Naruto: College Day's

The days passed pretty quickly. Hinata never answered the text from Naruto and didn't get anymore, though she enjoyed hanging out with the girls and despite what she thought fit in well especially with TenTen. Then classes started and she seemed to always be going a hundred miles a minute, she panicked slightly when she noticed Naruto was in a lot of the same classes as her though he liked to sit in the back whereas she sat somewhere in the middle.

"So Naruto seems to think you are avoiding him." Sakura said as the two girls walked through the quad to the coffee shop. "Says he tried talking to you and you kept walking."

"I-I'm not avoiding him I just have been busy, I also don't really know how to talk to him after the other night."

"Why? Is this because I told you I kissed him?"

"Not from what he says." Hinata's hand flew to her mouth, her eyes wide. "I'm sorry it's not my business, I don't know why I said that."

Sakura laughed, squeezing the other girl's arm. "Yes, Naruto and I did more than kiss. But it was only two times and it was years ago."

"Sakura please, you do not have to explain."

"Look Hinata, I love Naruto but as a friend trust me we were fifteen and just wanted to get the first time out of the way and we thought the other was the one. Yes I know dumb so young but honestly after the second time we called it quits."

"Oh okay." the shyer girl mumbled

"And if you like him I think you should go for it, you two really seemed to hit it off from what he said. So maybe just text him and tell him he wasn't an asshole."

Hinata giggled and blushed with a nod as they entered the coffee shop walking to their usual table where Ino and TenTen were waiting.

"So what should I say to him?" she asked as she pulled her phone out Ino and TenTen were already turning to them with questions.

"She's finally texting Naruto back." Sakura said as she waved down the waitress.

"Oh good the idiot asks about you everyday." TenTen slapped Ino on the arm as Hinata blushed playing with the ends of her low ponytail.

"I was worried he wanted more than what I could give. Neji has not helped my outlook on college guys."

"Naruto knows I would kill him if he ever did anything to you or any female. Trust us he is a good guy and if you just want friendship tell him." Sakura smiled as the waitress finished taking down their orders.

"Yeah just tell him you had fun the other night, and that you've just been busy, I mean you have a full workload."

With shaky fingers she pulled out her phone, biting her lip as the others began talking again about school, and guys.

Hinata: Hey, sorry I didn't text back, just been busy settling in and with classes. Just wanted to let you know I had a good time the other night.

With a quick breath she hit the send button, setting her phone down just in time for a cinnamon bun and coffee set down in front of her. The other girls chatted while she remained quiet trying not to keep checking her phone, though if she was honest with herself every time it vibrated she jumped and checked it. Even the other girls looked at her phone whenever they heard a buzz or 'ding' which usually ended up being one of their phones.

As they began walking back home Hinata couldn't help but feel like maybe she had missed her chance with Naruto. That's when she realized they were not heading back to their dorm and were headed towards the boy's dorms causing her to frown and turn to Sakura confused.

"Where are we going?"

"Geez Hinata, you agreed to come study with us at the guys place not even ten minutes ago." Sakura laughed

"Oh right." she giggled nervously as they continued to walk to the dorms. She almost froze when she saw Naruto and Sasuke standing outside waiting for them, Naruto smiled and waved at them all the way up until they reached where they were standing, Sasuke just gave them a nod though Hinata was sure she saw him wink in Sakura's direction. Sasuke held the door for the girls but before Hinata could walk through Naruto grabbed the door letting Sasuke go and motioned for her to follow with a smile.

"Glad you came Hina." he almost whispered, making her blush as she smiled back following after the rest of the group.

The guy's dorm was set up the same as the girls and was shockingly neat despite the stories Hinata had heard from Neji about how gross the men's dorms could be. Hinata was pulled out of her thoughts by a warm hand grabbing hers, she looked down at the golden tan hand then looked up at Naruto's smiling face.

"You can sit with me Hina, we have a lot of the same classes anyway."

"Okay." she whispered back as they walked over to the slightly made bed and sat down. Naruto already had his books out as Hinata pulled out her notebooks from her bag. As the night went on Hinata saw that Sakura and Sasuke were awfully close, and not spending much time on studying at all. When she looked up at Naruto she saw he was slightly frowning with a far look in his eye as he looked at his friends.

"You okay?"

Naruto jerked and looked back at her his face a little sheepish as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Yeah, she's always liked him. I'm happy he has finally pulled his head out of his ass to notice."

Hinata chewed on her cheek looking back and forth between the couple across the room and Naruto who was studying her notes from their business class, reached over and touched his hand. He raised his eyebrows looking up at her as she blushed and smiled.

"Would you mind walking me home?" she whispered

"Uh yeah, yeah sure." He smiled and helped her pack up her notebooks before they told everyone he was taking her home.

"Before you go back, would you like to grab something to eat? I know it's late now and there really isn't much around that's open but there's an all night ramen and sushi place not too far."

"Yes, I would like that." Hinata smiled as they continued to walk to the restaurant. As they walked in, the man behind the counter greeted Naruto with a smile and a wave.

