Duo Halfbreeds
Chapter Seven: From Not Around
The sound of all the cells opening, echoed in the area. It was now morning and Gohan awoke, still hungry and thirsty as ever. As he walked out of his cell, again he was greeted by Keylo. Gohan quickly cowered, and tried to run towards his cell but Keylo grabbed him by the back of his armor.
"P-Please don't hurt me!" Gohan begged, his eyes wide with trepidation.
A wicked chuckle escaped Keylo's lips, shrouding the atmosphere with malevolence. "I wasn't going to," He replied with a deceptive calmness, a thin smile playing on his lips. "I'm just here to give you your daily tasks for the day. Complete these chores and you'll get some water. Those are the same rules everyone goes by." He placed Gohan back on the ground, the darkness in his gaze unwavering.
Confusion etched across Gohan's young face as he turned to Keylo, tilting his head slightly. "Why?"
Keylo's face turned impassive. "Because our Leader said so and I said so." He replied. "So do it and you don't get hurt, get it?" The air seemed to tighten around Gohan, the weight of compliance pressing down on him. He froze, his throat dry, swallowing hard before nodding in acquiescence.
"Good. Now follow me and I will take you to your first chore." He followed Keylo out of the inner cells and to the yard. Keylo took Gohan over to a large metal bucket that was in the center over the yard. Next to it was a large metal tub full of dirty dishes, and a table. This was the same area where people were in line yesterday evening.
"See this bucket?" Keylo pointed to it. Gohan nodded in response. "I want you to clean it." He pointed to the tub. "And all of the dishes in here as well. I want it spotless!"
"What am I supposed to clean it with?" Gohan asked. "I don't have any soap or cleaning brushes."
Keylo laughed. "That's a good one. Soap and cleaning brushes!"
Gohan tilted his head. "I don't get it. Is there no soap and cleaning brushes?"
Keylo shook his head. "No, there is! You just need to buy them."
Gohan's mouth hung open. "B-Buy them? I don't have any money?" He replied. "And how am I gonna clean them if I don't have soap or a cleaning brush?"
Keylo shrugged. "Not my problem, kid. Have fun!" He smirked as he walked away. "One hour!" He lifted his index finger without turning.
Gohan stood before the bucket and the heap of dishes, a mixture of relunctance and despair enveloping his heart. "I can't get this cleaned…" He picked up one of the dishes and looked at it. It was full of smudge and grease, it disgusted Gohan out, so he placed it back down, shaking his hand. "Where am I gonna get some water?"
"From that there faucet over there, yea!" A voice said. Gohan shook a bit from being startled, he tilted his gaze towards the right and noticed someone a couple feet taller than he was. He was covered in head to toe, greyish-brown fur, his tail was fluffy and had rings of black, and he had a mask of black-colored fur around his eyes.
His hands were a bit small with five claws each hand, and five claws on his feet as well. He was pointing to about sixty feet towards the southwest, up against the walls of the prison. "Dunno what yer gunna do bout getting the water over here though." He continued.
Gohan looked at the faucet then looked at his metal tub. If only he could push this, but it was far too heavy for him.
"Thank you, Sir." Gohan said. "Do you know where I can find some soap?"
The man snickered. "Soap? The only way to get some soap is by doin some bartering with some of the other cellies."
Gohan frowned. "I have nothing to give though?"
"That's not true, everyone has something to give." He answered. "Tell ya what, I'll do this favor once for ya, but you'll owe me a favor as well."
Gohan tilted his head. "W-What do you want me to do?"
The man rubbed his chin, his gaze moving up, taking a moment to think, raising an index finger as something came to mind. "You can start by not stuttering, and for now I'll hold on to tha favor." He moved his head back to face Gohan. "Now stay right here and I'll get you sum of dem supplies ya need."
Gohan swallowed hard as he left. He hoped he didn't do something he'll regret, so far when anyone has tried to help him, it's been out of their own benefits or malicious use. After a few minutes the man returned, with a small bottle of soap and a brush.
