Hello???? Anyone still here? I sure hope so :)
Alright, here comes the fun stuff.
The sun began to set near the Diamond home. The day was slowly becoming night and the stars became a reminder of what it meant for everyone in the house.
Carlos and James double checked each other's belts, making sure their weapons were secure and accounted for.
Lucy, Dak and Jett all spoke silently, looking over their equipment or double knotting their boots.
Nai fixed their belt as John picked his hair up in a ponytail, then beginning to stretch in silence. Next to them, Willow and Leah stood with each other, having a private conversation near the TV.
Everyone waiting patiently for their leader and the man they were fighting for.
Logan let out a shaky sigh, one by one putting on his rings. He hadn't need to put them on in two years. He finally picked up the last one, giving it a long glance, he watched as his wedding band glistened in the light of their guest room.
Logan realized how important this ring was to him at this very moment. He was about to put himself and everyone that he loves at death's front door, just so he was able to put on this ring.
A ring given to him by the only man that truly loved him.
A man that would never hurt him, and makes sure that no other person would.
"Logan."
Logan looked up at the mirror he was standing in front of, looking at his husband who stood behind him, watching his expression.
"Everyone is downstairs, they're ready when you are.", Kendall muttered.
Logan took a moment to look at himself again.
Was he really going to do this?
"Hey..", Kendall muttered, looking deeply into the mirror. "I'm with you, always.", he reassured, making Logan's heart ease.
Logan nodded, looking back at his husband before the both walked out of the room. Reaching downstairs, Kendall and Logan were both met with the rest of the gang dressed and prepared the plan. Everyone slowly looked over at them, ending their quiet conversation.
"Alright guys, this is it.", Kendall said in a serious tone. "We go in, John, Nai, Dak, Lucy and Jett-- you'll take care of anyone outside so the rest can go inside and clear Steven, you don't come in unless you are called for back up, understood?", Kendall commanded, gaining a nod from everyone else. "Good-- Logan?", Logan looked up at his husband. "Anything you wanna say?", he asked.
Logan looked back at the group, taking in each stare from the people he loved, the people he barely knew and yet her they stood together, fighting with him. "I can't thank you guys enough for doing this. I know we all agreed that this was a fight for me, but to me, this is a fight to protect everyone from my past--", Logan said, glance at James, Carlos, Leah and Willow. "-- and my future..", he smiled, glancing at Nai who gave a small smirk back. "And like you, I'll do everything in my power to make sure you guys are safe.", Logan ended, receiving a smile from everyone.
"We'll leave in 3 minutes.", Kendall announced making everyone look around their group.
James turned to his husband, pulling him in by his waist. "You better be driving home with me tonight..", he said.
Carlos placed his hand softly on James' cheek. "I'll be sure to meet you at the door.", he cooed, trying to hold back his tears. James pulled him in, kissing him softly. They hold it a little longer than usual before pulling away. "I love you babe.", Carlos mutters.
"I love you more.", James whispered, kissing Carlos' forehead.
Willow watched their wife as she turned towards them. "Are you sure you can handle this?", they asked.
"Yes babe, my back is fine! Please stop asking..", Leah muttered.
"I'm not talking about your back.", Willow said, catching Leah a little off guard. "Last time you saw Logan's father, he almost killed you. I just want to make sure that you're ready to do this again..", they explained.
Leah looked back towards Nai and John, who stood in patiently for the rest of the gang, then finally looked over at Logan, who was hugging Carlos tightly.
"If it's for them--", Leah started, looking back at Willow. "If it's for you--", she placed her hand softly on their cheek. "I'm more than ready.", she said confidently. Willow smirked, leaning in to kiss their wife softly.
Logan let go of his hug with Carlos, watching him and his husband walk away. He looks back towards Kendall, their gaze now locked with one another. "Hey..", Kendall started, he softly taking his husband's hand. "I want you to promise something to me..", he said.
"No--No! You're not doing this to me--", Logan muttered softly, he feeling his eyes get watery.
"Listen to me Logan.", Kendall said with a serious tone, making Logan look back at him. "If-- somehow I don't make it out of there with you-- keep going. D-don't sulk over me.", Kendall said, watching Logan try to avoid crying. "Move on, start that family we always wanted.", he continued.
