for him, and with everything that happened until now, he was quite stressed mentally.

Though, his thoughts drifted to his meeting with Shirayuki Mizore, as he didn't expect that there was a person, a girl to count that, that adored his articles. She also gave him a sensation similar to the one he felt during lunch and the afternoon lessons, but he shaked his head and denied the possibility that she was watching him since way earlier.

"Tsukune.", suddenly called her voice, making him widen his eyes and look at where it came from to see the purple head behind a tree.

"S-shirayuki-san? What are you doing here?", he asked her, totally surprised.

"I wanted to ask you if you wanted to come with me to the lake and play throwing pebbles together.", she told him, getting closer and smiling at him.

"Huh? Really?"

"Yes, after all, I want to get along with my classmate.", she said, shocking him.

"You're in my class? But I never saw you during the lessons."

Mizore's expression changed into a melancholic one. "I don't like the other people inside our class; they're too aggressive or make fun of others like other students do often. But you're different, Tsukune. I can feel that you're a kind person, so I want us to be friends."

Her words made the young man more stunned; he never saw her in their class since his first day, and finding out the reason behind it made him have a sad expression on his face. Still, remembering the times that he got played by some yokai, he asked her, "Y-you're not telling me this because you want to hurt me when I'm vulnerable, right? I can you trust you, right?"

"I'm aware of what some students did against you, and I promise you that I'm not like them. I really want to make friends with you.", she said, smiling genuinely at him.

Tsukune could see that she wasn't lying because there wasn't even an ounce of malice in her eyes compared to the monsters that tried to kill him; the girl was honest and really wanted to be his friend, so he didn't have to fear anything.

"Ok, let's go to the lake, Shirayuki-san.", he told her, smiling.

"You can call me Mizore, Tsukune. Let's go hehe.", she said, blushing and giggling while taking his hand. The gesture made him blush too, but he didn't say anything against it because he liked her happy expression; it made her look even more beautiful.

So the two of them walked together towards the lake outside of the woods, with their eyes meeting the sight of a big lake whose water's color was light pink. "This is the lake near my dormitory? Woah, it looks really fantastic.", said the boy in amazement.

"This place is where I come often when I feel sad because the color of the water and the calmnees makes me relax. I'm glad that you like it, Tsukune.", she told him, smiling happily.

She took then a pebble and threw on the water, making it flip 4 times. Finding it funny, the boy tried to do the same, gasping when he managed to make it flip only once.

"Oh come on! I will try again!", he said, taking another pebble and throwing it. Mizore giggled and did the same, starting to have fun while launching pebbles together with him.

For Tsukune, it felt like he went back to his childhood when he used to go with his cousin and his friends to play near the river that wasn't too far from his house. Ever since he started to attend Yokai Academy, there was never a day where he could relax and just enjoy it, as his life had put in danger various times because of some scumbags of yokai that wanted to hurt him.

But right now, he didn't have to fear anything and was having fun like a happy kid; a sensation that he missed since long time. Mizore could see the happy expression on his face in fact, which made her glad and blush because his smile was really gorgeous.

"Hahaha, it was so long that I didn't have fun like this! Thank you, Mizore.", he told her happily.

"You're welcome, Tsukune. I'm very happy that you like this place and are having fun.", she said, stopping to throw pebbles and suddenly hugging him.

Her action caught him by surprise and made him blush; despite he was being hugged by Moka and Kurumu every day, he could still get flustered when a girl gave him that type of affection. In particular, a cute and genuine girl like Mizore.

Though, he could feel that her body was very cold like ice, which made him worried. "You're so cold, Mizore. Are you ok?", he asked her out of worry.

"Oh, I'm fine hehe. My body temperature is due to this. Look."

The purple haired girl detached herself from him and the air around them started to get colder, giving some chills to Tsukune. Mizore's hair and her hands started to get covered in ice then, shocking the boy once again.

"I know that we're not supposed to reveal our forms as monsters, but since I want us to be friends, I don't want to keep it secret from you. I'm a snow woman, Tsukune. I can manipulate ice in every way I want.", she explained him while he was amazed.

Despite the cold air that kinda annoyed him, he couldn't help but watch how cool she looked in her monster form. It didn't give him that feeling of fear that he perceived from other yokais, rather she looked pretty awesome.

"Wow, you're telling me that you can control ice as you want? That's fantastic, Mizore!", he told her, smiling and making her blush.

"Y-you think so? I'm so glad to know it.", she said, switching back to her normal appearance and twiddling her fingers.

"I feel a little cold because the air you generated, but I really think you're awesome.", he added, making her blush more and smile. Being complimented like that by him filled her with joy.

"Can I know what type of yokai are you?", she asked him then, making him flinch while his expression morphed into a worried one that she quickly noticed.

"What's wrong?"

"M-Mizore, I don't think it's a good idea. You may start to dislike me if I told you.", he replied.

"I promise that I won't. If you tell me, I won't tell anybody about it. You can trust me, Tsukune.", she told him, taking his hands in hers and giving him a warm smile.

In front of her expression, the young man blushed another time, pondering if he should tell his secret or not. In the end, since she gave him a feeling of sincere trust, he gulped and said, "Alright, I will tell you. The truth is that I'm not a yokai; I'm a human, Mizore."

The blue eyes of the girl widened at hearing that, but she didn't stop holding his hands. "Y-you're human?"

