Immunity Challenge

Day 33

Behind Jeff, are seven triangular platforms in the water. One of the structures is a smaller one so Dee can actually participate. Get ready for another balancing act, because it's time for: Bermuda Triangles.

"Come on in!"

The final seven enter the challenge area, Gordon with the immunity necklace around his neck.

"Gordon, I'll be taking that back." The chef unhooks the necklace and hands it over. "Thanks." Jeff says, hooking the necklace back onto the stand. Another day, another challenge, who's taking that necklace back to camp this time?

"Immunity is back up for grabs. For today's challenge, you're going to balance on triangular platforms, in the water, with your feet perched on narrow footholds. At regular intervals, you will move up, making it more difficult. If you fall off, you're out of the challenge. Last person left standing wins immunity, safe from the vote. Losers? Still vulnerable, and one of you will be the next person sent to the jury." Jeff explains.

To clear it up, there are two footholds at the side, and one slim one at the top. So when "first/second/final interval" pops up onscreen, that's what it means.

"Draw for spots, then we'll get started."

The seven castaways are on their triangle.

"Alright, here we go! Everybody take your positions! Your feet are gonna be on that first foothold." Jeff orders, and the seven get on that. "Here we go.."

"5."

"4."

"3."

"2."

"1."

"Everybody up, and this challenge is on."

Starting out, nobody has much trouble. Even Bandana Dee on his smaller structure.

"Rules are simple: no other part of your body can touch the structure other than your legs. That means your hands, your butt, any part of that touches, you're out. This interval's for 15 minutes." Jeff explains, drilling the rules into them.

It's peaceful. Nothing can be heard except the sound of the water below. The pain hasn't quite set in yet.

Nothing really happens for the first fifteen minutes,

Elapsed time: 15 Minutes

So far, nobody's out. Balancing without having to worry about a ball does wonders. The second foothold won't do wonders for some.

"Move in to the next foothold, you can use your hands to help you get up there. Everybody get good and solid. Here we go…"

"5."

"4."

"3."

"2."

"1."

"Everybody take your hands off, this challenge is back on."

Some people clinch their toes.

"Now you're gonna have to hold on tightly, with less room for your foot."

Gordon teeters a bit, Dee and Blu start to look uncomfortable too.

"Some of you look pretty good, others are feeling the pressure. Probably skipped feet day."

You didn't have to do them like that, Jeff.

"Some may be in pain, but in fifteen minutes it's about to get worse.."

As time passes, the seven are still on their triangle. No drops yet. If this was the Samoa cast, three people would've dropped already.

Elapsed Time: 30 Minutes

The seven are still hanging on, but half of them are breathing heavier, and Dee closes his eyes to take the pain away.

"We're about to move to the top. When you don't have to multitask, you are doing good. Better than some I've seen before you."

They are doing great, but the top part is usually where people start to fall.

"Alright we're gonna move to the top now, you can use your hands. We're still live though, if you fall off at this point, you're out."

As people try to position themselves, Jeff scares them even more. "You've got fifteen seconds to start making your moves."

Some people have a simpler time, like Matt and Li Mei. Others like Sonic, Kabal, and even Gordon have a little difficulty, and then players like Dee, and Blu can't seem to find their footing.

"5."

"4."

"3."

"2."

"1."

"Everybody up!"

Dee still hasn't gotten his footing and is out! Blu gets one foot up top, but teeters too much and jumps into the water!

"Two are out already, we are down to five."

The five are up, and Jeff takes the time to praise them. Well, most of them.

"There are four immunity winners up here: Sonic, Kabal, Li Mei, and Gordon. Matt's the only one who hasn't had the necklace yet."

The Mii doesn't let that comment distract him. But he's still struggling, like everyone else because the final five aren't close to steady as before. There's teetering all around. It looks like people are about to drop like flies.

Gordon drops.

Li Mei drops.

.

.

