The sun began to set as dark clouds moved through the sky, as the five Foot Mystics stand around a circle on top of a building..
"It is written in the skies!" Fire declared.
Lighting shot from the clouds near the building.
"The five shall undo the chains of time and free the dark one." Water said.
"We are the five." Earth said.
"And we shall free the master!" Metal declared.
Their bodies glowed with red magic.
"We shall raise him from his captivity." Wind declared.
!That he may unleash chaos unto the world." Water said, as lighting roared behind him.
More lighting shot past the building.
"And now is the time!" Fire declared.
They all raised their arms up, before the lighting hit them all, vanishing them from sight.
"The end has come. And... it begins... tonight." Fire declared.
In the sky, the Moon was full, with dark red clouds floating around, as the Tribunal's ship flew through it towards the Monastery. Thunder roared in the sky, as the ship moved past several clouds.
On the ship, Mikey stood on the bow, with Tora standing near him.
"I'm king of the world!" Mikey declared.
Lighting struck in the sky nearby, making him panic.
"Ah!" he screamed.
He jumped back and landing in Tora's arms Scooby-Doo style.
"Heh, heh. At least there's no icebergs up here, right Tora?" he said.
"I pray I never learn to understand you, Mikey-san." Tora said.
He dropped Mikey onto the deck.
"Oh!" Mikey yelped.
Two birds flew past Tora towards the upper deck, where Hisomi, Adam and Donnie all stood by the wheel, using their chi to steer the ship. It spun around, moving the rudder to its left, before Donnie and Adam opened their eyes.
"Coolest ship ever." Donnie said.
On the stern of the ship, stood Raph and Joi, the latter looking at the distance, while Raph leaned on a pillar with his arms folded.
"So, Joi, after all this blows over, if you ever find yourself in New York, look us up?" Raph asked.
"I plan on it." Joi said, turning around. "But let's save the world first. Okay, tough guy?"
Further down the ship was Cath and Irene, who both stood facing each other.
"You know, despite all the trouble I've had, I've enjoyed this little adventure." Cath said.
"I know what you mean." Irene said. "You and your family may have freaked me at first, but you guys are great."
"Thanks." Cath said.
Irene smiled and took out a book from her pouch.
"Here." she said.
Cath took it, and saw it was a medical book.
"Thought you might need it, since you lost most of yours." Irene said.
"I... Thanks, Irene." Cath said.
On the other side of the deck, was Elisa and Luis, who both leaned on the edge of the ship.
"I suppose you're heading back home when this is all over?" Elisa asked.
"Yeah." Luis answered. "My parents are probably wondering where I've been. I better have a good story for them."
"I'm sure you'll think of something, Luis." Elisa assured, touching his shoulder.
"Thanks." Luis said.
The ship flew off past a few clouds, as lighting went off in the sky.
In the hull of the ship, stood Leo, Faraji and Chikara, all around a small table the gauntlet was on.
"The wretched ones heralds will not let our victory go unanswered." Chikara explained.
She ran her hand over the gauntlet, covering it in green chi.
"But, Chikara-Shisho, with the Shredder's artifacts secure, haven't we stopped his resurrection in its tracks?" Leo asked.
"We have won a battle, Leonardo, but only when all three artifacts are entombed within the monastery will I feel even an iota of relief." Chikara said, putting a cover over the gauntlet.
The ship continued the sail away through the sky, as Adam, Donnie and Hisomi kept using their chi to steer it. Hisomi opened his eyes and looked up, making Donnie and Adam open their eyes and look at him, before he pointed forward. Both Acolytes turned and saw the Monastery up ahead, before the ship docked near it.
A little later, the 12 Acolytes, Chikara and Hisomi - carrying the gauntlet - stood by the door to the Oratory, which Kon opened up, before they all entered the building.
"I had a terrible vision, Chikara. The beginning of the end is upon us." Kon said.
They all approached Juto, Splinter and the Ancient One, who stood by the green fountain. They stopped near them, before Leo approached his father, then turned around once beside him.
"Master Splinter, what's going on?" Leo asked.
"The omens have turned against us, my son, despite all your good work and hard-won efforts." Splinter answered.
