Lucy was very excited about her first date and she met Rachel at Bread Sticks. Lucy was still wearing the dress she had worn earlier today; Rachel had changed into casual clothes. She had on her favorite reindeer sweater and jeans
Lucy said: "I love your sweater."
"Thank you." Rachel replied. She was happy Lucy said that, it was nice that somebody liked her sweater. Kurt was always giving her a hard time about it.
Rachel asked: "Lucy do you sing to too?
Lucy replied: "Yes I try out for the school musical with my friends every year. I usually just get a bit part, or I am in the chorus. This year we're doing Bye-Bye Birdie and I think my audition went well. I am also singing "Baby it's Cold Outside" at Kings Island next couple weeks.
"That is amazing." Rachel said, "I have never been to Kings Island do you know who your singing with?"
Lucy answered: "Yes I'm singing with Blaine from the Warblers. He's a friend of mine."
Rachel said: "I know Blaine is very talented, I to want hear you sing."
"I would love for you to come hear me sing." said Lucy excitedly, "Especially since you have never been to Kings Island's Christmas Extravaganza. It is lots of fun."
They spent the next couple of hours talking and having a really good time. Then they went to Rachel's house and hung out for a couple hours. Lucy really didn't want to want to leave. She gave Rachel a good kiss and then another kiss followed by another and another. Lucy smiled, all the way home.
A few days later, Lucy was so nervous and excited about her performance and about seeing Rachel again. Lucy had on a Christmas red dress and red shoes that slightly resembled Dorothy's ruby slippers. She applied the bright red lipstick that the company required she wear and then she looked at her reflection in the mirror. She said, "People with my with my light complexion should never wear bright red lipstick." She wished that she had a pocket to put her usual color lipstick in so she could wipe off the red as soon as her performance was done. There was a knock on her door, it was her mom Judy Fabray. Judy said to her daughter, "You look beautiful, good luck with your performance."
"Thanks mom, see you later." Lucy replied.
Lucy arrived at King's Island a little over an hour before her performance, so she was able to walk around the amusement park. She checked out its shops, rides, and the place to get holiday treats. She enjoyed seeing the people in holiday costumes, and her favorite part would be later that evening when the whole place would be lit up with Christmas lights. There would be a 314 feet Eiffel Tower that transfers into a magical Christmas tree.
She met up with Rachel Berry in the one of the gift shops. They looked around for a little while and then headed to where the stage was located. Lucy had a great time singing on stage even though "Baby it's Cold Outside" was far from her favorite Christmas carol. You wouldn't know it from the way she got into her performance and in the way the audience applauded widely afterwards. That made all the nervousness she felt well worth it. If she could feel like this every day, she would wear the brightest red lipstick they make. Afterwards, she and Rachel went ice-skating. After they had been on the ice for a while Rachel wanted to take a break from skating and went to go get some hot chocolate.
Cooper skated out to Lucy.
Cooper said: "Lucy good to see you."
Lucy replied: "Cooper, it is good to see you too."
Cooper said: "I saw your performance with my brother you were very good. I have performed here a few times and I was so good in those performances. Are you going to my family's Christmas party?"
Lucy answered: "Yes I am."
Cooper said: "If you want you can perform the duet of the party with me; I assuming you would want to sing with me instead of Blaine since I am the better singer."
Lucy said: "I would love to perform with you Cooper. How will Amber Moore feel about you and I doing a duet it together?"
Cooper replied: "Don't believe everything you read; Amber is actually engaged to somebody else."
Lucy smiled and thought why do fall for such divas.
