What's up, everyone? It's certainly been quite a while since many of you last heard from me. To give a quick rundown on where I've been the last long while, I've recently graduated college and have been working part-time for the last six months. I initially intended to spend my days off working on my stories but ended up finding myself distracted by other things. Guess that's what happens when you finally finish school and find yourself with more free time than you're used to, huh?
However, I'm here to assure you all that I am still planning on writing my stories and would like to give you an update on the current status of my stories. For starters, I'm currently working on the rewrite for Persona Kagura: The Fallen Messiah, and then once that's finished, I plan to work on the next chapter of Venomous Spiritsince those two stories have the least number of chapters and thus should be easier for me to finish. Once that's done, I finally plan to start working on the rewrite for Godzilla: Rulers of Earthland! I bet many of you are as excited as I am! I'm hoping to have the first chapter out by the end of September at the earliest, but we'll see how things go. Oh, and just to let you guys know, as soon as the first chapter for the rewrite is posted, I will be deleting my old story and will be starting a new one, so if you want to keep the old chapters of my previous story, I suggest that you download and save them as soon as possibly before they eventually disappear.
As for Monsters and Devils, I've actually run into a bit of a snag with that one. When the person who shared the idea with me first pitched it to me, they suggested that all of the Toho movies (Showa, Heisei, and Millenium - although with the exception of Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, GMK, and the Kiryu Saga) exist in the same universe and that it should be the same Godzilla that appears in all of them, which I thought was an interesting idea at first. However, now after thinking harder about it, I realize how difficult that would be to follow through on due to each era of Godzilla movies having its own radically different interpretation of Godzilla and his origins, with Showa having Godzilla start out as an enemy of humanity, only to eventually be portrayed more as a heroic figure, Heisei altering Godzilla's origins and having him be for of a force of nature that fights to protect his home, but still considers humanity a serious enemy, and finally the Millenium era being a series of stand-alone movies that each take place after the 1954 movie and also having their own interpretation of Godzilla. Oh, and let's not forget Final Wars and how it basically explains that Godzilla had been entombed in Antarctica for the last 50 years while other monsters started popping up afterward until he was released, which basically messes up the whole timeline.
So to summarize, I, unfortunately, will be putting Monsters and Devils on the back burner for the time being until I can iron out the kinks in regards to how to make the timeline work without being confusing and will get back to working on it when I do. I do apologize to everyone who was really looking forward to getting an update on that one, but I really want the story to be the best that it can be, so I hope that you understand.