"The five Mystic Warriors come to the Monastery. They approach even now." Kon explained. "The Heralds of the Shredder."
"Ah!" the Turtles gasped.
"We must take drastic measures if we are to survive." Kon decided, taking the gauntlet from Hisomi. "Hisomi, lead the Acolytes to the third artifact. They will be our last line of defence."
"The sarcophagus?" Chikara exclaimed. "Kon, the location of their artifact is our most closely guarded secret. Better to make our stand here."
"Chikara, I have seen the future. Secrets will not help us now." Kon reasoned. "Time is of the essence. You must trust me in this."
"Acolytes, steel yourselves, and prepare." Chikara instructed, turning to them.
She turned and left with Kon and Juto.
A little later, Hisomi, Splinter, the Ancient One and the Acolytes all walked down a set of steps into a room lit by torch fires. They all stopped on a large circular floor tile, then Hisomi held his hands up, which glowed, before he touched the floor, lighting up the tile's patterns, before it began to take everyone down like an elevator.
Meanwhile, Kon, Juto and Chikara were walking down a hallway together, Chikara still unsure about Kon's decision.
"These actions seem rash, Kon." Chikara said, as lighting went off outside. "I do not understand why it is necessary that the Acolytes know the location of the evil one's sarcophagus. If the Heralds realize the acolytes have this knowledge, their lives are forfeit. We agreed that the location of the crypt would die with the Tribunal."
"Yes, we would not have it any other way." Kon said.
They all entered a room, Kon and Juto on either side, as Chikara got between them.
"Ah!" she gasped.
She saw the real Ancient One and Splinter lying on the floor, chained up, while the real Kon and Juto on pinned on the walls with spikes, all covered in bruises. She backed away in horror, as Juto opened his eyes.
"Chi-Chikara, run!" he begged.
The fake Kon and Juto turned to Chikara with grins on their faces, before she ducked and spun around to tackle them, but missed as they jumped up. Fire and wind came out of their bodies, before they transformed into the Fire and Wind Mystics respectfully.
"It's too late for that." Fire said.
"No, no!" Chikara said. "It cannot be! The Heralds of the Shredder!"
"Yes, we have come. You see before you now the beginning of the end. The end of everything." Fire declared.
He shot fire from his hand as he closed his eyes slightly, starting a fire in the room.
Down in the basement room, the elevator kept descending as Hisomi, the Acolytes, and the fake Ancient One and Splinter remained still. They all saw the room was filled with rocks and lava.
"Whoa! If the Tribunal ever gets strapped for cash, you can make beaucoup bucks charging admission for this ride." Mikey joked.
Elisa swatted the back of his head.
"Ow!" he yelped, rubbing it.
"This is not the time for jokes, Mikey!" Elisa said sternly.
The elevator kept descending, as the fake Splinter and Ancient One turned to each other. Once the elevator stopped, they all ran towards a bridge that stopped halfway, before they stopped, as a waterfall of lava was on the other side. Hisomi held his hand up, then took out his Tessens, which glowed with chi as he waved them around, then he approached the lava. He put them in the lava, moving part of it aside, showing a secret cavern filled with stalactites and stalagmites.
"Well, here we go." Luis said.
Everyone walked through the doorway into the cavern, the fake Splinter and Ancient One being the last, before Hisomi followed them, who then led them down the carven. Mikey stopped when he spotted the sarcophagus, which was on a raised platform, with a beam of light shining down on it.
"Whoa. From scorching hot to the freeze zone." he said, as they all approached it. "Hope we don't catch cold."
"Yeah, Mikey, that's the big concern here." Raph said sarcastically.
They all stopped before Hisomi pointed at the sarcophagus.
"This must be the place?" Donnie assumed.
The fake Splinter and Ancient One turned to each other.
"I don't need Hisomi to tell me that." Raph said, pointing at him. "The hairs on the back of my neck are standing up. I don't even have hair."
"This place gives me the creeps." Cath said. "I hope we don't have to stay here long."
"Same here." Elisa agreed.
Everyone looked up as they heard shaking and crumbling, before they all got knocked up into the air.
"AHH!" all but Hisomi yelped.
