KRYPTON, FIVE MONTHS BEFORE THE DEATH OF THE PLANET:

Zor-El was currently inside of is workshop, finishing up the shuttlecraft that's supposed to carry his daughter off to the planet Earth. It wasn't the greatest idea, he'll admit, but it was for the last resort if they can't save their world, then his daughter will be the last thing to survive of their world.

As he finished working on the ship, he didn't know if it would actually work. And that's something he wants to prove will work before he sends his daughter off in it.

"Seems the ship's ready." Jor-El, Zor's brother takes notice of as he walked into the labs and noticed the ship.

"I don't truly know." Zor confessed. "I don't know unless we test it."

"How do you propose we do that?" Jor asks him.

"We need to test it out on something." Zor tells his brother, and they don't know who they should test it on. "Someone needs to be sent to Earth, ahead of Kara."

"Who?" Jor-El asks, knowing nobody would give up their life for an experiment.

"There has to be someone." Zor said as he thinks and suddenly gets a good idea.

A while later, they have the pod ready to make it to Earth and have the family dog inside of it.

The dog was a white haired Labrador Retriever who had a golden collar around his neck and had the House of El symbol attached to it. He was sitting in the pod and was not entirely sure what was happening.

Once the pod was shot off, Krypto started to whimper as it was sent on its way towards the planet Earth...

PRESENT DAY:

Mary was at a restaurant with May as Richard was working late and Ben was on a volunteering night patrol.

"So, what is Richard working on per say?" May asked as she took a bite of her Thai.

"Our boss has him working on some sort of genetic mutation in DNA." Mary tells May as she was scarfing the food.

"Slow it down, you look like you're pregnant again." May tells her jokingly when she saw Mary's face. "No!"

"Yeah...we are." Mary confessed with a shy smile.

"What?! When?!" May asked in surprise.

"It just sorta happened." Mary confessed. "We're telling the kids this weekend when Kara gets off of school. After Richard gets off of work."

"Gotta tell you, I'm not a fan of that Lex Luthor." May confessed to Mary about her boss. "Something about that man just rubs me the wrong way. I don't know, maybe it's the bald head. Or that smug smile of his."

"You know it's only for a small time." Mary reminded her, as she and Richard change jobs almost constantly.

If only she knew the truth.

Back with Carol and Kori, Carol was doing her best to get her settled into her home, questioning how on earth her life came to this moment.

"You know, I had a normal life just last week. How did it come to this?" Carol asked herself as she sets the bed up for Kori.

"Well, you discovered me in the alleyway where we talked, and I had to kiss your friend so you could understand me." Kori told Carol, causing her to look confused before taking a guess she hasn't learned to understand sarcasm or rhetorical statements, she did only copy their language after all.

"It...that was an expression, but okay." Carol guessed and then went through her and Alex's clothes for her to have a small wardrobe. "These look like they should fit." She said as she placed them down on the bed. "I'm gonna have to find a way of explaining the sudden exchange student, considering we never exchanged anyone. But, you know what, that's what's so great about New York. Unless you're flying around in some giant metal iron suit or can fly, nobody will even notice you."

"Oh, so this isn't normal?" Kori asked as Carol turned her back, just as she turned back to see Kori was actually flying in the middle of the room.

Carol rolled her eyes and smacked her head at the same time as she sees that this might have been a mistake.

Back in LexCorp, Richard was looking over the computer code and was working on the research for the genetic mutation that Luthor for a contract he was able to get from the government, trying to figure out who and why.

"Dr. Janson." Lex Luthor greeted, scaring Richard as he forgot his alias on this job and turned to face him. "It seems I was right to hire you as our research has exploded tenfold."

"I'm just doing my best here, sir." Richard tells him with a shy smile, keeping up the appearance of shy scientist.

"Keep it up, then." Lex tells him and walks off towards the door before suddenly turning around. "Oh, we're expecting the results to be ready for some test subjects soon."

"Wait, you want to test it on people?" Richard asked in shock.

"Yes, I think we're ready for it." Lex said as he gave a smile and left the room.

Richard then reached into his watched and revealed a commlink. "This is Agent Parker...we need to get ready for Phase 2." That's mostly due to the fact that Richard and Mary are Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

ONE WEEK AGO, DURING THE INVASION OF DARKSEID:

Samuel Alexander was running from the Parademons that were collecting people as they all screamed in terror and fear. He ran into a dark alley and was trying to find a place to escape from and saw there was nowhere to go.

Holding himself as he hurled up in a corner, he waited for something to happen when a giant glowing ball came flying in and crashed into the ground before the beam was directed at the Parademon.

As Sam watched the fight, his vision was clouded by the dust and debris and fell unconscious from it all, but he heard someone calling out his name.

"SAM!"

PRESENT DAY:

Once Friday came along, Kara sped her way home for family dinner, getting all of her homework and assignments in to her teachers on time, and was ready to tell her family of the amazing experience she's had on her first week.

