Authors note: Well, I hope Chapter 3 was somewhat decent still learning things again ideas are appreciated. One more thing the minigun with the M134 so expect weapons to be replaced by real-world equivalents also I'm not a doctor so take medical scenes with a huge amount of salt. Sorry for the delay I was on vacation and my laptop was giving me a lot of trouble had to reset it and redownload everything good news is I finally fixed it. As for Shears, there will be changes to the timeline plus, I want to make an epic sword duel between him and Liberator much later on. Oh, you're in for a twist when they return to the Commonwealth. It involves a certain BB-59.

Fallout Fox Chapter 4 Power Armor

Liberator said, "Sturges you're with me Cody you stay with Fox and Krystal."

Both simply nodded and followed orders. Pepper sent them a shuttle to get back to the Commonwealth however it wasn't nearly as comfortable as the flagship. To put it short it would take them several hours to get to the Commonwealth and back. A couple of Cornerian soldiers joined the duo.

The shuttle entered the warp gate and headed for Earth. Several hours later the landed in the Commonwealth Liberator and left his T-51F in the shuttle he plans to put a fresh fusion core in the T-45 climb in grab all the tools then head back for the shuttle and restore it at Corneria he is going to teach the Cornerians the power of power armor. Liberator walked into the museum escorted by the C.D.F. soldiers. He stumbled upon the security gate they couldn't open. He planted an EMP charge.

"Everyone get back unless you want your blasters and equipment fried."

The EMP went off disabling the magnet locks. The door opened allowing Liberator to take the fusion core from the generator. The group then walked up to the crashed vertibird. Liberator slammed the core in the armor. The T-45 reactivated as Liberator opened the valve and climbed into its rusted embrace. He found a holotape on the table and kept it. He remembered whose armor this was it was Daly's armor he was one of the survivors he led to Fort Independence when the bombs fell.

He looked at the core gauge realizing it only had half its power left. This alone would only buy Evan five hours of power. Liberator gritted his teeth frustrated.

"Damn budget cuts the Commonwealth always got shafted being given the rejected stuff fusion cores included."

Why they didn't get the power packs he never knew. He then smiled the Cornerians could make a power pack forever phasing out the fusion core. He looked at the hud and saw the left arm and right arm were heavily damaged in the crash and would need repairs. To be fair it needed maintenance since it hasn't been in over two hundred years. He walked forward and ripped the M134 minigun off the vertibird ammo included.

He smiled "Evan is going to love this."

"Alright watch this."

He jumped down off the roof landing in a crater with a loud crash. The others had to walk back down.

Sturges snapped at Liberator saying "Boss now is not the time to show off Evan is counting on us."

Liberator knew he was right but couldn't resist seeing the look on the soldier's faces. Their jaws were agape what they saw was just a mere taste of power armor abilities. Then again power armor was always awe-inspiring or fear-inducing depending on whose side you were on. They headed for the shuttle Liberator got out then sprinted for tools and other materials. He scavenged wonderglue more tools and scrap metal from the Red Rocket. Liberator showed the soldiers how to take apart the power armor station. The materials weren't enough but rather samples for the Cornerians.

The shuttle was pretty cramped with everything and everyone accounted for. Now they are in for an uncomfortable trip back to Corneria.

Meanwhile at the Spaniels Evan got very depressed he was only seventeen years old yet his life may end soon in the long run five years with chemotherapy and in the short run a few months. On the other hand, he could become a ghoul he had nothing against them his General is a ghoul after all the main thing he was scared of was the chance of becoming feral if the ghoulifcation process went wrong or if instead of becoming a ghoul die of radiation poising since not everyone had the genes to become a ghoul.

Everyone did their best to comfort him.

Evan then spoke up "You know whether I live or die I just want to say thank you for saving us the Cornerians are wonderful people you could have left us Minutemen to die but you didn't and came to our rescue."

Fox replied, "Well you should thank Cody he was the one who sent the call."

Cody just stayed silent embarrassed.