Leo and Faraji hit the ground near each other, as did Hisomi and the other Acolytes, before they looked at the fake Splinter and Ancient One, who'd landed on their feet.
"Master Splinter, Ancient One, are you alright?" Leo asked.
The fakes laughed and levitated up, before they transformed into the Water and Earth Mystics.
"It's the Shredder's Heralds!" Raph exclaimed.
"Yes, so generous of you to lead us straight to our master's sarcophagus." Earth said.
"Well, you're not welcome, you creeps!" Elisa growled.
"What have you done to our father and the Ancient One?!" Leo demanded.
"You will meet them soon enough, now that we have all that we need." Earth sneered, as the Metal Mystic rose up behind him and Water via magic.
He laughed evilly as all but his brothers stared at him.
Upstairs, Chikara was now badly beaten up, hanging on a wall like Kon and Juto, as Fire touched her arms to restrain her there. He moved down towards Wind while holding the gauntlet.
"Do you feel it, brother? The third artifact is ours." Wind said.
"Yes, I sense it too." Fire said. "We now process all the pieces we need to resurrect our master. And with these fools finished, let us now join our brothers in victory!"
They both turned into their elements and shot away, just as Splinter opened his eyes.
Down below, Fire and Wind turned back to normal over their brothers, before they lowered themselves down, so all five stood around the sarcophagus.
"Now, finally, the age of the Tribunal is at an end." Earth declared.
Hisomi and the Acolytes all charged at them all.
"For Oroku Saki, the one true Shredder will arise again!" Fire declared.
Hisomi dashed forward and got in front of Fire and Earth, before he brought his Tessens out and opened them.
"Remember what you've learned, Acolytes!" Leo said, as they all jumped up, before they landed near the Foot Mystics. "It all comes with the training."
They all kept charging, as Earth turned and dug his hands into the ground, making part of it rise up in spikes as it came towards them, before a large rock wall rose up between the Acolytes, and Hisomi and the Foot Mystics.
Hisomi held up his Tessens, as Wind shot whirlwinds from his hands, which hit his back and knocked him down onto his chest as he dropped his Tessens. Earth dug his left hand into the ground, making a trail rise up towards Hisomi, before a hand rose up from it. It swerved around and punched Hisomi as he got up, knocking him away as it kept on him. Fire shot a fireball from his right hand, which hit Hisomi's back as he hovered over the sarcophagus, then Earth's hand pulled back, before the fire vanished, then he fell onto the sarcophagus.
Hisomi pulled himself off of it, with his arms and head lowered, before he turned and stumbled away, then fell onto his chest out cold.
Raph burst the wall open with his Banrai, as his amulet glowed and body.
"Hisomi-san!" he called, as he and Joi ran forward.
"NOO!" Cath gasped.
She and Irene both followed Raph and Joi, as Metal extended metal spikes from his body, which then shot towards them all, before Adam whacked them with his mallet. He and Luis both jumped and landed in front of Metal, who wrapped his metal extended arms around him.
"The cleaving wind!" Donnie yelled, jumping up, his amulet and body glowing.
He spun around and then used Byakko to slice the metal arms, freeing Adam and Luis.
"Ah!" Metal groaned.
Adam and Luis stumbled back, before Donnie landed near them, then Metal jumped up as they came towards him, before Fire shot fire from his hands at them.
"Look out!" Luis yelled.
He, Adam and Donnie all jumped aside, before the fire could hit them all. Donnie landed on his chest, before Raph and Elisa got in front of him. They spun Banrai and Arashi around, deflecting the fire, sending it right back at Fire as they slashed their weapons down.
"AH!" Fire moaned.
Joi, Irene and Tora all charged at Wind, who ducked and dodged as Joi tried to slash him with her staff, before he jumped over her. Irene tried to whack him with her right Kanabō, but missed as he dodged, then he ducked as she tried to whack him with her left one, before he got past her. She turned around, as Tora tried to slash Wind's legs with his dual-bladed staff, but missed as he jumped up slightly, then got onto his hands, then back flipped past Irene and Joi as they tried to whack him at the same time. He landed on his feet, before Joi spun around to hit his side, but missed as he jumped up slightly, then he back flipped away as Tora tried to hit him with his bladed staff, before he landed on his feet, staring at them. Irene raised her arms up, just as Mikey came over and tried to whack him, but he leaned back, then jumped away as Mikey slammed Inazuma into the ground.
