Alandra: And as usual, KOF doesn't belong to us, it's a very cool awesome video game made by the SNK. And to celebrate the release of KOF XV we make a story about Shun´ei and Isla.
Air Jay: and sadly, it is not a lemon story
Alandra: SHUT UP AIR JAY!
Air Jay: You just miss saying that, right?
Maliska: So let's go on with the story.
Chapter 2
The first rays of sunshine rises, assaulting the penthouse. The soft warm of daylight hits Isla's face. She slowly gets up and walks to the window, once she opens it she feel the air of the ocean embracing her face. "Such a lovely morning, huh Amanda?"
Amanda replies with thumbs up.
Isla stares back to the horizon, directly to the sight of the ocean. She marvels how much her life changed ever since she laid eyes on Shun'ei. At first Isla felt nothing but resentment towards him, one of the main reasons why she wanted to participate in the KOF. Isla wanted to put the hurt on Shun'ei but during the tournament she gained the acceptance and praises of many of the fighters, like Kyo Kusanagi, Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui and many others. Isla even became good friends with the famous singer Athena Asamiya and the karate instructor Yuri Sakazaki. Isla gained what Shun'ei gained in the last tournament.
Heidren and Dolores practically used her as a pawn to investigate Reverse and the tales that Dolores always heard about, still they look out for her and even gave her advice even if she didn't trust them, one of the main reasons why she insisted in being the leader of the team, even so they look out for her after Reverse got out of her boy. Heidren even offer Isla a place in the Ikari warriors but she rejected due to her past experience in the orphanage, but Isla feels that they are nothing like the staff of the orphanage, they might be soldiers and take orders but they look out for each other. In their departure, Heidren and Dolores assured that if Isla ever needs their assistance then their door will always be open for her. Isla is not ready to let anyone in her circle of trust, not yet. Strangely as it seems, Heidren and Dolores became the closest thing Isla ever had for parents. With Reverse and Otoma=Raga aside, Isla actually had a good time in the King of Fighters.
Moments later Isla gets out of the room, all dressed for the beach. "Wake up slowpokes! It's beach time!"
"Ok, ok...take it easy..." Shun'ei replied with a sleepy tone.
"I just didn't get enough sleep last night..."
"Alright then. Wake up sleepyhead!" Isla shouted knocking at Meitenkun's room. "It's time for the beach!"
"I can tell there won't be a moments rest with this girl..." Shun'ei thought.
The three teens arrive to the beach with a lot of people having fun, playing sports, swimming in the ocean and surfing.
"Wow, it's like there is more people in the beach than in the city." Meitenkun said as he looked everywhere.
"Indeed." Shun'ei agreed.
Both Shun'ei and Meitenkun are wearing swim shorts and Hawaiian shirts, they didn't want to use their usual gears because they didn't wanted to feel separated from the rest of the people, and their usual cloths are normally hot in a tropical environment.
"Well, what are you dimwits waiting for? Let's move!" Isla shouted from behind the boys.
Shun'ei turns around and blushes when he saw Isla. Isla is wearing a white bikini and holding a surfboard. Shun'ei could feel his body heating up with the mere form of Isla's near naked body. He could not find the words to describe how beautiful Isla is looking right now.
Isla could not help but to blush as well with the way Shun is staring at her. "What is it?"
"Isla... you... you..."
"W-what?"
"You...you look..."
"Y-yeah?"
"You look...like a girl!"
Isla immediately punches Shun'ei in the face, sending down to the ground. "In case you haven't realised, you moron, I AM A GIRL!"
"Why did you say that?" Meitenkun asked.
"I don't know... I just blocked, I didn't know what to say." Shun'ei replied as he rubbed his face.
"Well anyway, I'm off to catch some waves!" Isla said as she regained her composure. "I rented this surfboard and now Amanda and I are gonna try this out."
"Try this out?" Shun'ei repeated as he got up. "Are you telling me you never surfed before?"
"That's right!"
"What? How reckless! You are gonna try surfing when you have no experience on it? Infact, do you even know how to swim?"
"Nope. It's not like I can do that in the big city. Besides, I know how to ride a skateboard just fine. How different can it be from surfing?"
