It was nighttime at Nowhere cemetery, when suddenly a hand pop out from the grave and it pull it itself off the ground. It was Benton Tarantella.

"Finally free, it is the full moon. Which means it's time for my ultimate revenge," Tarantella said evilly.

Tarantella grabbed the camera that was next to the grave and started to film, where the full moon shine. When suddenly a white hand appeared from the grave and his head pop out, and his body climb back up the surface.

"What plan do you have this time?" the zombie, Volkhiem asked.

"Ah, my old friend," Tarantella said, as he wrapped his arm around the white zombie's shoulder, "I give you a gift, you will go to the town of Nowhere, and touch a human being. Where he or she will turn into a zombie and the contagion will spread across the town, and our army will be unstoppable."

By now, Volkhiem understood what Tarantella's plan was. "So you want me to touch a human being to started an apocalypse, oh that is despicable," he said, before suddenly turning sinister and saying, "hehehehe, I LOVE IT!"

Volkhiem walked out of the cemetery and trying to find his first victim and was in luck when he found a woman just passing through.

Volkhiem walked up to the lady, as she screamed with fear when she saw him.

Volkhiem grabbed her arms as she screamed. He suddenly transformed her into a zombie.

The lady began to walk around, touching random citizens that tried to flee from the from her. More and more citizens were being transformed into zombie, continuing to spread the contagion.

The family were currently walking out of the movie theater and just finished '1001 Dilmatians.'

"The movie was dull," Eustace complained, as it was actually a dog movie.

"I thought it was gorgeous," Muriel said, liking the movie they saw.

"Like, you said it Aunt Muriel, that movie was awesome," Shaggy agreed.

"Reah, it was spectacular," Scooby nodded.

"Yep, I give it a thumbs up," Courage agreed, as he give a thumbs up.

But suddenly Eustace dumped the popcorn into Courage's head, and laughed at his misery.

"Like, really Uncle Eustace?" Shaggy asked, with disappointment.

Muriel frowned at this, and grabbed her rolling pin, and hit her husband with it.

"Ow! What did I do?" Eustace asked, as he rubbed his head in pain.

Muriel ignored him, and turned to the trio, "Know, how about we got out to get dinner boys?"

Shaggy and Scooby nodded excitedly.

"Like, sounds good to me, I could use a bite to eat," Shaggy said, his mouth watering.

"Reah, I'm starving," Scooby agreed, as he licked his lips.

Courage laughed, while shaking his head at the two, "You guys are always starving."

At the diner, the family were enjoying the dinner they ordered.

"Like, this is the best dinner I've ever had," Shaggy said, as he ate his gigantic dinner.

"Rou said it Raggy," Scooby agreed, with a chuckled.

Courage laughed, at his two best friends and saw about to respond when he heard…

"No! No! Get away!" Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all turned their heads upon hearing a woman shriek in terror.

"Like, what was that?" Shaggy asked.

Before either of the best friends could reply, a lady came in the diner and screeched, running inside the diner, followed by a couple other terrified citizens.

Scooby watched as a few people ran past him, clearly terrified by something, he asked, "Rhat's everybody running from?"

Courage gasped, pointing in a certain direction, "Uh, I think that!"

They all looked over to see their Di Lung standing by himself, doing something on his phone.

"Like, Di Lung...?" Shaggy asked confused, wondering why people would be running from him of all things.

A couple of terrified citizens passed by Di Lung, as he shouted to the citizens, "Watch where ya going ya fools!"

"No, that! Over there!" Courage said, his voice cracking in fear as he pointed in the other direction.

The trio looked to see a scene of chaos. Zombies stalking rampant, bumping into innocent citizens who would immediately transform into zombies.

Suddenly, all three of the zombies came in the diner, and touched Muriel and Eustace and both got infected by zombies and became zombies was well.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage gasped, after witnessing this in horror.

"LIKE, WE GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!" Shaggy shouted, with terror.

The the three felt the terror of the other citizens and screamed, sprinting away from the scene as quickly as they could.