"I got yer supplies for ya." The man smiled as he put them in the tub. "Remember to keep these near you and not leave them in this here tub, as of now they are yours. And on the house!" He started to push the tub. "I'll go ahead and help you move this closer to the faucet so you can fill up."
Gohan followed him as he pushed the tub towards the faucet. The man turned the faucet and filled the tub with water, while it filled he brought over the metal bucket as well.
"I don't get it. How come you're helping me?" Gohan wondered.
"It's better around here that you be on everyone's good side." The man pointed out. "The more connections you make, the longer you'll survive. Plus you do owe me a favor down the line."
Gohan looked confused. "What do you mean?"
The man crossed his arms. "Well making enemies here is never a good thing." He explained. "I mean you piss somebody off, they'll do worse than kill ya. They'll come over and make sure that your night is a rough one. It ain't no joke either."
Gohan tilted his head. "Then why help me?" He asked. "Those other guys don't seem to like me, if you help me, won't they hurt you?"
The man shrugged. "I don't think so. Any time there's been a new fish, I've always come and helped out." He answered. "And I still seem to be on decent terms with them, I mean they ain't bully me around for the most part."
"Oh.." Gohan replied. He turned back to the tub for a second then back to the Man who started to walk off. "What's your name, mister?"
"My name?" He said. Gohan nodded in response. "Raton Laveur, but uh most people just call me Raton."
As he walked away, Gohan started washing the dishes, filling it with soap and stopping the faucet once it reached a certain depth level. It was difficult as Gohan had to lean over the tub due to its bigger size. With each dish he would scrub it really hard and rinse it off with the faucet.
It would only get so clean as the faucet's water wasn't exactly the cleanest. However, it quickly became clear he had nowhere to put the dishes while they dried. He scratched the side of his head as he thought about a place to put them, looking around the area, til his eyes met the metal bucket.
"I can clean the bucket then put the dishes in the bucket!" Gohan thought, his face lit up. He moved behind the metal bucket and tried to lean it against the tub. The metal bucket was five feet tall and three feet in diameter, so it proved to be rather difficult.
Gohan was determined to get it done as heavy as it was, it finally fell over and leaned against the tub, the end of it barely under the faucet. Gohan walked around to the faucet and turned the handle. The sound of rushing water could be quickly heard, a few seconds later water spilled out.
With the handle turned, a mellifluous rush of water enveloped the surroundings. The bucket began to fill up with water, providing a perfect spot for the dishes to rest and dry. However, as it filled, a realization struck Gohan. "Wait...how am I going to lift it back up once it's full?" he pondered.
As the bucket brimmed with water, the situation took an unforeseen turn, inducing a moment of panic within Gohan. He attempted to hoist the bucket, but its weight resisted any movement. "Come on!" he grunted, straining to lift it, but the bucket remained steadfast, unmoved by his efforts.
Instead the bottom of the bucket slid an inch and before Gohan knew it, it was going down fast! Gohan's eyes went wide as he whipped around and leaped, dropping against the ground eight feet away. The bucket fell and spilled all over the place and knocked down the tub.
Several dishes were broken and Gohan knew he was gonna get hit for that. He didn't know what to do and started to panic. As seconds passed and Gohan still couldn't come up with any ideas, he dropped to his knees, bawling his eyes out.
"W-What am I-I g-going to do!? I don't wanna get hit!" He thought. "I want my Daddy! And Mommy! I wanna go home!"
"Stop. Warriors do not cry nor give up. They persevere and try harder."
Gohan's hands stilled, and he froze in place. The sound of an unfamiliar voice echoed through the air, causing him to whip around, searching for its source. Yet, to his bewilderment, there was no one in sight. Puzzled, he rubbed his eyes, as if hoping his eyes just needed some clearing and still saw no one.
"What was that? I…I thought I heard something?" Gohan's expression became more confused when he noticed the tub and the bucket standing up. "W-What? How?" He blinked a couple of times and rubbed his eyes again to assure what he was seeing was real. Gohan ran up to it and somehow the bucket was cleaned spotless.
Gohan moved closer to examine it, and on the other side of the bucket was a small stool, one that gave enough height for Gohan to reach over the tub as well as placing dishes in the bucket. He couldn't wrap his head around it but decided to push it off for now.
