A/N: There is some non-consensual accidental kissing. Not graphic. Extremely mild. But I'm warning just in case if anyone finds it uncomfortable.

Josie's hands started shaking as she started panicking when the siphon realised that she could do CPR. While Hope always said 'Non Consensual kiss is never the answer', Josie figured she can argue on it with the tribrid after the said tribrid is safely alive. So, the siphon vigorously pumped air into Hope by opening it and making mouth to mouth contact. While Josie's mind tried to wander with feelings, she shook away those thoughts as this was not the time for it and she had to help Hope.

But when Josie's attempts failed, she started trembling again. All the while, it looked like Hope's ship had sailed. Hope was a fully activated tribrid. So, her pulse was always less than an average human, but was always detectable. There was no pulse for about 10 seconds, after which Josie felt a nerve beat on Hope's wrist. Hope was holding on to her life, but now it all boiled down to what Josie would and could do.

Josie's mind was now going into overdrive as she finally figured that the reason was magical and she placed her hands near Hope's right side of her breast, where a huge hole was increasing in size. Also, red-black veins were forming all over Hope's body, which meant Josie had to hurry and come up with something.

And hurry up, she did as she now siphoned the magic from the hole. The barriers within herself between her and the dark version of her were breaking as dark nerves now started popping on the right side of Josie's forehead.

The siphon figured that she had to save Hope's life first even if she went dark and dastardly. So, she siphoned and siphoned and siphoned. She put up a silencing spell first as the pain was unbearable due to the high flow of magic in her.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" She let out the unholy cry she was holding within herself all this time as the size of the hole over Hope's chest started reducing along with the red-black veins slowly disappearing from Hope's body when she felt something poking her right hand.

Josie jerked her right hand backwards to find that it was a small sliver of some red wood. Oh, red oak! Now it all made sense. Lizzie had told Josie about Hope's only weakness, Red Oak. If someone had poked it a little left, directly in Hope's heart, she would have been dead by now, but fortunately, that wasn't the case.

Josie, having now understood the core issue, did a red oak collection spell, which was basically a modified version of the blood collection spell which Hope taught her once when they were young. So Josie collected all the red oak from Hope's blood as the veins on Hope's body now turned black.

Josie audibly groaned as the red oak was only a part of Hope's problems and not everything. She still had to take out this extremely powerful magic out of Hope. So Josie went back to siphoning the tribrid again and this time with more determination. She completely let herself go and opened herself up to her darker version.

Josie could feel herself getting more powerful and magic coursing through her veins. The feeling was nothing short of euphoric. Her veins started turning more dark now as Hope's veins turned back to normal and the hole around her chest closed up.

Hope woke up with a gasp to look at Josie, who was having dark veins pop out of her forehead.

"Josie..." Hope treaded the waters tentatively. This did not look good.

"Hi Hope!" Josie smiled deviously.

'Great! She's gone dark again,' Hope thought to herself. While she was sure that Josie had just saved her life.

"SK! What happened to him? Where's he?" Hope asked Josie as it struck her mind about her boyfriend. Um.. were they? Hope just shook her head off at that thought.

"SK! SK! SK! What do you see in that pathetic guy? I'm here too and you never notice me!" Hope's eyes widened as Josie whined.

"What are you saying?" Hope could not understand what Josie, well, her darker version anyway, was babbling on about.

"I've been loving you hard since I was like 5. You always had to go look for guys who ultimately break your heart or die, and it's the same story all over again. I'm not losing you this time!" As Josie, well, Dark Josie, approached her, Hope's face lost its blood circulation and went pale as she froze.

"You, You're not Josie," Hope protested.

"Sweetheart, I'm the actual Josie. I'm all that she has repressed over the years. And the most she has repressed is her feelings for you," Josie marched slowly towards Hope as the tribrid's brain short-circuited after hearing this information.

Josie? Josie?! Hope did have a crush on Josie when they were fourteen, but that's all it was! It was just a crush!

"Josie, I understand your feelings, but I'm sorry," Hope apologised to the siphon because she was feeling guilty for not recognising Josie's feelings earlier.

"Well, I can do nothing with your sorry," Josie said in a derisive tone as she crossed Hope and went towards SK, who was lying on the bed.

"Josie, what are you doing?" Hope asked as she stood up from the ground to see Josie's right hand hovering over SK's throat.

"I'm going to kill this little pest who's standing between you and me," Josie cackled.

"Josie, no don't do this! SK's got nothing to do with this. It's me. I'm the problem. It's me." Hope's shoulders fell as a wave of sadness and fear went through her.

