After the smoke cleared and Darkseid started attacking the city, the team all came out of the ground that was currently destroyed.
"We have to stop this guy." Natasha stated as she watched the death and destruction he was causing.
"I'll finish this." Hal declared as he tried to fly off, but Batman stopped him. "Out of my way, Batman."
"Your arms broken, you idiot." Bruce stated as Hal created a cast over it and tossed the ring on his other hand.
"I can handle this." Hal stated, but Bruce stopped him again.
"You'll die."
"Then I'll die!"
"What are you trying to prove?" Bruce asked.
"I'm not trying to prove anything, you phenomenal douche bag! Don't act like you know me." Hal stated.
"We're just somewhat alike." Bruce tells him.
"Were nothing alike." Hal stated.
"We're fighting alongside an archer, a Russian assassin, a World War Two veteran, an Amazon, a giant green angry monster, and a genius wearing a high tech iPhone case." Bruce listed off the team members.
"Hey!" Tony cried out as he removed his destroyed mask. "JARVIS, get me a new suit."
"On its way, Sir." JARVIS confirmed.
"And not to mention a teenager who just bested us all." Bruce commented and was wondering where that teenager went off to. "Far as I can tell, Hal. You and I are the only real normal people here."
"I never told you my name." Hal said in confusion.
"It was on your flight suit." Bruce stated, remembering it from the sewers.
"You're pretty south of normal, you know that, right?" Hal informed him.
Bruce then removed his cowl to them all. "My name is Bruce Wayne, when I was ten my parents were murdered in front of my eyes. I've spent my live training to fight the same criminals that took them from me. But this, this is different."
"And you're telling me this why?" Hal asked.
"This is bigger of me and you, focus on what's important here." Bruce told him, not realizing the same teenager was actually listening to everything he was saying. "We need to work together if we're going to defeat this guy."
"Then what's the plan?" Clint asked as Tony's Mark Vll suit flew in and morphed around him.
"Those beams that come out of his eyes." Natasha was going to put out a plan when Diana interrupted.
"It settles it then!" Diana declared as she drew her sword. "We blind him!"
"That's...that's as good as a plan as any." Steve guessed, seriously outside of his casual zone. "We follow him, stay out of sight.
"I'll turn on the fireworks and get his attention." Hal offered. "Princess, you get in striking distance and stab him in the eyes."
"And the monsters in the sky?" Natasha asked them.
"I might be able to send them back." Tony offered.
"It won't work." Kara broke as she revealed herself to them. "Darkseid is too powerful. He will conquer this world, like he's done to others throughout the galaxy."
"You're saying you know who he is?" Clint asked. "How?"
"The same way I know your plan isn't going to be enough." Kara stated as she noticed her clothes have been torn and mostly destroyed.
"You've got a better plan, kid?" Bruce questioned her.
"There is nothing you can do." Kara stated just as the Hulk suddenly burst out of the ground and roared in anger.
"Hulk...SMASH!" Hulk cried out as he leaped into the air and chased after Darkseid.
"What is with that guy and the smashing?" Hal questioned.
"How else would you get all that anger out?" Clint guessed and shot an arrow to pull him along to catch up.
"Let's try and ignore the girl and take this guy down." Hal stated and took off into the air.
Kara sighed and knew there was nothing to do when she suddenly used her hearing and realizes there were still people being abducted.
Working fast, Kara sped off and used her heat vision to shoot them down and rescued the people before they die.
Back with the others, they flew right up behind Darkseid just as the Hulk comes down and smashes into him.
"I guess he's taking the role of the distribution." Hal took a guess just as they watched Hulk come flying past them and sent tumbling through several buildings.
"Well, that just happened." Tony said as he flew in and went to punch Darkseid but was met with him catching Tony by the waist and crushing his armor.
Working fast, Tony used his repulsers to break himself free as Darkseid tossed him into a building, followed by Tony sending every missile in his arsenal at Darkseid, but only ended up with him getting more and more irritated.
Hal went to blast him while Natasha was shooting Darkseid from behind, but he and Diana were met with omega beams aimed at them.
