The family were at some antique show, Scooby and Courage were with Muriel, as she was trying to find a gift for Eustace. Today is their wedding anniversary.
"They've got everything at this bazaar, Courage and Scooby," Muriel said, as she picked up an old-fashioned clock, "I know I'll find Eustace the perfect anniversary gift."
Courage picked up a pinwheel, before showing it to Scooby, "Hey Scooby, look, a pinwheel," he said, as he began to blow on it.
"Rool," Scooby said.
Courage also let Scooby had a turn, the pink beagle began to blow harder, making the pinwheel go faster. It was then he made the fatal mistake of bringing the fan close to his ears, and like a buzzsaw, sound included, the pinwheel tore to shreds Courage's ears.
"RI got you Rourage," Scooby said, as he helped him free his ears from the now-destroyed pinwheel.
"Thanks Scooby," Courage moaned, a bit from the pain in his shredded ears.
"Isn't this grand, Courage?" Muriel asked, excited, "I'm so excited I can hardly feel that wood tick stuck on my toe," she added before wincing, "Ooh, I take that back. If you wouldn't mind, Courage..."
Courage grabbed the bottle of anti-bug liquid, he took off Muriel's boot to reveal a giant wood tick biting her big toe, making him gasped a little.
"Roh," Scooby said, wincing.
"Sorry bug, but Muriel is off limits," Courage said to the bug.
"Reah, off limits," Scooby added in.
Courage applied the liquid all over the tick, causing it to become woozy and stop biting Muriel's toe.
"Thank you Courage. That feels much better," Muriel said, smiling before inserting her foot back into her boot. She then stomped it on the floor to better fit and possibly squish the tick, "I can walk just fine now."
Muriel then asked one more question, "Have you boys seen Shaggy?"
"Ro," Scooby shrugged.
"But we'll go find him," Courage volunteered, as the two dogs went to find their best friend.
Elsewhere, Shaggy was by the medallion booth, with two medallions in his hand, as he pay the lady who was working with some money.
"Like, thanks for the medallions dudette," Shaggy thanked.
Scooby and Courage just than ran up to the cowardly teen.
"Hey Shaggy, whatcha got?" Courage asked, as he noticed to two medallions Shaggy was carrying.
"Custom made medallions for Aunt Muriel and Uncle Eustace's anniversary," Shaggy replied, as he show the two dogs the medallions that both had the old couple's faces on it.
"Rhoa," Scooby said, with astonishment.
"Cool medallions Shag," Courage complimented.
"I just hope they like it, I'm gonna give it to them when we get home," Shaggy said, as he put the two medallions in his bag.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage walked to the auto compartments, where they find Muriel and Eustace by the stand.
"Oh, Eustace, I found you the perfect anniversary gift," Muriel told him while clasping her hands together.
"Uh...Me, too. Uh, I got you...A hat," Eustace stuttered, before placing the hubcap he had on Muriel's head, "It suits you."
Shaggy narrowed his eyes, at his uncle, "Smooth move, Uncle Eustace."
A whistle then just drew the family's attention, curious as Shaggy, Scooby and Courage turned to the source. And to their surprise, the three saw that it was Shirley who whistled to them.
"Speaking of smooth, it's Shirley," Courage said.
"Oh, look, Eustace. Oh. Ooh! OH! OH!" Muriel exclaimed, before picking up a beautiful blue necklace with a heart attached to it.
"What are you making those weird sounds for?" Eustace asked, angry.
"She sighs because she burns to possess the beautiful amulet," Shirley explained.
"Mmm-hmm," Courage agreed.
"Groovy amulet, dog dudette," Shaggy put in.
"Reah, groovy," Scooby added.
"You may have the precious treasure for a mere five dollars," Shirley told them.
"Five dollars for that?! You're crazy!" Eustace exclaimed, shocked.
"Five dollars," Shirley repeated, unfazed by Eustace's outburst.
"Okay, uh...I'll give you the dogs," Eustace said, while pointing to Scooby and Courage.
Scooby and Courage both gasped at that.
"Run!" Shaggy shouted.
"Stupid dogs and stupid nephew! Get back here!" Eustace shouted, angered.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage ran to another booth, far away from Eustace.
"Like, Uncle Eustace has gone too far," Shaggy said, catching his breath.
"Giving me away is one thing," Courage said.
"Rut giving me away, is another thing," Scooby finished.
"At least Muriel is there. She's against the farmer, from giving me away," Courage said, with relief. The pink beagle then noticed a bear trap between him, "I wonder if this trap works."
Courage then started playing with a golden bear trap, he placed his tongue on the trap, which, unfortunately, activated it and caused it to clamp down on his tongue, causing him to scream with pain.
"Hold still little pink dude," Shaggy told the pink beagle, as he and Scooby they ran over to Courage.