Then, as Josie's face approached her, there was a huge sound of the room door breaking.

"Hope!" A voice reverberated through the air as Hope saw through the side of her left eye to see SK's tear-filled eyes. But the voice wasn't his.

"Hope" Josie gritted her teeth as she approached to close the distance between their faces.

"Ad Somnum!" Hope chanted as Josie felt limp, but their lips eventually made contact. Hope was frozen for a minute, but then threw Josie back, who fell back on the floor.

Hope turned back to see his dad smirking back at her as Hope's face contorted in embarrassment even as tears filled her eyes and her heart was flying.

"Dad! Mom!" Hope sniffled as she hugged her parents tightly.

"Hi, my favourite niece!" Kol greeted Hope.

"I'm your only niece. Also, where's aunt Davina?" Hope asked Kol, after which her entire family's face dropped.

"What happened? You guys are scaring me" Hope was terrified of the possibilities.

The Mikaelsons looked at each other and then at Hope. While they actually didn't want to worry Hope too much, they figured that there was no point in hiding things at this point.

"Ken, Inadu and that wench Katherine decided to have a visit and then..." Rebekah's voice broke as her eyes were loaded with tears but she powered on "... They invaded our home and killed... Freya, Keelin and ..." Rebekah looked at Kol sympathetically as she ended with "...Davina"

Hope knelt down and broke into tears. Things have started to go seriously shit now. Those three seem to be everywhere all of a sudden, causing misery and wrecking her life.

"Hope, what was actually going on just now?" Hayley asked Hope with concern, lacing her voice, seeing a boy lying down on his bed and Josie on the floor after Hope had reasonably calmed down.

Hope explained everything that had happened throughout the day. From Inadu abducting SK to her rescuing him from Inadu, Katherine and Ken. And she being pierced by God Spear. And finally, that all she remembered after that was seeing Josie in her darker version and SK still asleep... That reminded her to look at SK, who was still lying on the bed.

"Surgere!" Hope chanted, but her eyes widened as SK did not wake up. He was just awake moments ago when Josie was about to kiss her. Was he faking it or something? Is he angry towards her?

SK's body suddenly seemed to be going into shock as his body threw up and down, meaning his midriff was rising and falling down all of its own like they show in those horror movies like The Exorcist.

Hope repeated her chanting again as she repeatedly stirred SK, trying to wake him up. This did not seem like SK being mad at her, but instead, something nefarious seemed to be at play here.

"Rebekah, Elijah, help me," Hope said in a hurried tone as she directed them to scratch SK's hands as she performed CPR on him.

She pumped his chest, but was also careful not to break his fragile human body. She was against a non-consensual kiss, so she just opened his mouth and chanted something in Latin so that air came out of her hand instead of using her mouth to pump air into his mouth.

About 2 minutes later, while the body shock seemed to have calmed down, SK was not awake.

"SK, please! It was not what it looked like. Please don't be mad" The universe had a cruel way of making her life always messed up. When she always thought things couldn't get any worse, they always did.

Hope chanted "Surgere" repeatedly, but to no avail. His heart beat also seemed like it was steadily increasing and his body seemed like it had caught a fever suddenly when Hope's eyes caught something.

There seemed to be some blackish-blue veins running all along SK's hands.

"Mom! Dad! Is it just me, or do you see that as well?" Hope asked, just to be sure.

Hayley and Klaus nodded with a dire expression on their faces as they were all joined by Hope's other family members Rebekah, Elijah, Kol and Marcel.

The last time Hope had seen such veins was roughly 5 years ago, before her father Klaus and her uncle died for the first time. Hope understood what it was but did not want to say it as it would make it real and she never wanted SK to have to go through this. She was to blame, and it should have been her. Last time, it was her, but her father and her uncle intervened to save her and this time it's SK.

She looked at her family members and then she looked at Josie, who was still laying on the floor under the sleep spell which Hope previously put up. She did not want to say it as it would make it all too real, but she had to say it.

A/N1: So, Josie's gone dark. And we know what happened to SK right? How will she rescue him? Will she rescue him? *insert evil laugh*

A/N2: Also, I'm planning to do minor rewrites to the entire story. Like the grammar, style, pacing and other stuff. I'm suddenly feeling like I could write a lot better. Updates are already slow and I I'm taking you, my reader through a ride but I haven't written anything for more than a month at this point because um... work decided to screw me over and could get more tight. Plus, even if I'm free, I'm finding myself lacking motivation due to the actual pressure at work. Updates could be even slower but I'll make it worth it. God, I'm rambling. Thank you for reading this word vomit of an author's note.
