Friday soon came, and Peter, MJ, and Ned were already at the venue watching the tech people setting up. Ned was still freaking out over having to lip-sync against Sam Wilson.
"Not only do I have to compete against an Avenger, but I also get to sit next to him on stage"
MJ just rolls her eyes "Don't know what you're complaining about, I thought you looked up to the Avengers."
"Yeah, but not when I'm going to be embarrassing myself right in front of the guy, especially in the outfit I'll be wearing."
MJ looked at Ned intrigued "I knew this was a good idea."
Peter just grimaced, because he doesn't think Ned's outfit could be worse than what he was planning on wearing.
"Don't forget losers, stay in your outfits after your performance so I can get pictures."
"You're not going to let us live this down, are you?"
MJ just throws Peter a sly smile "Of course not."
Suddenly the event organizer came out on stage "All right, all performers please make your way backstage. Last-minute reminders we need to go over as well as introduce our host for the evening."
The three quickly made their way backstage, and were immediately greeted by the Falcon himself.
"Hey, Peter long time no see, I can't believe this is what you've been up to the past couple of weeks," he said he put his arm over his shoulders in excitement.
"Yeah, I was shocked when Mr. Rogers told me you were competing."
Sam lets out a laugh as the excitement was so evident on his face "I've always wanted to compete in one of these and I figured this year was a good time as any."
His eyes then turned to Ned who had a mixture of nervousness and awe in his expression.
"I'm assuming this is your friend Ned you always talk about; I can't wait to see what you do during our battle."
Ned shook the hand that was extended out to him "Y-You too sir."
"Don't call me Sir, just call me Sam. Sir is used for some like Cap's age" Sam said playfully, but also serious at the same time.
"So is Mr. Rogers here yet," Peter asked looking back at the auditorium because despite the event not starting for another hour, some people were already coming in early to get good seats.
"No idea, he might just show up with the others."
Peter whipped his head right back to look at Sam "The others."
"Yeah, as soon as I mentioned that you and your friends were also competing, Stark changed his tune quickly about attending, and of course as soon as he said he was going everyone else sort of followed suit."
Peter and Ned, just stared at Sam with wide eyes, while MJ herself didn't show much of a reaction.
Before anyone could respond the event director started going into his spill. He introduced them to the host LL COOL J; Peter was surprised they could afford someone like him. Then he went on about how each contestant in their respective battle would be introduced on the stage, and while the first person went back to quickly get ready, their opponent would tell the audience a little bit about themselves and how they got themselves prepared for their Lip Sync Battle. Then when their opponent was finished with their song, the opposite will happen. Then those who weren't actively competing until later on were encouraged to finish any last-minute preparations that needed to be done, whether it be set design or any dancers they might have hired. In the end, each winner from their respective battles will come back on the stage to decide who is the true Lip Sync Battle champion.
"We also have an extra surprise tonight, joining LL COOL J on stage for the evening, will be none other than the Avengers themselves."
There were numerous gasps from not only the contestants but some of the stagehands as well. Even Sam looked a bit confused.
Peter moved a bit closer to Sam as he whispered "Did you know they were going to be on the stage."
"Hell no, I thought they would have gotten first-row seats, not like actually being on stage. Don't know how Tony pulled that off in just a couple of days."
Oh boy, Peter thought as his nerves started to get the best of him again.
"All right we still have half an hour until we begin, so for those performing in the first half of the show this will be your time to finish any preparations you might need because you only have 10-15 minutes to get yourselves ready between performances once we begin."
Sam turns to Ned "Well we better use this time to bring our A game because I don't plan on losing."
"All right guys I'll see you in a little bit, I just need to go talk to some of the dancers," Ned said as he quickly took his leave, not wanting to risk ruining his routine especially with the Avengers all going to be here,
With that Sam and Ned had left, leaving the two of them to themselves.
"Thank god we're the last performers, might as well go out with a bang," MJ said leaning against the wall.
Peter just raises his eyebrows, considering the last part of his act. Though he didn't respond, since his mind was too preoccupied with something other than his performance, which MJ was quick to notice.
"You need to stop overthinking so much."
Peter just looks at MJ questioningly.
"About Tony Stark, I mean if he didn't care I don't think he would have made the effort coming out here to watch you perform."
Peter bites the inside of his lip "I know, it's- "
"You tend to let your imagination go wild and assume the worst is going to happen, just like he probably lets his ego screw him over more times than he's been laid and that's probably saying a lot. I'm just saying Parker people fight every day and kiss and make up the next day, you two need to get out of your asses and just kiss and make up already."
Peter couldn't help but let out a laugh "I know, but he isn't the only reason either I'm so nervous. I'm dreading the jokes to come from the others once they see my performance, won't be living it down."
"You think Ned and I won't" MJ raised an eyebrow at that statement.
