Currently, Shaggy and Scooby were in the living room, eating sandwiches, listening to the Hex Girls, 'I'm Gonna Put A Spell on You.' and watching Courage perform tricks with his yoyo that he recently found again.
However, Courage stopped when Eustace stomped towards him with a broom in his hands, and went over to the radio and turned off the music.
"What was that darn rock and roll music you were listening to Shaggy-haired-fella?" Eustace asked, in a irritated voice.
"Like, that rock and roll music we're listening to happens to be The Hex Girls," Shaggy explained.
"I still can't believe that when you first met them, that writer you encountered, Ben Ravencroft, would trick you guys into getting his ancestor's spell book," Courage said, he had heard the story when they're in Oakhaven that they're encountered by a Ben Ravencroft, who was actually a warlock.
"RI know, that was very creepy," Scooby shuddered, still shivering at the memory when Ben was dragged into the book by Sarah Ravencroft, who happened to be a witch.
"Blah blah, blah. What you playing like a girlie for, and what you two listening to your stupid rock and roll for when I told you three to sweep the porch?" Eustace asked, while taking the yoyo away before shoving the broom into Courage's paws.
Courage whimpered at Eustace's demanded, while Shaggy and Scooby glared at the old man.
"Stupid dogs and stupid nephew," Eustace
mocked, before tossing the yoyo out the open window. Yet, instead of hearing the sound of the yoyo hitting the dirt ground, the four heard the sound of water splashing. "What's huh?"
"Huh, that sounds like a splash of water," Courage said, as he heard the water.
"Rater?" Scooby asked, with confusion.
The four headed over to the window, and to their great surprise, they saw a lake surrounding the house that wasn't there earlier.
"Zoinks, it is water" Shaggy exclaimed, with shock.
"Eustace!" Shaggy, Scooby and Courage heard Muriel call out from behind them. "Did you sweep the porch like I told you?"
"Yeah, yeah," Eustace brushed her question off, as he was still wondering about the lake, "Hey, when we get a lake?"
"A lake?" Muriel asked, confused, as she walked to where her family was looking at and was shock as well. "Oh my!"
"There's gotta be an explanation, the weather man said that there was not going to be any rain last night," Courage said, feeling a bit suspicious about this.
"I guess the weatherman was wrong this time, little Courage guy," Shaggy responded.
"Rut still we got a lake," Scooby put in, really wanna to go swimming.
Shaggy giggled, "Come on, let's get ready," before running to the attic, to put on his swim trunks.
"Okay, but put on sunscreen first," Courage advised, as he and Scooby raced after Shaggy, sometimes Shaggy forgets to put on sunscreen.
The family were all standing on the porch of the farmhouse in their swimwear, despite being suspicious about how the lake got here, they were not going to waste this opportunity to go swimming.
"Gorgeous! But where do you suppose it came from?" Muriel asked.
"Who cares? It's mine now. Lake Eustace. Here I come," Eustace answered, before jumping into the lake.
Courage laughed as he came up next to Shaggy and Scooby, he was wearing an inflatable ring in the shape of a duck, "Ready Mr Ducky?" he asked, before squeezing his duck ring, making a quack sound much like a real duck.
"Looks like Mr Ducky is ready for take off. Ready Scoob?" Shaggy asked, before turning to the Great Dane.
Scooby give Shaggy a thumbs up, "Ran't have summer without swimming."
Courage went over to the water, before giving it a test and the water felt fine and it was the perfect day for swimming.
"Like let's jump in on the count of three," Shaggy said, as he and the dogs got ready to jump, "One. Two Thr-"
Shaggy was cut off by his uncle, "Hey! No dogs in my lake!"
"Rogs, where?" Scooby asked, as he looked around.
"Scooby, he's talking about us," Courage said.
"Roh," Scooby replied.
"Go sweep the porch, dogs, like I told you! Same with you nephew!" Eustace shouted.
"Like, that's not fair," Shaggy retorted.
"Life ain't fair," Eustace spat, as he splashed Shaggy, Scooby and Courage with the lake water and deflating Courage's duck ring.
This made Courage whimpered, as Scooby glared at the old man, for making Courage sad.
"Aunt Muriel," Shaggy said, really wanting to go swimming.
"I'll handle this boys. Eustace, that's your job," Muriel scolded Eustace.
"I got lakefront property now. I'm a CEO," Eustace mocking with laughter, as he swam.
"More like CENO," Courage whispered to Shaggy and Scooby, making them both snickered.
"Such nonsense," Muriel retorted before turning to Courage, Scooby and Shaggy, as Courage was blowing air into his tube. "Courage, you and Scooby just come with me into the water and enjoy yourself, you're welcome to join too Shaggy. It's our lake, too."
Muriel jumped into the water, "Whee!"
Muriel splashed onto the cowardly trio making them all laugh, as Muriel giggled and splash a little onto the lake.
"Like, let's try this again," Shaggy said, as he prepared to jump into the lake as well, "One. Two-" he began.
"Three/Rhree," Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all said in unison, as the three took in as much air as they could, and jumped into the water together. However, instead of coming back to the surface, the three were dragged down deeper into the water for some reason.