"Re got you Rourage," Scooby assured.
Courage who now has the golden bear trap, was now part of his mouth and acting as his teeth.
Before either Shaggy and Scooby could help him get if off, they heard Shirley screaming.
"WHAT! THIS IS NOT OIL WELL! THIS IS OIL BILL! I HAVE BEEN SWINDLED!" Shirley screamed, infuriated.
Looking to her, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw that she had pulled out a bellow.
"Swindling man and Swindling wife, bear this curse upon your life: instead of swindling for your lover, you shall swindle one another!" Shirley declared, before squeezing the bellow with a purple mist coming from the hole in the front.
The smoke then began to make its way to Muriel and Eustace rapidly.
Courage gasped, his mouth opening wide enough for the bear trap to fall out. "Back to the truck!"
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage then made a mad dash for Muriel and Eustace. Eustace start up the truck, thankfully, the trio managed to get in the back before he drove off.
"Magic smoke is coming! Magic smoke is coming!" Courage warned, but as usual it fell on deaf ears.
"Oh, Eustace, I'm all in a tizzy about the new necklace," Muriel said, holding the necklace close to herself.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage then saw that the purple smoke had reappeared.
"Rikes!" Scooby cried.
"Zoinks!" Shaggy exclaimed.
Courage gasped, when the smoke started going around Eustace and Muriel.
"I really got to get that exhaust pipe fixed,"Eustace commented, as the smoke started entering his and Muriel's heads and through their ears.
"Uncle Eustace, what have you done now?" Shaggy asked, as he shook his head.
"Why is that every time that we run into Shirley, bad things start to happen?" Courage questioned.
"Rne word. Rustace," Scooby commented, with narrow eyes.
"Like your right Scoob. It's all because of Uncle Eustace's greed and cold heart that causes him to have bad things happen to him," Shaggy stated.
"Rike the rain cloud," Scooby reminded, remembering a different curse that Shirley placed on him a month ago.
"We better keep an eye on Muriel and Eustace, or my name is Swindler McGee, and it's not," Courage suggested.
Back at home, the family had just finished their lunch.
"Look how it sparkles," Muriel said, getting the trio's attention.
Turning to her, the three saw that she was holding the necklace to the light. But before she could continue, she suddenly dropped the necklace as a poof of purple smoke appeared in front of her eyes.
"Rhat was that?" Scooby asked, surprised.
"Yeah, yeah. What's for dessert?" Eustace asked, impatient.
"Your favorite, creme brulee," Muriel answered as she lifted a cloche to reveal the delicious cupcake underneath.
"Oh," Eustace said, drooling as he reached for the cupcake.
But to the trio's surprise, Muriel covered it with cloche again before bringing out another two cloches.
"Huh?" Eustace asked.
"Like, Aunt Muriel, what are you doing?" Shaggy asked, as Muriel started shuffling the cloches around at lightning speeds.
"Come and get it," Muriel said with an uncharacteristic devious smirk.
Grumbling, Eustace started lifting each cloche, only to become surprised when he lifted the last one yet still did not see his cupcake.
"WHAT?" Eustace said, surprised.
"Where did it go?" Courage asked.
But he and his best friends received their answer when the three heard Muriel giggling. Turning to her, the trio saw that she had swiped the cupcake and was now eating it.
"Hey! You swindled me out of my dessert!" Eustace shouted, angry.
"Like, not cool Aunt Muriel," Shaggy scolded his aunt.
Eustace then pulled out a deck of cards, "I'll play you for your piece. Double or nothing."
"I already ate mine, loser," Muriel told him, causing him to growl.
"It's the brain alien all over again," Courage groaned, remembering the alien that try to steal Muriel's kindness a month ago.
Suddenly, the same purple mist appeared briefly in front of Eustace.
"Rhat can't be good," Scooby said, worried as Eustace grabbed the teapot.
"Why don't you wash down that dessert with some tea?" Eustace suggested, as he poured Muriel a fresh cup.
"There's a fine idea," Muriel said, as she down the cup in one go.
"You do look thirsty, have some more," Eustace said, as he poured her another cup, which she drank in one go again.
This went back and forth for the next couple of minutes until no more tea came from the teapot.
"Gotta get you some more tea," Eustace said, opening the lid of the teacup to see nothing inside. He then got up and left the kitchen.
"OH, MY!" Muriel gasped, "All that tea. Nature is calling," she got up and running out of the kitchen.
"Huh?" Courage asked, confused.
Eustace had paid Muriel to go to the bathroom with money and her rocking chair, and was now laughing as he counted the money in Muriel's rocking chair.
"Every time a winner. Who is next? Come on, come on, come on, come on!" Muriel shouted, getting Eustace's attention. She was wearing sunglasses, dice, and a dice cup, she placed the dice in the dice cup and started shaking it. Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were next to the old woman.
