RIGHT BEFORE THE BATTLE

Carol Danvers smiled as she was sitting on the edge of her pool in the backyard. She left her feet dangling in the pool while wearing a one-piece bathing suit that she had. With it being a weekend, she decided to expose Kori to swimming. Having to play roommate with an alien Princess is stranger than you can imagine, which already sounds as weird as it could get.

Kori was able to get swimming down very quickly as it seems she's a fast learner. Luckily, she's the same build and size as Carol, possibly a little smaller due to the suit she had for her to wear.

The suit Carol was wearing was a (like already said) is a one-piece swimsuit that's all black with a yellow lightning bolt on the chest.

Kori's swimsuit she was wearing was an old suit of Carol's, it being a bit more...revealing, but it seemed that she actually preferred that. Something about it being a part of her culture, revealing as much skin as possible. That's something Carol's going to have to help her understand a bit more of if she is going to help her fit in on Earth. Her suit was a bit of a one-piece, with it covering the essential areas, but also revealing a lot of her chest and stomach going over her shoulders and going down to her waist.

"This is so much of the fun!" Kori cheered as she swam around the pool, doing the backstroke and just lying in the pool.

"Glad you're enjoying yourself," Carol said with a smile. "But it sounds like we need to do a little bit more work on your English."

"Oh, did I say something of the matter?" Kori wondered, starting to float as she looked towards Carol.

"No, no. It's just...off. People will notice it, and we don't really have your background figured out." Carol explained to her, knowing she's not stupid. Just taking her time to get used to living on Earth.

"Oh, okay." Kori was happy to hear it wasn't anything personal.

Carol smiled again, almost feeling like she had a little sister with Kori around. That's when there were suddenly sirens going off, causing the two to look to see what was happening and noticed that there was a giant wave at the shoreline.

"What the hell?" Carol asked in shock.

"What is happening?" Kori asked as she got out of the pool just as the Atlantis soldiers started to attack. One of them fired a blast towards the neighborhood and the two girls quickly ducked before they could get hit. That ended with them being in the middle of a small dust cloud that seemed to only affect Carol.

Working to get the dust out of her face, she wiped her arm over her eyes, leaving a dark imprint over them that she hadn't noticed. Looking back, they saw that there were people in their neighborhood being attacked and slaughtered.

Working fast, Carol summoned the powers she gained and flew into the air. Once then, she landed in-between the two parties and then used her powers to blast them into oblivion.

"Now what's this? Attack of the Mermen?" Carol questioned as she flew down the street and rammed into a tank, destroying it with her powers.

Several more came up and aimed guns at her, one being powerful enough to shoot her into the side of a building, earning her to become weakened. As the soldiers kept gunning her down, Kori immediately flew down and immediately used her powers to shoot them back.

"That is my friend!" Kori stated as she rammed one of them into the ground, dragging them down and destroying the street as she tossed him into a crowd of soldiers and even a tank.

Carol saw some of the debris was going to fall on a few people and quickly flew over and punched the falling rumble. The people looked up and were shocked to see the kid that had just saved them.

Quickly looking over to Koriand'r, Carol was happy to see she was starting to become bright orange, instead of its Caucasian skin she was starting to get around them. Her skin was now going back to its light orange skin that she met her with, showing she won't need to hide her face unlike Carol currently was without even knowing it.

The two worked fast and helped protect the neighborhood from the incoming enemies. Carol flew in low and sucker-punched the nearest Atlantan as Kori flew in high and rammed the tank.

Taking them all out began to become increasingly difficult as more of them were flooding in with the two taking down the army like nothing.

But when the battle started to become a challenge to them, Stark's projection of Orm confessing to killing the Queen was shown and stopped the fighting.

During that last bit of chaos, Carol sneaked Kori back into their home and noticed she was covered in dust and her face was hidden.

"Whoa," Carol said as she realized she did all of that and nobody would know it was her. "Didn't realize I had my face covered."

"Is that what that dust is for?" Kori asked her as her skin started to fade from orange and back into Caucasian.

"Well, it is now," Carol said when she looked down at her hands and smiled. "You know...we could probably do that again."

"Fight fish-people?" Kori asked, tilting her head like a confused puppy. "Why would we have a need to engage them in battle again?"

Carol laughed and knew she should explain it a bit better. "No. I mean, we could actually use these powers to help others. You know...be heroes. Like the Avengers."

Kori was thinking about it and seemed to understand what Carol was saying and agreed it sounded like a cool thought. "I think that would be a good thought for others."

Carol was happy to see she was on board but also knew that the English thing was either going to become very irritating or cuter in the long exposure.

Back to the school for gifted youngsters, Kara was helping the kids rebuild the school. With the combined powers of everyone, including Sam Alexander, it was a quick and easy fix.