Peter crosses his arms as he softly smiles "It's you and Ned but these are the Avengers we're talking about. The mighty defenders of the earth."
"Just proves that you got bigger balls than any of them if they can't loosen up for a night and embarrass themselves in public like you and Birdbrain are."
Peter snorted out a guffaw, not at all expecting that response from MJ. He felt bad for laughing as hard as he was, but MJ, with a straight face, said he got bigger balls than the Avengers, it was probably the highest compliment he received from her.
"Speaking of Avengers."
Peter wiped a tear from his face and looked where MJ was staring at. He saw Steve Rogers making his way towards them.
"Peter I just want to apologize; I didn't consider the fact that Sam would have said something to Tony once he got the email from the organizers. Tony was so adamant about attending and wouldn't listen otherwise."
Peter just shrugs "It's ok Mr. Rogers, I didn't even consider the possibility myself even after the fact when Ned called me freaking out about having to Lip Sync against Mr. Wilson."
"Yeah, Sam was quite surprised himself, he came into the living room telling everyone about how he was competing against your friend and that you were also competing. He was excited to be competing against someone he at least somewhat knew of."
Peter just chuckled, he was about to ask where the other Avengers are, but then as plain as day Tony Stark was already there talking to both the event organizer and LL COOL J.
Steve points over to Tony "Believe it or not, he's been excited about this since he found out you were competing. I don't agree he should've gotten seats on stage, but well he defiantly wanted to have the best view possible, as in his own words to see what pop culture song his favorite intern would sing. Clint even started a bet among the Avengers about whether you or Sam will win your respective battles, and Tony was the first to place a hundred dollars on you."
Both Peter and MJ's eyes widen and mouths hung down "A hundred dollars."
MJ couldn't help but chuckle, so now there was some stake in their battle. Then another interesting thought came to mind.
"So, Star and Spangles, who did you bet for Birdbrain or Parker here."
Steve looked awkward at the question and avoided direct eye contact with Peter.
"Well, I'm going to go meet the others, they went to go find a parking space, I wanted to speak to you before the competition started."
With that Steve left, leaving Peter and MJ looking amused as he left.
Peter just shakes his head laughing "Oh great now I'm involved in a middle of a bet, pressure is really on."
"I don't plan on losing, but like I said I expect you to give it your all," MJ said as she slapped Peter's shoulder and started making her way to their seats, as the event would begin shortly.
Peter took one last glance back at Tony, but this time he also turned around with both of them meeting eye contact. He had no idea how long they just stared at one another, but when the final announcement came that it was 5 minutes to show time, Peter quickly waved at him and left to go take his seat next to MJ.
As soon as Peter sat down next to MJ, the music that signaled the event was starting was already starting to blare.
"I'm surprised there's a full house" Peter whispered not expecting the turnout.
"Told you this event is more popular than people realize."
Suddenly LL COOL J came out on stage, causing a rupture of applause.
"Good evening, New York, how are you all doing tonight,"
Another round of applause.
"Let me start by saying thank you for having me here tonight as your host, as many of you know New York has a special place in my heart. Tonight, we have many wonderful performances, while each winner will walk away with a customized Lip Sync Battle belt, only one will win the gold trophy and a check for 1000 dollars."
He then proceeded to show off the belt and the trophy in question and then pointed at the audience.
"Remember you the audience are the ones who pick our winners by how loud you cheer for the person of your choosing. So, we're going to be raising the roof all night tonight. Now we got an extra special treat for you guys tonight, not only do we have an Avenger also competing tonight, but joining me on stage for the evening are all the Avengers themselves."
The crowd went wild as he presented them on stage. Of course, True to Sam's word there they all were. Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Thor, Clint Barton, Natasha Romanoff, Bruce Banner, Bucky Barnes, Vision, and Wanda.
Peter was not surprised by how extra Tony and Thor made their entrance on stage; Thor especially seemed like he would make a good professional wrestler with the way he made his entrance.
"All right, now with all the introductions out of the way, let's get this party started."
The first on stage was between 2 girls named Emily and Anne, both college students who quickly became good friends in their freshman year. Emily lip-synced to Janis Joplin's Piece of my heart and she certainly dressed like it with a fur coat and hat, and the red-tinted glasses. While it wasn't Peter's type of music, MJ looked like she was having a blast watching the performance and even joining in throwing the rainbow-colored balls when they rained down on the audience. Anne was next and she did something more to what Peter was familiar with, Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball. Peter's mouth dropped and he's pretty sure a lot of the Avengers did as well when she ripped off her pants to reveal only her underwear. Then the next biggest surprise was when she ran and jumped on an actual wrecking ball and she flipped off Emily as she rode it.
"Wow and this is only the first performance" Peter whispered to MJ impressed and already looking forward to more.