"We gotta run!" Hal cried as he and Diana took off and were shocked as the further they got; the beams kept following them. "They can split up!?"
"They're locked on us." Diana said while flying off and putting everything in the way of the beams but can't seem to stop them with anything.
Hal flew high up, and the beam followed as he made a sudden turn. "These things are like a targeting missile!"
Just as the beam was about to make contact with him, the beam was stopped by a gust of wind. Hal stopped and turned to see the beam was gone and no sign of who or what stopped it.
What he missed was Kara flying in and taking the beam and sent flying into the ground, destroying the streets in the process.
Kara was knocked unconscious by the omega beam and was luckily discovered by a familiar face.
"Kara ?" Carol Danvers asked in shock. Looking around, she noticed nobody was around and saw she needed to get Kara out of here.
Sneaking down to the crater, Kara muttered something, and Carol grabbed her hand and began to feel as if she was sick. But she doesn't let that phase her as she picked Kara up and dragged her inside the apartment complex just as more Parademons came in.
"Get away from us!" Carol cried and ran up and was shocked at when she punched the Parademon, it actually was sent flying back and crashed into its other self. "What? How...how did I do that?" She questioned as she looked down at her fists which began to lightly glow. "What the hell?"
Diana was still flying away from the second omega beam that was still following her.
"Diana!" Steve cried as he tossed his shield towards her which Diana grabbed and raised up to block the beam.
"Thanks!" Diana cried as she tossed the shield back just for Steve to block an attack from another Parademon, followed by Hulk coming in and clobbering him.
Back with the others, Darkseid was standing high with a swarm circling around him as he sent out two omega beams again as the heroes all charged at him.
Steve raised his shield and blocked the omega beams again whilst Tony flew in and punched a Parademon. Hulk came in and grabbed two of them and used them as boxing gloves to punch the others. Hal flew in and was dragged off by the Parademon whilst Natasha and Clint did their best to stay alive.
Wonder Woman flew in and punched Darkseid in the face, Tony keeping him off his guard by blasting him while he wasn't looking.
Hal then shot him in the back, using a battleship he created. "Hey, Darkseid, eat this!" He dared and shot several times at Darkseid who shot himself toward the battleship and sends Hal flying into the river.
"This world is mine." Darkseid declared just as Diana flew in and wrapped her lasso around his neck and pulled him over the water and began to strangle him.
Darkseid retaliated by shielding it with her sword this time and just as the beams stopped, Diana stabbed him in the left eye.
Carol was looking down at her fists that continued to glow and was completely shocked at what she's seeing.
How can this be happening? Was she a mutant? Like all of those people she has seen people feared?
And if she was, why are these powers showing themselves now?
Or was it...was it Kara?
Speaking of which, Kara was starting to mutter something as she began to wake up to see she's somewhere else.
"What...what happened?" Kara asked as Carol raced over to her.
"I'm pretty sure that's my question for you." Carol commented as she kneeled down to her. "You okay?"
"My...my head hurts." Kara commented as she tried to sit up.
"Come on, let's get out of here." Carol told Kara and the two try to make their way out.
Darkseid cried in out just as Green Lantern came out from the ocean with a giant bat and smacked him away.
"One down, one to go." Diana said cheerfully.
Darkseid placed a hand over his left eye and looked as the heroes all regrouped and were ready for the second round as Darkseid revealed his scared eye.
Moving faster than anyone could notice, Darkseid, slammed into Diana, and sent her skidding against the ground before beating her senseless, followed by the Hulk leaping in from above and punching him in the head over and over. Hulk then picked him up and sent him flying into a wall.
Darkseid has now become severely pissed off and sends an omega beam at them, but Steve came in and shielded it with his shield.
That caused the omega beams to be sent flying back at its user and sent him flying back further. Tony then flew in and blasted him in the chest while Clint came in and started shooting all his arrows at him.
Darkseid waited for him to get close enough and grabbed Tony, sending him flying across several buildings.
