Hello everyone.
Here we are at the end of the story. I wanna thank you for getting this far and being so patient with me through my journey. I hope you enjoy this as much as I will.
Alright, here we go.
You watch as the morning sun rose above the blue water. The waves softly splashing along the shoreline, playing its soft tune.
Kendall watched the water in quiet content. He stared out into the ocean, captivated by its glowing hue. He took a deep breath, a soft smile growing on his face.
"Kendall!"
Kendall turned to the sound of his husband's voice, he waving towards him.
"Daddy!", Kendall's smile turned into a big grin, watching as Logan and a 5 year old boy ran down closer towards him. The little boy ran a bit faster than Logan, leaving his other father behind.
"Be careful Zach, you don't wanna fall!", Logan shouted, trying to catch up.
Hearing Zach's happy laughter, Kendall turned towards his son, picking him up into a hug, making him scream with joy.
"We finished the tent daddy!", Zach smiled.
"Did you now?", Kendall said, making him nod. "Well I'm sure it looks great kiddo.", he smiled.
Logan finally stepped closer to the both of them, giving Kendall a kiss. "He even helped place out the food, and put it all over the sand..", he slightly chuckled, shaking his head.
"I'm sure cheese sticks with a side of sand wouldn't be too bad.", Kendall chuckled with a shrug.
"That's so bad for you.", Logan chuckled.
"I'm sure Carlos and Leah brought extra snacks, and knowing Leah, I know she will.", Kendall said.
Like on cue, you could here James whistle loudly from afar. Making the Knight Family look back, you could see James pulling in a cooler and two beach chairs, his glasses sitting on his face, complimenting his swim trunks. They all smiled, they walking closer to one another.
"Uncle Jamie!", Zach said, wiggling out of his father's arms before running over to give his uncle a hug.
"Hey there kid! Good to see you!", James said, holding his hug for a moment before the both pulled away.
"Where's Tio Carlos?", Zach asked.
"He's helping your aunt and zaza with their stuff. They were just behind me--", James trailed off, suddenly hearing a shout from afar.
Looking out you can see Carlos carrying two extra beach chairs and a towel bag, while Willow stood next to him with a big beach cooler. There behind them was Leah, in her bikini showing off her 5 month baby bump.
"Sorry we're late! We parked kind of far.", Leah giggled, her hand placed on her belly.
Logan smiled, walking over to Leah to help her with her bag. "It's fine, we're just happy you were feeling better this morning.", he smiled.
"I know-- I think he's finally liking the things I've been eating.", she smirked, now walking next to Logan.
Everyone placed their things down, setting up for their family beach day.
Willow helped Leah sit down and lay back on the beach chair. "Thank you baby.", Leah sighed, laying back deeper into the seat.
"Auntie Leah?", Zach said.
"Yes baby?", she smiled sweetly.
Zach walked closer, climbing up on the chair with her to sit in between her legs, he moved his body closer to the baby bump. "How much longer is it gonna take for--for the baby to come out? I really wanna see what he looks like!", Zach cheered, making Leah chuckle.
"Promise honey, I wanna see him just as bad as you do.", she smirked. "But soon, we have to make sure he comes out strong and healthy.", Leah nodded, her hand still on her tummy. She suddenly flinched, a gasp leaving her lips.
"What's wrong auntie?", Zach said.
"Nothing baby, your cousin is just moving a bit. Would you like to feel it?", she asked, making Zach nod happily.
Leah slowly placed his small hand near the bottom of her belly, Zach waiting patiently for the baby to move. Suddenly he felt the baby's foot tap his hand softly, giving it a light push. Zach giggled happily, excited to meet his cousin.
"Have you guys figured out a name for him yet?", Carlos asked, opening the cooler to grab a water.
"We have a few options, but we're not sure.", Willow started.
"I said I was perfectly happy with naming him after one of Willow's brothers but they insist we pick a new one.", Leah shrugged.
"I want one that we can both agree on.", Willow concluded.
"Okay what about--Kyle?", James said.
"No.", Leah said.
"Michael?", Carlos said.
"A little basic.", Willow shrugged.
"Jeremiah?", Kendall said.
"Eh--", Leah said, making Zach giggle.
"What about Noah?", Logan shrugged.
"No!", both Leah and Willow said loudly, making them jump.
"Okay-- I see we've already brought that name up..", Logan chuckled, crossing his arms.
"Ouh! Ouh! I have a name!", Zach said, raising his hand as high as he could make it.
"Go ahead buddy, what do you got?", Willow said.
"How-How about Nathan?", Zach muttered.
Willow and Leah went quiet. Their eyes widened a little in surprise. "I--", Leah looked over at their spouse, emotional tears began to surface in Leah's eyes. "I love it-- please say you love it.", she smiled, letting out a little chuckle.
Willow nodded, sitting with their wife on the chair next to her. "Yeah baby, I'm okay with this one.", they smiled, kissing her softly.
"Yay! See you soon Nathan!", Zach said, slightly yelling at Leah's belly button, making them all chuckle.
Kendall looked back at his husband as Logan watched his son with a prideful smile. Kendall wrapped his arm around his husband's waist, catching his attention. "We got ourselves a good kid didn't we?", he asked.
Logan smiled, looking back at their son as he ran over to James to get a piece of a chicken wing. "We have ourselves the best kid anyone could ever ask for.", he sighed, looking back up at his husband. "And the best husband in the world to along with it.", Logan ended, making Kendall smile and lean in for a kiss.
Life seemed to have passed by so quickly with the Knight family and his friends. They all still worked at the company, and made it mandatory to eat/go out as a family every month or so. Their third year on, Willow and Leah announced to the group that they were planning to have a baby. After countless doctor visits and a few failed IVF treatments, Leah was happy to announce only a few short months later that she was happily pregnant. But of course, not even a baby could stop Leah from doing her job, showing up to the office everyday to make sure things are running smoothly. Willow also being there to make sure she doesn't push herself too much. Willow had a family to support, so they were going to make sure they were always there for their wife and new son. James and Carlos have been quite content with their life. While they didn't see much of a future with their own kids, they were more than excited to become uncles of two new, amazing ones. If their parents weren't going to spoil them, they were gonna make sure that they would. With no big threat coming in and out of their lives anymore, Kendall and Logan spent the next few months after the fight to adopt their first child. After almost a year and a half later of agency interviews and house visits, they were finally able to legally adopt Zach, adding him to the Knight Family name.
Kendall never expected to reach this far in his life. When he first started the business that they have today, he was sure he wouldn't make it to 30. But now at 35, he was blessed with friends he never knew he would have, and a son that he was sworn to protect and raise with the man he loved the most.
Kendall looked at his husband, he happily putting sunscreen on Zach as the little boy giggled.
He always wondered how he got where he was, and now he understood it. The moment he caught eyes with Logan almost 16 years ago was the day he had truly changed his own fate, letting him experience this beautiful future he never knew he could have. He was more than grateful for Logan, he was exactly who he needed in this world. A world where he's always felt alone.
Kendall watched as his family spoke amongst one another, watching as the sun slowly rises in the sky. He looked at his husband again with adoring eyes. Logan noticing he could feel his cheeks flush. "W-what?", he stuttered.
Kendall shook his head. "Nothing, I just love you-- so much.", he said.
Logan tilted his head to the side, a sweet smile growing on his face. "I love you more baby.", Logan muttered, leaning in to kiss his husband.
From now on, he knew he was never alone.
And he happily never will be again.
And that is the end of this story.
Thank you so much for getting this far! I hope you enjoyed it just as much as I did.
Until I feel inspired again, I hope to see you in the next one!
bye bye now!