MJ just nodded "Yeah, just a few more to get through and Ned will be up.
Peter wasn't surprised that Anne had won, he thought she had it in the bag when she jumped on the wrecking ball. Those two set the bar because the rest of the performances were just as phenomenal if not even more so. His favorite so far had to be the one where this guy named Channing came out on a fake horse, dressed up like Beyonce, and started singing Run the World (Girls). Peter kept sneaking glances towards Tony's way, and for the most part, he didn't react too much to the performances, except for the one where the girl was singing Britney Spears hit me baby one more time with the outfit to match and had all of her dancers wear it as well, and even did a bit of dance almost right in front of him.
"All right, this will be our last performance and then we'll take a 20-minute interlude. So many of you know him as the Falcon, but he's also a veteran of the United States Air Force Pararescueman and has served multiple tours. Let's give it up for Sam Wilson."
The crowd erupts in applause and many of the Avengers got up and clapped as Sam sprinted out and high-fived as many people in the first row as he could.
"Next, coming from Queens, New York, and a student at Midtown High. Let's give it up for Ned Leeds."
Both Peter and MJ stood up and cheered as loud as they could, Peter could even hear Mrs. Leeds calling out saying that's her baby.
Unlike Sam, Ned just slowly walked out his eyes wandering all around, his nervousness being very obvious.
LL COOL J then brought the two of them in the middle one on either side of him.
"All right, Sam you will be the first performer, so why don't you go ahead and get ready, while Ned here tells us about himself."
Sam thanks him and they did a handshake before, he disappeared backstage.
Ned just told him the basic stuff about being in school and what he wants to do after he graduates. While that was going on, they could see the stagehands setting up for Sam's performance by bringing out a royal chair that they sit up on some fake steps.
"So, Ned, was there any sort of inspiration you took for your upcoming performance."
"Yeah, sort of, I kind of took inspiration from one of my mom's favorite bands and knowing she was going to be here and wanted to do this for her."
LL COOL J looked touched by that "Let's give a round of applause to Ned's Mother."
Mrs. Leeds got up and waved with the video recorder in her hand as people cheered for her.
"Oh my god, I know what band he's going to do," Peter said finally hitting him, putting his hand over his mouth trying not to laugh too hard."
MJ looked interested "Which one."
"I'm not saying going to let it be a surprise, but I'm really interested in which song it's going to be and how he will dress up."
Soon both Ned and LL COOL J took their seats as Sam was about to perform. While Ned and the host sat next to each other, from Ned's side it was Steve, Bucky, Clint, and Natasha, and then from LL COOL J's side it was Tony, Thor, Bruce, Vision, and Wanda.
Some of the dancers quickly got into their place, one of the male dancers sat on the chair with 2 of the female ones leaning on him, with another 2 female dancers below them, and in between them was another male dancer.
Peter was confused because he didn't see Sam come out yet.

Sam suddenly popped up on stage, almost scaring Peter. He was wearing an all-white suit, with a pair of shades to go with it. As he started his dancing, more of the dancers came out, wearing black unitards. It honestly felt like he was watching one of May's old Exercise videos, they were moving so fast as they jumped and moved side to side with the music.
All of the dancers then made their way over to the observers on stage, who quite a few were standing up cheering him on, with Sam following behind. He then got in front of Bucky and Steve both seem amused until he ripped off his pants and threw them right at both of them. At that point it was obvious, he also had a unitard underneath the outfit. Pete couldn't help but laugh at their faces when they realized what had happened. Then he removed his shirt and threw it at Ned who clumsily caught it in his hands.
They all made their way back to the center of the stage, where Sam and the other dancers shimmied as they lowered their upper bodies a bit back and forth as they clapped before it finished with Sam posing with his arms crossed.
The crowd went wild, including the Avengers.
LL COOL J handed Sam one of the varsity jackets the male dancers were wearing "Wow, that was dope."
"I do this on the weekends, you know part of my morning routine," Sam said out of breath as he put the jack on.
LL COO J then turns to Ned "So Ned what are your thoughts."
"I wish I could be able to move like that, every part of it was amazing. No way could I ever wear a unitard" Ned said fangirling a bit, wearing the jacket Sam threw at him.
"All right, we're going to talk a bit with Sam, as Ned goes back to get ready for his performance."
At that Ned quickly got up and ran backstage to go and get ready.
Sam started talking a bit about his military career and some of his tours, and some embarrassing stories of the Avengers causing some of them to playfully complain most notably, Clint and Thor.
"What on earth is he doing," MJ asked noticing the new backdrops were a flower field, and that they were hanging up a giant dream catcher.
It was at that moment that Ned's dancers came up on stage all wearing 1970-style outfits, with several of the female dancers having flowers painted on their faces and wearing headbands. While the male dancers wore vests and those baggy pants.
