Mr. Aldrich dropped Enos and the boys off at Tri-County emergency, and Luke spared no time hauling his cousin inside.

Meanwhile, outside of Hazzard...

"So when do we leave for Mexico?" Rose asked.

"Right now!" Arite shouted.

"You promised we were gonna get married! When are we gonna get married?" She pleaded.

"As soon as we can. We'll have the ceremony once we get settled in in Mexico, alright?"

"Fine, but this is the last time you'll put it off." She avowed.

"Everything's to quiet..." Artie turned on the radio.

"...just escaped jail in a small southern town called Hazzard. Atlanta police are starting a full scale manhunt for Arite D-" Artie snapped the radio off.

"Mexico, here we come." Artie floored it.

"Wait, this is a cop car remember?" Rose exclaimed.

"Oh, damn! We can ditch this and hot wire something in Atlanta." Artie decided.

Back in Hazzard, Flash and Ratzy were playing in the park, while Rosco read a book to Corey. Rosco loved 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and he'd finally found someone else who liked it, too.

Lulu and Pricilla were chewing the fat about where Pricilla might want to live.

"I just don't think I could go back to the house that I lived in with him..." She trailed off.

"Oh, honey..." Lulu gave her a quick hug.

"When we were first married, he was so kind and loving. I don't understand how I could've been fooled into believing him..." She started to cry.

"It's over now, sweetie..." Lulu comforted.

"I fell in love with a murderer!" She sobbed.

"Now, now, Pricilla, you didn't know..." Lulu rubbed her back.

"And poor Corey, I have no way of providing for him!"

"Don't you worry, honey, folks 'round her are right neighborly. We'll all help ya until you're back on your feet." Lulu promised.

"Oh, thank you, Lulu..."

"Don't you worry about a thing." Lulu patted her back.

Meanwhile, Rosco and little Corey had just finished the book.

"You reckon I could be a cop when I grow up?" Corey asked.

"It takes a lot of training, you know. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck!" Rosco giggled.

"You think I could do it?" Corey asked hopefully.

"If you grow up to be as smart and efficient as I am, I reckon you could!" Rosco giggled proudly. He wasn't meaning to be arrogant, he was just Rosco.

"I can't stand this anymore, I'm going fer a walk." Luke marched outside after waiting for an hour and a half.

"Why don't they say something?" Cooter questioned as he paced.

"They'll let us know as soon as they can." Jesse assured them all.

"I'm gonna go outside too." Daisy started off.

"Now, Daisy. I think we'd best let Luke be alone fer a spell." Jesse gently grabbed her arm.

"I reckon you're right." She agreed.

Just then, Emery Potter came running in.

"Enos? Boss Hogg says you've gotta come back on patrol. You can use the spare patrol car." Emery told him.

"Do I really gotta?" Enos wanted to stay until Bo was alright.

"Yes, Enos, come on!" Emery ran back outside to wait in the car for Enos.

"Y'all let me know as soon as they say anything, okay?" Enos requested as he reluctantly left.

"Sure, thing Enos." Jesse patted his shoulder.

Outside, Luke was pacing around the perimeter of the building, kicking rocks and gritting his teeth.

He's gonna die, he's gonna die, he's gonna die... He couldn't stop thinking of the worst.

Luke sat down on the ground and buried his face in his hands. After he'd been sitting for a while, he felt a hand on his shoulder.

He looked up at Cooter. "Bo's pinin' fer ya."

"He's okay?" Luke got to his feet.

"Yeah, he's gonna be jus' fine." Cooter wrapped an arm around Luke's shoulders and showed him to Bo's room.

Back inside, Jesse and Daisy were making do for Bo until Luke came back.

"But, he's okay?" a half-conscious Bo begged.

"He's jus' fine, Bo. You're the one in the hospital so, you jus' take it easy. Luke'll be here directly." Jesse patted his hand.

"He jus' went fer a walk is all. Cooter's lettin' him know that you're awake." Daisy explained.

"I'm gonna go call Enos." Jesse told Daisy.

Daisy nodded and took Bo's hand.

"You take it easy, sugar. I may not be Luke, but I'll keep ya safe." Daisy kissed his face as his eyes drifted shut.

Jesse headed for the pay phone, called Mabel (the operator), and had Enos patched in from his car CB.

"Enos? This is Jesse Duke. I jus' called to let ya know that Bo's gonna be jus' fine. He's awake now."

"Oh, that's great! Thanks fer callin' Uncle Jesse. I'll stop by later." Enos promised.

Cooter'd gotten Luke to Bo's room. Daisy stepped aside so Luke could get to Bo.

"Hey, cousin." Luke brushed Bo's unruly hair out of his face.

Bo slowly opened his eyes. "hey..." He choked.

Luke took his hand. "You scared me. But, I reckon I should be used to it by now. You always make it."

"No one kills Bo Duke..." he whispered.

Luke smiled and placed a hand on Bo's shoulder.

"I'm real tired, Luke..." Bo leaned his head on Luke's hand. "...but I'm okay."

"You sleep then, don't stay awake on my account." Luke placed a gentle hand on the back of Bo's head and rubbed soothingly as Bo fell asleep.

Now that Luke was there, Bo was able to truly sleep. And that he did for 5 hours, until Luke awoke him so the doctor could look at him.

The doctor eased the bed up so that Bo was sitting up.

"Howdy, sir." Bo greeted the doctor. He hated his guts, but Jesse'd brought him up to be polite.

"How you feeling, son?"

"Jus' fine." Bo wanted to go home, and he could tell that if he was able to or not was what the doctor was trying to access.

"Does it still hurt to breathe?" He asked.

"A little, but not too much." Bo admitted.

"Can you still breathe alright?" He asked, removing the oxygen.

"Yeah." Bo tested his lungs.

The doctor spent a few minutes examining him and listening to him.

"Alright, I'll get the discharge papers. You can go on home."

Bo wanted to 'yeehaw' but it hurt too much to do that yet.

"Hey Cooter could you go get the General. Please?"

"Sure thing. I'll go pick him up." Cooter took his tow truck out to where the General Lee was sitting on top of Rose Gilford's car on highway 16.

By the time Cooter retuned with the General Lee, Bo's papers were all ready to go. He wasted no time and rushed into his clothes.

Within 15 minutes, 'ol General Lee was a' cookin' down the road.