He went back to cleaning the dishes, rinsing them off with the faucet and placing them in the bucket to dry. However, an hour passed and he still wasn't done as there were many dishes. When Keylo returned, he gave a look of disappointment.
"What did I tell you kid?" Keylo said, faking a sigh. "I told you, one hour, all of these dishes! spotless!"
Gohan swallowed. "I-I-I'm almost d-done! I swear I only got a little bit left."
Keylo scoffed. "I said ONE hour, ALL OF IT DONE!" He snarled. "And since you couldn't accomplish that, it's punishment time!"
"B-But that's not fair!" Gohan whined. "One hour isn't en-"
Keylo slammed his fist into Gohan's gut causing Gohan to double over and fall off the stool into the ground. "I don't wanna hear your disgusting whining." Keylo replied. "If you can't do a task within the time required, you get punished. No exceptions."
He leaned in closer to Gohan who was now rolled on his side. "Got that?" He said. Gohan was hesitant to respond, his stomach in large amounts of pain. "GOT THAT?!" Gohan barely made a nod out as he clenched his gut. "Good." Keylo straightened his posture and smirked. "Finish those dishes up. I'll be back soon for your next task."
Keylo walked away, leaving Gohan on the ground, and quickly met up with Van about forty feet to the east of the prison.
"You don't think that's a little harsh, Keylo?" Van asked. "I mean he's just a kid."
Keylo raised a brow. "Don't tell me you're goin soft on me now, Van."
Van shook his head. "Of course not, just saying, can only expect so much out of him." He pointed out.
Keylo adjusted his posture and turned to look at Gohan from the distance. "Feh. Changes nothing." He looked back at Van. "Kid or not, he's a new fish and needs to know his place now before later." Van nodded in agreement.
Later that evening…
After a long and hard day of doing the tasks assigned by Keylo for him, Gohan headed back for his cell. He knew once those doors shut, he could rest peacefully and feel protected but no matter how protected he felt, there was still this emptiness and fright.
He yearned so much to be home, yearned so much to be anywhere but here honestly. Gohan got up on his bed, sitting down first, as he was too cautious to get comfortable yet. Once the cell doors closed he laid down, rested his head on literally the worst pillow, and sobbed quietly as he fell asleep.
He started to dream of home, dream of his Mom, of his brother, of his father, and even grandfather.
((Dream..))
"Gohan, Goten, Goku!" Chichi shouted from the dining room. On the table were three lunchboxes, most likely filled with food, and Chichi was holding two raincoats in her hands. Goku arrived quickly first, with his two kids behind him. Chichi handed Goku the raincoats. "Here, make sure to take these, I don't want you to go out there then it starts to rain and they get cold."
"Oh Chichi, relax!" Goku chuckled. He walked to the door and opened it. "Look! Not a cloud in sight!"
Chichi made a firm mom stare as she crossed her arms. "I want you to take them anyways, you can never be too safe."
Goku nodded. "Alright, Chichi." He walked to the table and grabbed the three lunchboxes. "Let's go boys! It's camping time!"
Both Gohan and Goten gave gleeful cheers. Goten was the first out the door, Gohan came right after, and Goku was last as he closed the door behind them.
"Slow down, boys!" Goku noticed they were already forty feet away. The two quickly came back as Goku moved forward. "You guys need to stay by my side and we're meeting your Grandpa at the lake."
"Grandpa Ox is gonna be there too?" Gohan asked.
Goku nodded. "Yeup, of course. We're gonna do some fishing, some hiking, and see some animals." He smiled.
"Cool! I wanna see a wolverine!" Goten grinned.
Gohan turned his head to Goten. "There's no wolverines in this forest, Goten! They all live up north!" He pointed out.
Goten's grin disappeared. "Oh..well then I wanna see some bears!"
Goku chuckled. "Maybe. Just remember to stay by me and not get close, alright?"
Both of them nodded. "Right!" They said simultaneously.