Peter just shakes his head as he laughs "This is going to be great."
The lights dimmed a bit, and when they see Ned start walking out, both Peter's and MJ's Mouths dropped. He was wearing what appeared a long T-shirt with a cat on it, walking in high heel boots, and wearing a long blonde wig. He turned his back to the audience as he waited for the music to start.

Ned turns around and Peter and MJ could see his face more clearly and they were living it up. He had on a lot of blue eyeshadows, and the blush was pretty evident.

Ned and the dancers started dancing in circles, and Ned used that time to go straight to Sam, who was also shocked but enjoying what he was seeing, to present a peace necklace Sam bowed and allowed Ned to put it on before he went back to his dance. Peter was trying not to take his eyes off Ned, but out of the corner of his, he could see Clint just laughing it up and Tony looking like he was impressed by Ned, while Steve and Bucky just looked confused.
Ned was moving from dancer to dancer as they continued to spin around on stage.
"I can't," MJ said as she buried her head on Peter's shoulder laughing, though Peter wasn't faring much better than her, he had tears in his eyes for laughing so hard.
When the chorus came, all the dancers got on their backs and started kicking their feet up in the air, as Ned slowly strutted down the middle and then held himself for a brief second. Then all the female dancers circled Ned.
As the song was starting to come to an end, someone in a unicorn costume started making their way on stage. Ned started making his way to the unicorn, making Peter wonder what he was going to do. The last he was expecting was Ned making out with the hanging snout.
Just like with Sam's performance, the crowd went wild and Peter and MJ tried to make sure they were one of the loudest amongst the crowds as they stood up, beside his mother. Mrs. Leeds was losing it.
"I don't know what I expected, but defiantly not this" LL COOL J said as walked over to Ned and put a hand on his shoulder.
Ned just laughed, and LL COOL J turned to the audience "All right how many of you would take a chance on Ned here."
Again, there was more cheering, and if Peter wasn't so sure if that wasn't blushing on his face, then it would have turned that way naturally.
"Sam what are your thoughts."
Sam had the biggest smile on his face "That was probably the best thing I've ever seen, ABBA is timeless, you can never go wrong with ABBA."
"Yeah, dancing in these heels was probably the worst part of it" Ned responded, catching his breath.
LL COOL J motioned for Sam to come on up so they can decide on the winner, he quickly got one of the belts from his assistant.
"All right ladies and gentlemen it's time to decide who won this round of Lip Sync Battle."
He proceeded to hang the belt over Sam and then over Ned. Peter couldn't tell how this one was going to go, the applause seemed evenly matched. Though as much as he hates to admit it, even though he personally thought Ned had the superior lip sync, Sam might just win because of the sole fact that he was Avenger who has helped save the world.
"Your winner for this round is Ned Leeds."
Ned looked shocked when his name was called out, and he looked between LL COOL J and Sam. Sam for his part though looked thrilled, and even went over and brought Ned in for a quick hug. He was then presented with the Lip Sync Battle, which he lifted and let out a scream of happiness.
"We will now be entering our 30-minute intermission, so use this time to use the bathroom or sit up and take a stretch we'll be back shortly for our last three performances."
MJ quickly got up "Let's go meet the winner at the back, the pictures are going to be amazing."
"He might be busy for a few minutes," Peter said observing how all the Avengers walked all over to Ned, with Tony putting his arm around Ned's shoulders.
It turned out to be more like 10 minutes when Ned eventually made his appearance.
"I got to say you look more pretty than most of the girls at our school," MJ said snapping her first photo, in which Ned just gave them both a look.
"Ha ha, very funny. Do I have to wear this outfit the whole time until the end? These heels are killing my feet, and that's a sentence I never thought I would say."
"You can take the heels off at least until the end, come on Parker let me get you in on this" MJ said gesturing for Peter to stand next to Ned.
Once MJ got a few pictures that she wanted, Ned slowly sat down on the ground as he slowly undid the zipper, and took the boots off.
Peter joined him on the floor "So how does it feel, you beat an Avenger."
"I still can't believe it, I thought for sure I was going to lose you know because who wouldn't vote for The Falcon and not just because of the fact he's part of the Avengers but also a veteran of the country."
MJ scoffs "Well goes to show at least people will vote for the best performance instead of someone who just has all these fancy titles. What was up with the ending though."
"Look one of the dancers suggested it, saying, you can't be dressed as a hippie on stage without making out with an animal or a mystical creature. I kind of just rolled with it, to be honest"
MJ laughs as she throws her head back against the wall "You defiantly gave it your all, I guess the pressure is on then Parker to match Ned's performance."
Peter stifled his laugh a since neither MJ nor Ned had no idea the outfit he was going to wear, which would put Ned to shame.