"Yeah, I enrolled inside this school because my parents told me that it was easy to get enrolled here, since my grades didn't allow me to access at any school near where I live. I was shocked and scared when I found out that it was a school for monsters and that humans weren't allowed, but thankfully, no one ever found out my secret; the only person I told about it is Moka.", he explained, smiling sadly.

"Since my first day, I've been attacked by other yokais as I told you, risking my life and gettind saved by Moka and Kurumu various times. I didn't tell Kurumu about being a human because I don't how she would take it, but I did the contrary with you because I can feel that I can trust you.", he continued, lifting his gaze to look at her into the eyes.

"D-do you hate me for being a human?", he asked her in worry and scared.

To his shock, she brought his head to her chest and hugged him, caressing his hair gently while he blushed. "No, I don't. Actually, I'm happy that you trust me and told me about your secret, Tsukune, because as I felt, you are a lonely person like me. I know that you have those girls as friends, but I also know that you feel lonely because you're the only human here and fear that you will be killed if other people find out.", she told him, smiling.

"That's why I will protect you from whoever tries to hurt you from now on. Because I don't want anybody to hurt my Tsukune.", she told him, making him blush.

" Y-your Tsukune?"

"Hehe, it's just that you're cute and kind. You're my ideal type.", she replied, blushing and giggling.

'Another monster girl that likes me in that sense? Oh boy.', he thought, sweatdropping. But despite that, her words eased up his heart and made him smile, as he was relieved that she was still willing to be his friend even if he was human.

She was also right about him; the feeling of loneliness was exactly how she described it, so meeting someone else other than Moka that understood him made him very happy. Though, having his face pressed against her chest was pretty embarrassing.

"Umm, M-Mizore, aren't you embarrassed for hugging me like this?"

"No, because I saw that cow tits girl doing the same often today, and I didn't like it. I want to hug Tsukune like this too.", she said, pouting while still hugging him.

"Oh, haha. T-that's just how Kurumu acts usually around me. Don't mind it.", he assured her, but she still pouted.

"You're my Tsukune. I don't want other girls to give you affections and take you away from me."

Her words caused him to sweatdrop and chuckle; not only he made friends with another cute monster girl, but she was also interested in him in a romantic way and wanted to make him hers already. Saying that he wasn't flustered would be a lie, especially because he had still his face hugged and pressed against her chest that was pretty soft.

They stayed like that for a while before the human boy told her that he had to go back to the dormitory before it was late, so the snow girl reluctantly stopped hugging him and said that he wanted to accompany her towards there. Tsukune didn't mind and agreed with her idea, blushing then because Mizore clung on his arm during all the way.

"Tsukune, if you want, I can sleep over by you.", she told him, blushing and smiling.

"Huh?! What are you saying?! Look, I-I know you like me and all, but it's not a good idea. Besides, girls are not allowed at the males dormitory.", was his reaction at her question, accompanied by a bigger blush.

"Ok, then we will spend some time together tomorrow like we did today. See you, Tsukune.", she told him, frowning before waving to him and leaving.

'Kurumu made some sexual advances towards me, but never tried to ask me to sleep over at my room. Mizore is sure a funny and particular girl.'

With that thought in mind, he sighed before entering inside the dormitory to go back to his room and rest, unaware of the snow girl that observed him from behind the trees. It was like she was a stalker.

'Tsukune and I will be together soon and I don't care if he's human; he and I are both lonely, so only I can understand him. That's why I will protect him from whoever hurts him; no one hurts my Tsukune.', she thought, with a serious expression and the air around her getting colder.

He didn't hate her for being a snow woman and even called her cool, amazing and kind, so that made her like him even more than before. As she felt, he had a kind heart that didn't want to hurt anybody, which was the reason that she wanted to protect him and stay together with him. He entrusted her with his secret too, so she wouldn't tell anyone about it no matter what.

Though, she had two rivals for his heart, and even if they were his friends, she couldn't trust them, especially the vampire. Which was the reason that she would make the boy spend the time more with her; after all, he was her Tsukune.

A/N

Hey everybody, how are you? Yes, as you can see, I decided to delve into another anime archive, precisely the Rosario Vampire one. I watched the anime and read the full manga some years ago, and Mizore was my favourite girl to be honest.

I didn't like the lack of stories where she and Tsukune become a couple, so I decided to make one myself that starts when the two of them meet for the first time. As you can read in the synopsis, this one is an AU because it won't follow the manga's events, especially because Yukari won't be present; she's too young and I found her only as comedic relief in the OG, so only Ruby will be present as witch let's say. I liked her more for her backstory and her character honestly.

Despite he has Moka and Kurumu as friends at school, the young man still feels some loneliness and fears for his life because of being an human inside a monster school where he risked to die because of some bastard yokai. I made use of this to make him get close already to Mizore, as she also felt the feeling of loneliness and didn't dislike him for being what he is.

She also made him have fun like he did in his childhood, promising to protect him from now on because they're friends. Even if she likes him romantically and want to make him hers fufu. Since fight and supernatural scenes will be present, the rating will be obviously M (but also because of explicit ecchi scenes haha).

Don't worry about my other stories; as I stated often, I will complete each one of my fics. I just started this one now because I really wanted to start this story soon. Let a review to give your opinion about this first chapter and stay tuned for more.