Logan shook his head, wrapping his arms around his husband's neck hugging him tightly. Kendall could instantly feel his body fall to his warmth, he wrapping his arms around Logan's waist. He sighed, breathing in his husband once more. "Wherever you go, I go.", Logan said, his tears falling faster than before. Finally pulling away a little, Logan leaned in, kissing his husband passionately. He wanted to make his possibly last kiss, one they will both remember.
Pulling away, Logan let out soft breaths. "I love you so much.", he muttered.
"I love you baby.", Kendall said, kissing him softly again. He finally pulled away and faced towards the crowd. "Alright, let's go.", Kendall said.
Logan looked around, watching as everyone walked towards the front door.
There was no turning back.
The winds pushing against the Stanford Factory played through the night, the winds also helping to mask the gang's foot steps, they were able to get close enough to reach the front of the building.
"James, Dak-- what do you see?", Kendall asked.
"I count 2 on the north, 2 on the west.", James announced lowly.
"I count 2 on the east, 3 on the south.", Dak answers.
"that's less than half of his squad.", Leah mentioned.
"Outside team split, Dak take your team north and west, John, you and Nai, Leah and Willow take south and the rest of us will take east, that should be the entrance.", Kendall ordered, everyone nodded, waiting for his hand cue before quietly running towards the building.
Pulling out his brass knuckles, Dak grinned widely at his first guard. Sneaking up behind him, he grabbed his gun, making the solider turn around before throwing a nasty right hook, instantly knocking him out. Not paying attention, a soldier pulled his gun up to shoot him, but was immediately stopped by Lucy, who shot a gun with a silencer in close range, his body dropping to the floor. Dak looked back, shrugging with a smile making Lucy roll her eyes.
Two guards heard a sound in the bushes in front of them, pulling out their guns, they scan the area, trying to detect movement again. Suddenly Jett's big body shows up behind them, taking their heads and slamming them together so hard, the impact made them instantly knock out. Suddenly Dak and Lucy appear from the bushes. "So much for military grade soldiers-- they don't check their blind spots!", Jett complained.
John and Nai watched behind the tree, Leah and Willow doing the same. He looking around, he noticed that both bodyguards are on the bigger side, but no guns. "Of course we get the huge motherfuckers man..", Nai whispered.
John took a moment, calculating his options. "Nai, Leah you take the guy on the left. We'll handle the right.", he ordered, making everyone nod, a bright grin on Nai's face.
Nai quickly ran up behind the soldier, he immediately hearing their steps, he prepared for his first throw. Before he could swing, Nai slid under his legs, letting Leah throw a right kick towards his face, making him fall backwards. Nai quickly got up, wrapping their arms around the soldier's neck and tightly holding it. "Now!", they shouted, making Leah swiftly kick him in his crotch, making him fall forward on his knees. Nai then swiftly hit him with an elbow jab, making him fall over.
John and Willow ran quickly towards the other guard, they beginning to throw a few punches, the solider blocked most but suddenly got overwhelmed when John threw a triple hook, making him wobble back. Willow running over to John, he gave a look to show he was ready, catching Willow and lifting them to throw a side kick towards the guard's face, making him fall back. Willow and John out of breath, smiled at their teamwork.
Not noticing the last soldier behind them, he stood at a height where his shadow casted over them. Turning around to swing, they noticed the soldier was suddenly falling forward. John and Willow moved out of the way, letting his body fall then looking back to see Leah wiping the dirt off of her hands and Nai with their arms crossed in front of them. Willow smiled brightly at their wife.
"West and north are cleared.", Dak said through his ear piece.
"South is also cleared.", John said through his ear piece.
"Alright, everyone head back towards the entrance.", Kendall said, looking back at his husband. "You ready?", he asked.
Logan continued to look forward, watching as the two guards stood with AK-47's. He sighed before nodding. Kendall nodded with him, pointing at James to go right then pointing at Carlos and Logan to go left, they all nodding understanding the plan.