"Dude all the Avengers came up to me and congratulated me, Tony Stark said it was his favorite performance of the night so far well, I even got a picture on stage with all of them."
Ned showed them the picture he got, Ned was in the middle holding his belt with Sam on his right and Tony Stark on the left, with the other Avengers right behind them.
"Told me he was looking to your performance, even tried to get me to spill about your performance," Ned said turning his eyes away from his phone to Peter.
"Really?"
Ned nods "Yeah, but I told him we promised each other we would let our performances be a surprise to one another. So, I had nothing to spill."
One of the stagehands then warned them they had 10 minutes before the show started again.
Ned quickly grabbed the boots and got up "Well I'm going to go find my parents, I'm sure they are going to want pictures as well, good luck with your performances, can't wait to see them."
"Guess I'm going to use this time to finish getting ready. I mean I already know I got this in the bag" MJ Said as she punched Peter's shoulder.
Peter just smiled "Do you know, I wouldn't count me out just yet. You'd be surprised by how extra I can be."
"Really, can't wait to see it," MJ said as she started walking away.
Peter decided not to see the last 2 performances before his, he decided to go back to one of the stage rooms and quickly went over everything again with the dancers. He also did a quick test run to see how long it would take him to get ready from the time he leaves the stage. Getting into the outfit and putting on the very cheap suit over it, didn't take as long as he thought. It was the black wig that took the most time since the choreography had a lot of complicated moves, they had to put a lot of bobby pins so it would stay on his head. He just decided to keep the wig on, but put the hat on over it, so it would be left as a surprise.
Before he knew it, it was time for his and MJ's battle, he quickly made his way to where the contestants were supposed to wait until their names were called.
"What's with the hat," MJ asked when Peter was in her line of sight.
Peter adjusted the hat as best he could "You'll see, got to be a surprise."
"Let's give it up for MJ."
MJ quickly made her way out to the stage, and Peter let out a breath as he waited for his name to be called.
"Next up is Peter Parker"
Peter sprinted his way on stage and was surprised by the loudness of the cheering. It was then he realized it was the Avengers who were all cheering over the audience, especially Tony.
"All right, our last performances for the night before we crown the ultimate Lip Sync Battle, so first up will be MJ."
MJ quickly made her way back to get ready for her set, while Peter was left on stage with LL COOL J. He told the basic things to the audience about school and his plans for after graduation and a little bit of his inspiration for his song. However, what he didn't expect was for Mr. Stark to interrupt.
"Kid you going to tell them about your internship under me."
LL COOL J looked surprised when he heard that
"That's an impressive feat, a high schooler interning under not only one of the world's most brilliant minds but also an Avenger."
The crowd started going wild.
Peter started to stutter a bit "Not that impressive, I mean I d-don't really do much."
"I'm a little offended kid, some of my best ideas come from you and you know it."
Peter could feel his face reddening and not from the heat from the lights above and he couldn't have been more thankful when it was time for MJ'S performance. He took his seat between Steve and LL COOL J and glanced over at Steve who was giving him a small smile. He was looking forward to what MJ was about to perform, the whole stage was set up like Las Vegas and there was even a huge fake airplane in the middle.
The music then started, and the door to the airplane opened, and as it did smoke came right out of it.

Peter got up in excitement and started to shout once he saw MJ, who was wearing baggy red clothes, a hat with the numerical number 24 on it, and tons of jewelry, came out dancing in front of the other dancers. She even had showgirls come out and join her on stage.
He was defiantly not afraid to admit he was fanboying so hard over her performance, the way she moved with the dancers, even if he does lose, he is glad he is going to lose against her. Suddenly he saw her walking towards him, grabbing something in her pockets and as she got closer, he saw it was money.
I'm a dangerous man with some money in my pocket
She then proceeded to shower him with money, and Peter was all too happy to oblige. It was right after that, that money started flying down on the screaming audience. Then when she ended the performance, confetti started flying out all around the auditorium. The whole audience went crazy, it was definite this was one of the best performances of the night.
"MJ that had to have been the best entrance I think anyone has done tonight, and If this was opening for a tour, I would still consider it the best entrance anyone's ever done." LL COOL J said going up to MJ who was still catching her breath.
"Thank you, and this was such a fun time I've always wanted to do this for a long time. I want to thank my best friends Peter and Ned for participating in this with me because without them I don't think I would have had the courage to even get up on stage."
Peter was surprised to see this much vulnerability coming from MJ, she usually had a stone wall up that she has let down since he's known her but not to this extent.
"Peter tell me what your thoughts are."
"That was incredible I didn't know what to expect but that blew any expectations that I had out of the water. I only hope my performance is as good as yours."
MJ was still breathing pretty heavily "Oh I can't wait."