Kabal tries his best, but he drops too!

"Come on!" Sonic exclaims. "I wanted to face off again."

"Better luck next time." Kabal says, swimming over to where the losers are.

"Three are out already! We are down to two: Matt versus Sonic. Will Matt finally win immunity, after coming in second so many times? Or will Sonic claim the necklace for a second time?"

Both totter all over the place, but only could come out on top.

.

.

.

Because Matt feels himself slipping and jumps off!

"SONIC WINS INDIVIDUAL IMMUNITY!"

The hedgehog dives into the water, and swims back to base. Once there, Jeff wraps the immunity necklace around him once again. Matt wipes some water off his face, a runner up for what..a fourth time?

First it was against Kabal. Then it was against Li Mei. Then it was against Gordon. NOW it's against Sonic. What a haunting track record.

"Congratulations Sonic, you are safe once again, cannot be voted out. As for the rest of you, you're still vulnerable. One of you WILL be voted out of this game, and sent to the jury." Jeff warns. "Head back to camp, I'll see you tonight."

The seven castaways leave the challenge area, and a Matt confessional airs after his loss.

Matt: I'm flopping out here. Back on Wuhu I'm used to being the best, but these people are on a different level. Now I've gotta fight for my life tonight, cause since Sonic's immune they'll be coming for ME. Man, I gotta pick up the pace sooner or later, or I'll follow him out the door.

Merged Tribe

Day 33

Bandana Dee, Blu, Gordon, Kabal, Li Mei, Matt, and Sonic

The seven castaways arrive back at camp, Sonic with the immunity necklace on. He of course, gets his props.

"Second one, huh?"

"You're a beast."

"Nice…"

Guess who was who.

"Hehe, it was a tough one." Sonic says, trying to hold that cockiness back. He has been, and always will be a target going forward, so winning immunity is crucial to him. Especially since he has something else up his sleeve.

But before that's shown, a Dee confession pops up.

Bandana Dee: So Gordon wants to split Matt and Sonic up, and since Sonic's safe you think that we would just vote for Matt. What i had to tell him about um..made things harder.

More on THAT later. The Roku side's getting more screentime.

A little while later after he's congratulated, Sonic takes Matt to the woods, and they're walking alone, but there's a REALLY specific reason for that that the Mii may like.

"Here's the deal bud: I've got a little somethin' somethin'." Sonic says, digging into his bag…

.

.

.

He pulls out the immunity idol! Matt's brows shoot up.

"Yo…how long'd that take you?"

"Got it right before the challenge! They hide these in the weirdest places, I swear. Hope their mom takes it well."

Matt crosses his arms. "Wha—you know what, I'll let it slide. You already know what we have to do with that."

Sonic hits him with a smile. "Hope Blu doesn't feel left out, but if I'm safe they're going for you. It's obvious!"

Matt: That hedgehog just bailed. Me. Out. Didn't need to call me "bud", I'm not his kid. If anything he's MINE. But who cares about that, once we send Gordon out, we'll go all out on everyone else.

The Mii spots Blu walking towards them, and waves to her. "Hi Blu."

"Hi Matt, are we talking about Gordon again?"

"It's never gonna end 'till he's gone."

Sonic: It's clear as day that they'll switch to Matt, so I don't have a reason to tell her about the idol…yeah I'm lying to her, i feel a little guilty… but she doesn't know so it's ok!

Thumbs up.

Blu: After the Kristine stuff, I didn't know if anyone would trust me..but I'm so so SO happy that these guys are honest with me! Roku Three until the end!

The Roku Three have a little more work to do, as they being Kabal and Mei over.

"Are you guys ok sticking with us again?" The Yoshi asks.

"After the spa? No chance we leave you." Kabal says, lying through his teeth.

"Gordon is an obvious threat, he's had votes from the final ten onward. If he gets to the end despite the adversity, the jury will hand him the million dollars. There are no 'ifs' about it." Li Mei adds.