Diana then retaliated as she used her strength and punched Darkseid into the air and through several floors, followed by all of the heroes that could fly coming in and shooting him with their skills and abilities.
Tony blasted him though another building as Diana wrapped him up with her lasso and Clint aiming several of his explosive arrows and shooting him in the back, using it as a cover for the Hulk to come in and punch him in the face as the others held him down.
"Romanoff, take out the other eye!" Bruce cried as he and the others held Darkseid down.
Natasha then saw an opening and threw a batarang Bruce lost and embedded it into his eye, followed by the Hulk punching it further into his eye.
"Do you think that worked?" Steve asked as they watch Darkseid fall to the ground in defeat.
"Yeah, I think that worked." Clint said and removed his glassed that have been destroyed.
Carol and Kara were still getting away from the battle and fighting with Carol carrying the injured Kara.
A Parademon came down towards the two and they had nowhere to hide.
"Leave us alone!" Carol cried and tried to punch it again, but whatever happened seemed to have stopped as all she did was hurt herself.
But just then, a beam of energy left her hand and sent the Parademon flying.
"Okay, I'm liking that." Carol commented as she used the beam to take down the Parademons as they came at them and wonders what exactly happened.
Back with the heroes, they were finishing off the Parademons whilst Darkseid was still trying to defeat them blinded.
"Both eyeballs blown out, and he's still standing!" Hal said in more irritation than confusion as he fought off the Parademons. "What else can we do!?"
"We can send them home!" Tony cried as he blasted another Parademon whilst Diana tossed their dead bodies at the living ones.
"How!?" Diana asked.
"Darkseid is transferring data through those cubes of his. Called Mother Boxes. I know, I used one to save my life." Tony confessed as he used his repulser blast to take them down. "They're creating portals called Boom Tubes. If I can get JARVIS to decrypt their language then we can send them back."
"Can you speak in actual English?" Clint asked as he shot an arrow which shot out small missiles after it made contact with one and took out four more.
"JARVIS, how are we doing with that?" Tony asked.
"I am unable to connect to their network, sir. I need more altitude to get a signal out." JARVIS confirmed to him.
"I gotta get higher. You guys handle things from here?" Tony asked.
"Go!" Bruce cried out and Tiny flew up into the air, causing a Boom Tube to suddenly open up.
The Boom Tube then began to create several hundred more all across the world, causing the Parademons to be pulled in and sent back to their home world of Apokolips.
Darkseid was the only one left when his belt suddenly glowed and a portal opened behind him.
Darkseid fought back against the pull of the portal, but then he heard something that'll haunt him for days.
"HULK SMAAAAAAASSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH!" Hulk came in charging, building up as much momentum as possible, punching him with an uppercut, sending him flying into the portal.
Darkseid then grabbed onto the edges of the portal before he could get thrown in and Tony is trying to shut it down.
"Now, Tony, shut it!" Steve cried as they all tried to charge Darkseid and keep him in the portal.
"I will return...return for the Kryptonian." Darkseid promised them just as the portal closed on him, sending him back.
The world then watched as the towers from their world were taken back to their planet.
"What about all the people who were taken?" Natasha asked with worry.
"Don't worry." Tony assured her. "JARVIS?"
Several portals then opened and the people who were abducted started to fall.
"I've got this." Hal said as he flew off and started to catch them all by creating a few separate giant beds.
"He's good for cleanup." Natasha said sarcastically.
"How do we keep that freak from returning?" Clint asked them.
"All the Mother Boxes were fried during the return." Tony assured them.
"Then they won't be able to get back anytime soon." Diana stated as the Hulk grunted and saw there was nothing left to smash.
"You did good, Jolly Green." Tony told the monster as they saw people approaching them and erupted into cheers and praises.
"Huh, that's different." Clint confessed.
"Anyone else curious what happened to that girl?" Hal asked them as he returned and looked around. "She said we couldn't beat this guy and she vanishes."
"We'll worry about her later." Bruce told him, curious if she's who Darkseid was referring to by the Kryptonian he will return for.
