My pov
I can't believe that my best friend likes the man who I have feeling for . Even I don't know whether I love him or not but I still don't understand why. I run out of the room crying.
I run so fast and I don't know where I am going. I run into a dark room. I sit on the floor. Suddenly a light opens and I lift my head.
"Sir?" I am shocked
I see Alan Davis is sitting in front of his office table. He is resting.
"Are you crying?" Alan Davis helps me up.
"I am okay." I shake my head
I don't want anyone to see me crying. Crying is a sense of cowardice.
"With me it's okay ， however you can never cry in front of other people" Alan let me sits down and pours me a cup of warm water.
"Thank you Alan." I take the cup and drink it.
"Tell me what's wrong? Are you fighting with your friend?" Alan smiles at me
Why is he so warm? I think all the leader or lieutenant of dauntless are very cold blooded
"I have a question. May I ask?" I ask him
"Sure you can ask." Alan nods at me
"If your best friend love the girl who you also love， will you give up because you don't want to lose the friend or you will not give up." I say in a lower voice.
He looks at me for a long time. It is so stressful for me
"Depending on how much I love the girl. If I really love her， then fuck my friend." Alan says in a harsh voice."did anyone threaten you."
"No it is just my curiosity. Thanks Alan." I put my head on his shoulder
It is so warm with him. He doesn't push me away. He let me stay there as long as I want.
"If anyone bullied you， come tell me . I don't like people bullying my initiates." Alan clinches his teeth
"So any of us get bullied， then you will help them?" I sit straight up.
"You are some how special for me but I don't know why." Alan kisses my forehead
I am shocked. Am I special for him? Maybe he is right. I don't need to care who like him beside him. I kiss his lips and then run out of his office
"Delia , you have to pay for this."
He is shouting. I don't care. However I feel happy because I am special for him. Maybe this special will turn into love one day. I get back in my dorm and Abby is unhappy
Alan Davis pov
I still is thinking about the taste of her lips. She is sweet like strawberry . However why she asked me that question? Is someone told her that they like me ?
I have to check on her. I have a feeling that she will be in dangerous. I sneak out of office and walk toward the dorm. I guess that I am right. I saw Abby slaps on her face.
"Stop it!" I run toward them and push Abby away from her." Don't lay a hand on her."
"Why Alan? I like you so much."Abby screams
"I will never like you . I have someone who I like already." I smirk at her.
Delia grabs my shirt. I turn around and face her
"Yes Delia?" I smile at her
"It's okay. Abby is just sad. I understand her. Alan it is okay." She leans her head on my chest"if that girl sees that you are protecting me, she will misunderstand it."
"You don't know who am I talking about?" I lean into her ear." Maybe I should prove it."
Then I hear footstep from above us , hana comes down
"Hana." I nod at her
"What's wrong? I hear a big slap sound." Hana looks at Delia." God who hurt you?"
"Abby." I say coldly.
Hana looks at Abby. Her eyes are on fire. She takes out her hand. She wants to slap her but Delia grabs her hand
"No ms pedrad . It is okay . Please don't do it." Delia cries." It's my fault."
"Why it is your fault?" Hana frowns
"Because I fall in love with the man she also loves." Delia says
She loves me ? I look at hana. Hana sighs
"It is her fault. It is depending on that man's choice." Hana shrugs
I wrap Delia in my arms. She is shocked .
"Alan no please." She shakes her head.
"You told me the answer already. You love me and I am the same." I kiss her forehead." Since the first I met you ."
"Alan you have to hide it now." Hana says."don't let anyone see it."
Hana pulls us apart. She helps her to stand.
"Delia come to my room. I will give you an ice pack." Hana smiles at her." Alan you should go to sleep. Tomorrow is the training."
"Yes madam." I say
Hana leads Delia away. I look at Abby. Abby is staring at me
"You really love her." Abby says calmly." She is my best friends"
My pov
Hana brings me into her apartment. A man comes downstair
"Hana?" The man just wakes up ." Who is it."
"This is Delia . One of the transfer initiates. She was hit by Abby in her face." Hana sighs ." This is my husband Nathan."
"Hi mr pedrad. Nice to see you." I say weakly.
Nathan gives me a cup of warm liquid . Hana stands up and walks toward the fridge
"How are you doing now so far?"nathan sits beside me
"I am good so far." I sit away from him
"Are you afraid of my husband?" Hana sits down beside me and gives me the ice pack
I shake my head but I know that I am lying. I put the ice pack on my face
"Delia, you seem fine with Alan." Hana giggles
"It's because he saved me when I was still in abnegation. He pretended that he was a soldier and he was nice." I lower my head
"So why Abby slapped her?" Nathan frowns
I don't say a word. Hana grabs my hand and says
"Abby also likes Alan but alan seems to like her. She is jealous."hana brushes my hair away from my face
"The problem is on alan. He is too obvious . I have to go talk to him." Nathan stands up." You can stay in our guest room for a night. Zeke and Uriah have special permission to stay with us so maybe we can also ask a special permission for you from max."
Nathan leaves the room and Hana hugs me .
"Delia , you have to know that Alan likes you which is not his fault. However he doesn't know how to hide it before you are safe so it is his fault." Hana says." However it is his first time so he is too excited ."
"Yeah I know that it is his first time but I also show it off too much. I like him too much that I worry that he can't see me." I clinch my fist." I am sorry hana ."
Hana brings me upstair to the room. It is not big but not small too. She cleans the bed sheet for me .
"Here you will stay for a night . We will talk to max about it." Hana smiles." Don't worry."
"Thank you hana." I sit down on the bed.
"Tomorrow the training will be at 8 ." Hana closes the light." Good night."
I sneak into the bed sheet. It is warm . Now it is fall so I feel comfortable in the bed.
"Good night." I say
I close my eyes and drift into sleep.
Alan Davis pov
I am standing above the chasm. Hana is taking care of Delia. I don't need to worry about it. However I know most of people already find out that I was flirting with her so I need to do something.
"Alan." Someone is calling me
I turn around and I see Nathan is standing beside me . He is the husband of hana and also was her instructor as well.
"I heard about Abby and Delia from my wife hana ." Nathan folds his arm
"I know that is my fault." I inhale and exhale heavily.
"I know that it is your fault and also her fault . You two are so hurried." Nathan shakes his head." So now what is the solution."
Then both of us see max is coming. He isn't sleeping too.
"The only way is Alan you have to leave the compound. I will assign that you are working at fence for a year or a period of time before she becomes member of dauntless . Then you can come back"max leans against the wall
"That's a great idea . However max we worry about Delia's safety. You give permission for Zeke and Uriah to stay with us , then can Delia stay with me and hana?" Nathan asks
That is a great solution , otherwise I will be worried.
"That's fine as long as you don't help her to cheat" max nods at me." I wander why Abby likes you and Amar. She was flirting with Amar already ."
"Her mother is a third person so no wander what kind of girl she is." Nathan raises his eye brows
"Yeah kind of . Good night both of you." Max waves his hand at us
I and Nathan walk toward his room. Before I leave that I want to see my Delia one more time
"I want to see her one more time. Tomorrow I will go to the fence." I cry
"Yeah sure , don't cry Alan. What's wrong? She changes you so much." Nathan grabs my shoulder
We get into their house and I sneak upstair to Delia's room. Delia is sleep .
I kiss her forehead . She nudges me with her head but doesn't wake up.
"I love you Delia but I have to go." I say." I am protecting you."
"Alan you should go."
I leave the house with Nathan. Nathan is my good colleague
"Thank you Nathan." I pat on his back
"We will take care of everything and you should protect yourself too." Nathan hugs me ." I will miss you."