The zombies continued to walk around the diner and walked outside to spread the contagion.

In the police car, an officer was relaxing when, he got a call on his walkie-talkie, "Outbreak of 21. We got a outbreak of zombies."

The officer ignored this and reply, "Yeah, yeah, I'm on my break."

Then suddenly, zombies came and rock his police car back and forth.

"Come on, I'm on my break!" the police officer complained, not realizing the danger he was in.

At a diner sign where a mother and her three children were holding onto for dear life in fear, however one child fell off of the sign as the zombies rock it back in forth.

"Ryan!" the woman screamed with terror, as her child fell.

But there was nothing she could do, as the child transformed into a zombie was well.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage hid inside the dumpster away from the zombies. They had absolutely no clue what was going on, but it was really bad.

"Like, what was that?" Shaggy asked, with fear.

"It's some kind of...zombie," Courage said, assuming what it was due to the moaning. "And if he or she touches you, you turn into a zombie too!"

"Like, zoinks," Shaggy squeaked with fear.

"Raybe we'll be safe in here until this all blows over," Scooby suggested.

Moments later, the town was in chaos as the power was out, and the zombies were spreading like a virus across town.

A live reporter standing in the middle of a street, surrounded by a disastrous scene of zombies and terrified citizens. "I'm standing here in downtown Nowhere." the TV reporter said into the microphone, "It's an unbelievable scene. zombies touching people who turn into zombies. I am one of four people who is still unaffective by this contagion."

The TV reporter came to a dumpster, where he added, "The three unaffected people are in this dumpster."

Just then Shaggy, Scooby and Courage poked their heads out to see a TV reporter asking them questions.

"Rhe TV reporter?" Scooby asked.

"Like, how do you know we're in here?" Shaggy asked.

"I was napping in this dumpster when you snuck in, seeking refuge. And I actually know how to stop the apocalypse," the TV reporter said.

"Really? How?" Courage asked, wanting to stop this, as soon as possible.

But suddenly to the cowardly trio's horror a zombie came by and touched the reporter.

"Wait! How do you stop the apocalypse!?" Courage asked urgently, wanting to stop this and hope to survive this.

"You get a flashlight… and shine on the zombie who's responsible…for this," the TV reporter said, before transforming into a zombie and moaned.

Courage closed up the dumpster and turned to his best friends, "Guys we gotta go to the Nowhere cemetery to stop the zombies from spreading."

"Rut that is all away across town," Scooby said.

"Like, we can't go out there! We'll get turned into zombies if we go out there! Plus the cemetery is creepy at night!" Shaggy exclaimed.

Courage furrowed his brows, "Look guys, I'm not saying it's a brilliant plan, and it is a stretch, but we gotta do something! We can't spend the rest of our lives in the dumpster, and if I had to go out there and risk it, I'll do it! And I'll do it alone."

The hungry duo shared a glance. They were scared for their lives, but Courage had a point. They need to stop the zombies from turning people into zombies.

"Rokay, so what should we do?" Scooby asked.

Courage gave his friends a thankful expression before thinking to himself, "We need to get a flashlight, go to the cemetery shine the zombie who started the contagion and hopefully that'll stop the apocalypse."

Back in outside, the zombies were wreaking havoc everywhere.

"The computers are down!" the woman shouted.

"There's no Internet!" the 3rd man shouted.

"I've got to know what's going on!" the 4th man shouted as he ran to the news vendor, who got up and handed out printed newspaper.

"Yeah! Print is back, baby!" Martin the News Vendor grinned, before giving the newspaper to the man.

"Wait, this is all stuff that happened yesterday!" the 4th man realized before he ran and screamed just before a zombie touched Martin, transforming him into a zombie as well.

"Arrgh baby...", Martian spoke, in a moan.

Meanwhile, Shaggy had borrowed Eustace's truck to drive to a nearby store to get the flashlight they needed. He was able to drive around a playground invaded by the zombies, and the truck was now 'safely' on the road.

Courage immediately spotted the 'Dil's general store.' up head, "Okay, Shaggy. The store is only a couple of blocks away," He stated, seeing just how much closer they were to the the shop.