About twenty minutes later, they arrived up higher in the mountains, at a crystal clear lake. Through a few trees and bushes, they could see their grandfather, sitting, waiting, for his pole to go off. He turned to face them as he heard them come through.
"Oh! Goku! Gohan, Goten! Over here!" Ox-King shouted. The two boys ran quickly up to their grandfather with wide smiles.
"Grandpa Ox! Are we gonna catch some big fish today?!" Gohan asked.
"Yeah! Big Fish!" Goten added.
Ox-King smiled and nodded. "Of course! I've been at this lake for a while and I've got some new stuff to try." Gohan and Goten both raised their hands and cheered happily. Goku placed the lunchboxes, the raincoats, and his large backpack down. "Hey Goku. What's with all that? Didn't think ya would pack so much."
Goku rubbed his nose and laughed. "It was Chichi." He answered. "She wanted us to be safe."
Ox-King gave a hearty laugh. "That's my Chichi." He said. "Is this the first time you've been able to take them out?"
Goku nodded as he sat down next to Ox-King. "Yea, Chichi says they're old enough now, so we're gonna probably go every other weekend." He whipped his head when he heard a loud splash. "Guys, don't throw rocks into the water, you're gonna scare the fish."
"Sorry, Dad!" Gohan shouted.
"Yeah, Sorry!" Goten added.
The two moved away from the lake and moved closer back to the campsite. "Hey why don't you boys, get some of the stuff, unpacked okay? Bring out the tent and the sleeping bags." Goku said.
They nodded. "Okay!" Gohan replied. Both of them walked over to the backpack and unzipped a section of it, pulling out the rolled up sleeping bags, and the two unbuilt tents. "I can't wait! We're gonna catch so much big fish!"
"And tell scary ghost stories at the campfire at night!" Goten added.
Gohan turned to look at Goten. "What? Noooo! I don't like scary ghost stories!"
Goten made an angry smirk. "But scary ghost stories are fun!" He said.
Gohan shook his head and crossed his arms. "No. They're. Not!" He frowned angrily.
Goten nodded his head. "Yes they are! Yes they are! Yes they are!"
Gohan shook his head again. "Nooo they're not! They're scary and boring!"
Goten pointed in the opposite direction. "Then why is there a ghost behind you!"
Gohan made an impassive look. "There's no Ghost behind me, I'm not falling for it." He replied.
Goten shrugged. "Fine, I'll just let the Ghost eat you then." He said.
Gohan rolled his eyes. "Ghosts don't eat people that's zombies."
"Oh yeah! Then why is the Ghost trying to eat you right now!" Goten said.
Gohan didn't know why but he reacted despite knowing Goten was tricking him, and turned to look behind him. At the same time, Goten got up, grabbed a cold, wet stick and made it touch Gohan's bare back.
"Aaagh!" Gohan jumped up and turned, causing Goten to laugh. "That's not funny you jerk!"
"Yes it is!" Goten stuck his tongue out which caused Gohan to stick his tongue out back.
As the day went on, the camp was set up, Gohan's pole started to go off. "Get it, Gohan! He's going for the bite!" Goku shouted. Gohan was quick to react, he grabbed his pole off the rod and started reeling, the next thing he knew it got stronger and stronger. It pulled him into the water and dragged him around, Gohan screamed for help but help never came.
The pole dragged him deep in the water where eventually Gohan let go, started to drown, when he could see Keylo, Van, and Khang, as well as other various people from the prison laughing at him. His eyes filled with fright as he tried to gasp for air.
((Dream End))
Gohan woke up in a shock, quickly noticing Keylo and Van in front of him, with an empty water cup. His face felt wet and the two were laughing at him.
"Rise and Shine, kid!" Keylo chuckled. "It's time for chores! And today I expect a better job!"
Gohan frowned. "I haven't had any food for days and barely have had any water, and you still want me to do all this work?" He said.
Keylo shook his head. "Tisk tisk! When I speak or command you to do something, you do not speak?" He leaned in and got closer. "Got that?" Gohan swallowed hard and nodded in response "Good." Keylo straightened his posture and motioned Gohan to follow them.