James and Kendall sneak over to the right, the soldier already hearing something pulls out his gun, ready to aim when suddenly a gunshot plays, making the soldier drop his gun in fear of his hands being shot at, giving James the upper advantage to grip the soldier's arm, holding it behind his back, taking his dagger to the soldier's throat. The soldier struggled, almost tripping James back before hitting him in the gut, making James loosen his grip. The soldier then pulled out his pistol, going to direct it at James but was interrupted by Kendall wrapping his arm around the soldier's neck, pulling him away from his best friend.
"I really hate to do this but--", Kendall muttered before getting the soldier's neck and cracking it harshly, making the soldier stop moving and drop to the ground. James, still a bit out of it looked at Kendall.
"thanks--", James said.
"yeah, yeah thank me after we kill Steven.", Kendall said with a serious tone.
The other soldier, now hearing the commotion pulls out his gun facing the other way, giving Carlos the advantage to pull out his dagger, grazing it on the side of the wall. Hearing his movements, the soldier turned around pointing his gun but saw no one standing there. Suddenly he felt a light tap on his shoulder, turning around he watched as Carlos smiled maniacally, then pointing forward. The soldier looked forward to see Logan running full speed, and before he could react, Logan landed a right hook on his jaw, making him shuffle back. Carlos kicked at the back of the soldier's knee, making him fall, then Logan pulling up his fist, punch the soldier again making him knock out completely. Carlos pushed the soldier's gun in the bushes.
"Good work bestie.", Carlos complimented, Logan a little out of breath, holds his fist.
"Thanks-- I forgot how bad that hurts.", Logan chuckled nervously, making Carlos shake his head.
"Guys!", James said out loud, catching both of their attention. Carlos and Logan run closer to their husbands, suddenly Leah and Willow showing up with them.
"Alright, we go in, we take him out, we get out. Go it?", Kendall asked, making everyone nod, he pulls out his silver handgun.
Logan watched as his husband turned towards the entrance, he could hear his heartbeat pounding in his ears.
This was it.
Kendall quickly opened the door, making everyone run through. Looking around, they could only see a dark room, only the light from outside coming in from the small windows above the building.
"Keep eyes everyone..", Kendall whispered.
As soon as the end of the group was in, the doors slammed closed, making the light suddenly turn on. Kendall stood, his gun pointing towards the man of the hour.
Steven sat in a foldable chair sluggishly, a desk next to him held only a Bible. Surrounding the inside was at least 5 soldiers, but they looked different, they looked as if they had no weapons, and they didn't have the same gear as the soldiers outside.
"Took you long enough. I thought I'd might have to go out there and kill those men just for their incompetence.", Steven said, still not looking at the group. Suddenly Willow and James placed their hand on their guns, Kendall cocking his. "Ah-- you don't want to do that..", Steven said, suddenly the soldiers swiftly pulled out their handguns, pointing in towards the whole group in a circle. "You shoot, they all die.", he muttered, finally looking at Kendall. "And I'll make sure you'll be last.", he muttered.
Kendall thought for a moment, then huffed, lowering his gun down.
"Good..", Steven muttered, making his soldiers back away, their guns now gone. Steven stood up slowly, walking closer to the group.
"For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.", Steven quoted, getting closer to the group. "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.", a smile grew on his face as he watched Logan stand behind his husband. "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.", he finished, Kendall still staring at Logan's father in anger.
"We came here for a fight, not a Bible sermon..", Kendall gritted.
Steven stopped, a grin growing on his face. "You're right, what we need is a proper and fair fight.", he muttered, looking back at his son. Logan's eyes burned with fury, looking at his father over his shoulder. "No guns, drop them.", he muttered, Kendall took a second, watching Steven's moves.
"They drop theirs first..", Kendall muttered.
Steven let out a small cackle. "Men, drop your guns..", he said. Soon the five soldiers took out their handguns and placed the on the ground, pushing them back to walls of the building. Steven looked back at Kendall, making Kendall drop his gun, James and Willow doing the same. They all being picked up and pushed towards the back of the walls. "Men, take care of the rest, save my son and this one for me..", Steven said, looking Kendall dead in the face. The gang stood in their stance, each having their own soldier to fight, leaving Kendall with Steven-- alone.