The trio were taken by surprise when a delivery truck had opened up to reveal a group of zombies.

"Crud! Turn right Shaggy!" Courage warned before Shaggy turned the truck away.

Shaggy made a left into the street were the store was at, Shaggy parked haphazardly in the driveway next to 'Dil's General Store.'

"Rhat do we do now?" Scooby asked, feeling eerily about how this area was almost too quiet, given on how the town was in chaos right now.

Courage swallowed and tried to calm down, he cautiously peaked out of window of the truck. And saw there was no zombie in sight.

The pink beagle turned to his best friends. Feeling his heart pound and keeping an eye at the store, Courage bravely said, "Guys, I'm gonna quickly gonna go into the store and come back unseen."

"Ro!" Scooby cried, hanging onto Courage, not wanting to let go.

"Like, are you crazy little pink dude!?" Shaggy commanded.

Courage squirm himself out of the Great Dane's grasp, he swallowed but didn't back down. "I know this sounds nuts, but I'm so small, I'll be able to slip in and out without detection."

The truck was eerily quiet, Scooby and Shaggy give uncertain and nervous glances at each other, they weren't so sure about this plan.

"Rre you sure about this, Rourage?" Scooby whispered.

Courage stared up at his friend, the same question lingering in Shaggy's eyes too.

"I-I am," the pink beagle answered, completely resolute.

The trio turned towards the store and it seems quiet for now, so it looks 'safe' at the moment, and there was probably enough time for Courage to sneak in and out to grabbed the flashlight from the store without any of the detection from the zombies.

Scooby swallowed," R-rust be careful, alright?" he stammered out.

"And please hurry back," Shaggy begged, not wanting to lose him to the zombie congation as well.

Courage swallowed, but remain determined, "I will."

Opening the truck door, Courage was desperate not to attract any zombies whatsoever. They weren't any zombies here for now and the store looks abandoned, but that didn't stop him from being paranoid about it.

Every sound outside of the truck nearly caused him to jump out of his skin. He was already thinking about all the awful things the zombies would do to him if he ever found him unprotected.

Courage cringed as he scurry to the entrance of the store, each and every footstep he took felt like a death sentence. He couldn't help but let out a sigh of relieve when his paws finally reach the doors as he opened them and close behind him. Taking a moment to calm himself down, Courage continued onward.

"I can't start panicking now," the cowardly pink beagle muttered to himself, "Keep it together. I've just got to keep it together."

Courage walked down to one of the aisles to search for a aisle for were they kept the flashlights. After a couple of minutes, he managed to find a aisle that kept flashlights.

"Yes!" Courage cheered quietly.

Courage was thankful there was a ladder nearby, as he was able to climb onto it and grabbed one of the flashlights that was on the shelf, he able to grabbed onto the batteries as well.

Now here comes the hard part, Courage knew he, Shaggy and Scooby had to go to the cemetery and find out who was responsible for this whole mess and get the citizens of Nowhere back to normal.

Courage wasn't sure how he, Shaggy and Scooby we're gonna pull this off, but they had to for Muriel's sake and the Town of Nowhere's sake.

The pink beagle slid down of the ladder, and was about to head out when…

CREAK!

He nearly had a heart attack. It was the unmistakeable sound of someone opening the store's doors. Was it the zombies? Oh, no! What if it was?

Courage had to force himself not to panic right then and there. Was there enough time to run away? Could he hide before he was caught?

"...Ohhhhh, what do I do? What do I do?" Courage whimpered to himself.

He was sure he had gone a ghostly pale color as the footsteps sound moved from the door and into the shop. He was certain that either zombies were going to catch him.

"Oh, no! Oh, no!" Courage whispered.

Trying not to panic, Courage calmly walked into another aisle, he was using it as a means to conceal himself from the front windows. Taking a deep breath, he waited for his heart to stop pounding.

"I can't stay in here," Courage whispered to himself. "Not unless I can find a way to hide in the backroom, but they might search in there too."

