It was already dawn in the city of Brisbane, Australia, making a beautiful and colorful scenery. At the Heeler residence, on a small hill, Bandit, Chilli, and Uncle Strip and Aunt Trixie were getting ready to go out for the night with their family, Trixie and Stripe. They were just gonna go get a drink and come back while their kids are asleep. Bluey and Bingo knew this, along with Muffin and Socks, who've also come by for the night. Bandit and Chilli were both in their room getting on their jackets before heading out with Stripe and Trixie. Bandit just chucked himself as he zipped up his jacket, but Chilli wasn't pleased. This will be the first time they ever leave their kids by themselves. They talked about and after a 35 minute conversation, plus the kids giving them the sad eye, they allowed this once. But Chilli wasn't really stoked about it, knowing some downsides of leaving a kid alone, especially kids like Bluey, Bingo, Muffin, and Socks.
Bandit: Okay, hon. All set?
Chilli: I believe so.
Bandit: Great.
Chilli: But, Bandit?
Bandit: Yes?
Chilli: Do you really think it's a good idea to leave them by themselves for the night? I mean, they've never been alone before and they're really young.
Bandit: Chili, we'll only be gone for 45 minutes. The girls will be asleep by the time we get back. Besides, Pat and Janelle are right next door.
Chilli: *Sigh* I guess your right. Those girls are really tough anyway.
Bandit: Exactly! Just like how they distracted me with a mummy Robot.
Chilli: You still remember that?
Bandit: Yep!
Chilli: *Chuckle* Well, I remember.
Meanwhile Bluey and Bingo were in the playroom with their cousins, Muffin and Socks. The Heeler girls were playing a game called Tea Shop, where Bluey and Socks were the workers of the tea shop and Bingo and Muffin were the customers and wearing fancy hats. Socks was sitting on a small chair and was standing the make believe counter and Bluey was walking around like she was the waitress, going to Bingo and Muffin.
Bluey: Mrs Applewhite, would you like anymore sugar to go with your tea?
Bingo: Yes, of course. I'd also love another side of biscuits please.
Bluey: Sure thing, Mrs Applewhite.
Bluey then walked back to the front counter where Socks was all cheerfully and took some make believe sugar, and a plate of plastic cookies. Bluey walked back to Bingo with the items and placed them on the table set out.
Bingo: This is the most beautiful tea shop in all of England!
Bluey: Thank you, Miss Applewhite.
Muffin: Excuse me! I want more tea!
Bluey: Whoa! Of course Mrs Scarlett!
Bluey just giggled as she walked back to the counter. But suddenly the kids heard footsteps and saw the parents enter the playroom, who were looking down at the kids with proud smiles at them playing as always.
Stripe: Alright, kids. Why don't you come with us to the front door?
Bingo: Okay!
Muffin: Hey! I didn't get my tea!
Socks then walked over with a mini tea cup in her hands, handing it to Muffin, who took it gingerly. Then she hopped out of her seat and walked with Socks out of the play room behind Bluey and Bingo. The parents and kids all walked out of the play room, down the hallway, into the living room, and up to the front door.
Trixie: Okay, kids. Now, you know our plan, right?
Bluey: We think so.
Chilil: Well, just in case, let's go over it. We're heading out for only 45 minutes, and it's time for you all to get into bed. Now, this is a special one time thing, because it's now your job to get into bed yourselves.
Bandit: So, when we leave, Bluey, we want you to lock the door.
Bluey: What? Why can't Bingo, or Muffin, or Socks lock the door?
Bandit: Because your the oldest and it's an important job to look after your siblings and cousins.
Bluey: Oh.
Bluey kinda put her hands on her hips and made a dominant smile, like she was the owner of the house.
Stripe: Okay, then. Don't forget that Pat and Janelle are right next door if you need anything. Goodnight kids.
Trixie: Yep. Goodnight.
Muffin: Goodnight.
Socks: Bye bye.
Bingo: Bye mum.
Chilli: Goodbye.
Bluey: Bye mum and Dad.
Bandit: Bye, kiddos.
And just like that, the adults opened the front door and walked outside, waving goodbye to their kids and closing it behind them. They then peeked out the window and watched their parents walk away from the door, down the sidewalk, and towards the car. The kids watched them climb in and they started the car and drove out of the driveway, and away. The kids were now all by themselves, they all looked at each other and laughed a little, knowing they now have the house to themselves, even for 45 minutes. But they didn't wanna cause too much trouble and wanna be good girls, so they had to do what their parents asked.
Bluey: Well, I guess I should lock the door.
Muffin: Wait! If they tell us to lock the door, then how will they get into the house?
Bluey just stopped moving towards the door to think what Muffin said. If they did lock the door, then Mum, Dad, Uncle Stripe, and Aunt Trixie would be locked outside and how would they get back inside?
Bluey: Oh, yeah!...Well, I suppose we can leave it unlocked until they come back, so they don't get left outside.