"Cool guy, but he's got too much going against him. That torch needs to go out to-night." Matt declares, like a really polite war general.

Matt: If those two can't hang, Sonic's playing it on me. That's just the facts. We said all we can say about those Fatu, and it's up to our swings if they want to turn around and stab us..or take out that chef once and for all.

Gordon and Dee meet up with Kabal and Mei, and it's a busy day for them. After their reward with Dee, Sonic was a target, and now? He's off the table.

Gordon throws Matt onto it.

"Matt. We have to do him. Having those two at six? They can pull a Black Dragon." Gordon states, making his vote obvious. He's well aware of the "Immunity Idol" plan.

"I'm not complaining. You want Matt, we do Matt." Kabal responds.

"WAIT." All eyes are on Dee. "They can still pull a Black Dragon NOW. Remember what happened to Toriel?"

"That was a 4-3 vote too…"

"Exactly…we're not making you a punching bag Kabal, it's just that…you have a reputation." Dee clarifies.

"Rather have a reputation that go out like a nobody." Oh Kabal, not scared to be a big player.

"Yeah. If Sonic plays it on Matt, our four votes don't count, and they have a free shot at you." This waddle Dee is cooking. "We should rethink it."

"So…Blu?" Gordon asks. "With all due respect, she's not a threat. If there's a chance to take Matt out, we may have to do it now. If we can't split them up we're done."

Kabal, under the mask, rolls his eyes. But he'll hear him out, even if he's heard it time and time again,

"What if it doesn't work? Please don't get tunnel vision, we have to do SOMETHING. If we have to blindside Blu…we should do it."

"Ehhh…" Not much interest from the chef, but he's not the only one deciding.

Can Fatu read the idol correctly and weaken the powerful trio? Can they ACTUALLY take one out? Or will the hedgehog play it right, and say the day for Roku?

Don't know, but first our swings have to talk things out.

Kabal and Li Mei break it down.

"Gordon's repeated it a million times: Matt and Sonic are threats. What a surprise, didn't see that coming." Kabal points out. "Taking one out just makes them easy pickings."

"It would make these challenges easier as well. If we want a even chance to win, then we have to be the final two. Everyone else will have some equity in front of a jury."

"Yeah..Gordon does. We could vote him out here and then risk it all in a tiebreaker. Risks don't scare me." Kabal admits. "He was real stubborn about the plan too. It's a miracle we actually decided what to do. The other two wouldn't give us the trouble."

"Then again, they could dominate the game if we do not make a move. Gordon's stubbornness will be an obstacle, but i understand where he's coming from. The idol could go to either ally at the end of the night." Li Mei says, defending the chef.

"We've gotta claw our way to the end either way. Too many threats around.."

The path they go is a secret too, all for suspense.

Li Mei: After our discussion, I'm confident we've done what is best for our games. Regardless of personalities, or challenge strength.

An idol AND swing votes. A lot going on coming into this..

Tribal Council

Night 33

The seven castaways enter to seven stumps, a fire pit in front of it, and Jeff Probst standing there with his hands behind his back. They light their torches.

"In this game, fire represents your life. When it's gone, so are you.."

They take a seat, and look at the empty jury bench across from them. "Before we begin, please welcome the members of the jury. Tremor.." the clans enforcer enters, with a blank look on his face. "Little Mac…" the boxer enters in a black tank top with green shorts. "Kano…" The villain enters, with a black t shirt on. "And the newest member of our jury, Luigi.."

The Mario Brother enters, and Dee waves at him. Luigi waves back, and takes his seat.

"You've got fans." Mac says.

"Yep!" Luigi says, but that's all he can say because jurors aren't really allowed to talk to anyone except for those on the bench. Even then, they have to whisper.

