Back at the Owl House, the Amity Clones were at wits end with each other, refusing to trust one another and not wanting to get an argument about who's real and who's fake. There were several Amity Clones on the couch, a few Amity Clones on the floor, many Amity clones in different rooms. Hooty, knowing what Amity is capable of and as much as the Owldoesn't want to, decided to keep his mouth shut and leave them alone.
A group of 3 Amity Clones sat next to each other, trying not to get caught up in a game of who's who and what's what. In fact, while they all believed that they were the real Amity Blight, they decided that fighting wasn't going to get them anywhere at all. They decided to be more civil, to work together and help one another instead of fighting amongst themselves.
"Maybe we should pull it together," One of the Amitys said, sighing as she admitted defeat. "This isn't going to solve anything."
The rest nodded in agreement, not saying anything but acknowledging each other's presence. No one had a comeback, just silence and acceptance that what the situation was. The whole Boiling Isles was probably being filled up with Amity Blight clones and there needs to be something to do about it. Maybe even a way out for everyone involved. But no one knew how to fix this, how to make the world better without causing the problems themselves. It would only be better if they got rid of the Blights somehow, but the problem was that they couldn't do that. There was nothing in their power right now to change things and there might never be something in their power again. So, they'd have to wait until they could find a solution to this mess. And hope there will still be time.
The Door opened by itself, letting Luz, the original Amity, Eda and King into the house.
"Eda's home!" Hooty smiled.
"Seriously, that Bird Tube needs to shut up, it feels like a knife in all our ears every time he opens his mouth and talks." An Amity said, sternly.
"It's not my fault his heart is in the right place." Luz said, rolling her eyes at everyone.
Everyone gave a sigh of relief at the arrival of the three newcomers.
Amity couldn't believe her eyes, the Owl House, filled with clones of herself, all were identical to each other and her, it was like a house of mirrors. She looked around, saw her face in every clone staring back at her and felt a wave of awkward coming over her and them. How many Amitys are there? And why aren't any Amitys looking around in wonder?
"They're all me." Amity said awkwardly. Most of the Amitys wanted to proclaim they were real, but the 3 Amity clones on the couch glaring at them convinced them otherwise and to keep their mouth shut.
"But the biggest question is, where can we find the other clones?" Amity sighed.
"I'm sure there are cloning puddles around the Boiling Isles," Eda said. "Even places I probably don't know about."
"Whatever it is, we better make sure we don't get her into trouble." An Amity spoke.
"No doubt in my mind." The other Amity said, smirking. "I suggest we split into groups."
The other Amity disagreed, "If she gets lost, we could get separated."
"Right." Luz frowned. "Because if we split up, then maybe the real Amity will get lost in a sea of her own self."
All the Amitys groaned in annoyance. Everyone agreed it was a bad idea to split up, especially since most Amity clones had are practically identical. But if Luz had a point, it made sense and there wasn't much of a reason to protest against her plan.
"Wait, what if there was a way to tell us apart?!" An Amity spoke up as she drew up a magic spell with her circular motion, with a number symbol inside the glyph and after activating its magic with a wave of her arms, all the Amity's earrings turned into numbers, making easier to identify which one's a duplicate and which one's real. After she did this, the others looked at each other, still unsure who was really supposed to be the real Amity. "Like this." She said, holding two earrings up. "Then we could tell each other apart."
That sounded like a good idea to some of the Amitys.
"Yeah, sounds like a plan," one said, nodding along with the group.
"Alright, so let's go look for the clones." An Amity said, starting up a search for the rest. "Everyone get into groups. We'll meet up back here ASAP."
Everyone started moving around at once, each heading off in one direction or another.
Some Amity clones were heading down toward the water or towards the docks, hoping to catch someone familiar. Others were gathering their belongings before heading off into town. The last group was headed straight for the library, hoping to find something useful or information that could help the current situation, everywhere they went there were Amity Blight clones. Some people noticed the clones but they shrugged it off, thinking they were all part of one big joke or something. A lot of people found Amity Clones creepy, especially when they all looked alike. It was kind of funny at first, but now people just saw it as weird as they all looked alike.
An entire group of Amity Clones was headed towards the library, there were so many Amity Blight clones around it and in it. When all the Amity clones arrived, they quickly found a large group of clones sitting by the library's entrance, either gossiping or reading. When they approached them, Amity Clone #29 said, "Hey guys,"
"Hi," The Library Amity Clones chuckled.
"Look, I know you're pretty busy, but right now, we've got bigger fish to fry." Amity Clone #29 said.
"So what?" One of the Reading Amity Clones said, "We're busy, we've got some studying to do. We'll see you later."
"Come on, it'll be worth your while, there's more to do than just read books. And besides, it's the weekend." Amity Clone #29 insisted.
"Sorry, but we'll pass." Another Reading Amity Clone said, shaking her head as she returned to a book she was reading.
Other Amity Clones began to join in the conversation. "Oh come on, let's at least give it a try," One of them said. Other Amities nodded their heads in agreement.
"You can't say 'no,' you just can't." Another said.
"Well..." One Reading Amity Clone paused thoughtfully. But she blew it off, "Not our problem."
Amity Clone #29 took offense with a glare, stating, "And whose problem is it then?!"
"It's another version of you guys," Another reading Amity Clone answered. "We've got stuff to study."
"So does everyone else in here!" Amity #29 snapped.
"Do you really have to study right now?!"
"Actually, yes. We are the ones studying. You can ask those other Amities just in the Witch Ball Lab."
Amity cloned #29 rolled her eyes and shook her head, walking away from the group in frustration. Other Amity Clones in her group followed behind, whispering among themselves, clearly annoyed by the conversation that was happening. But they tried their hardest not to show it, not wanting to make any the Amity Clones angry and get them in trouble. Even though they already had plenty of reasons to be mad at Amity Clones in the library.
As soon as the Amity Clones walked away, they saw more Amity clones surrounding the library, like rising water in a sinking sub. And their expressions showing the exact same feelings the Amity Clones were having, disappointment.
"How rude can they get?" One of the Amitys asked, crossing her arms. "Can you believe that? They're playing Grudgeby at a time like this? Do they even realize how hard we're working to find a way?!"
"This doesn't surprise me at all, I mean seriously, who wouldn't be angry?" Another readying an axe, ready to attack the Amity Clones.
"Guys! We need to focus. There are more important matters to worry about." A Reading Amity warned the Amity Clones, raising her hand to calm them down. "We shouldn't fight amongst ourselves. What's done is done, we need to do something about the increasing number of clones and wrangle all the clones to the Owl House."
A few of the Amity Clones didn't seem too convinced, but they listened to their leader anyway.