The girls all giggled as they ran from the door and towards the stairs to get ready for bed, leaving the front door unlocked.
Bingo: Bluey! Bluey!
Bluey was lying in bed with her eyes closed, when suddenly she felt her shoulder being shaken. Bluey immediately opened her eyes and turned to see Bingo next to her, with Muffin and Socks both sitting up and looking at their cousins. Bluey let out a quiet yawn and rubbed her eyes, before sitting and looking at her sister, who was making a slight nervous face.
Bluey: What is it, Bingo?
Bingo: I think I hear mum and dad.
The girls became silent for a quick second, where they suddenly heard the sound of footsteps and mumbling from outside of their room and downstairs in the living room. Bluey didn't know what time it was or how long they were asleep, but didn't think of anyone else who could've been home. Bluey just hopped out of bed and stood in front of her sister and cousins.
Bluey: Yeah, let's go scare them!
Bingo and Muffin and Socks: Yeah!
The Heeler girls just stood on their feet and walked to the bedroom door, where they opened the door as quiet as possible and peeked out through the open crack. There they peeked out into the hallway and saw nobody. One by one, the girls walked out of the bedroom and into the hallway, closing the door behind them. They quietly tipped toe down the hallway and towards the stairs. They were gonna scare their parents. But suddenly they heard the sounds of footsteps walking up the stairs, meaning they were coming upstairs. The kids just giggled under their breaths and crouched down, getting ready to jump and scare their moms and dads. As they crouched down and looked ahead of the stairs, where they saw the outline of a head reaching to the top of the stairs. The person finally reached the top of the stairs and the girls looked up at him.
Bingo: Hey mum and...dad?
Bluey, Bingo, Muffin, and Socks looked up at the person, and immediately their faces of excitement fell. They all realized a second later, it wasn't Bandit, or Chili, or Stripe, or Trixie. It was someone else, someone they've never seen before. It was male and looked like a basset hound and was wearing a red beanie hat, and was holding a bag over his shoulder. He was at the top of the stairs and was looking at Bluey, Bingo, Muffin, and Socks with a surprised face, the kind a child makes when they've been caught by their parents for taking cookies from the cookie jar. The girls just looked up at him and stood up straightly, making confused faces, but were also nervous how an unknown individual was in their house.
Muffin: Uh, who are you...
?: Hey, Chuck. What do you see up there...
Suddenly some came up the stairs from behind Chuck, who looked like a belgian shepherd dog. He reached the top of the stairs and looked what Chuck was looking at, seeing Bluey, Bingo, Muffin, and Socks in the hallway, who looking at them with stunned faces.
Belgian Shepherd: Oh...Damn it.
Chuck: Ross? What do we do?! This wasn't part of the plan.
Bingo: Plan? What-
Bingo was cut off when Ross reached the top of the stairs and pulled out something from behind his back. The girls felt their blood run cold as they saw Ross holding a M1911 pistol, a firearm which he aimed at the girls. The girls immediately froze in horror from seeing the gun and wanted to scream, but fearing one wrong move and Ross would pull the trigger. Ross was looking at the girls and was aiming a gun at them, with sweat running down his head and was scanning the hallway for a plan. He looked around and saw an open door in the hallway, leading into the bathroom, giving him an idea.
Ross: The bathroom! Lock them in the bathroom!
Chuck: Okay!
Ross just aimed the gun at the girls and walked towards, before pointing to the bathroom, signaling them to go in or he'll shoot. The girls just backed away with deep fear on their faces and proceeded to walk to the bathroom. Socks normally would bite them, but seeing the gun in Ross' hand is what was stopping her. Just then they heard another set of footsteps coming up the stairs and reaching the top, revealing 2 more dogs. One was a sheltie dog, and the other was a yorkshire terrier. Chuck saw them behind him and seeing what Ross was doing.
Chuck: Mark. Lewis.
Lewis: What's going on?!
Ross: It's the kids who live here! They're still in the house! We need to lock them in the bathroom. Now!
Mark: Okay.
Mark and Lewis dropped bags in their hands, filled with stuff, and pulled out crowbars. The girls were now out right terrified. They approached the bathroom door and Ross grabbed the door handle and opened it wide, while glaring at the kids and pointing his finger in.
Ross: Now get in!
One by one, the girls walked into the bathroom as ordered against their will. As they entered the bathroom, Bluey looked back at Ross with a gun in his hand, making Bluey scared. But Bluey remembered how her dad said she was the oldest around and she is the boss, which might include protecting her siblings.
Ross: Alright! Now-
Bluey: You don't scare me!
Ross: What?!
Bluey: You heard me! I think your dumb and stupid! Your a bully and awful!
Bingo: Bluey...
Bluey: And, and...and your fat too!
Ross: Shut up!
Bluey: No! You get out of our house, you stupid-
Ross: I SAID SHUT UP!
