Chapter 2

Jerome's POV

As my eyes fluttered open, I noticed lush green vines hanging from the jungle trees towering above me. I slowly tried to get up, concerned about how I had woken up here. However, I felt something grip my ankle as I started moving.

"AAAAAAAA!" I screamed.

"Hello, Jerome," I heard Henwy say, only his voice was…creepy is the only way I can describe it.

I looked down at my feet, & Henwy was sitting there, looking extremely upset with me, only…was he GLOWING? Oh well, there could have been worse things to grab me.

"H-Hey Henwy! I'm glad it's just you and not a snake that grabbed me. Do you remember how we got here? At least we are both still alive."

"That's not exactly true…"

I started thinking about what he said, and then it dawned upon me…

"I'M DEAD?!"

"No, but you will be if you don't apologize for what you've done!"

Henwy pulls me down and laughs maniacally as I fall flat on my face. That was painful, so that must mean I'm still alive. Wait a minute, that means…

"Henwy… you're dead? But it can't be! How did you die, but I survived?"

"The meteor directly hit me, while you only got hit by the shockwave," Henwy calmly stated, even if his face was showing me that he was anything BUT calm. Somehow, him not yelling made the situation even scarier…

"Henwy I'm sorry! I'll bring you back to life!"

I burst into tears and kneeled before him. There's no way he could be dead. How could he have died, when I've done nothing but protect him? I can't live without him by my side!

"I'm listening…" Henwy said with a raised eyebrow.

A couple hours later: "Got your cello, Henwy?"

"Yep."

"Are you going to start playing?"

"Yep."

Henwy seemed like he had calmed down a bit, which I was grateful for even if he was only speaking to me with one word answers. The ritual required calm minds. I pulled out the sheet music from my pockets and summoned my dark blue piano. while Henwy pulled out his yellow cello…

Henwy's POV:

Me & Jerome started playing the life bringing music. At the end, I was so angry with Jerome that I decided to sabotage the ritual by deliberately messing up the last three notes.

"Damn it, I messed up," I said.

"It's ok," Jerome said. "Happens to everyone."

Jerome's POV:

Of course I had to forgive Henwy for messing up the last three notes. Not only is he my friend, it would also be hypocritical of me to not forgive him when he said he forgave me for betraying England. Also, the mess-up was so minimal that I didn't think it'd matter. Unfortunately, I turned out to be VERY wrong. We proceeded with doing the ritual. After it was over, I took a look at Henwy, ready to see him back to life. However, he turned out to look demon-like.

"H-Henwy?"

I could not take my eyes off of him.

His face was distorted to where I could barely recognize him & his body had shrunk considerably.

"Henwy, what happened to you?"

"I sabotaged the ritual. I'm going to be possessing Sigils & turning him evil," Henwy said with a little bit of an evil laugh.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked, horrified at what had happened to my friend.

Henwy just laughed at me and said, "I can sense that Sigils is filled with just as much hatred for someone who betrayed him as I am. I can convince him to join me and become one!"

"Are you serious?"

"With all my being."

Sigils POV:

I was still very angry with Biffle, but after our conversation, where I had made it VERY clear that i was disappointed with him, I had to admit that I was feeling much calmer. We got back to the camp center just as Clyde was leaving for home.

Are you guys ok?" Clyde asked.

"A bit," I answered.

"Well, I need to get home, but if you want, we can talk tomorrow," Clyde said.

I nodded, & we said our goodbyes.

"See you later," Biffle said quietly. I nodded at him.

Just as I was about to head home and rest my head on my soft green bed, I heard a sweet voice in the distance calling my name. I was tempted to go investigate it but I was too tired to do so, so I just pushed it out of my mind for now. As I was getting ready to fall asleep, however, I heard the voice sing to me once more. I could have sworn in the background there were the sounds of cello strings. I haven't heard those deep sounds in a long time… but there's no way he could still be alive. Even though I couldn't confirm his death, there was no trace of his energy in Camp Minecraft. However, there was no proof of his death either, but that's just wishful thinking. The sounds I'm hearing must just be due to sleep deprivation, so I better go to sleep now. Right before I closed my eyes, I made a wish that if I were to hear the cello strings a third time, that I would be able to play with him my green violin.

As my mind drifted away into a fairytale land, I envisioned myself playing my violin with his cello. We were creating this beautiful, yet sad melody. I recognized it as a section from the final movement of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, one of my favorite pieces. Everyone, especially Biffle, fell to their knees and begged for mercy. But they did not stand a chance against our combined powers, for the cello-violin duo is too great for them. When I woke up the next morning, we decided to have a camp meeting. I made the decision to not mention the noise at the meeting as I feared that it would make me sound crazy.

"Are you ok?" Clyde whispered to me.

"Yeah, " I whispered back, shaking myself out of my thoughts.

Unfortunately, I couldn't focus on the rest of what Clyde was telling me. I probably should have been paying attention since he claimed it was vital to remember, but all I could think about was the cello I heard last night.

"Sigils?"

"W-what?" I stuttered out.

"Are you ok?" the voice asked. I glanced up to see that it was Zud talking to me. His sparkling sky-blue eyes looked at me with concern. I nodded, not trusting myself to speak. His gaze lingered on me for a couple seconds before he shrugged & turned back to Clyde, who was speaking to the other campers.

Timeskip

I was out exploring when I came across a bamboo forest.

"Hello Sigils!"

'What the hell,' I thought as i gazed upon a demonic-looking Henwy…
