Damons POV
After giving Stefan a bad dream, he wakes up in his bedroom.
"Ahh!" Stefan screams bolting up.
"Bad dream? Do you know how easy it was to get into your head just now? You really need some human blood. It might even the playing field. Football reference. Too soon." I taunt.
Stefan throws a knife at me. hitting me in the stomach. I pull it out.
"All right, I deserved that. But I just wanted to let you know, they caught the culprit. The animal responsible for killing coach Tanner and all those people." I say in a joking tone.
"What are you talking about?" Stefan asks confused.
It was a mountain lion. Really big one. It attacked a hunter this morning. It's all over the news. 'Deadly beast captured. All's well in Mystic Falls.'" I tell him.
"Why would you cover your tracks?" Stefan asks.
"I've decided to stay a while. And I'm just having way too much fun here with you and Elena." I taunt him trying to keep him off my trail.
"What about Evie and Blaise? Is Blaise your son?" Stefan asks.
Obviously, he picks up on the fact that Blaise and I look so much alike. He can't know. He would put them in danger to save his precious Elena.
"No, vampires can't have children. I'm staying for Elena." I say hoping that will keep him off my scent.
"Can't touch her now." Stefan says
"Well, the vervain keeps me out of her head. Maybe that's not my target. Believe it or not, Stefan, some girls don't need my persuasion. Some girls just can't resist my good looks, my style and my charm and my unflinching ability to listen to Taylor Swift." I say with a chuckle
I stab Stefan in the stomach. It clearly hurts Stefan more than it hurt me, for Stefan falls to the floor.
"This is John Varvatos, dude. Dick move." I say as I walk out of the room.
Evelyn's POV
"To repeat, the animal terrorizing Mystic Falls has been caught." Logan announces from the TV
"Scum ball. Scum bucket." Jenna calls him.
I'm downstairs lying on the floor in front of the TV having tummy time with Blaise. I just let him wiggle around for toys I place sorta close to him. They are just out of his reach. I'm laughing at Jenna's running commentary.
"Who are you talking to?" Elena asks joining us.
"Him." Jenna says pointing to Logan who is making a report on the TV.
"The news guy?" Elena asks confused.
"Also known as Logan 'Scum' Fell. Did your mom ever tell you why I moved away from Mystic Falls?" Jenna asks.
"Oh, no way. You and him? He's cute." Elena says giving Jenna a good for you look.
"He is not cute. There's nothing cute about him." Jenna says.
"Yeah, he sucks." I put in.
"What are you doing with that?" Jenna asks pointing to the box Elena's holding.
"I went yesterday and got it from the safe deposit box. Mom had told Mrs. Lockwood she would loan it to the founder's council for their heritage display." Elena explains.
"Is that Grandma Beth's wedding ring?" Jenna asks.
"Originally it was great-great-grandma Mary's wedding ring." Elena tells us. Its crazy the history in that box.
"How much do you think this stuff is worth? You know, like on eBay?" Jeremy asks curiously.
"You're not gonna find out." Elena snaps.
"That stuff is mom and dads. You can't just give it away." Jeremy says getting upset.
"I'm not giving it away. It's called a loan, Jeremy." Elena says.
The Doorbell rings and Elena goes to answer it. I see that it's Stefan. She drags him upstairs. I decide to head over to Caroline's place. Help her dress for the founder's council celebration. We are in Caroline's bedroom. Caroline is trying on dresses for the Founder's Party. Damon's there with us.
"No yellow. Jaundice. Go for the blue." Damon says.
"I don't like the blue." Caroline says.
"The blue will make you look better." I say while sitting on her bed. Damon holding Blaise and flipping through new moon.
"Would you and Blaise like to go to the celebration with me?" Damon turns and asks me.
"Sure. Blaise and I would love that." I reply.
"What's so special about this Bella girl? Edward's so whipped." Damon asks still flipping through the book.
"You gotta read the first book first. It won't make sense if you don't." Caroline turns to him and says.
"Ah, I miss Anne Rice. She was so on it. This book, by the way has it all wrong." Damon says throwing the book down.
"You can be very sweet when you want to be." Caroline says
"Yes, I can be sweet." Damon agrees.
After we finally decide on a dress for Caroline to wear Caroline and I go get Bonnie and head to the grill.
"You're taking Damon to the founder's party? What about me?" Bonnies asks me.
"Go with Elena." Says Caroline.
"She's asking Stefan." Bonnie replies.
"Actually, Damon is taking Blaise and I. Why don't you go with Caroline?" I say.
"He's older sexy danger guy." Bonnie says about Damon.
"Older sexy danger guy? Is that an official witch twitter tweet?" Caroline asks.
"No more witch jokes, okay? That whole Mr. Tanner prediction thing has me freaked." Bonnie says
"Alright, we can respect that." I say.
"Okay. And Damon's not dangerous. You know, he just has a lot of issues with his brother. You know, like major, deep-rooted drama." Caroline defends Damon.
"How do you know this?" Bonnie asks. "Isn't he taking Evie to the celebration?"
"Him and slept together a few times and became good friends." Caroline says. "And yeah, he is taking her and Blaise. It's going to be so cute. Seeing Blaise in his suit."
"What's the deep-rooted drama?" Bonnie asks.
"I'm not really supposed to say anything." Caroline says which is not like her at all.
"Caroline Forbes, when have you ever kept a secret in your life?" Bonnie questions.
"Okay. But you two can't tell Elena." Caroline makes us promise.
"Promise." I say.
"No." Bonnie says.