His heart nearly stopped for a second time when he heard the front doors of the store slide open. The heavy tromp of boots only confirmed his fears.

Tip-toeing over to the edge of the aisle, Courage peeked around the corner to find two zombies walking slowly around the store.

Courage gulped fearfully. On nearly silent paws, he slowly tip-toed backwards until he was in the middle of the aisle, still out in the open.

Trying to stay as quiet as possible, Courage slowly made his way to the other end of the aisle and whipped around the corner just as the zombies went to the spot he was hiding earlier.

Getting onto all fours, Courage quickly crawled across the floor past the first aisle. he made his way to the second aisle and turned into it. This was just as the zombies were doing the same thing in the opposite aisle Courage had just passed. Only they were going in the opposite direction.

Courage could see the zombies' feet through the gaps on the underside. Slowly but surely, the cowardly pink beagle kept going, crawling slowly. But as he reached the end of the aisle, an array of pots and pans fell down from the countertop. Courage yelped in shock and crawled faster. When he reached the other aisle, he ducked behind it and took a moment to breathe.

Over in the aisle they'd left, one of the zombies stuck his head through the gap of the counter top. It looked in, huffed in what sounded like annoyance, and pulled it's head back out. Courage breathed a sigh of relief, about to keep moving, only for a soup ladle to fall and clang noisily to the floor.

To his dismay, this caught the attention of the zombies , who paused in their walking for a brief moment. Courage inwardly cursed himself, then followed around the aisle to keep going.

Suddenly, a zombie leaped up right to where he was, landing just a foot or two away in front of him. Courage recoiled and sank back against the wall, his entire body freezing with horror and realization. With little room to escape, any attempt likely being futile, and the zombie getting closer, it was over.

"Oh no, no, no, no, no," Courage whimpered, his last hope was that Shaggy and Scooby could make out of this alive. That thought at least comforted him, despite the zombie now leaning closer and it's hands near inches from the little beagle. He squeezed his eyes shut and waited.

Suddenly, he heard a shout, "Rey!" Courage opened his eyes to see Shaggy and Scooby glaring at the zombies and holding two bats.

Breathing heavily, Shaggy glared at the zombie and yelled, "Back off from our buddy you slimy-jerk!"

Without wasting another second, he hit the zombie on the head, knocking it down unconsciously.

Panting heavily, Courage looked at Shaggy and Scooby with amazement. Had that really just happened?

But there was no time for questions as two more zombies. The trio screamed and ran opposite directions.

All the while, Scooby made a lot of noise and a big show of trying to "hide" himself, seeing through the reflection that the Big One was falling for it. He tried not to laugh or smile, he did have to look and sound scared.

Just as the one of the zombies leaped forward, it smacked smack it's head right into the reflection on the metal. It twitched spastically, clearly stunned by what had happened. Scooby grinned to himself and then crawled out of the compartment.

Scooby turned his head, and what he was seeing made his blood run cold.

Shaggy, who had been witnessed Scooby's amazing method of distraction. As he looked to see that the kitchen's walk-in freezer door was open, it gave him a perfect idea. He peered around the counters, seeing the other zombie inspecting the area nearby.

It was now or never. Quickly, Shaggy pulled himself up to his feet and made a mad dash toward the walk-in freezer.

Sure enough, the other zombie was completely intrigued and jumped down from the counter. It gave chase, strangely not going very fast, but still keeping up all the same. Shaggy kept on running, refusing to the look back.

Once he made it to the freezer, Shaggy quickly grabbed onto the pole that was nearest to the door and spun himself around. The zombie ran in as well, but was clearly unprepared for the slippery floor and went sliding across it rapidly. Comically.

As the zombie bumped into a mobile shelf, stunning himself for a moment, Shaggy took the opportunity to get out of there. He slipped a bit and made a run for it.

Shaggy hurried out of the freezer, making a grab for the door and trying to close it. But by then, the zombie had regained himself and ran in, blocking the door with it's hand.
"Dudes! dudes, come quick! Like, help me with the door!" Shaggy yelled out to his best friends.