Gohan followed Keylo outside of the inner cells and up a flight of stairs nearby. They walked to another cell that really didn't look like a cell at all. It was way too nice to be a cell, with an actual television nearby, a more private bathroom and a good balcony view.
They took a right towards the bathroom and Keylo opened the door. "I want you to clean it all, spotless, one hour." The bathroom was large, it had a full shower, full tub, a new looking toilet, a sink, and several shelves. "Don't touch anything, don't look at anything, just clean."
Gohan nodded. "Wait! I forgot my cleaning brush and soap."
"Not my problem." Keylo said.
"B-But I can't clean without it." Gohan whined.
Keylo sighed and rolled his eyes. "Fine but it counts on your hour." He replied. "Go get it."
Gohan nodded and ran off. He walked quickly down the flight of stairs, heading to his cell room, where he hid a bottle of soap and a cleaning brush. Without wanting to spare any more time, he ran back up the ladder but was stopped by a guard.
"You." The guard said.
Gohan looked confused, whipping his head around as he checked for others nearby. "M-Me?"
The guard nodded. "Yes. Come. Now."
"B-But wh-" Gohan was yanked by the guard from a sudden generation of ki cuffs around his wrists. He fell forward a bit but stopped himself and started following the guard. "Where are we going? I didn't do anything wrong."
"It's time for you to earn your keep." The guard answered. He took Gohan to the smaller building, attached to the yard.
"Earn my keep? What do you mean?" Gohan asked.
The guard turned his head. "Stop asking questions, you're going to fight."
Gohan's eyes went wide. "W-What!? F-F-Fight?! I can't fight!" He whined. The guard ignored him and continued to walk. Gohan tried to turn and run away. "N-No! Please! I'll die! I don't wanna d-" He got yanked by the guard who caught him by the collar of his armor.
"Shut up. You're going to fight. Period." The guard snarled.
Gohan swallowed and nodded in response. He followed the guard as they took a left inside the building and went to a door at the far end of the building. As they opened the door, they followed a path, blocked by strong fence wiring and solid stone walls.
At the end was some kind of train-like vehicle. The guard motioned for Gohan to get in first and the guard walked in after. Gohan looked around the train and there were no seats but there were poles along the train.
The guard gestured for Gohan to grab the pole. Gohan was hesitant but he grabbed it anyways, in hopes of it wouldn't do anything, luckily for him all it was that, a pole. As the train ramped up speed, Gohan slipped a bit but managed to keep his hands firmly on the pole.
Within several short minutes, the train stopped, miles upon miles away from the prison. The guard gestured for Gohan to follow as they exited the train, entering a similar area from when they entered the train previously.
Fence-styled walls were on each side of them with wiring atop but one difference stood clear and that was the massive colosseum that stood in front of both of them. The path from where they were led all the way to it.
Loud cheering could be heard as it echoed for miles, shockwaves could be felt, and other various noises such as bangs and crumbling. A tremble rushed in Gohan's path, with powerful winds roaring, as well as dust and dirt kicking up, causing Gohan to crash into the right fence wall.
The guard turned his head around to see Gohan having fallen to the ground. "Quit playing games." He said. Gohan got up and moved, he opened his mouth to protest but decided not to, assuming the guard wouldn't listen to what he would say anyways.
As they continued walking down the path, they eventually reached a strong metal door surrounded by metal walls. The guard pushed the door open and motioned for Gohan to follow him inside. They walked down a dark corridor for about forty yards before seeing light.
When Gohan saw the light, there was a large gate made with thick metal bars that protruded upwards. "W-Where are we?" He asked, turning to the Guard.
The guard moved his gaze to Gohan and raised a brow. "Where do you think? The colosseum." He answered. "Have fun getting killed, brat." As the gate lowered itself and Gohan quickly panicked faster, the guard pushed Gohan past the gate.
It swiftly shut as Gohan tried to walk back towards it. "W-Wait!" Gohan shouted. The guard walked into the shadows of the room and disappeared from Gohan's sight. Gohan whipped his head around then turned completely around, and saw the rest of his surroundings.
