The warmth of Oscar's embrace was the only source of comfort in this dark dreary cellar.
No one seemed too bothered by our close contact, the others didn't even seem to notice.
Luna was busy comforting Ollivander, who went through random bouts of torture upstairs, where we could all hear his screaming.
Often times I would feel the Goblins creepy black eyes staring intensely at me, as if he had something to say, and to my expectation, the Goblin finally spoke.
'You are the Morris girl, correct?' he asked, and I turned my attention towards Griphook
'What's it to you?' I asked, and Griphook watched me with a curious look
'You lived in this manor, did you not?'
I wasn't surprised to know that Griphook knew of my occupation in this manor, for I used to visit Gringotts with the Malfoy's long ago, though, I was forced to wait in the main hall whilst they retrieved their money, they didn't exactly want me knowing how much was stored in there.
'I did.' I said stiffly
'Then you must know of a way out of here,' said the Goblin 'a trap door maybe?'
I frowned, and shook my head.
'No such luck,' I said 'the only way out is through that door, and I'm sure the Malfoy's have put protective enchantments on it so we can't escape.'
The Goblin huffed and muttered under his breath.
'What was that?' I demanded, raising to my feet 'If you have something to say!' I growled
'Mara, come on-' Oscar grabbed my shoulders, and the Goblin shot me a nasty smile.
'It is of no importance to me your carnal desires,' said Griphook 'but if rumours are to be believed-'
'Believe what you want!' I snarled, my eyes watering angrily
'You shouldn't judge someone by what you hear,' said Oscar hotly 'the rumours aren't true!'
I winced
'If you say so.' said Griphook with a mean sneer 'But it seems that werewolf has a particular interest in you either way. How do we know you aren't on their side?'
Fury erupted inside me
'I don't know why Greyback is fascinated with me, alright!' I bellowed 'He's just a sick freak who likes to torture people! If I was on his or any of their sides, I wouldn't be locked up in here, would I!?'
Griphook considered this, and gave me a curt nod.
'Very well...' said the Goblin 'it is still strange.'
'Yeah, well, what do you know.' I growled, turning my back on Griphook,
'Just calm down.' said Oscar softly, who allowed me to lean into him for a reassuring hold...
Every time the door clanged open fear took hold, expecting every time it to be Greyback coming back for me as promised. Oscar often noticed my apprehension whenever we heard footsteps coming down the stairs, and even he stepped out in front of me.
This time, thankfully, despite my lack of joy to see him, it was Draco delivering our broth and bread, which was a once a day occurrence, and the time varied.
'Draco,'
He turned towards me, his eyes narrowed
'he isn't really coming back, is he?' I asked 'Greyback, I mean.'
For a brief moment, I thought I saw a sympathetic look cross his pale, pointed face, but it quickly turned back into it's previous cold demeanour.
'How would I know?' he asked 'just eat your food.'
'It's alright, Mara.' said Oscar in comfort as Draco left the cellar, and we sat down to eat our food 'I'm sure if he was coming back he'd be here by now.'
I cast him an unsure glance, and he could see it on my face, though we both glanced upwards, at the sound of classical music echoing through the manor.
'Wait-that's-' I rose onto my feet 'that's the weird sisters-that's Merton's cello music.' I rushed to the door and enclosed my hands around the bars, wondering if it were Draco playing that, for his parents certainly didn't listen to the bands music.
Tears leaked down my cheeks, and sadness took hold of me.
Merton must be going out of his mind with worry, I was supposed to meet him on the platform, I prayed to Merlin that Artemas and Maureen were safe, and wondered if Harold would ever make an appearance here.
'Merton..' I sobbed quietly, my eyes closing as Oscars hands pressed carefully upon my shoulders...
'I think it's Christmas.' Said Luna abruptly one morning, glancing through the doors bars.
'How can you tell?' I asked, joining her at the door.
'I can see lights...from a tree, maybe.' said Luna vaguely
'I think you're right.' I remarked 'But I don't think we'll be getting many presents this year.'
'No, I think you're right.' said Luna, who moved away from the door
'How's Mr Ollivander doing?' I asked quietly
'Oh, he's doing a little better now that the torture isn't as frequent any more.' she replied
'And what about you? How are you holding up?'
'Well, I think I'm alright,' said Luna 'they only tortured me a couple of times in comparison...I'm curious as to why they haven't you yet.'
'I don't know, but I think I have an idea of what's planned for me.' I said darkly
'Did Draco say something?' asked Luna
'No...just...something I overheard in the manor when I lived here...it's nothing..' I walked away from the confused Luna and approached Oscar, who was talking to Mr Ollivander.
However, the sounds of steps once again pulled all our attention, Luna moved away from the door and Oscar hurried towards me, stepping before me.
A darkened figure emerged and the door opened.
Dread filled me inside at the sight of the large, vicious looking man with matted grey hair and sideburns now standing in front me, and he was carrying a brightly wrapped box with a bow on top.
'Hello sweetie, did you miss me?' he asked
'Stay away from her.' Oscar demanded
'Or what?' Greyback sneered 'What are you going to do without a wand, eh?' Oscar looked offended and angry.
'I said I'd be back, and here I am,' said Greyback with a smirk 'I came a long way to see you, the most you can do is open this gift I bought you.'
'I'm not accepting anything from you.' I sneered
'Well, that's a shame,' Greyback sighed 'I was really hoping I wouldn't have to cause a commotion down here.'
'Wha-what sort of commotion?'
'Well, first, your cousin here won't have a good time, then I don't mind moving onto your little girlfriend over there.' he said, indicating to a surprised Luna.
'No, no need to do that!' I said quickly 'I-I'll take your gift.'
'That's a good girl.' Greyback grinned 'Here. Take it.'
'Mara, don't-' Oscar reached for me as I made my way over to Greyback, and I took his gift, pulling open the bow and taking off the lid.
'What is this?' I demanded angrily, at the sight of some sort of skimpy outfit inside.
'Heh, for you to wear of course,' Greyback said 'whilst I use this.' he pulled out a rather large, vicious looking whip from the box.
'You-you dirty-' Oscar growled
'You see,' interrupted Greyback 'the dark lord reckons you can be trusted to go back to your old room upstairs, would you like that?'
I froze up
'You-you what-' I muttered
'Of course, you can guess what the arrangement is, can't you?' Greyback asked, stroking my jaw briefly 'You were promised to me a long time ago. After all.'
'You piece of shit!' growled Oscar, who marched towards Greyback
'Oscar, no!'
Greyback's fist slammed into Oscar's face, and he fell backwards in a heap
'Oscar! I cried 'You didn't have to do that!'
'He started it.' Greyback said childishly 'If you don't want to, I can always take blondie over there. I wouldn't mind a fresh new toy.'
Alarm went off inside me, I couldn't allow for Luna to go through the same torture I did. She, nor anyone deserved it.
Though I spotted something, in Greyback's back pocket, and a plan sprung into action.
'Y-you're right, Fenrir,' Greyback looked in surprise at the use of his first name, and my hands pressing on his chest 'I mean, it has been a long time...and I kind of miss you.'
He looked shocked, perhaps not having anticipated this, and he watched as I rose onto my tip toes, my lips hovering over his own.
'Mara-' Oscar called in horror ,as I kissed Greyback hotly, he grunted as my hands lowered up under his top, feeling his strong torso under my hands, which rounded towards his backside, in which he made a shocked noise to-I could feel everyone's eyes on me, but only one thing mattered.
I grabbed the wand that was sticking out his back pocket, pushed him away and aimed it at him.
Greyback recovered from his recoil, and he looked livid.