"I believe there is a big difference! Especially since you can't swim!"
"Well, no one ask you. Bye, bye." Isla left before Shun could say anything.
"I have a bad feeling about this."
In that moment Isla enters the water with her surfboard, unknown to her and to the others that they are being watched by a man who is taking pictures of them. "Who ever thought those two would be here. I'm sure the boss will be interested in this."
Isla screams in delight as moves around the waves, with Amanda assisting her in getting the balance. Isla moves around and around the waves as a professional. "This is great! Right Amanda?"
Shun'ei and Meitenkun watches Isla from the shore amazed by her performance.
"Amazing, it's like Isla-san has done this all her life. Right?" Meitenkun asked but Shun'ei did not respond, he simply stares at Isla.
"Now there is a happy face." Shun'ei thought. "That smile suits you Isla, better than the livid gaze you once pointed at me."
Shun'ei remembers when he saw Isla fight for the first time, she also has the ghost hands, or as Dolores calls it the Amplified Specters. Isla could control her powers very well, and even treats her ghost hands as a person, when you fight Isla is almost like fighting two fighters at once. At first Shun believed that he was the only one who had such power, but he was wrong, Isla is just like him and she can organize her power in a dissimilar stage that Shun'ei could never achieve in his present position. At first it was a shock for Shun and at the same time a disgrace, however it encouraged him. It made Shun realise that maybe Isla was correct, he was depending too much on others and that is why he could not walk accurately with his own two legs. He wanted to be a strong fighter like Kyo Kusanagi and control his power to use it to protect the ones he cares for.
Shun's thoughts were interrupted when he hears the surfers yelling "SHARK!"
"What?" Shun'ei immediately got up to his feet when he hears the word shark.
"Shark? Isn't that those huge man-eating fishes?" Meitenkun asked in concern.
"ISLA! GET OUT OF THERE!" Shun'ei shouted.
Isla moves as fast as she can to reach land, she never thought that her first day in the beach would happen like this. She manages to look back and sees that the fin of the shark in the distance. Isla then notices another surfer with a scared expression on his face, trying to escape the shark as well.
The surfer notices Isla and slaps her on the face, making her fall into the water.
"ISLA!" Shun'ei wastes no more time and jumps into the water, swimming towards Isla.
Shun'ei then dives into the water and uses his ghost hands to swim rapidly towards Isla. When he reached her Shun'ei notices that Isla is out cold and Amanda is desperately trying to move Isla away from the shark.
Still, the shark managed to reach down to Isla and starts to circle her prey, savouring the meal to come.
Shun'ei realises that he will never reach Isla in time to save her, however, he knows how to attract them. Shun immediately cuts his arm with his right ghost hand, letting the blood spread away.
From what Shun'ei learn from Heidren and his Ikari squad who had some encounters with sharks in several of their missions, sharks are attracted by blood, it's an instinct they cannot surpass.
And it work, the shark felt the scent of Shun'ei's blood and runs directly towards him, leaving Isla alone.
"That is it, come closer!" Shun'ei though as he saw the shark swimming towards him at full speed.
As soon as the shark was just two feats away Shun'ei punches him with his left ghost hand. The attack was strong enough to send the shark away for miles. "YES!"
Shun'ei wastes no more time and grabs Isla and moves her out of the water to finally catch some air. "Isla, are you alright?"
Isla does not respond. "Isla? Hey, c'mon?"
In that moment a boat with Life Guards in it approach Shun'ei and Isla and pulls them into the boat. Seeing that Isla swallow a lot of water in her lungs the life guards gave her CPR, it took a while but Isla managed to remove the water out. As for Shun'ei, the Life Guards wrapped his arm with bandages to stop the bleeding.
Shun'ei and Isla managed to return back safely, but the beach had to be closed down until the shark could be found. Shun'ei could tell them that he already taken care of the shark but he did not to explain everything to them without risking destroying their peaceful weekend.
However Shun'ei wished that he could find the surfer who risked Isla's life to save his own.
"Are you alright, Isla-san?" Meitenkun asked as he, Isla and Shun'ei walk back home.
