It was a cold morning in Konoha. Sakura woke up in the apartment she was allowed to live in, given to her by the fourth Hokage after she was orphaned in the 9 tails attack . The cold air inside the apartment hit her face as if driving home the fact that no one was inside, she used to belonged to a civillian family but after her parents were killed she enrolled in the shinobi academy so that she would be able to take care of herself.
It was ironic that today was so cold and gloomy - because today was supposed to be the day when they were divided into teams and today she was to meet her new team members, she already was informed on who her teammates were supposed to be , Naruto Namikaze- the son of the fourth hokage and the jinchuuriki of the 9 tails, Sasuke Uchiha- the genius of the uchiha clan and their teacher kakashi hatake- the former anbu and the infamous copy ninja. She knew naruto and sasuke already as they were her classmates (and as close to her friends as anyone was gonna get) in the academy , so she wasn't that nervous really.
she reached the place where the newly formed 'team 7' was to meet and saw naruto and sasuke already going at each others throats,
"huh, dobe you really managed to pass the academy ? guess you aren't as big of a loser as i thought" Sasuke said with a smirk painted on his face.
"what was that you bastard ? I'll kill you" Naruto was as red as a piece of metal left in the fire to smelt
"hey Sasuke-kun, Naruto-kun werent we supposed to meet with kakashi sensei here at 2'o' clock ? " sakura said casually hoping that she would finally be able to blend into a group somewhere , who knew growing up without parents could really stunt your ability to make friends.
"HEY SAKURA-CHAN , YEAH WE WERE SUPPOSED TO MEET HIM HERE BUT IT LOOKS LIKE HE'S A BIT LATE" Naruto said excitedly as he finally noticed sakura
"keep it down dobe, looks like the sensei we were assigned is as much of a loser as naruto is , hopefully you wont pick up their habits sakura" sauske added playfully.
"you know you shouldn't say something like that about our new teacher sasuke-kun..." sakura said half jokingly
suddenly a cloud of smoke flashed in front of all three of them
"hey there i'm kakashi hatake , you three are naruto sasuke and sakura ,yes? the silver haired man spoke with laziness drooping out in his voice
"yes, sensei , my name is Sakura Haruno - Nice to meet you"
"my name is Sasuke Uchiha"
"and i am Naruto Namikaze and i am going to become the hokage , BELIEVE IT"
"aah good to see my students are such lively people, for our first meeting i say we have a little verbal exercise - Tell me what is your goal in life?" kakashi looked towards sasuske first
" My dream is to become the strongest shinobi in the world and surpass my brother Itachi uchiha" sasuke said in a brooding tone
"My dream is to become the best medical nin in the world " sakura said
"MY DREAM IS TO"
"become hokage you already said it dobe" sasuke cut naruto off clearly annoyed by the blonde shouting in his ear
"ALRIGHT THATS IT , I'LL BEAT YOU INTO THE GROUND , THAT'LL SHOW YOU TO CUT ME OFF" naruto got up on his feet
"alright , alright i think thats plenty for our first meeting , i think we can all go home for today. i will speak with the hokage and try to get us some missions"
with a poof of smoke kakashi was gone and all the three students stood there looking around amazed that kakashi could even call that small encounter a meeting. Sakura remembered going home to her small apartment and saddened at the idea, she would much rather send time with her new teammates even if it meant sitting around doing nothing with them while they fought.
"sakura..."
"yes sasuke-kun"
"are you going home now? "
"umm yeah... u unless you guys have plans"
" no we dont have any plans sakura-chan" naruto butted into the conversation
"we were going to ichiraku ramen incase you wanted to come" sasuke said annoyed that the idiot had jumped in when he was speaking to sakura
"sure!" sakura said with a happy twinkle in her eye , maybe being in team 7 wouldn't be so bad afterall...