"Way ahead of ya, Shaggy!" Courage yelled back as he ran over to help.

"Re're coming Raggy!" Scooby added.

Scooby and Courage pushed on the door the rest of the way, causing the zombie's hand to dislodge from it. Once the door was safely closed, Shaggy made sure to take hold of the locking latch and inserted it into the hole. Just to prevent any further incident. As bad as he felt for essentially causing one of the citizens of the zombie's victims to freeze to death, there was no other choice.

Shaggy exhaled heavily, leaning against the door to catch his breath. But right then, something grabbed him from behind, to which he gasped in fright.

"Relax, it's me!" Scooby said, grabbing his shoulders. "R,mon, we gotta get outta here!"

All Shaggy could do was nod.

"And we I got the flashlight and some batteries! Let's go!" Courage added.

The three best friends all ran and escaped through the back exit, just in time for more zombies to successfully break into the store.

Meanwhile, at another alleyway, a man named Shaun appeared.

"Don't touch me! I don't want to be a zomb...! Wait a second... That doesn't even make sense. You get touched by a zombie, you become a zombie? I mean, you can't just suddenly turned to a zombie by a touch," Shaun puzzled just as Ed arrived.

"I don't know, perhaps the disease infects your clothin' as well," Ed guessed.

"Infects my c... Are you insinuating that my clothes are alive? That's scarier than these zombies saying...", Shaun began, before he got touched and transformed.

Shaun moaned.

"Oh, I s'pose I didn't really think that through," Ed understood, as he got touched as well right before he transformed.

Ed moaned.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all crawled their way through a tunnel-like escape until reaching the end. Courage popped his head out of what looked like an ordinary tree stump, checking to make sure the coast was clear. he then gestured for Shaggy and Scooby to follow him, carefully stepping out and hurrying over to the back fence.

"Like, now what little pink dude?" Shaggy asked as he approached Courage by the fence.

"We've gotta make our way to that cemetery," Courage answered, pointing to the Nowhere cemetery, "I'm sure we'll find our answers there!"

The cowardly trio all pushed through the fence and began to run across the street, trying to be as sneaky as they could.

"Re made it!" Scooby said, seeing they were only a few feet away from cemetery entrance.

And fortunately, there were no zombies surrounding it, just car damages.

"Okay, guys. Let's go. Quietly," Courage instructed.

The trio crawled to the fence, and poked their heads to check to make sure they're no zombies in sight, unfortunately they're two zombies. Two zombies that Shaggy, Scooby and Courage hope to never see again.

It was Tarantella and Volkhiem.

"The zombies are transforming people into more zombies," Volkhiem said.

"Excellent," Tarantella grinned, "As soon as we get more zombies, we'll be able to make movies of our zombies for all eternity."

Both Tarantella and Volkhiem both laughed manically, sending chills down to the cowardly trio's spines.

"So that's what they're planning," Courage realized with horror.

"Re gotta stop this," Scooby said, with fear.

Shaggy then heard moaning and turned around but immediately regretted doing so.

The zombie was behind him, moaning with his hand in the air.

Shaggy shrieked as the zombie pressed its palm against his face, causing him to shake.

"SHAGGY!/RAGGY!" Scooby and Courage cried in unison and watched as Shaggy transformed into a zombie right before their eyes.

Scooby reached his paw out and sniffed, "Raggy! I— I can't..."

Courage stared solemnly at his best friend, "Scooby, we have to go."

"R-Rut I can't just—" the Great Dane stammered, still unable to process the loss.

"I know," Courage said, looking deep into his eyes. "But the only way to save him is to keep going! We'll get him back, I promise!"

Scooby sighed and slowly nodded. He knew Courage was right. He had to keep moving forward. For Shaggy. For Muriel. For the entire town. He had to be strong no matter what.

They continued moving forward, they hopped up onto their paws and ran to the cemetery as fast as they could, despite already being out of breath. Unbeknownst to them, however, the zombies were thinking ahead. They all began to walk slowly, intending to infect the two dogs and prevent them from saving the town.