Leah and Willow stood in front of their opponents, taking their methods from what they previously learned, they used all their strength to keep their fight going. Willow with a little effort, got their soldier pinned down, dislocating his shoulder before knocking him out with their foot.
Willow suddenly heard a shout, looking over they saw their wife being held by her neck, her legs up in the air. They run towards them, before Willow could get there, Leah stand on her feet, aggressively flipping the soldier over, slamming him on the ground before kicking him in the face to knock him out. Willow stared excitedly at their wife, Leah looking back up at them with angry eyes, but soon softened. "That was really hot babe..", Willow said, making Leah smile.
After a few punches, James finally knocks his soldier out.
"JAMES!", James heard his husband call, looking back, he sees him being cornered by a soldier about twice his size. James quickly ran, full speed, he slammed into the soldier, making him fall forward with him. Finally getting over him, James threw heavy punches to his face. He grunted, using his strength to try and knock him out but the soldier caught his hand, making his momentum stop. The soldier grip was a hard, making James grimace in pain. "BABY DUCK!", James heard Carlos say, making him instinctively drop his head. Suddenly a large clang played, James looked up to see the soldier under him knocked out and his husband holding up a square piece of rusty metal, he still trying to catch his breath. James looked back at him with a grin. "Thank you baby.", James smiled.
Logan ducked, avoiding a swift punch from his opponent. He trying to stay in one position caught the soldier's hand, twisting it before trying to give a side kick but the soldier caught what he was doing, using his other elbow to stop his blow. The soldier took his foot, lifting it up to trip him back. He fell to the ground, making the soldier stand above him and throw punches. Logan using his hands to stop them, he noticed that he was getting tired. The soldier pushed down harder, making Logan use as much strength as he could.
Logan heard Kendall grunt, looking over, he watched as his husband was being throw around like a rag doll, his body hitting the table, pushing it over. Kendall tried to get up on his own, but Steven grabbed his neck, squeezing it tightly.
"No..", Logan said, his anger growing. Suddenly his strength grew two folds, giving him the ability to flip his soldier around and knock him out with a single blow. Logan got up, running quickly over to where his husband was. "HEY.", Logan shouted, making his father look back, his hand still gripped around Kendall's neck.
"L-Logan-- s-stop.", Kendall choked out, still trying to free himself.
"This isn't his fight. This is between you and me.", Logan said.
Steven looked at his son for a moment, following his expression carefully. He finally let go of Kendall, he dropping to the floor trying to catch his breath again. Steven walked over to Logan, his shadow slightly casting over his son. "You're right-- but we don't have to. We can end this son. If you repent..", he said, his arms covered in veins.
Logan looked dead into his father's eyes, and for once, he wasn't afraid anymore, no-- he was angry as hell. "I'll repent for my sins, when you repent for yours.", he muttered, Steven's eyes grew angry.
Steven grunted, going to throw the first punch, Logan moved out of the way, gaining a chance to kick him in the shin, Steven hissed but threw a successful punch at Logan, making Logan fall to the ground, he quickly got up, noticing his father coming to throw another one.
Everything seemed to move in slow motion for Logan. He would've never believed that he would be fighting his father, not to the death anyway. Every hit was a subtle reminder of his past, the way his father would torture him-- Leah-- his mother--Kendall.
Logan can feel his anger rising, now being able to endure his father's pain, he looked for an open shot, he spotted his father's hand, making a left hook at his jaw, the force pushing his father back. He threw a right, then left hook again, then finally kicking him in the chest.
"ENOUGH.", Steven shouted, grabbing Logan's foot, pulling him close to slam him on the ground. Logan grunted in pain, his face being pushed down into the pavement. "The demon spawn that took my son away from me all those years still lives in his soul.", he said, squeezing harder on Logan's head, making Logan shout out a little. "I will not, let you of all things stop me from doing God's work..", he grunted.
Logan gritted his teeth, trying his best to move his father's foot. His vision began to blur.