Once they're all seated, Tribal Council's set to begin,

"Alright." Jeff opens. "Here we are again. Sonic's still here, Gordon's still here, and you two are going at it once again. The last time, Gordon had immunity, now Sonic YOU have immunity. How does it feel to wear that necklace, knowing you have a 1 in 2 shot at going home?"

"It's great, until this guy tries it again." Sonic responds, gesturing to the chef.

"I'm always going to try it again. You came for me first, I strike back. Simple." Gordon hits back.

"We're the two everyones looking at. Once one of us goes, they'll kick out the other. Can't you focus on voting out JEFF or something?" The hedgehog asks, and gets some laughs from the cast.

"Jeff hasn't been on my $$ since we swapped." That chef finds no humor in their situation. "Hate to be a buzzkill, but you can't deflect me. Everyone's better off keeping me here than letting you and your butt Buddy get to the end."

Matt tilts his head. "Butt bud—bro."

"It's the truth. When have you two turned on each other? Have either of you even thought about betraying the other?" Gordon questions.

"No, and even if we are, we're not telling everyone because we don't HAVE to." Matt snaps back. "I get you wanna stir the pot, but we've said all we can at this point. A threat's going home tonight. Period."

"I'm not sorry for campaigning. You two aren't walking all over everyone as long as I'm here." Gordon says.

"You aren't getting to the end as long as I'M here. You've gotten away four times man, if you make it a fifth we won't be able to stop you." Matt hits back.

"ALRIGHT," Jeff cuts in. "So it's looking like Matt versus Gordon tonight. Blu, Dee your allies lives are on the line. Do you two have ANY other defense for them?"

The waddle dee speaks first. "I can just say that Gordon's not somebody who's going on an immunity run."

"Blu?"

"Immunities don't matter. Gordon has the jury."

That only frustrates the Chet more.

"WHAT?" Gordon asks, all eyes on him. "I won't f*cking make it there and you think I'm more threatening than the supermen who do good EVERY time? You've got a rose tinted tongue."

"Are you ok Gordon? Don't be mad I'm just defending my friends…"

"Defending the people who would beat you."

On the bench, Kano smirks while Mac doesn't get it. "He's popping off..usually he's calm."

"He's probably just had-a nuff." Luigi says.

"He is frustrated, and Blu's response did her no favors. I see where he's coming from." Tremor cuts in.

Jeff speaks up again after Gordon's harsh words. "For someone who's a jury threat, you are not managing Blu well."

"Saying immunities don't matter is absurd. Metal Sonic had it won last time, but he gave up immunity to Doof and he won instead. But someone could STILL be a Metal and run to the end. You can still win out." Gordon explains. "If Matt or Sonic win, it's because they win out, and they CAN do that at six! They have the numbers! So why not cut one off right now?"

Gordon's throwing it all out. But that callback to a former season is true. In 'Samoa', Metal Sonic made smart moves the whole season, and thought he could beat his challenge, Doctor Doofenschmirtz, to keep immunity AND solidify the votes.

But that didn't work. Matt and Sonic won't make that mistake if they get to the final four.

"I've been having a hard time winning any immunities too." Matt says. "Doesn't mean I should be the one going home."

"What happens happens." Gordon responds, and there's a few seconds of silence. However, Jeff hasn't spoken to two people yet: Li Mei and Kabal.

"Li Mei, Gordon is pitching his heart out right now, and the message is clear: let's flip the game. Do you think it's smart to do that now? Or is it better wait later?" Jeff asks.

"You will find our answer after the votes are read." Short, simple, and to the point.

"Kabal? Anything to say?" Jeff asks.

"I'm not spoiling anything. Let's vote."

The swings aren't dropping anything new, so Jeff's ready to move on from this chat.

"Alright. It is time to vote. Matt, you're up first."

The Mii heads to the voting booth.

Matt: You're a fighter. But if you think I'm getting votes, it's over for you. (Gordon)

Gordon: I'll work overtime to split you up. Hope your boy doesn't have that idol. (Matt)

After the votes are cast, the castaways get seated yet again, awaiting the vote count. They know what's coming next. "I'll tally the votes." Jeff says, leaving the castaways behind to retrieve the voting urn.