Caroline tells us and Bonnie and I head back to my place. Caroline heads home, though.
The doorbell rings. Elena and I head downstairs. Jeremy answers it. He sees it's Tyler and tries to close the door, but Tyler holds it open.
"I'm here for my mom. I was supposed to pick up a box of stuff." Tyler tells us.
"Right here. Please be careful." Elena says handing him a box.
"Yeah, be careful with it, dick." Jeremy taunts.
"Hey! Not now, okay, guys? Please?" Elena says trying to keep the peace.
"I'm fine. He's just being a punk." Tyler says with a glare.
"I got your punk." Jeremy says.
"That makes no sense Jer. Let it go." I say
"Look, Tyler, maybe you should go. Tell your mom that I'll see her tonight." Elena says then walks back upstairs.
"Hey. Would it make a difference if I told you I actually like Vicki?" Tyler asks.
"Not even if you meant it." Jer says and then walks away.
"How's Blaise?" He asks.
"Come on up. You and I need to talk." I say to him dragging him up to my room. Blaise is napping in his bed.
"What did you want to talk about?" He asks.
"What's this about you assaulting Vicki?" I ask.
"I didn't assault her." Tyler says.
"My brother stopped you?" I ask.
"I thought she was playing with me. She likes CNC. I thought we were continuing from earlier that day." Tyler explains.
"That better be all it is. You have to get you temper under control better." I say.
"I know." He says with a sigh running his hands through his hair. "I need to get this box to my mom."
"Alright. We will see you later." I say giving him a hug and walk him to the door. I head up to Elena's room after.
"Delicate flower vs. naughty vixen." Bonnie says showing up both bottles on nail polish.
"Tough call. Can we mix them?" Elena asks.
"Good idea," I compliment.
"Look at you two, getting all pretty for your dates. You two seem happy-ish." Bonnie observes.
"I am...ish. Tonight's going to be a good night. But don't let that stop you from telling me whatever it is you wanted to tell me as soon as you walked in the door." Elena says. "Wait... who's your date, Evie?"
"Damon asked Blaise and I to be our date." I reply painting my nails a blood red.
"What if I tell you in the morning? I don't want to ruin the night." Bonnie suggests.
"Bonnie, out with it." Elena orders
"Okay, but it has to go in the vault, because Caroline will kill me if it gets back to Damon that she squealed. Apparently, Stefan has a very interesting back story." Bonnie says not keeping her promise to Caroline at all. I sigh with disappointment.
"Uh-huh." Elena says not fully agreeing.
"Do you know what happened with his ex-girlfriend Katherine?" Bonnie asks.
"I know that they both dated her and that's why they have issues." Elena says.
"Yeah, they both dated her, only she chose Damon. And that drove Stefan mad, so he did horrible things to try and break them up. He manipulated Katherine. He filled her head with all these lies until finally it worked, and she turned against Damon." Bonnie explains
"That sounds like one person's side of the story, meaning Damon's." Elena says
"I just wanted you to know." Bonnie replies.
"Honestly, it sounds like it's none of our business. And it's probably way more complicated then we are thinking. I have a strange feeling that this Katherine is more to blame then Stefan and Damon in their relationship." I say.
"His past relationships are none of my business." Elena agrees with me.
"Unless he's a calculating, manipulative liar. That is your business." Bonnie points out.
"Stefan is none of those things." Elena sticks up for Stefan.
"Yeah? How do you know?" Bonnie asks.
"How do we know anything? They have to tell us till we get to know them more. They haven't been in town long enough for that. So, that will take time." I say with a huff.
The girls let it drop and we get back to getting ready to go. I sneak off to get Blaise in his suit but put him back in his crib with some toys with him. The 4-month-old baby needed something to keep him entertained. I leave my room and head back to Elena's. I see Elena bee line to Jer's room. Sensing something will happen I follow her. She hits him.
"Ahh! God, what now?" Jer asks
"The pocket watch. Where is it?" Elena accuses.
"What watch?" Jer plays dumb.
"The one you stole from mom's box. Look, Mrs. Lockwood just called me, freaking out. It was on the list, Jeremy. And she can't find it, and she thinks she's the one who lost it." Elena says.
"Maybe she did. Maybe Tyler took it." Jer deflects.
"Don't even play that card. Jeremy, you took it. If I go online, am I going to find it on eBay? Is that how you pay for your pot?" Elena accuses.
"Screw you." Jer says getting upset. He gets up and gets the pocket watch. "I would never sell this, ok?"
"Then why did you take it?" Elena asks.
"Because it's supposed to be mine. Dad said it goes to the firstborn son. His father gave it to him, and now what?" Jer explains. Jeremy hands the watch to Elena.
"And he was going to give it to you." It dawns on her.
"Yeah," Jer agrees.
"Look, Jeremy, it's still yours, okay? Mom promised Mrs. Lockwood. What do you want me to do?" Elena asks like that's his problem.
"Just take it and get out." Jeremy dismisses. Elena leaves his room with the pocket watch. "What do you want?" He turns to me.
"I'll make sure you get it back," I tell him leaving his room.
I leave the room and head to my own room. I put on my dress, and I fix my hair. I curl my hair, so my redish brown hair falls in rings around my face. My sister and I look alike but aren't identical. She has brown hair. Mine has more of a red tint to it. I have forest green eyes to Elena's brown. I am also a little more pale then Elena. I head to Elena's room and grab the watch. I look at her.
"You know it's the right thing." I say to her leaving the room. I head to Jeremy's room and give him the watch.