"All right MJ go take a breather on the chair, while Peter goes and gets ready for the last performance of the night."
The crowd cheers, as Peter quickly gets up and runs backstage.
He is glad they did a quick run-through before because for once everything was going to plan. The dancers were already in their leather both the females and males, and they quickly helped him into his outfit and put the suit on over it. One of the dancers put something on his face that they said would make his skin look like it was glowing in the lights.
By the time he was finished, he had less than 5 minutes, so he just helped all the dancers get into their places and then grabbed the umbrella he would be using for the performance.
"Our last performance for the evening is Peter Parker"
He heard the audience go wild as he made his way onto the stage, but before he turned his back to the audience, he took one glance over and saw the confused look of Tony Stark watching him.
Well, he's in for a surprise Peter thought as he waited for the music to begin.
As soon as it started, he immediately started the tap dance for this portion.

The tap dancing wasn't difficult at all, this was the easiest dance move in the entire performance in his opinion.

He quickly tilted his head as he made his way over to the wall of umbrellas. He quickly ripped the suit right off as the music began to change and the cardboard set up of New York was taken away,

Peter then made his reappearance, he quickly looked over to MJ as he pointed over her way. Her hands were over her mouth looking shocked. The male dancers quickly moved out of the way to let the female dancers have their turn, and during that, he turned his head back to see the other's reactions.
Clint looked like he was about to fall over from laughter, and probably would have if he wasn't holding onto a grinning Natasha. Thor, Bucky, and Wanda looked very amused, while Tony, Steve, and Vision seemed like they were stunned into silence.
He could only hope he could see the reactions later on in the video when he started to gyrate with his umbrella between his legs and even teased the audience a bit which caused some of them to reach out to him. Though, he could hear Tony yelling something like that's my intern or something like that. Then it was time for the riskiest part of this routine, it would have been fine if it was just MJ, but because she was sitting next to Captain America, he was also going to get a front-row view. So, he quickly made his way over to her, as the song started to reach its bridge.

Thankfully MJ was a great sport since he did all but a lap dance right in front of her and Steve Rogers. His face was one he was never going to forget when he got down low in front of them and MJ pretended to swat at him.
Next was his favorite part of the performance as he splashed some water towards the audience and went back into the middle of the stage with the male dancers coming back onto the stage right behind him as the water machine started. He was so proud of the moves he came up with for this performance, and as he expected the handstand, he did got the crowd really going wild. After the flip with the male dancers, the sparkler machine started as he got on his hands and kicked his feet into the air. The rest went by without a hitch, well almost without a hitch. He ended up hitting the floor harder than he anticipated, but he would live.
The whole crowd went just as wild as they did with MJ's
Peter quickly stood up and did a bow to the audience as an extra measure as LL COOL J made his way over with his mouth still slightly hanging.
"Peter there are no words to describe that smash-taking performance, but I got to ask how hard was it dancing in this leather outfit."
To Peter it wasn't all that different from wearing his Spiderman suit, except now he's just doing it in fishnets and leather.
"I had some practice that made it easier, but this was such an amazing time and I'm so glad I got to be able to do this."
LL COOL J then turned to MJ "So MJ what are your thoughts."
"That was amazing, I'm not going to lie. The whole leather and fishnets were defiantly not what I expected to see you wearing, but here we are."
Peter just laughed and saw MJ was making her way on stage, then she turned back to look at the Avengers.
"This just proves what I said earlier, that you got bigger balls than any of the Avengers because I don't see any of them ever coming on stage in front of an audience in leather and fishnets doing what you did."
There were a lot of ohs coming from the audience, including from Peter and LL COOL J.
Natasha and Wanda of course were laughing it up, but the male members looked shocked over the comment.
"Well then, I think it's time we decide the winner of this battle and then we decide the overall winner."
"Will it be MJ with her incredible channeling of Bruno Mars?"
He then hung the belt over her head and the crowd went wild.
"Or will it be Peter with his impersonation of Rihanna"
As soon as the belt was over his head the crow lost it including the Avengers where Tony was screaming through his hands.
"All right it looks like our winner, is Peter Parker."
He then proceeded to hand Peter the belt, which he held up high.
The crowd continued to cheer, including MJ who accepted the loss with much grace.
It was then soon time to crown the ultimate Lip Sync Battle winner, so they brought all the winners back on stage, most of whom had already changed except for Ned and Peter. Ned and Peter stood next to each other, and Ned couldn't look at Peter without shaking his head in laughter. He even apparently ruined the makeup he had on when Peter and MJ were performing because he was crying so hard.
Peter wasn't sure if he should've been surprised or not when he was declared the ultimate Lip Sync Battle winner, they quickly gave him the trophy and the check for 1000 dollars. Soon he found himself being lifted in the air by some of the male contestants, including Sam from wherever he came from. For Peter, this night was probably one of the funniest he has had in a long time, it didn't matter whether he won or lost but he had fun with Ned and MJ which is really all he cared about in the first place.