Cath stood facing Water, who glared at her, before he shot water from his arms at her, as her amulet and body lit up.
"Kōri Ice!" Cath yelled.
She spun Kōri around and dug its blades into the ground, shooting ice beams from them, which hit the water coming towards her, freezing them soiled.
"Huh?" Water gasped. "Impressive, but not good enough."
He shook his arms and snapped the ice around them, shocking Cath, who was then knocked away by his right arm.
"AHH!" she moaned.
She hit the ground and rolled over, stopping near Elisa, who helped her up.
"You okay, sis?" she asked.
"Yeah." Cath coughed.
All the Foot Mystics - but Fire - rose up and stared down at the Acolytes.
"Impressive. The reptiles have learned much since we last met, but it will not matter." Fire said, coming down in front of his brothers.
Cath and Elisa both turned to each other.
"He's talking like we've met them before." Cath whispered.
"Yeah, but from where?" Elisa wondered. "I don't remember fighting these creeps before."
"Me neither." Cath whispered.
Fire raised his arms up, then twin water sprouts shoot up from water behind the Acolytes. They all turned around as a Demon Baku, which had four legs and two arms, and a horn on its nose, jumped out of them, then landed in front of the Acolytes, as they turned back. It roared as they looked at it, before they turned around and another Demon rose up from it, this one being a Sojo, a giant slithering snake creature.
"What the shell are those?" Raph questioned, turning around.
"My guess, more Demons." Irene answered.
"Correct, Acolyte." Fire said. "They are Sojo, spawn of black waters and Baku, devourer of dreams. Heed the wish of your master, leave nothing breathing!"
Baku roared and came towards the Acolytes, stomping his left front foot in front of them, as Sojo screeched. Sojo moved to hit them all with his head, as Baku slammed his fists down, as all 12 Acolytes jumped away to avoid them, while the attacks created a smokescreen. Once it cleared, Leo, Faraji, Adam and Joi all stared at them all.
"We can do this!" Leo said. "Stay focused and we can take them!"
"Remember, true strength comes from within, and nothing can stop…" Faraji began, as Gunshin lit up.
Sojo whacked him away with its body.
"AH!" he yelped.
Everyone looked shocked and horrified.
"FARAJI!" Leo yelled.
Faraji hit the ground hard and rolled over, before he stopped on his chest. He tried to get up, before Sojo whacked him away with its tail.
"AH!" he yelled.
"We're coming!" Mikey said.
"Hang on!" Irene yelled.
Faraji hit the ceiling hard, then fell down towards the ground, hitting it hard, as Adam, Mikey, Cath and Irene all ran towards him.
"Faraji!" Adam cried.
Baku whacked them all away with his horn.
"AHH!" they yelled.
Adam hit the ground near Donnie and Raph - who's amulets and bodies glowed - as Cath and Irene both hit the ground near Luis and Elisa, while Mikey hit it near Tora.
Leo ran past both Demons towards Faraji, hoping his friend was alright, but then he turned and somersaulted away, as Sojo tried to ram him with its head. He stared at Sojo, then back flipped away as it tried to bite him, landing on spike on a stalagmite, then he jumped towards the top of it. He then jumped away as it moved to bite him, making it bite the top of the stalagmite then he landed near Faraji, before he ran towards him.
"Faraji!" Leo gasped.
He put his swords away and crouched down near him.
"Save your strength, Faraji, I'm gonna get you outta here." Leo said, as Faraji tried to move.
"Leo...my time here...is at an end." Faraji said weakly.
"Don't say that? You're gonna be alright." Leo said, before he turned. "Cath, Irene, help!"
Cath and Irene both turned, but then had to dive away to avoid Sojo's tail as it nearly hit them both.
"A bit busy here, Leo!" Cath called. "Sorry!"
Leo turned to Faraji, who touched his shoulder.