Scooby and Courage were both having peanuts in their paws.
"Come on! Come on! Step up! Step up! Step up! Who's next? Come on! Come on! Come on!" Muriel called.
Courage whispered, to the Great Dane, "I don't even wanna take part in this scam."
"Rell me about it," Scooby agreed.
Muriel let it roll after a second, with the die landing on a six, "Dogs goes home with six peanuts."
"Still I love peanuts," Courage said, smiling at the peanuts.
"Us too/Rus too," Scooby and Shaggy agreed, in unison.
Unfortunately, the moment was cut short when Eustace reached his family.
"Stupid dogs!" Eustace shouted, before kicking the two dogs away.
Shaggy ran over to the two dogs, "Are you dudes alright?"
"Re're okay Raggy," Scooby reassured his best friend.
"But not the farmer. Ugh he's such a grouch!" Courage put in.
"Playing for peanuts!" Eustace said, as he placed his television on the table, which surprisingly did not buckle under the weight.
"Man puts up a telly. Lady Luck rules,"Muriel said before tossing the dice into her palm, where it bounced off and onto the table, "Come on, come on, come on."
Eustace laughed, thinking he got this. Unfortunately, the dice landed on the word's loser. "NO!"
"Man goes home without a telly," Muriel said before lifting the television and started walking towards the kitchen.
Not giving up, Eustace raced the door to try and stop her.
"HEY! WAIT A-" He began before being cut off by Muriel.
"The cops. Beat it," Muriel said, causing him to panic and run away.
Only to realize he was still in the living room, he then began to throw a tantrum.
"Rell, that what he get's for betting on the TV," Scooby commented.
For the next couple of minutes, Muriel grabbed a sponge and began to clean the fridge, with Shaggy, Scooby and Courage helping out. everything was quiet, but that all stopped when the family heard what sounded like a sheep.
"Since when did we get a sheep?" Shaggy asked, confused.
"We don't have a sheep," Courage pointed out, to the cowardly teen.
Scooby eyed at the 'sheep' suspiciously, "Romething fishy is going on here."
"Gonna be rain. Baa! I feel it in my wool. Forty days, forty nights. Lots of rain. Baa!" the 'sheep' warned.
"Oh, my," Muriel gasped.
"But we've checked the weather this morning and their is no rain," Courage reminded, but then thought of something. "Wait a minute."
"Like, I know that voice anywhere," Shaggy said, as the voice sounded familiar.
"Re too," Scooby agreed.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage began to look around for the source and Shaggy quickly found the wire attached to the sheep.
"Guys look," Shaggy said, showing the dogs the wire.
"A wire," Courage said, when he, Shaggy and Scooby saw it was nothing but a fake sheep.
"Save yourself. And two of every kind of fancy kitchenware you got," the sheep continued.
"So get that fridge out front now. Heed this sheep Bah!" the 'sheep' laughed, cruelly.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage heard the sound of the fridge being moved across the floor. Turning around, the three noticed that Muriel had actually fallen for Eustace's lies and was now pushing the refrigerator towards the front door.
"Our work is never easy," Courage said, exasperated.
"Come on," Shaggy said, as he and the two dogs followed Muriel out the door.
However, once outside, the three saw water falling from the sky, but they quickly realized that it was only Eustace with the hose.
Muriel finished placing everything in the fridge and finally noticed that water.
"Don't fall for it Muriel," Courage tried to warn her.
"Like, your being scammed," Shaggy warned.
"Reah, scammed!" Scooby added.
"You might need an umbrella," Eustace, said through the sheep.
"Oh! Be right back boys," Muriel said, before heading back inside.
Eustace merely laughed as he got up and pushed the fridge to the side, "Don't interfere!"
And just in time as Muriel returned with her umbrella but became confused.
"Where's the rain? Where's my stuff? Where's my fridge?!" Muriel asked before glaring at the trio, thinking they had taken her stuff.
"With the farmer," Courage said, irritated as he scratched his head.
Back inside, Muriel was walking into the living room with various instruments on her body.
"Well, Nowhere needs a band with a capital "B" that rhymes with "T" that shares an alphabet with "P" and that stands "Please Join Up and Pay Me." Muriel sang.
"YOU'RE MAKING ME DEAF!" Eustace exclaimed.
Come on, join up, don't just sit there. And whatever you do, don't throw your chair.
Eustace growled, balling his fists in anger.
"RATCH OUT!" Scooby shouted, before he, Shaggy and Courage got hit with the red chair.
Or your grandfather clock.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage grunted as the grandfather clock landed on them.
OR YOUR FLOOR
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage screamed as Eustace threw a chunk of the floor at them.
"I've always known that swindling can hurt. But I've never thought it can hurt too much," Courage groaned with pain.
"You can say that again little pink dude," Shaggy moaned with pain.