Peter, MJ, and Ned ended up in the dressing room after the event officially ended, so they could have some privacy to get pictures taken by Ned's mother before they went off to get changed and go out for a late dinner.
"Peter, I hope you know I'll be making extra copies for you Aunt, and making sure she gets the full video experience," Mrs. Leeds said as she put her camera away.
"Yeah, May had mentioned that earlier, she's probably going to die of laughter considering when I told her I was doing Rihanna's umbrella she was laughing so hard she was tearing up."
Mrs. Leeds then turned to Ned "All right I'll be outside waiting for you kids, don't take forever getting change."
As soon as the door shut behind her, MJ started laughing as she hides her face behind her hands
"When I said to bring it your all, you two went above and beyond what I imagined, especially you Parker. I don't think I can ever look at you, without seeing you in leather and fishnets and an umbrella between your legs."
Ned nods in agreement "Yeah you defiantly deserved to win, how did you even come up with that whole routine, especially with the waterworks and the sparklers."
"Well, when I watched the music video, the waterworks and sparklers were a definite must that I brought from the video, some of the choreography, it's kind of hard to explain the process of how the dancers and I came up with it."
Suddenly there was a knock on the door, and MJ went to answer the door thinking it was a stagehand or the event organizer, she wasn't expecting Tony Stark to be on the other side of the door.
"Well, if it isn't the Three Amigos"
Peter already knew why he was here, and he figured they might as well get it over with cause if it wasn't tonight then surely it would be another night.
MJ did not look impressed "If you want our pictures, then 100 bucks each."
"How about 100 bucks each if you and Ted over there, let me speak to Rihanna in private for a bit," Tony asked, already taken out his wallet,
Both MJ and Ned glanced over to Peter, who just silently nodded.
MJ and Ned quickly took their money and shut the door on the way out.
Peter quickly took a sit in one of the chairs, with Tony doing the same, sitting right across from him. To say it was awkward was an understatement, neither one didn't want to be the one to make the first move.
"I never thought I would talk to you wearing fishnets, and leather," Tony said finally commenting as he gestured to Peter's get-up.
Peter just let out a small chuckle 'Neither did I, but here we are."
"Got to say you did a number on Rogers, his face was beet red with that lap dance of yours, and you nearly killed Clint when you walked out in that," Tony said, with amusement in his tone.
Peter just smiled hard remembering how embarrassed Captain America looked when he did that lap dance in front of him and MJ.
"Well, if it wasn't him it was going to be someone else and I think he can blame you for that for getting him to sit on stage."
Tony just shrugged "What can I say, always got to have the best view possible."
Peter just sighed and decided to just get straight to where he knows this conversation will go."
"Mr. Stark, I'm s-"
Tony then cut him off by raising his hand "Aap Aap, I'm going to stop you right there. You got nothing to apologize for."
Peter just looked confused and was about to open his mouth again until he was stopped again.
"Kid, please just let me talk without any interruptions for this one-time capeesh."
Peter just nodded and sat back.
"Listen I'm sorry about what happened, as much as I hate to say it out loud, I completely overreacted. Hell, I knew it the moment everything came out of my mouth and you had left. I think we're both similar in the way we both let our emotions get the better of us, me with my anger and you with your eagerness. I should've been clearer on the instructions"
Peter just raised his eyebrows a bit as he remembers what got them in the situation in the first place.
"I know you said don't apologize, but I am sorry how it all turned out. I figured I give you some space from me for a couple of weeks, which is why I just canceled the past few weeks. I was planning on coming back at the beginning of next month, I'm surprised Mr. Rogers didn't tell you that after he visited my apartment."
Tony just scoffs "Please there's a lot Rogers keeps from me, like how he kept that he knew about you performing tonight from me. Only found out by accident from Sam."
"Mr. Rogers said it himself that you weren't even interested in the first place even when you knew it was just Sam performing."
Tony leaned in a bit "Well I like you more than Sam anyway, so I changed my mind and decided to come out and support you and your friends. I'm so glad I did because kid that was a damn impressive performance, I certainly would not be seen in that outfit."
"So, you're saying MJ was right on stage then."
"I'm not even going to answer that kid, but I'm going to try to be more patient I can't say there won't be bad days but I can at least promise there won't be a repeat of what happened last time in the lab."
"And I'll try to be more mindful when I get excited."
Tony then proceeds to get up and gestured for Peter to do the same and then he proceeded to bring him in for a hug which both of them weird.
Suddenly they heard a click go off and both immediately turned around and saw Clint Barton with his phone in his hands/
"Legolas, how the hell did you get in, there are no vents in here."