"Ugh! The Gunshin...is yours. Was always meant for you, Leo. Uh. I was just…holding it." Faraji said.
He stopped moving, making Leo upset over his friend's death, before he grabbed Gunshin from him.
"I will honor you with it, Faraji." he promised, resting it on his shoulder.
Elsewhere, Elisa and Luis both dodged as Baku, before they both dived away as he nearly stomped on them with his front right leg.
"Uh!" they moaned, hitting the floor on their chests.
They both turned to each other.
"Phew. That was close." Elisa said.
"Yeah, but it's-" Luis began, when he got knocked away by Sojo's tail.
"LUIS!" Elisa cried.
Luis hit the ground hard on his back, past a stalagmite, dropping his scythe as he did, leaving him out cold.
Elisa ran over him to him, jumping over the stalagmite, then she approached her friend, hoping he was okay. She put Arashi away as she did, before she crouched down beside him.
"Luis, talk to me?" she begged, shaking him. "Please be alright?"
"Elisa... Go! You must help the others." Luis said weakly.
"I'm not leaving you!" Elisa argued.
"It's...too...late... for me...my friend." Luis said weakly.
He turned over and closed his eyes, as tears came down Elisa's eyes, checking on him, but found no pulse.
"Luis...I promise, I'll make those creeps pay for this, if it's the last thing I ever do." she promised.
She got up and turned around, gritting her teeth angrily, swearing revenge on the Foot Mystics.
Upstairs, Splinter had now managed to free himself, Kon, Chikara and the Ancient One, who was currently freeing Juto.
"The enemy has found the third artifact, their master's sarcophagus." Chikara said, getting up.
Juto fell to the floor on his knees, as Splinter helped Kon up, before the Ancient One jumped down to the floor.
"If they escape with all three artifacts, the world is doomed." Juto realized.
They all ran off out of the room.
"Then we must stop them." Splinter said. "Come."
Back downstairs, Baku approached Raph and Donnie, who looked up at him. Both their amulets and bodies glowed, then they shot beams from Byakko and Banrai at Baku, which began draining and inhaling the magic.
"You hit high, I'll...hit...low!" Raph said, as their chi left them.
They fell to their knees from exhaustion, then Baku slammed its right hand over them both. It pulled its hand back, leaving a large handprint which Raph and Donnie lay in, as Joi and Irene ran over to them both.
"Get up, get up!" Joi said.
"Guys, we can't go down!" Irene said.
They both crouched by the Turtles, then tried to wake them up, as Fire hovered near Baku, looking down on them all.
"We've wasted enough time here." he said. "Finish them!"
Baku roared and slammed its right forearm into a stalagmite behind it, breaking off the top, which it grabbed. It moved towards the four Acolytes, who looked up as it held it above itself - Donnie on his knees, the others on their feet. They kept staring at it, when Leo shot blue waves of fire from Gunshin at it, knocking it back, then Elisa shot beams from Arashi at it, knocking it down onto its side.
Both Turtles' amulets and bodies glowed, Elisa breathing hard with anger, before Leo spun Gunshin around in a circle, creating one made of magic.
"By the Dragon's fire, burn Demon!" Leo roared.
He pushed Gunshin forward, sending waves of magic at Baku, which was now on its four legs, before it vanished upon the waves hitting it.
"Now that's being a Turtle." Raph said.
"Gunshin? But what happened to Faraji?" Donnie questioned.
"And where's Luis?" Irene wondered. "Elisa called for help for him."
Elisa ran over to them all, her cold blood still boiling with anger, when Sojo's tail came behind Joi and wrapped around her.
"Uh!" she yelped.
Elisa stopped as Donnie and Raph turned to her.
"Joi, no!" Raph cried.
"Raphael, avenge me?!" Joi called.
Sojo moved its head so it was right near Joi's, as Raph jumped up angrily, his amulet and body glowing.
"That's it, you slimy serpent!" he growled.
He waved Banrai around, turning into a wheel, then he moved around, cutting off all the stalactites on the ceiling, which came crashing down onto Sojo, burying him in the water with what was left of Joi, as Raph landed near Elisa.
"That one was for you, Joi. I won't forget you." Raph promised.
