Cranklyn, New Donk City. A bustlingly wide metropolis filled with a ton of cars, hot dogs, pizza and the flag ship store of Crazy Cap for all your clothing needs. In the big world of New Donk City filled with nearly 20 million residents, you gotta make a name for yourselves and stand out or at least, that's what Mario Mario thought.

Mario Mario was a amateur engineer in New Donk City. Standing at an average height with a stout plump build, he has short, thick, and unruly brown hair. His bushy moustache is one of his most distinctive features, a thick and perfectly groomed brown wonder that curves slightly at the edges, giving him a friendly and approachable appearance to everyone who meets him. Mario's warm smile is always present, ready to offer comfort or spread joy to those around him. Just at 22 he had many degrees in plumbing, carpeting, medicine, participated in multiple sport competitions such as tennis, golf, basketball, football/soccer and baseball. He also had countless part-time jobs over the years including a bartender, boxing referee, freelance artist, toy Maker and juggler. Mario was labelled as "gifted" at a very young age, not only because of that succulent bushy moustache he managed grow at just 6 years old and which has continued to grow but Mario was good at anything and everything he did, he was optimistic, outgoing, adventurous, and courageous but had little bit of an ego, according to his twin brother Luigi Mario.

Whereas Mario was a courageous happy go-lucky guy, Luigi, wasn't, In spite his taller and more leaner statue compared to Mario, he was timid and cowardly and unlike Mario was labelled as "special". Luigi in spite his more anxious and weird nature was incredibly gifted in one aspect, his intelligence. Mario was head-strong and impulsive though to a fault, wasn't the brightest blub in the room, that's where Luigi came in. Where Mario protected his brother from bullies, Luigi helped Mario's grades become less like F's and more like A's. The two were an inseparable pair, nothing could hurt them, as long as they were together. Despite this though, it felt in some instances this pact they had was more one-sided, Mario was favoured and celebrated by people around him, while Luigi was forgotten about in an instant and felt like he was living in his brother's Shadow, lowering his self-esteem in an instant.

In the present day, the brothers have just come back from a war in the Kongo Jungles trying to save the Apes and Multiple animals from the Kremlings. Mario was in the frontlines as he battled for his life multiple times, straining his physical prowess to it's best of ability while Luigi helped supply bombs for the cannons they would use to blow away opposing forces. It was a hard but short war which they won. The brothers and soldiers came back with a boatload of animals.

Now what? The brothers asked. The two decided that they need a job one that needed to pay the bills and so enrolled themselves in a new engineering job, Spike's Construction Crew. Focusing on building, carpeting, plumbing and electrics. The 2 worked long and hard hours in the sewers and the construction site for a boss who doesn't really like them that much, actually he really hates them. Foreman Spike Scapelli. Spike was a muscular man who overpowered the bros, with a strong and sturdy physique. He was often seen wearing the same worn-out, orange overalls, blue Shirt, sunglasses and a orange hard hat with an blue S embedded on it. Foreman Spike's facial features are rough and weathered, reflecting his years of working in tough conditions. He sports a thick black blueish beard and moustache that adds to his tough and intimidating appearance. His eyes are sharp and piercing, often displaying a stern and competitive gaze that conveys his relentless drive to succeed and earn money.

Before the brothers joined spike, he had been the go-to plumber for the City, known for his expertise in fixing pipes and solving plumbing problems. But with the Mario brothers' arrival, their reputation quickly overshadowed his. Mario and Luigi's exceptional skills, coupled with their heroics in the war, gained them immense popularity among the citizens.

As Foreman Spike witnessed his once-loyal customers flocking and wanting the Mario brothers, a feeling of jealousy and resentment began to consume him. He couldn't understand why everyone adored Mario and Luigi, considering himself the more experienced and deserving plumber.

Seeking validation and desperate to regain his standing, Foreman Spike decided to take matters into his own hands. He made the Brothers take on more challenging construction projects, hoping to make the Mario brothers fail. However, his efforts were consistently overshadowed by Mario's heroic feats and Luigi's uncanny ability to solve any problem that came their way.

With each failed attempt to prove his worth, Foreman Spike's frustration grew. He believed that Mario and Luigi had robbed him of his rightful place as the City's premier plumber and construction worker. The more he saw the brothers succeed, the more he despised them, fuelling his determination to bring them down.

In his twisted mind, Foreman Spike began to blame Mario and Luigi for his own shortcomings and the loss of his reputation. He became obsessed with seeking revenge, devising schemes to undermine the brothers and tarnish their image in the eyes of the New Donk City denizens. But his dark wishes, would soon become to be.