Miyu then said, "How about we go out on the town I can get Fara and Katt to join us?"

Falco then put his arm on Evan's shoulder gave him a look of pure empathy and said: "Good luck Evan you hanging out with the wildest women on Corneria have fun."

Mrs. Spaniel spoke up "Before you head out, we haven't properly introduced ourselves I am Chara Spaniel and this is my husband, Duke Spaniel."

Evan shook their paws "Evan Johnston."

Chara then replied, "Now before you think of going anywhere, we need to get to the hospital and get you tested to verify how bad it is."

Evan was terrified but agreed to go to the hospital.

Evan spoke up "I know people think it's a red flag to carry a weapon in a hospital here but back in the Commonwealth leaving your weapon behind is a death wish."

Fay replied, "Well this is Corneria, not the Commonwealth."

Evan answered, "You will be whistling a different tune when you need your blaster by your side."

Fay's paw grabbed his hand "Look I'll be there every step of the way I promise."

Evan just nodded "Okay I'll go thank you, Fay, thank you."

Cody joined them on their walk to the hospital and promised he would hold Evan's weapons while standing guard. Fay and Miyu left their blasters on the Great Fox to prove Corneria was safe. As they walked and chatted poor Evan learned how much of a chatterbox Fay is. However, he enjoyed it her bubbly disposition cheered him greatly something is loving and pure about Fay something he wished to protect with his life. Miyu noticed this about him during the walk he had a very protective disposition over Fay constantly looking for threats and on constant high alert.

They reached the hospital a few minutes later. Evan handed his Luty and double barrel to Cody along with the magazines and shells. As Cody stood watch the guards became sickened by his presence as the smell of burnt flesh sweat and rancid blood oozed off his usual garb. The guards, however, were used to it they have seen and smelled worse those Venomians were downright evil in the way they fought war may be hell but the Venomians always made it personal.

He was soon asked to leave but refused stating his promise so they left him be on Pepper's orders. At the hospital, the wolfess walked in. She then performed a biopsy and inserted a very thin hollow needle into him and extracted a tissue sample. Evan shook confessing his fear of needles. Fay's paw again grabbed his hand while she gave a comforting smile. He winced at the pain as the wolfess took a sample for testing. She then said, "By the way my name is Vera Eclipse."

"Now this may take more time than usual as we are still studying human D.N.A. and this is the first time we studied human cancer cells."

A few hours later...

"Okay, Evan the good news is we may be able to treat it. The bad news is it's very aggressive much more than any we have seen due to you being from a death world full of radiation your D.N.A. is very damaged and you're more likely to get tumors and cancer. The bad news is your cells reacted very aggressively to the medicine, in fact, it only made the cancer cells worse in the sample we took but if we can buy you time, we can create cures for human cancer even Commonwealth variants. However, it might be a few months to years."

Just then Liberator and Sturges walked in with the T-45 Power Armor. Liberator beamed a large smile "What do you think of your tin can?" "It's a tetanus hazard" replied Vera.

Liberator responded, "I wasn't asking you, ma'am."

Evan looked with amazement this armor is now his. Liberator asked several Cornerian engineers along with Pepper to join them he wanted to gift them the technology of power armor.

Pepper was shocked, "You want to gift us something so powerful"?

Liberator replied, "Of course, it's the least I can do you saved our lives out there and this is the best way I can repay you most of all you saved Cody besides I figured a trade deal you help us with panning and expertise in exchange I can gift you more pre-war relics sure they are antiquated but your engineers sure are fascinated."

Liberator and Sturges got to work taking the T-45 down to the last nut and bolt. As they took it apart the C.D.F. engineers began drawing the schematics and will learn to make their own. It will be thanks to Liberator and his knowledge that the C.D.F. will design the ultimate power armor against the Venomian Empire. The next steps were repairing the damage and removing the rust. The Cornerians gave them a chemical solution that stripped rust off in record time while leaving the metal underneath unharmed.