"Make it for Luis too?!" Elisa scowled, coming towards him. "That slippery snake took him out as well!"
"What?" Donnie gasped.
Raph and Elisa turned as he and Leo approached them all.
"Does the mean Faraji's-" he began.
"He's gone too." Leo sighed. "He told me to take Gunshin with his last breath."
Fire landed near the Shredder's sarcophagus.
"It is time!" he declared.
He turned and moved towards the sarcophagus, as his brothers all landed around it. Magic came out of his body, spreading to his brothers, before the Shredder's gauntlet and helmet appeared on the sarcophagus.
"We have all we need. The master shall rule once again!" Fire declared.
All but Earth rose up and flew towards the ceiling, who then held his hand up, creating a stone pillar that shot the three artifacts up towards the ceiling after his brothers.
"Not today, not ever!" Donnie said, diving down, followed by Cath.
"And not if we can help it!" Cath vowed.
Cath dug Kōri's blades into the ground, shooting ice beams from them, hitting the stone pillar, slowing it down, as Donnie spun Byakko around. He jumped up and sliced the stone pillar up with Byakko, sending the other Foot Mystics flying away.
"AHH!" they yelled.
The three artifacts shot down towards the ground, before Adam and Tora jumped towards them. They landed on the sarcophagus, then Adam grabbed the helmet, as Tora grabbed the gauntlet, then they both jumped off the sarcophagus, which landed in the spot it had laid. Both Acolytes landed near each other, as Mikey looked up at the Foot Mystcis, his amulet and body lit up, before he spun around and jumped up.
"Inazuma, do your thing!" he shouted, cracking it back and forth like a whip.
Fire gasped as Mikey dived towards him, before five beams came out of Inazuma, hitting each of the five Foot Mystics, sending them flying away, first Fire, then Water, Earth, Wind, and then Metal.
A little later, Adam approached the sarcophagus as Mikey and Tora watched.
"The casket, we did it!" he said, before turning around. "Mikey, catch?"
He threw the helmet away towards Mikey, who caught it.
"All right! We got back all three artifacts, and the give goombahs are out of commission." Mikey said happily.
"Yes, but for how long?" Tora questioned.
"And at what cost?" Elisa questioned, approaching them.
Mikey turned and gasped, seeing Hisomi on the ground.
"Master!" he gasped, approaching him.
He kneeled beside Hisomi and put the helmet down.
"We need to get Hisomi back to the Monastery." he said. "He needs help!"
He turned Hisomi onto his back, the weight of him knocking him away slightly, but then lifted up Hisomi's head, before a whip hit his left forearm.
"Ah!" he yelped.
"Leave him be!" came a familiar voice, as Mikey dropped Hisomi.
Everyone turned to see the other members of the Tribunal, Splinter and the Ancient One coming towards them, Juto holding the other end of the whip via his left sleeve.
"His time is done." Juto said harshly.
He retracted his whip as the 9 surviving Acolytes gathered together.
"You have fought well, but this is far from over." Juto said.
"But Hisomi, Joi, Luis, Faraji, they're all-" Mikey began.
"All we can do for them now is honor their courage by stopping Oroku Saki's return. I am sorry." Splinter said.
Adam picked up the sarcophagus.
"And the first step along that path, is to destroy the Shredder's Heralds!" Chikara said sternly.
Four of the Foot Mystics rose up from the water, with Metal rising up behind the others from the ground.
"Oh, no. Look!" Tora said, spotting them.
The five Foot Mystics all shot up towards everyone.
Kon, Juto and Chikara all put their hands together, creating a wall of fire around them, before the ground began to shake wildly.
"Make haste. Take the artifacts far from this place. Hide them. Leave the Heralds to us." Chikara said.
The Acolytes all hesitated and stared at the Ninja Tribunal.
"Go, now!" Chikara commanded.
A bubble of fire began to arise around the three members of the Ninja Tribunal, as the Foot Mystics swooped down towards it, but then stopped.
"Join your master!" Kon roared.
"Guys, Chikara's right." Irene said, turning to her friends. "There's nothing we can do here."