Ross then swung his fist with the gun and hit Bluey against her right eye, knocking her to the ground hard. Everyone became silent, with the gang looking at the hit kid with pale faces. Muffin, Bingo, and Socks just looked down at Bluey with horrified faces and tears began to form in their eyes. Bluey struggled to get up and moaned from the hit, feeling the pain on her face coming. After taking a few seconds to remember what just happened, Bluey began to tear and started to cry for Ross hitting her. Bluey sobbed so hard with her mouth hung open with horrible pain, causing Bingo, Muffin, and Socks to tear up themselves and cry.
Mark: Ross! What did you do?!
Ross: I don't know! I-
Lewis: You hit someone? And you don't know?!
Ross: Shut up, now...now...
Ross trailed off when he heard the sound of police sirens coming their way, meaning someone had called. Plus, who else would the police come for?
Chuck: Oh, no...
Bandit, Chilli, Stripe, and Trixie were all driving along the road where they were coming back from getting a drink. Chilli was looking ahead as she talked because she was anxious about getting home as quickly as possible, because the kids were alone of course. They were talking about their times with children in the past as they were driving up the hill and looked ahead to see neighbors out of their houses and looking at the Heeler residence. This made the adults a bit nervous and sent chills down their spine because that kind of thing happens when something bad happens.
Bandit: What the...
Trixie: What's going on?
It was then the adults pulled up to the house where they saw the most horrific they hoped would never happen while they were away. There was 3 police cars and 6 police officers in the front lawn, with 4 goons being loaded into the back of one of the cars in handcuffs. The parents immediately felt their fears rising to the brink, because the house was broken into! But it wasn't the police or the robbers that made their fears rise, but their children. If there was a break in, their children needed them now.
Chilli: Oh, my...Bandit! Stop the car!
Bandit immediately slammed on the brakes and Chilli unlocked the door, hopping out of the car and rushing to the scene with Bandit, Stripe, and Trixie following along, without shutting the car doors or turning off the engine. They rushed up to the front lawn and across towards the front door, where a police officer saw the parents rushing and stepped in front to stop them before they rushed in. Chilli couldn't believe this guy was stopping her from seeing her children when something was wrong.
Police Officer: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Who are you all?
Chilli: I'm Chilli, and this Bandit! We live here!
Bandit: What's going on!
Police Officer: Well, funny you should ask. While you all were, well wherever you were, 4 robbers broke into your house.
Bandit: What?!
Police Officer: It's true! One of the felons even had a firearm on them.
Stripe: WHAT!?
Trixie: Where are the kids?!
Police Officer: They're inside, in the living room.
Immediately the parents bolted past the officer without a second opinion and entered the house and living room, where the adults saw their children sitting on the couch with 2 other police officers. They rushed in front of the couch and the kids looked up to see their scared parents, becoming so relieved to see them.
Bingo: Mum! Dad!
Socks: Mum!
Muffin: Dad!
The kids hopped off the couch and went for their parents, who hugged their kids as tight as they could, whimpering as tears folded their faces. Stripe and Trixie squeezed their children close to them and showered them with kisses on their foreheads. Chilli was hugging Bingo as she cried and sobbed in her mother's arms while kissing her head tightly, also weeping quietly on her own. Bandit looked at her daughter Bluey, and saw her just sitting down completely silent. An officer wearing an armband with a first aid symbol was examining her right eye with a mini flashlight. Bandit just looked and his jaw dropped as he saw a black eye on Bluey's face, with the white part red, making him realize if the robbers did this. He couldn't believe the robbers actually hit Bluey when she did nothing wrong. Bandit was glad the robbers are gonna be locked away for this, but was also angry they do touch her then he'll teach'em a lesson. But right now Bandit just walked over and looked at Bluey with a horrified face while covering his mouth.
Bandit: Bluey...
Just then the police officer switched off the flashlight and stood up, looking at Bandit with a calm face and putting his hands on his hips.
Police Officer: Hey,
Bandit: Yes. What happened?
Police Officer: One of the robbers socked her good. But don't worry, it's not that bad. It will heal and go away.
The officer just patted her on the shoulder and walked away, leaving Bluey back in the care of her father. Bandit just approached Bluey, sat down, and gently placed his arm over her shoulder. Bluey did flinch that sent a quick shiver down her spine, but knew it was her father and relaxed. Bluey just sniffled and wiped her nose and non black eye of snot and tears, where Bandit just wrapped his arms around Bluey, pulling her into a big hug. Bluey just began to cry and sob as Bandit hugged her tightly like the best father he could be. Bluey just leaned in and sobbed with deep pain like she did before when she was hit, but this was worst because she knew that this was all her fault, for not locking the door when she was supposed to. She let the robbers into the house, she put her sister and cousins in danger, she made her parents scared, and she got herself an enormous black eye. This was all her fault, and Bluey knew it. How will she get over this mountain of trauma and turmoil.
The End.
To Be Continued.