This arena went on for MILES and Gohan couldn't even see his opponent. He could however see the thousands in the auditorium. All giving excited cheers as they raised their hands, waiting for more, the difference in their cheers however was the pure and raw bloodlust in their eyes.
On the other end was his opponent, a dark-skinned reptilian that resembled that of an iguana. He donned a typical gladiator styled outfit and had a row of spikes that followed along from his back all the way to his tail.
The announcer of the arena spoke into his microphone, his voice echoing for the miles that this colosseum was. "I hope you folks are ready! Today we have a newcomer and a returning favorite!" He shouted. "In the east wing, we have Vit! A Lacerta from further west of the galaxy in the system of Migale!"
The crowd gave heavier cheers as they saw him on the various screens that were built high atop the place for all to see. Then the image flipped to a young frightened child and the audience cheers stopped, with looks of confusion and skepticism.
"And in the west wing, we have our newcomer! A brat by the name of Gohan who we've been told has promising potential!" The announcer continued. "Today we'll find out if that potential will show itself!" He turned around and hit a massive gong behind him, signaling the start of the battle.
Vit formed a smirk on his face as he darted to Gohan. "So this is what I'm supposed to fight? A Child?" He rolled his eyes. "This is too easy! What the hell was the Roster Manager thinking?"
Gohan gulped. "P-Please sir, I-I don't wanna fight." He begged. "I don't even know how!"
Vit raised a brow. "What? You don't know how to fight?!" He snarled. "Then what the hell are you even doing here?" He looked towards the announcer's spot. It was a place that was above the auditorium, allowing him first row seating. "How the hell am I supposed to fight something that can't even fight."
"It's your fight, figure it out." The announcer replied.
Vit sighed angrily and turned back. "Well I ain't ruining my chances of freedom, so I'll give you a small chance but other than that you will die if you don't fight back." He said, moving in closer.
"B-But I c-can't fight!" Gohan pleaded. He was ignored, Vit rushed forward and slammed his knee into Gohan's gut causing him to crash against the nearby wall. A few seconds after colliding into the wall, Gohan fell to the ground.
Vit walked over to Gohan and kicked him up. "Get up! Fight me brat!"
Gohan tried to push himself to his knees but failed. "I-..I can't!" He cried.
Vit growled through his teeth as he threw a fist at Gohan's cheek, causing Gohan to be sent for hundreds of yards before bouncing against the ground and sliding as he slowed down. As Gohan's consciousness quickly faded, it woke him back up as soon as he touched the ground, wincing in pain when he tried to move.
Vit soon made his way back to Gohan and sighed. "This isn't even fun." He said. "I could try to lower my power to less than a percent and you'd still be unable to run from me."
Gohan moved to his knees. "Y-You're not gonna kill me?"
Vit turned around and sighed. "Nah. I'll just find your home planet and kill your family instead. It'll be more fun." He smirked.
Gohan's eyes went wide. "W-What?!"
Vit turned his head. "Don't make me repeat myself! I said I'll kill your family instead! Surely they'll have more of a fight than you!" He snarled.
"P-Please! Don't kill my family! I-I'll fight you." Gohan got up to his feet and ran towards Vit. "Please…I'll f-fight you! Don't kill my family!"
Vit laughed. "Pfft I don't wanna fight something as weak as you." He turned to look at Gohan. "You're nothing but a helpless brat who just got unlucky." He moved his head back and started walking away. "I'll destroy your homeplanet while I'm at it too."
Gohan squeezed his eyes as he swallowed hard. "P-Please!" He cried. "Don't kill my family! Don't destroy my homeplanet!" His cries were ignored by Vit. Again Gohan got up and walked to him, trying to stop him but Vit slammed his foot against Gohan, causing Gohan to crash into a nearby wall.
Vit growled viciously. "You damn pest!" He darted to Gohan and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. "You don't get it do you? I suffer if I don't kill you! I can't kill you because you won't fight back! So I'll kill your family whether you like it or not!"
He slammed a fist into Gohan's right cheek. "P-Pleeeaasee.." Gohan uttered weakly.