"I'm not much of a cook, so I come here a lot." Naruto laughed as they sat down, a waitress came over and took their order, both of them got pork ramen and a boat of sushi to share.

"Do you still love her? Sakura I mean." Hinata asked as they waited for their food.

With a sigh Naruto leaned back in his fingers locked behind his head as he averted his eyes to the ceiling, Hinata wasn't sure if she wanted to hear his answer as she watched his face become thoughtful.

"She was my first love, so I guess in a way I do but not in a romantic way now. Even when we started dating back in highschool she liked Sasuke, but he had made it clear he wasn't interested." Naruto moved to cross his arms on the table as the waitress brought their drinks and they mumbled a quick thank you.

"She finally gave me a chance, and eventually pity dates turned into real dates and well I am sure she told you we decided to be each other's firsts." his cheeks flushed some as she nodded and his face seemed to turn sad "I knew she regretted it, we didn't talk for a couple days after, I will never tell her I never felt that way. Even the second time I didn't regret it but I called it off though we both decided to tell people it was mutual."

As the food came they sat in silence for a while eating until Naruto looked up and gave her a small smile, "I'm sorry you didn't need all my baggage."

"No, it's okay, I asked."

"To answer your real question though, I haven't thought about Sakura romantically in awhile, though most other people i've dated or hooked up with didn't stick around to long either,"

"Others?" she frowned, of course he dated others he's gorgeous.

"Well enough about me, what about you?"

Hinata blushed, shaking her head slightly "No guys for me, I went to an all girls private school and my father and Nejo were very strict. I was also way too shy to even really talk to anyone let alone the opposite sex."

"So, you meant you've never done anything with a guy?" Naruto said shocked leaning closer to her making her face turn red as she shook her head.

"N-no nothing."

Naruto took a large drink of his soda before smiling at her "I admire that, most people in my highschool fucked like rabbits, I think its amazing you waited."

Hinata choked on her food slightly when he said 'fucked' so blatantly and then laughed when he panicked and she waved him off tell him she was fine and thanked him for saying what he did. The conversation steered in a different direction when Naruto started talking about their business professor,

"Seriously, the man could put anyone to sleep."

"You could always sit with me, I'd help you stay awake." Hinata smiled

"Really Hina?! That would be great, seriously it's only been like two weeks and I'm dying, Jiraya will have my head if I fail."

"Is Jiraiya normally strict?"

"Eh, not strict really but he always wants us to do our best and my parents would have wanted me to as well. But really Jiraiya is just an old pervert who my parents made my godfather."

"Do you know much about them? My father never talks about my mom, my sister was so young when she passed that usually I am the one telling her about our mother."

"Yeah, I mean my dad was the boss at the company he owns, he loved my mom even as a kid, was attracted to her fiery red hair and temper. Jiraya said they balanced each other out, and were never happier than when they had me." he gave her a small smile as Hinata reached across grabbing his hand "Jiraya always tried explaining to me when I was a kid that is was a blessing I wasn't in the car with them, kids teased me for being adopted and an orphan I used to wish I had just been in the car with them."

"Oh Naruto,"

"It's okay, I don't think that anymore." he smiled and reached in his pocket pulling out his wallet and then a small worn photo, a blonde man had his arms wrapped around a red heads waist his hands resting on her belly as they both smiled widely at the camera, though at first glance Naruto looked like his father, he seemed to have his mothers smile and features, as Hinata handed the photo back to him she reached for her phone and pulled up the photo she has of her mom in the garden before she gotten sick.

"wow , she's just as beautiful as you." he smiled at her as she blushed "Do you garden? I used to have a lot of plants, but now in the dorm they would just die since we don't have a window."

"Yes, we have a huge garden at home which I mostly attend to, though now that I am not home my father hired someone I am sure."

"Neji said your father raised him?"

"Yes, his father passed away when he was young as well. My father and he were Twins."

Before they knew it they were walking back to Hinata's dorm, again Hinata felt as though they had known each other for years. Naruto made Hinata laugh with his outrageous stories of what he and Sasuke, Shikamaru and Choji used to get into as a kid. How the girls used to get dragged into their shenanigans despite always trying to get the boys out of it.

This time Naruto walked Hinata all the way to her door, giving her a small kiss on the cheek and he smiled.

"No avoiding me this time, okay?" he laughed as Hinata blushed and nodded furiously. "See you in class tomorrow?"

"Y-yes, I will save you a seat. And text me when you get back to your dorm?"

Naruto smiled widely and nodded as he watched her walk into the door and close the door, she pressed a hand to her cheek as she walked quietly through the dark room. All the others were asleep, she hadn't noticed it was past midnight. She dressed in her pajamas quietly and waited trying to keep her eyes open, finally her phone buzzed.

Naruto: Thanks for tonight ! Can't wait to see you tomorrow :P

Hinata: Yes tonight was fun, now get some sleep before I have to pinch you all through class tomorrow lol

Naruto: maybe I like being pinched :P lol

Hinata blushed not really knowing how to flirt or if he even really was flirting.

Hinata: Good night Naruto

Naruto: Good night Hina, sweet dreams !