The Acolytes, Splinter and the Ancient One all turned and ran off down the carven, Adam carrying the sarcophagus over his shoulder. They entered another part of the carven as smoke came up behind them all. The tribunal's fire bubble extended itself out, creating explosions all over the area beneath the Monastery, creating a smokescreen which went all the way to the top.
Back inside, the Ancient One, Splinter and the 9 remaining Acolytes all arrived in the basement room by the floor elevator, then they all turned and ran up the stairs towards the main building. Once there, Leo and Raph kicked the door open, then they all ran inside, but stopped and saw the five Foot Mystics hovering above the fountain.
"No! The Heralds! But how?" Leo questioned.
"How the shell did you get up here so fast?!" Elisa demanded.
"You have underestimated our powers." Water said coldly.
"And, for that mistake, your lives will end here." Fire declared, clutching his fist.
"But if these guys are up here, that means..." Leo began.
"That means the Ninja Tribunal is no more." Water said.
"The artifacts, now!" Fire demanded.
"No way!" Cath snarled.
"Forget it!" Elisa growled. "If you want them, you'll have to go through us!"
"Have it your way." Fire spat.
Metal dived down towards them all, turning his left hand so it was like the right, then he landed near Tora and Irene. He tried to slash them both with his arms, but they blocked his attacks with their arms, but stumbled back towards the door. He approached them, then waved his arms around quickly like a blur, forming a cyclone, as both Acolytes held up their weapons to block his arms.
"Tora! Irene!" Adam said.
He put the sarcophagus down, then he, Donnie and Cath all ran off to help Tora and Irene. Leo began to join them, when the floor beneath him ripped open, and earthly hands grabbed him, holding him still. He tried to get free, as Earth rose up from the ground beside him.
Splinter, Elisa, Raph and the Ancient One all looked up at Water, before he whipped his arms up. Raph and Elisa both charged forward, as a water bubble came up around Splinter, lifting him up and cutting off his air, then the same thing happened to the Ancient One.
Raph and Elisa both jumped to either side of Earth as he tried to punch them, then Elisa back flipped away as he tried to whack him with his left arm, before he turned to Raph. He tried to punch Raph, who jumped onto the sarcophagus, but then he turned and punched Raph's chest, knocking him away, then he turned and punched Elisa's chest as she came at him, knocking her away. He grabbed the sarcophagus, then ran off with it towards Mikey, who gasped nervously.
"Uh..." he muttered.
He dived to his left, making Earth slam into a wall, which caused the entire building to shake wildly.
"Ah!" Donnie gasped.
"What the shell?!" Cath exclaimed.
A large boulder shot down from the ceiling towards Adam.
"Look out!" Donnie yelled.
He dived and pushed Adam away before the boulder could hit them both, but then Adam saw another coming down towards them.
"Ah!" he gasped.
He got up and caught a very large boulder that nearly squashed him and Donnie, but it was too heavy for him.
"I can't hold it!" he gritted. "Go! Go!"
"No!" Donnie argued.
Adam kicked him away, saving his life, but at the cost of his own as the boulder squashed him.
"Adam!" Donnie cried.
Cath dived to her right to dodge a boulder nearly hitting her, then she rolled away as another nearly squashed her like a pancake, before she turned.
Irene moved towards Metal as a boulder near hit her, but then he turned and slashed her with his arms, sending her flying away across the room, before she hit a pillar.
"Uh!" she moaned.
"Irene!" Cath cried, turning to her.
She got up and ran over to her, then crouched near her, as Irene looked at her.
"Irene, hang on?" Cath said. "I'm gonna-"
"Cath...it's too late. You've got...bigger things to deal with!" Irene coughed.
She turned her head and closed her eyes, then Cath touched her neck, but found no pulse.
"No!" she cried.
Tears came down her eyes as she took Irene's book out of her medical kit.
"I'll take care of this for you, I promise." she said.
She put the book back into her medical kit, then she turned around, seeing Tora getting knocked away by Metal, landing near the boulder that squashed Adam. Metal landed near Tora, then began to try and stab him repeatedly with his arms, but Tora blocked seven of them with his dual-bladed staff, but one went through his chest.
"AHH!" he moaned.