"Rowie," Scooby groaned with pain.
Or your-" Muriel began but was stopped when Courage covered her mouth.
However, Muriel simply retaliated by bringing out some clash cymbals and slammed them together, the sound was loud enough to get Courage off of her and for Shaggy and Scooby to cover their ears.
"Zoinks, what are we going to do now?" Shaggy said, as he helped Courage up.
"Rone of this would of happened, if Rustace hadn't ripped off Rhirley," Scooby said, in frustration.
Huh?' Courage asked, raising his arm.
Looking at his hand, Shaggy and Scooby noticed that he took the necklace with him when he fell off Muriel.
"Guys, it's time to pay Shirley a little visit," Courage said, as Muriel and Eustace began trying to swindle each other again.
"Look there's Shirley," Shaggy said, pointing towards where Shirley was. Luckily, she was in the same spot from earlier in the day.
"Come on," Courage said, as he, Shaggy and Scooby ran towards Shirley.
"Shirley!/Rhirley!" Shaggy, Scooby and Courage shouted, as they ran closer to her.
"Hello again, what can I do for you?" Shirley asked.
"Here's your amulet," Courage said, as he handed the green chihuahua the necklace
"Just turn back my aunt and uncle back," Shaggy pleaded.
"Rlease!?" Scooby begged.
"Giving back what your friends have swindled will not undo the curse, they must suffer," Shirley said before laughing, "It is too bad."
"But what is this?" Shirley asked, as she walked towards one of the crystal balls.
Curious, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage moved to stand next to her and looked towards the ball as well, and to their surprise, the three saw two teenagers with banana heads sitting in a car. They seemed distraught at having banana heads, yet the guy seemed to be trying to comfort his friend.
"That is so sweet, he cares about the suffering of another. Eh, I undo the curse," Shirley said, as she wave at the crystal ball, and their heads turned back to normal.
"Aw!/Raw! Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all said in unison.
"Love conquers all," Shaggy said, as he watched the teens embrace each other.
"Ro romantic," Scooby added.
"Love? That's it. Come on guys," Courage responded, as he had an idea.
Looking around, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw that all of their possessions were in various corners of the living room. They had even torn up some of the pipes.
"Zoinks, we gotta undo the curse before they swindle their barrel," Shaggy said.
"The last thing I wanna see is the farmer naked," Courage cringed, with disgust.
"What do you got left?" Eustace asked, as they circled each other.
"What do you got?" Muriel asked back.
"I asked you first," Eustace countered, not backing down.
"Cheeky, aren't you," Muriel said, not taking her eyes off Eustace.
"Eustace," Courage said, as he, Shaggy and Scooby headed towards Muriel.
"Aunt Muriel has a tick on her toe," Shaggy explained, as he brought out a giant magnifying glass and placed it in front of Muriel's foot to show Eustace the wood tick.
"Reah, tick," Scooby said, as Eustace saw the tick biting on Muriel's toe.
"What? How'd she keep that from me?" Eustace asked, confused and surprised. "HEY! LOOK OVER THERE!" he shouted, while pointing behind Muriel.
And as soon as Muriel turned around, Eustace went into his barrel and fell to the floor. He then rolled closer and stuck his big toe towards the tick.
"Oh, moving is always a hassle. But it does have more space," the tick said, surprising the trio, before leaping off Muriel's toe and biting Eustace's big toe.
"Are you alright Aunt Muriel?" Shaggy asked.
"I feel so much better thanks to your Uncle Eustace!" Muriel cheered, while dancing a bit.
Eustace laughed before screaming in pain as the tick's bites finally registered in his mind.
"It worked," Courage smiled.
"Rokay Rhirley, turn them back," Scooby called out, as purple fog mysteriously appeared in the living room and started surrounding them.
Later that night, Shaggy had already given his gifts to Muriel and Eustace, Muriel was smiling wit glee as she hugged her nephew, as her thanks, while Eustace, surprisingly thank Shaggy a bit, but didn't say anything after that. Now Shaggy and Scooby were on the couch, while Courage was on Muriel's lap on her rocking chair.
"You see, boys, when you go around swindling people, sooner or later you get swindled yourself. That's why honesty is always best. Isn't that right, Eustace?" Muriel asked.
Tuning to Eustace, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage laughed a bit when they noticed him playing cards against the tick.
"So, if I win, you get packing. If you win, you can move to my earlobe," Eustace said as he moved the cards around in his hand, smiling, he turned them around to reveal five aces. "Five aces. What do you say to that, tick?"
"Six aces. I'm moving up," the tick answered, laughing as he revealed his hand filled with aces.
"We get the picture Aunt Muriel," Shaggy snickered a bit.
"Looks like the farmer got himself a new roommate," Courage giggled.
"Reah," Scooby laughed, "Scooby-Dooby-Doo!"