Liberator decided to use navy blue paint and use white paint for the Minutemen emblem on the chest plate. They replaced the dry-rotted rebreather hoses and filters refurbished the visor and overhauled the servos and armor. Liberator also installed the injectors a total of three. One for stimpack one for chemo and one for Med-X. With C.D.F.'s help, they restored it in just two hours. Pretty quick since it was setting up for 210 years. Using all the materials given to them by the Cornerians, they upgraded the armor underneath by adding more layers and composites. They also upgraded the frame with scanners and computers to keep Evan's cancer in check. Most of all they replaced the fusion cell system with a hydrogen cell one that could last up to ten years.

Liberator knew these chemo vials in his possession were never released publicly for good reason as even if the treatment was more effective these prototypes were more dangerous and wrecked all hell on the body even worse than the normal chemo. He had little choice though until the Cornerians could come up with their own treatment.

The C.D.F. has since commissioned its own power armor prototypes. Evan's is classed as T-45 MC the MC meaning Minutemen Cornerian. They got it ready and rolled into Evan's room. Evan's eyes went wider than ever it was beautiful the rust gone now painted navy blue and the Minutemen emblem proudly adorned on the chest plate. Evan walked to the armor as Liberator pulled out three needles. Evan's smile vanished "It just had to have needles." They gave Evan newly made under armor. Once Evan got dressed Liberator helped him into the armor while Vera inserted the needles.

The armor closed around him in its embrace. It made a pressurization sound as the air filtration system went online. Liberator said, "Ok take it easy I'll teach you how to use it you must work with the armor not against it." Training began at first it was clumsy and awkward in a couple of minutes he got the hang of it mostly he still was a bit clumsy. Liberator requested to speak to Pepper to give Evan a trial run. They decided to put him through the training grounds to save ammo on the M134 they gave him a rotary blaster to train with. Everyone went and watched Fara and her family watched being part of the military-industrial complex they also wanted to see if this power armor was worth it. Also, Fay invited Katt.

They looked as Evan tore his way through the grounds every drone and dummy sent was shredded as the training bolts did nothing to the armor. Captain Shears was furious that Pepper introduced a species from outside the Lylat system worse yet a death world.

"Those nasty mutants how dare Pepper think they are on an equal level to us as beings those humans and ghouls are nothing more than dangerous mutants that need to be exterminated."

Shears turned the droids and turrets to security mode those light-yellow training bolts quickly turned to a lethal dark blue. The T-45 MC held its own for a little bit but soon more powerful burst erupted from the turrets and droids. They punched through the outer shell like a knife through butter. One bolt hit Evan in the gut. He activated the stimpack and med-x slowing the bleeding and greatly reducing the pain. The inner composite armor saved his life as the bolts punched through the hardened steel.

"THIS IS WHY YOU STAY ARMED AT ALL TIMES NOW GET BEHIND ME!"

Evan got hit several more times as he protected those unarmed soon the other Minutemen charged in Luty SMGS chattering laser muskets booming and molotovs crashing. Cody wanted to help but Krystal held him tightly in her arms refusing to let him get killed. Cody wanted to break free but again Krystal's powers were too strong he wanted to struggle to move but he couldn't. He started to panic inside. Krystal comforted him assuring him that she is there for him. She used her staff and created a large shield around them.

Liberator charged in his T-51F grabbed the M134 and mowed the droids down. The minigun spun up then BRRRRAAART to the Cornerians the noise was deafening it was far louder than any blaster. Liberator's armor being made of poly-laminate composite along with the silver ablative coating held up much better shrugging off bolts like nothing Pepper finally managed the get the droids and turrets shutdown Shears had the shutdown codes changed he wanted Evan dead.

Liberator let out a ghoulish growl and sprinted after Shears. Shears tried to get away but was stopped by the guards. Although Liberator wanted to slay Shears where he stood, he knew it would only bring trouble and thus had to leave him to the Cornerian justice system. The good news is all of it was caught on camera. The Ghoul General accepted their apologies but requested that Shears be very far away from any Minutemen presence and warned them that if Shears causes one of his men to perish, he will kill Shears in kind. The guards calmly dragged Shears away to be trialed. While that was going on the fire prevention system went off getting everyone soaking wet. Of course, old blood stained the floor, and Krystal's arms running off Cody's cloak and uniform. He shouted "SORRY!"