The plumber and hedgehog watch, both being targets once again. Only one side could win tonight though, and they're about to see who will. Jeff returns to his podium with the urn.

"If anyone has a hidden immunity idol or advantage they'd like to play..NOW would be the time to do so." he says. Sonic IMMEDIATELY steps up, and heads to Jeff.

"It took some time, but…"

Sonic pulls his idol out and hands it to Jeff. Matt and Blu look on, waiting to see what he's doing with it.

"I'm playing this for Matt."

The Mii blows in relief, and the hedgehog takes a seat. With Matt and Sonic safe, this could be a rough night for Gordon. Jeff removes the lid, grabs the seven pieces of parchment and gets ready. "I'll read the votes…"

"First vote."

.

.

"Gordon."

No shock.

.

.

"Gordon."

.

.

"Gordon. That's three votes Gordon."

The chef gets a hand on his bag just incase it's his time.

.

.

.

"Blu."

The Yoshi gasps! For the first time in a while, her name's written down!

.

.

"Blu. That's three votes Gordon, two votes Blu, two votes left…"

The Yoshi turns to Kabal, a concerned look on her face.

"You didn't…"

"I did."

Blu hangs her head down, as Jeff flips another piece of parchment.

"Blu. That's three votes Gordon, three votes Blu, one vote left.."

Li Mei's vote is the only one left. Who's getting sent packing?

.

.

.

"Twelfth person voted out, and the fifth member of our jury: Blu. Bring me your torch."

#Blindside

She grabs her torch, and heads to Jeff, frowning the whole way.

"Silly girl. Never trust a Black Dragon." Kano comments.

Kabal watches as she sets her torch down, and Jeff has last words for her.

"Blu."

He raises his snuffer.

"The tribe has spoken."

SNUFF

"Time for you to go."

The Yoshi gives a faint wave goodbye and leaves the Tribal Council area, bummed out after getting votes she wasn't expecting, and a quick betrayal from Kabal. Once she's out of view, Jeff turns back to the remaining six castaways.

"Six of you are left, and we're now deep into the game. It's time to make some crucial moves. Head back to camp, good night." Jeff says, dismissing them. The final six grab their torches, and leave the Tribal Council area. The big threats take up half the field, but there's still nine days of game left.

Blu's Final Words

Blu: Wow um, I knew Li Mei could do it, but I thought me and Kabal had something. It really sucks he'd lie to me about who was going home…but when Matt got idol'd i thought we had Gordon but nope. The joke's on me. Haha. Ha…

She sighs. The disappointment is immeasurable.

WOW. Sonic got immunity, used the idol on Matt, and their opposition voted Blu to swerve their idol! Dee came up with the idea, and in the end saved Gordon for once, even when the chef was hesitant. However, Kabal/Mei probably already bounced that idea in their heads. Interesting that they don't want to go to the end with either pair…

With Matt and Sonic on the bottom for the first time in the game, how will they bounce back?

Also, it's that time to reveal TWO new castaways for Season 4!

1. Megatron, from "Transformers"! He may be one of the strongest competitors ever casted in the series, I'm talking Diana/Wonder Woman levels, and I believe she holds the immunity record too with four, and T'Challa's either tied with her or one behind. However, strength isn't the only weapon Megatron has. He has a negative outlook on the human race. How will his philosophy about machines effect his gameplay?

2. Rick Grimes, from "The Walking Dead!" Some call him Officer Friendly, and he's the polar opposite of Megatron, all for community and sparing people. With his experience as a sheriff, how will that help his game? Can ANYONE get away with lying to him?

The Episode 13 Chapters MAY come out slower, because I got a new job. I'll still remember to update this though! I can't just stop now when we're SO close to the end. Ticket out, have a good one.