It was that this point Natasha entered the room "Well he might have had a little help, being able to open doors without making noise was part of my basic training,"
"And I just got the picture of the lifetime," Clint said with a chuckle already forming plans in his head on what he wants to do with it.
Before with could respond, the other Avengers started walking in, except for Sam.
"Ah young Peter that was truly a mighty battle it was, I am glad you emerged victorious as the best Lip Sync around," Thor said as he raised his fist in the air.
Natasha then glanced over at Steve who still couldn't look Peter in the eyes "Well we know Steven enjoyed every second of it."
"You know what Romanoff."
Bruce was rubbing his neck a bit "I mean you had me fooled at the beginning with singing in the rain, I'm more of a classical person than some of today's songs."
"Yeah, it's one of the few songs I recognized because that song was used in Hollywood Revue 1929, just obviously different singers," Bucky said slightly disappointed, but just looking at Peter in the leather outfit just made him want to laugh over and over again.
Tony's face quickly changed as he realized he forgot one important detail.
"Ah that's right, let's not forget our bet, everyone. Those who voted for Sam pay up, Peter not only won his battle but the entire thing" Tony said as he extended his hand out to receive payment.
Steve, Bucky, Wanda, and Thor all handed over a pretty significant amount of money to Tony.
"So, what why do you guys vote for me, anyway," Peter asked Vision, Bruce, Clint, and Natasha
"My calculations on you winning your battle involved several factors or lack including who were competing against. So, I felt voting for the clear underdog was the best solution, as the underdogs have a 50-50 chance of pulling through."
Peter wasn't sure if he completely understood Vision's reasoning.
Bruce just shrugged his shoulders "You're pretty creative both in and outside the lab, so I figured whatever you came up with would have been blind blowing, and I wasn't wrong."
"I mostly was thinking along the same thoughts as Bruce, because I know your not one to do things half ass, you're going to give it your all" Natasha said as she squeezed his shoulder/
Wanda just shakes her head "I should have voted with Vision, but your friend showed up Sam."
"I know I wasn't sure who was going to win, I thought Sam was just because he was an Avenger which in of itself gave him an edge."
Tony then took the cash he was given and put it in Peter's hand "Well I'm glad he lost because Ned's performance was defiantly the best one, and I think would've been a tad irritated if he won because of his Avengers title."
"Uh-Mr. Stark, the money" Peter said not knowing what just happened but when he looked down, he swore he saw about 200 dollars.
Tony just raises his hand "It's yours, kid, think of it as payment for missing the past few lab sessions."
"But you don't even pay me."
"Well, something to discuss when you come back."
Peter reluctantly accepted it, knowing he wouldn't take no for an answer.
"All right, so what's your plan for the rest of the night."
"Oh um, Ned's parents were going to take us out for a late-night dinner once we get change."
Tony then clapped his hands together "First off we still got to pictures, I'm letting you or your friends get changed before I get more pictures and secondly, I'm going to pay for dinner for everyone tonight."
He then proceeded to point over to Vision "All right Vision can you and Wanda go round up the other two and bring them back in and let Mr. and Mrs. Leeds know Dinner is on us tonight."
Those two quickly left to do what they were asked, as they just stayed in the room and waited.
"So young Peter, may you tell me where you acquired the garments. I wish to acquire some for my own."
Peter and everyone else in the room just looked at Thor like he lost his mind.
"Why," Peter asked slowly not sure if he wanted to know where this was heading.
"Because your friend said our balls were not as big as yours for not being able to do what you did on stage tonight."
Peter and Natasha couldn't help but smirk, but everyone else looked a bit horrified.
"I think she just meant metaphorically Thor," Steve said trying to dissuade him.
"Either way our manhood is on the line here if we don't prove ourselves."
Clint just shakes his head "No it's not."
"He's not wrong, I mean neither one of you guys in this room has the guts to do what Peter or his friend Ned did tonight," Natasha said purposely putting fuel to the fire.
Peter's eyes widen "Oh my god that would be amazing, Lip Sync Battle Avengers Edition."
At this, the guys just continued to argue with one another over it, and Peter just smiled as they argued feeling that things were going to be just fine.

Alright here is part 2 of Lip Sync Battle. Sorry it took longer than expected to get out, but i ended up testing positive for Covid and I was pretty much in and out of sleep for the first few days. I tried to get this out sooner, but it was hard to even write the first few days. So I might come back to edit this chapter at a later date as I felt it wasn't the best work I could have done. I do plan on doing Tony's POV at some point, but not now as I'm going back to my other story for the time being. Let me know if you are interested in that. Ned I use take a chance on me that Craig Ferguson did in Lip Sync Battle, as I wanted to use another song that was in it so you could go and watch on youtube to see the whole performance, since I referenced quite a few other battles from the show.