Steven grunted, falling back with a thud making Logan gasp, lifting his head off the ground. Gaining his vision back, he watched as James pushed himself off the ground next to his father, Steven getting up faster, kicked James in the face, making him fall back again. Carlos tried to throw a punch at Steven, but was greeted by Steven's hand grabbing his neck, squeezing tightly before throwing him to the ground. Willow and Leah bolted towards Steven, both making a move to throw a punch. Steven swiftly kicked Willow, making them drop to the ground holding their rib. He grabbed Leah by the neck once more, lifting her up off the ground.
"May the Lord forgive you.", he muttered, slamming Leah down on the table it breaking into a pieces, its wooden splinters flying around her. She shouted, her pain paralyzing her to the ground.
Steven looked back over at Logan, he still on the ground tried to pick himself up again but was still dizzy from the pressure. Steven stood above him, kneeling down on his arms to keep him from moving. "This fight-- is over.", he spat, pulling out a handgun from his back of his pants, now pointing it in front of his son. Tears of anger poured down Logan's face, bitterly accepting the next thing that was bound to happen to him. "Vous ne verrez jamais les portes du ciel.", Steven said, cocking his gun.
Logan shut his eyes, then suddenly felt the weight come off his arms, sitting up to see Steven and Kendall on the ground, Kendall trying to get the gun away from him. Struggling, Steven moved his arm.
The sound of a gun going off rang through Logan's ears. His heart stopped for a moment, getting up to see his father standing up as Kendall laid on the ground. Logan stared in disbelief, his body trembling with anger.
H-he killed him.
Logan's face grew stone hard, his eyes burning as he looked at the back of his father's head. With a grunt, he ran, jumping on his back and wrapped his arms around Steven's neck. The gun still in his hand, Steven struggled to rip his grip off of his neck, falling backwards. Logan persisted, keeping his lock around him as Steven struggled for air. Logan gritted his teeth, angry grunt escaping his lips. Finally Steven let go of the gun, dropping it to the ground. Logan swiftly let go, running towards the metal weapon, grabbing it, he turned around, noticing his father towering over him.
Logan stared at his father dead in the eye, cocking the gun.
Just like he taught him--
The sound of the gun going off rang in the entire room. Suddenly Steven fell forward, Logan moved out of the way, making his father's body slam on the floor. Blood slowly poured from the top of his forehead. Logan stared at his father's body, out of breath. His hand still shaking from the vibration of the gun and his face was slightly covered in blood and cuts. He finally turned towards the rest of the gang, Willow shuffling over to Leah, who was still unconscious. James and Carlos went to each other, helping each other up. Logan finally looked at his husband, he still laying on his side.
"K-Kendall--Kendall!", Logan croaked, finally getting up, running over with a slight limp. He kneeled next to his husband, moving his body to face up towards the ceiling. Logan looked over his husband, noticing a bullet wound in his right shoulder blade making Logan gasp. "Kendall-- babe please, please it's gonna be okay..", he whispered, leaning forward to kiss him on the forehead, holding his face. "Please..", Logan began to cry, a sob causing him to lay his head on Kendall's chest.
Logan couldn't believe it. He prayed that he was dreaming, and would finally wake up for the nightmare he pleaded would never come. And when he opened his eyes, the first thing he wanted to see was his husband's smile, the same smile he gave Logan when they first caught each other's eyes. To hear him hum his favorite song back to sleep, he would give anything to know that his husband was alive. He continued to sob in Kendall's shirt.
The only man that he's ever felt love from--was gone.
"Hey..", Logan gasped, suddenly feeling Kendall's hand graze over his hair. Logan sat up, looking at his husband with teary eyes. Kendall grinned, a hiss leaving his lips as he tried to sit up.
"No-- don't sit up. It's okay.", Logan said, making Kendall lean back.
Kendall smirked, mumbling something quietly, making it hard for Logan to understand.
"Kendall--baby stay awake...", Logan said with a shaky voice.
Kendall POV
Did we do it?
I laid back, watching as my vision became darker and darker.
Is he safe?
"Kendall!?", a muffled voice of Logan's called out.
Just tell me everyone is okay.
The shadow of bodies stood above me, their voices slowly muffling out until he completely fell unconscious once more.
I know this seems kind of short, but I wanted make this moment more description based. Please go ahead to the next chapter hehe.