Mikey ran over and rolled forward to dodge a whirlwind made by Wind, then turned to Tora while crouched down, as his amulet and body lit up.
"Tora!" Mikey cried.
He put the gauntlet down and dashed over, dodging another whirlwind, then he grabbed Tora and pulled him away from Metal, who tried to stab him again, only to hit the floor. He put Tora on his shoulders, then turned and dashed away, stopping near Donnie and the boulder, putting Tora down as Cath came towards them all.
"Tora. You-you're gonna be okay. I—" Mikey said.
Tora chuckled slightly, as his amulet glowed.
"Mikey-san, you finally made me laugh. Ah-ugh!" Tora said.
Mikey, Donnie and Cath all stared at Tora's body, before they flinched and turned away, before Mikey turned to Cath.
"Cathy, can't you-" Mikey began frantically.
"I'm afraid not." Cath sighed. "There's nothing I can do for any of them."
All five Foot Mystics stared at the Turtles while hovering in the air, Earth holding the sarcophagus, Water the gauntlet, and Fire the helmet.
"What a pity." Fire said with no remorse. "Such a waste of power, simply to delay the inevitable?
Earth turned and put the Sarcophagus down between them, which the others all touched. Splinter, the Ancient One and Leo all stared at them, Leo breaking free from his restraints, as the bubbles around Splinter and the Ancient One vanished.
"From the ashes of your accursed Ninja Tribunal, our dread Lord Shredder will rise again." Fire declared.
Leo fell to his knees as his family and the Ancient One all gathered around him.
Beams of magic came out of the Foot Mystics, which spread all over the Monastery, from the room they got their weapons, which began to cave-in, to the room the Mutant family had spelt in, which also caved-in. The basement craven the Ninja Tribunal, Faraji, Joi and Luis had perished was next, which rocks falling into the lava, then the main room's floor began to rise up.
"Ah!" the Mutant family yelped. "Ah! AHH!"
Part of the floor rose up with them on, as the rest of of it sank beneath lava that came from the carven. They all looked up at the Foot Mystics, as Fire laughed evilly, stretching his arms out. A portal opened up near them, which the others entered, before Fire turned to the Mutant family and the Ancient One.
"On behalf of the Great One, we thank you." he said, bowing his head.
He turned and entered the portal, which slowly began to close.
"No. No, it can't all have been for nothing. I won't let it be." Leo vowed, closing his eyes, holding Gunshin up.
His amulet and body glowed, then he slashed Gunshin twice.
"Hy-ah!" he yelled, pointing it forward.
Beams shot from it at the patrol, hitting its center.
"I will never stop fighting!" Leo swore.
He moved back slightly as the portal approached them all.
"Hurry, I don't know how long I can keep this thing open!" Leo grunted.
The Anceint One and his family all jumped into the portal, then he lowered Gunshin as his chi vanished, before he jumped after them, getting into the portal right before it closed.
In New York, a portal opened up in an alley, then Splinter, the Ancient One and Donnie fell out of it, followed by Elisa and Cath, and then Leo and Raph.
"Uh! Ah!" they moaned.
Donnie and Raph landed on some trash as the others hit the ground, as Mikey came out of the portal.
"Ah!" he yelped, hitting an open dumpster.
They all pulled themselves up - Mikey out of the dumpster - then Leo, Elisa, Donnie and Splinter all peeked out past a building, and saw they were in Times Square, which was full of traffic and people on the streets.
"We're home." Donnie said.
The four Mutants pulled back and turned to the others.
"Master Splinter, I-I can't believe it." Leo began. "Faraji and the others, the Ninja Tribunal, all gone."
"They have made the ultimate sacrifice. We cannot let it be in vain." Splinter said.
"What about the Heralds? Why the shell would they come here to New York City?" Raph questioned.
"I do not know, Raphael, but I do know what their victory today means." Splinter answered honestly. "It means that the end of the world begins - here."
Thunder rumbled in the clouds above as they all looked up at the sky, then lighting went off, showing the Shredder's helmet among the clouds. They all turned to each other, all knowing they had a big responsibility on their hands; to stop the Demon Shredder, and to make sure their friends and teachers hadn't died in vain.