"I'll be alright, I just wished I could get my hands on that S.O.B. who knocked me into the water and ruined my day. I want to clobber him so bad."
"I clearly understand you." Shun'ei exclaimed. "But you need to relax first. You've been through some knotty happenings."
Isla glared at him. "What are you talking about? You say I'm some weakling?"
"No, no!" Shun immediately replied as he backed away. He knows that look in Isla's face, it's the same one she gave him last night when he wanted to watch Titanic. He could not understand why Isla is acting like this.
"You better! The last thing I want is for someone to treat me like I'm some damsel in distress trapped in a castle! You got that?" Isla demanded as she continues to force Shun'ei to walk back.
"Yes, yes! I understAAAAGH!" Shun'ei cried when he accidently hit his left arm against a lamp post, the same one where he cut his arm to save Isla.
Only now that Isla notices the bandage on Shun'ei's arm.
"Shun-chan!" Meitenkun cried as he went to check on his friends.
"I'm alright, Meiten." Shun'ei assured as he holds on to his arm.
"W-what happen to you, Shun'ei?" Isla finally asks.
"Don't you know what happen?" Meiten replies back. "When you fell on the water Shun'ei immediately went to the ocean to save you. He cut his own arm to lure the shark to him. He risked his own life to save yours."
The news hits Isla like a sword stabbing one's heart. No one has ever risked their lives for her, and Shun'ei did it, not once but twice. And as a reward for his kindness Isla yells at Shun'ei instead of thanking him.
Back at South town, In Geese's tower, Billy walks down to the corridor directly to his masters office.
"I'm here, sir." Billy announced as he knocked on the door.
"Come in."
The former King of Fighters champion enters the office to see Geese smoking of his cigars. "You wanted to see me, boss?"
"Yes, watch this." Geese opens his laptop and shows pictures of Shun'ei and Isla to Billy. "Our agents in Hawaii informed that these two are there. You recognize them?"
"Yes sir. It's Tung's latest student and that street girl from Chile. They were the ones who defeated those two powerful entities."
"Correct. I want you to call Carvalo and send him to Hawaii. Tell him to kill those two kids as soon as he arrives."
"Yes sir. Are you sure Carvalo will be up to the task?"
"The crime lords of today are too depended on weapons and technology. Me...heh, I'm very old school. I'd rather to use people with exceptional abilities. You can say that this is a perfect occasion to test Carvalo's skills."
"As you command sir."
The hours pass, Isla, Shun'ei and Meitenkun had their dinner, watched another movie and then prepared to go to bed. Meitenkun is already sleeping in his bed and Shun prepared the couch to sleep in.
Isla notices this and realises that sleeping on that couch will not do him any good with his arm in the condition it is now. "Hey, Shun'ei..."
"Yes?"
"If... if you want..." Isla turns her face the other way so that Shun'ei could not see her blush. "If you want, you can sleep with me."
"What?!" Shun nearly cried. "You, you want what?"
"You can sleep with me. Your arm is not in perfect condition and the bed is large enough for you to sleep in." Isla tried to sound as convincing as possible.
Shun'ei's heart did not stop beating rapidly. Never in his life had he shared a bed with a girl. "W-well... I... You don't need to do this... I...
"You saved my life today."Isla immediately interrupted. "This is the least I can do."
Shun'ei noticed that Isla is a bit uncomfortable with the idea herself. She is obviously doing this as a sense of obligation. "Listen... if you are uncomfortable with this I..."
Shun never finished his sentence because Isla grab him by the collar and force him to look directly at her menacing eyes. "I said: GET TO BED!"
"Y-Y-Yes madam..."
Both of them got into the large bed, which is large enough to fit at least three or four people. They lay down with their back turn at each other. Their hearts beating rapidly.
"G-good night, Shun..." Isla spoke.
"G-good night." Shun'ei replied.
"And... Thank you for saving my life again."
"You're welcome." Shun replied, this time with a more tender and relaxed tone.
"Why am I doing this?" Isla thought nervously. "Is it because Shun'ei saved me today and back on the tournament? Or... is it because Shun'ei is becoming something else to me?"