Both groups got some towels when the fires from the molotovs were put out while a cleaning drone swept up the glass. Krystal went to the restroom to wash the blood off her arms. She thought of Cody and how she could help him. She washed the blood off and finished up. When she opened the door Evan was out of his armor as medics tended to the wound in his belly. The wound was nasty that charged bolt shattered the hardened steel plate and then punched through the frame itself finally landing in Evan's belly. The flesh looked nothing like a laser wound. A wound from a pre-war laser rifle or pistol left a hole that was cauterized. This wound looked like it exploded.

Fox explained "When a blaster bolt hits flesh it explodes boiling away blood and other fluids and vaporizes some of the flesh in the area. If either of you didn't have power armor you both would have been dead a hundred times over. Fortunately, on Corneria we have treatments that regenerate the lost tissue."

In turn, Liberator gave them a rundown on pre-war laser weapons and that without proper protection they are very lethal, especially with overcharged microfusion cells. He reached into his old U.S. Army rucksack and pulled out an AER9 Laser Rifle. "This baby has been through Anchorage with me."

"What is Anchorage?" Asked Fay. Liberator answered "Well I served in Anchorage Alaska during the Sino-American war. I lied about my age and joined the U.S. Army when I was sixteen years old. I led the Liberation of Anchorage and freed my fellow Americans from the Chinese slave camps. I fought in Anchorage for two years eventually on January 10th, 2077 we won Anchorage. News spread of my battles and I earned the name The Liberator of Anchorage or for short The Liberator. Eventually, the name stuck and I embraced it. Although I was born and raised in Texas, I was stationed at Fort Independence after the battle. My real name however is George Hood Washington."

Krystal spoke, "He's telling the truth but he forgot to mention he won the Congressional Medal of Honor."

This reminded Liberator he reached back into his rucksack and pulled out his Medal of Honor. It was well preserved almost mint. "Now the Medal of Honor is the highest medal one could receive in the U.S Military. Now let's head back to casa Spaniel and rest I'm ready to get some sleep."

Fay asked once more "What does casa mean?"

Liberator facepalmed and gritted his teeth. "Ugh hell I thought the felines would ask all the questions but instead it's the spaniel..."

He then sighed "It means house in Spanish."

"One last question," said Fay.

Liberator ground his teeth further "What is it? No offense but I'm tired and need rest plus I'm still pissed about Evan nearly getting killed believe me if I had my way Shear's head would be served to me on a silver platter."

Fay said, "How long ago was the Sino-American war?"

Liberator said "210 years ago I was born February the 12th 2059 I'm 228 years old. One last thing I'm a ghoul in terms of age we are immortal nor do we need food but we do need sleep at times."

Those who didn't know his true age until now their jaws dropped an ancient relic of war has been with them the whole time.

"Now no more questions until Tomorrow and Krystal make sure Cody gets goodnight's rest he's going to need it."

Krystal nodded and picked Cody up as she called her arwing in. The fighter touched down. The canopy opened as she climbed in with Cody in her arms. Everyone else either went back home or to the Spaniels. The Minutemen were bloodied and exhausted although none of them died many were injured. Thus, they stayed at the hospital to get their blaster wounds treated. When Evan got back, he was so tired that he left his guns in a corner and fell fast asleep on the sofa. Fay put his guns safely away and put a blanket over him. Liberator fell asleep on the recliner with his flask still in hand.

On the Great Fox Krystal gave Cody another bath wrapped him in her pink robe and headed for bed. As she pulled the covers over, she wrapped her arms and tail around him keeping him close. Fox just smiled and snickered "He's a little badass on the battlefield but in Krystal's paws he's nothing but putty." Fox kissed Krystal goodnight and went to bed.