Vit smirked angrily. "You know what, forget it, I think I will kill you." He said. "A worthless, disgusting piece of flesh like you doesn't deserve to live." He threw another fist into Gohan's gut, causing Gohan to cough a mixture of saliva and blood, then wheeze heavily. Vit threw Gohan to the ground about thirty feet away, approaching him slowly shortly after.
Vit leaned in close to Gohan. "Do you know what I hate the most about species like you?" He asked. "It's not the vile soft flesh or the cowardice. It's that disgusting empathy, that disgusting love you have for another." He grabbed Gohan by the neck and squeezed it tightly as he shoved Gohan high against a different wall. "That weakness that you think people actually care or have any compassion towards you"
He pulled Gohan closer to him as Gohan tried to struggle from his grasp. "But if they did…don't you think they would've come and found you by now?" He said, his grip slightly loosening. "Obviously not, you wouldn't be here otherwise."
Tears spilled from Gohan's eyes as he could feel his neck slowly crushing and his airways locking. Soon his lungs felt like they were going to explode and became extremely sharp in pain. Gohan didn't want to die, he couldn't die, but he also knew that no matter what he did there was no way of winning this.
He didn't know how to fight, didn't know anything about this guy or anything else around him. He wished that someone could come save him, someone could come rescue him and bring him home, but that was the same wishful thinking from earlier.
Vit released his grip before Gohan passed out, letting Gohan drop to the ground. "You're pathetic." Vit said. "Once I'm done with you, I'm going after your homeplanet next." Gohan couldn't open his mouth to protest, the intense pain in his throat and neck begged for him to fall unconscious. "A pitiful excuse of a child like you? Is only deserving of pain and so is his own father."
"N-No! I can't let him hurt, Daddy!" Gohan thought. He tightened his eyes, crying for help. "S-Somebody! Please help!" Obviously, no help had come, and as Vit slowly moved closer Gohan started to panic faster and faster. He couldn't move, he couldn't scream or cry, nothing would work. When his only thoughts could trace to the horrific idea of his own family, his own planet being destroyed.
Something started to change in Gohan's demeanor as he quickly snapped. His aura raged angrily as he stood up. "D-Don't" He uttered weakly.
Vit raised a brow. "W-What?"
Gohan was hesitant for a second but then he snapped, his face forming an angry smirk. "I said!" His aura exploded violently as his hand struck Vit's neck, grabbing it tightly and darting against a wall. "DON'T TOUCH MY FAMILY!" His face filled with rage, his eyes resembled something wildly and fiercely.
Vit coughed blood as a powerful fist struck his gut several times in a matter of a split second. Gohan slammed a fist against Vit's jaw, sending Vit towards the sky. Gohan chased after Vit, reappearing behind him, giving a double ax-handle to Vit's back, sending Vit colliding into the ground.
Before Vit could stand again, Gohan dropped to the ground and ran on all fours as he slashed Vit's chest, causing Vit to scream in agony, then slammed a fist into his ribcage sending Vit several feet through the walls.
When the dust and smoke settled, Gohan quickly came to his senses. He looked around confused as intense cheers from the audience were echoing and multiple guards were coming into the area, a few with a stretcher.
"W-What's going on?" Gohan asked.
One guard gave a confused look. "You don't remember?" He said. Gohan shook his head in response. The guard pointed to the hole. "You gave that guy quite the beating."
Gohan's eyes went wide. "I..I did that?"
The guard nodded in response as he helped pick up Vit and left with the rest out of the arena. Gohan got closer to the hole in the wall and examined it. He couldn't believe how deep it was nor that he was the one who did it.
A few seconds later as Gohan turned from the hole, a guard came from the side to escort Gohan back. "Let's go runt." He said.
Gohan moved his head to the guard and made another confused look. "To where?"
"Back to your prison cell." The guard answered. He generated energy cuffs on Gohan as he pulled him forward. Gohan followed the guard, still somewhat stunned, as he tried to think about why he couldn't remember what happened.
However, something else dawned on him right after. "Oh no! I never finished cleaning the bathroom! That guy is gonna kill me!" Gohan swallowed hard.