Peter also made his way home, walking with Megan and just talking, kinda sad that she was probably the only person in their social group who doesn't know about the craziness that goes down.

As the night went on, Richard was on his way to the kitchen for some more dinner while he heard the kids continue their stories of the week.

"And Rogue, she is just the best roommate. It was a little bit of a small issue with the whole I can't touch people thing, but we got used to one another, and she has been loads of fun! I mean, she is already just as stacked like me, just in other ways."

"That's great to hear, sweetie." Mary tells her, happy that her daughter was getting the education on both her powers and her abilities. "And...now that we're all here, we have something we need to tell you kids."

Richard heard the comment and made his way back to the table and took his wife's hand and knew it was time to tell them. "We are...going to have a new member of the family soon."

The parents then waited for some type of response, but it seemed both of them were shocked by the news, considering Peter has froze half way to his mouth and Kara is just staring off into space.

"Wait, we're what?" Peter was the first of the two to speak.

"This time next year, you two are going to have a baby sibling!" Richard said cheerfully.

"Oh my gosh!" Kara finally cheered as she sped over and hugged Mary. "I can't wait to meet them! Wait, how long does a pregnancy last on this planet?"

Richard laughed at that and was happy they did explain repopulation to her already. That was not a good day in the Parker household.

"So, is now a good time to talk about a new friend I made?" Peter asked.

"Oh, honey, you made a new friend? What's their name?" Mary asked Peter happily.

"Her name's Kori..." Peter started out.

"And where is she from?" Richard asked as he took a mouthful of spaghetti to his mouth.

"Tamaran." Peter tells him.

"Where's that?" Mary asked, never hearing it before.

"Somewhere north...thirty seven million light years away." Peter finally confessed, causing the table to shriek in questions.

Back in LexCorp, the entire labs have been wrecked, as if something has rammed through it. The computers have been bitten as if some sort of alligator has chewed through them.

"No...please...PLEASE!" One of the scientists cried out as a dog bark suddenly blew off the doors and his senses suddenly smelled a familiar scent.

The dog was a familiar dog with white fur and a collar with the House of El on it before exiting the labs and into the light revealing Krypto the Kryptonian dog. Krypto then smelled the scent of someone who he recognized and started to chase after it.

Sam finally to start coming to and looked to see he was in the hospital with a bandage against his head. But that wasn't the strangest thing.

The strangest thing might just be the fact he was being stared down on by some green lady and a raccoon.

"Oh, look at that, he's awake." The raccoon actually spoke to him.

"What the hell are you?!" Sam cried out as he sprung up in his bed. "A talking raccoon?!"

The said talking raccoon then suddenly turned from a friendly face to an angry one. "What did you just call me?!" He asked as he pulled out a gigantic riffle from his back and began charging it up. It began to glow blue and was going to fire when the green lady grabbed him and picked him up.

"Rocket! Calm down!" The green woman tells him.

"He came at me first, Gamora!" Rocket replied.

Sam then jumped out of his bed and went racing out of the room and down the halls. "Help! Somebody! Talking raccoons! Tall green lady!"

He ended up running into one of the nurses who began to calm him down. "Hey, it's okay. What's going on?"

"I see talking raccoons! There's a giant tall lady in my bedroom!" Sam cried in terror.

"It's okay. It's okay. Let's see these things." The nurse offered and escorted Sam back to his room where they saw that there was nobody in sight. "See? There's nothing. Come on, lie down and go to sleep and heal."

Sam decides that it must've just been in his head and does as the nurses instructed.

A little while later, Sam woke up and began to see something glowing under his bed.

"What...what is that?" Sam asked as he crawled out of his bed and looks to see an old relic of his father's. It was a giant dark blue helmet with a red plus across the middle with sharp edges.

Sam then walked outside with the helmet and tossed it as far as he could throw it. But as soon as the helmet hits the ground, a giant blue beam comes down from the sky.

"Okay, what just happened?" Sam asked with a sigh as he walked over to the helmet he just threw and saw it began to glow light blue. "What the hell?"

He then reached down and picked it up and saw something going on inside. Deciding there's nothing bad for it, Sam placed the helmet on.

That was a bad idea.

The second it was placed on his head, he let out an ear piercing scream as a Nova uniform began to form around him before a image appeared of his father who was badly bruised and injured.

"Sam...If you're seeing this then- - - -didn't go as planned with this defense against- - - -. I'm giving the helmet- - - -Rocket and Gamora. Whatever you do,- - -trust them!"

"Wait, trust them, or don't trust them?" Sam asked the video recording.

"I know I haven't been- - -best father- - -Wanted to be there more for you- - -your mom and your sister. I'm sorry for everything, and if you're seeing- - -then I'm gone. This helmet you- - -will only work for our DNA. And now the burden of Nova has been placed onto you. I love you, son.."

"Dad..." Sam whispered as he began to tear up when the message suddenly cut off and he was sent falling and crashed into the ground, just as Sam realized the entire time he was listening to the message he was flying.

This was merely the beginning.

The beginning of something bigger.