They were stopped in their tracks, since they were now surrounded by zombies at every end.

"Re're not gonna make it!" Scooby exclaimed, as he and Scooby leaned against each other with terror. He didn't want to admit it, but things were looking bad. Really bad. They were the only ones untouched by zombies, and now they were trapped. If they couldn't get to shine the flashlight onto Volkhiem, then it would be the end of life in Nowhere.

Courage shook his head determinedly. He wasn't ready to give up just yet. He had faith that his best friend could do this on his own, even if it meant sacrificing himself. He put his hand to Scooby's shoulder and spoke with a serious tone, "No. You Scooby will make it."

Courage instantly charged at the zombies that were blocking the way.

"Rhat? Rourage! Ro!" Scooby pleaded, now realizing what his best friend was doing.

Courage grunted, turning around to hand him the flashlight. "G-go!" and he mutated right before Scooby's eyes.

Scooby felt tears well up in his eyes...so he was gone now too. The zombies had taken everyone he cared about: Muriel and even Shaggy and Courage now. He could feel the anger boiling in his body, but he knew he didn't have time for that otherwise Courage will have sacrificed himself for nothing. He stared at the zombie that was Courage, almost unable to comprehend it. It was then he realized...he was the lone survivor now. He had to get to shine the flashlight onto Volkhiem and save Nowhere, save his family and friends.

Scooby sniffled, "Rull yourself together, Scooby," he said to himself, "Ron't break just yet. Rt's up to you to save Rourage. Rt's up to you to save all of Nowhere. Rt's up to you...to...stop talking to yourself."

Scooby ran to the gravestone next to Tarantella and Volkhiem, he turned on the flashlight, unfortunately this caused the attention to the zombies, as they walked towards the Great Dane.

Scooby nearly panicked, which warned him to speed things up. He jumped out of his hiding place and shouted, "Rey zombies!"

The zombies turned, and Scooby just before he could flash the flashlight onto the two zombies, he felt a cold-clammy hand grab at his tail.

Scooby give out a screech of fear, "Ro! Rotta do this..." he was able to shine the flashlight onto the two just as he transformed into a zombie himself.

"NOOOOOOOO!" Tarantella and Volkhiem screamed, as they turned to dust.

With the sun dawning over the horizon, the citizens transformed back into their original selves. Many of them were confused as to why they ended up in random places in the town, but though their heads were hurting and their memories were foggy, they still remembered why it all happened.

"Oh my," Muriel said, as she transformed back to her original self, "What happened?"

"Eh! Where's my dinner!?" Eustace demanded, as he transformed back and not realizing what just happened.

Then, the rest of the zombies transformed back to normal with Shaun and Ed among the zombies.

"I still say this makes no sense at all,"Shaun commented.

"I know, right?" Ed agreed.

Courage groaned and fluttered his eyes open. He had no idea just how long he was out for, but seeing the morning sunlight, he assumed for at least a few minutes.

"Scooby!" Courage called out after reaching the top, seeing the dizzy Scooby sitting up against the gravestone, seemingly lost in his thoughts. But Courage snapped out of it upon hearing his voice, "Are you okay?"

"Reah, I'm okay, just bit of a headache,"Scooby answered, slowly standing up and walking over to him.

"Are you dudes okay?"

The two dogs smiled and turned to see the sandy-haired teenager climbing up walking up to them.

"Raggy!" Scooby said with relief, as he jumped onto his owner, "Rou're okay!"

Shaggy chuckled, "Okay, okay Scoob, I'm glad you're okay too."

"I'm glad that's all over," Courage sighed with relief.

The three stared at the sunrise, sighing heavily.

Shaggy looked dow at the two dogs, "Like, come guys, let's get something to eat."

"Roh-boy!" Scooby said excitedly, as he raced after his owner who already started to walk out of the cemetery.

"Wait for me guys!" Courage called, as he raced after his best friends.

Just as the trio walked out of the cemetery, a zombie walked towards them slowly, indicating that not all of the zombies where gone.