Luckily Charles canceled school for the morning due to the attack, giving everyone some breathing room to cool down from the attack.

Kara and Rogue were walking around the halls when they ran into Sophia and Emma. The two looked like they had gotten some new books for school. But Kara didn't recognize them immediately and wondered what they were.

"Hey, guys. What's up?" Kara asked.

"Nothing much, Emma and I are just planning on doing a bit of a trip into town, thinking of transferring to another school," Sophia informed them, not going into much detail as to where they are thinking about transferring.

"What, this school not good enough anymore, Frosty?" Rogue asked with a chuckle.

"Hey, the place gets attacked once, I'll Chuck it up to a one-time thing. It happens twice with two invading armies, that's when I call it quits." Emma stated with a snarky tone, but her argument wasn't something they could argue with.

"Well, you'll still be living here, right?" Kara asked.

"Not like we can go anywhere else." Sophia shrugged. "See you guys later."

The two roommates/friends wander away and left the two other friends/roommates alone.

"Did something feel off about that to you?" Kara wonders, feeling like she had an itch in her head.

"Something always feels off around her. But now...I don't know, something did feel off with them. I mean, Chat's as chatty as ever, but Emma...she almost looked excited. Jittery." Rogue had no idea how to explain it, but Emma did indeed look different. Energized.

"Well, I'll be back in a minute," Kara said as she wanted to head home and make sure her family were safe after things were done at the school, and pick up a few things while she's there.

She quickly sped off and made it across New York in seconds before ending up outside her home. Looking around, things looked perfectly fine. The streets and stores at the end of the streets seemed to be the only thing that was damaged.

Walking up to the house, she overheard Richard and Mary were talking about how they needed to get to Washington for something to do with their work. Kara shrugged it off and knocked on the door, waiting for them to answer.

Once Mary opened the door, she squealed in excitement to see Kara. "Kara!" She then pulled Kara in for a hug and let her inside. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, I wanted to check in on you guys," Kara answered, feeling it should have been obvious after everything that happened. "Everyone okay?"

"We are," Richard said with sorrow on his face, getting Kara concerned for her family.

"What? What happened?" Kara asked.

"Ben," Richard said as a few tears ran down his face. "Ben got caught in the fighting."

"What?" Kara asked in shock.

"Yeah. We just learned a while ago after the fighting." Mary said as she comforted her husband.

"Is...is Peter okay?" Kara was worried as she wondered where he was.

"He's fine. He's...grieving. Sleeping as of now." Mary said as she just checked in on Peter and he was asleep. "Uh, listen, Kara, me and Richard need to head out of town for the next few days. Can you...watch over Peter? Like...check in once in a while?"

"Yeah, sure." Kara agreed, knowing Peter would be grieving the loss of his uncle. "I'll keep my eyes on him."

"Thank you," Mary said as she pecked her head and gestured to the window. "Oh, your stuff is in that box over there. Everything you asked for."

Kara looked back and saw all the things she wanted to have moved to the X-Mansion were indeed in there, just as she asked. Luckily none of it was destroyed in the attack as it's the last she as of her homeworld.

That same time, Peter was upstairs, tossing and turning as that spider bite did a lot more than he even noticed. His DNA was testing and turning. Alternating with his human DNA and his new spider DNA.

His body was becoming more endurance. Becoming more flexible. His bones were becoming more durable and growing in strength.

He was gaining amazing and spectacular new powers.

He was becoming something greater.

Whilst Peter's life was changing, to the point things would never be the same, so was Kara's. She was peacefully resting in her room, Rogue right across from her in her bed. But suddenly in the middle of the night, a glowing light eliminated from the room, causing Rogue to groan and throw a pillow over her face.

"Kara. Can you be a good roomie and kill the sun?" Rogue asked of her friend.

Kara was also awakened by the light and looked over to be shocked at what she saw. It wasn't the sun, but rather the crystal she brought with her from the house.

"What?" Kara whispered as she walked over and picked it up. Once she did, the light started to dim when she turned it in a specific location. "That's weird?"

"What is it?" Rogue asked as she was now awake, even though it was never two in the morning.

"It's an information crystal. My world would store knowledge and information inside of them." Kara explained, but she had never seen one act quite like this before.

Noticing that it seemed to be leading her somewhere, Kara opened the giant window and quickly blasted off into the sky to follow where it was leading her.

"Sure, leave me behind, sugah. I didn't just get woken up to not learn why." Rogue muttered as she closed the window and just decided to try and go back to sleep.

(A/N) For those who don't know, I put a new poll up for who the endgame relationship for Peter will be. For me, I don't have much of a preference on who to end it with, so you guys decide. The only thing I need for him to get with is for the comics I'm interpreting. But those are high school relationships, everything could change. More characters will be added on if I do add-in anymore.