Like, wow, it's deeper than I thought. Shaggy thought, as he looked around.
Looking at each other, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage silently nodded to each other in agreement to explore around.
Now that the three were deep underwater, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage couldn't even see the bottom of the lake.
Just how deep are we? Courage thought, hearing some snapping sounds, the pink beagle looked up and saw that the lobster had found his yoyo.
My yoyo! Courage thought, as he swim to the lobster to grabbed it, only to be denied.
Darn it. Courage complained in his head.
Mild tightening in the trio's chests told them that it was definitely time to reach the surface. Shaggy, Scooby and Courage swam up to the surface, soon the three best friends emerges from the deep depths of the lake. The trio exhaled, gasping for oxygen.
"Some people are just too grabby," Courage said, recalling the lobster that took his yoyo.
"Reah, grabby," Scooby agreed.
"Courage, Shaggy, Scooby, come on in! We need your help!" Shaggy, Scooby and Courage heard Muriel shout.
"That sounds like Aunt Muriel, she sounds like she's in trouble," Shaggy said, getting worried now.
"Come on," Courage said, as he and his best friends swam to the farmhouse.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage gasped when they saw the lake start to flood the house. Entering, the three saw Eustace sitting in his chair, unaware or uncaring that the house was flooding.
"This is even better, don't got to leave my chair," Eustace said, while taking out a fishing rod.
Scooby rolled his eyes, "Ralk about lazy."
"Boys, in here!" Muriel shouted from the kitchen.
Moving through the water, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage entered the kitchen and saw that it was flooded as well.
"I think there's a wee leak in the lake,"Muriel said, as she used a ladle to scoop some water into the sink.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage swam over grabbed some pots and try to get the water out, but it was entire futile.
"Maybe the leak in the lake isn't so wee," Muriel said, as the water rose above her head, completely submerged underwater.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage gasped with worry, fearing Muriel might drown.
"Gee I wonder why?" Shaggy asked, feeling scared at more water flooded in.
Thankfully, Muriel's head went back up the surface, as she spit a fish out, "Oh my!"
However, the family felt the house shake a bit, they were confused as to what was causing the house to shake. That is until the trio looked out the window and saw the house was now floating above the foundation.
"Ruys, the house is floating," Scooby said, frantically.
"This is not good," Courage whined, as he looked around with panic.
Hearing the sound of water rushing, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage turned around and saw the door open with water flooding the kitchen again, completely submerging the three underwater.
"Gonna open one of them water parks, charge a fortune!" Eustace greedily said, as the water brought his chair into the kitchen.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all gasped as they broke the surface.
"Like, how can you think of money at a time like this!?" Shaggy panted, as he gasp for air.
Eustace didn't answer his nephew, as he kept fishing for some fish. Shaggy, Scooby and Courage swam to the door, as Scooby opened the door, there was a wall of water. Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all gasped, as they brace themselves, and took deep breaths.
But after a split second, the water didn't came in, leaving the trio confused.
"Huh? Usually water would come through here," Courage commented.
But as he jinxed it, the water came through and submerging Shaggy, Scooby and Courage with them. The three manage to emerge above the surface, taking in some much needed air.
"I really gotta stop jinxing everything," Courage commented, dryly.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage swam out of the house, and wandering how are they gonna get to the source, without getting exhausted.
Fortunately Shaggy got an idea, "Like," hold on I got just the thing," he said, as he gets out a capsule, pushes the button, throws it into the water.
And to Courage's surprise, it transformed into a boat.
"Whoa! Where did you get that Shaggy?" Courage asked, impressive by this.
"From Velma. She said this could come in handy at times like this," Shaggy explained.
"Impressive," Courage commented.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage swam up to the boat and hopped in.
"Onward!" Shaggy declared.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage begin to row the boat, to find out how to fix their water problem.
Ten minutes later, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all gasped as they finally reached Nowhere Town.
"Is it just me or is Nowhere starting to remind me of Venice?" Shaggy asked, shocked.
"This looks bad," Courage said, as he looked down and was barely able to make out the ground.
"Rhat is the cause of all this?" Scooby asked.
"I don't know Scoob. But it's up to us to find out why," Shaggy responded.
Shaggy? Scooby and Courage keep rowing, until the boat hit something. Looking up, the cowardly trio saw that we had hit a giant metal arm, and to their shock and disbelief it was the Statue of Liberty.
Scooby give out a scream of enrage, "Rou…Rou..MANIACS! Rou did it! Rou finally really did it!"
"Scooby, calm down," Courage patted the Great Dane's back.
Scooby shook his head, "Rorry."
"Like okay, it's official, the world is officially doomed!" Shaggy panicked.
"Reah doomed!" Scooby added, with frantic.
Courage tried to get his best friends to calm down, "We gotta find the source to all this or my name is Steamboat Willy and it's not."
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage continued to row their boat
'Huh?' Courage suddenly said.
Turning around, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw another boat, however, they didn't see any oars.
"Look another boat," Shaggy said, pointing.
"Raybe he might know about the cause of all this," Scooby suggested.
"Well, let's go ask," Courage insisted.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage row up the to the boat.
"Excuse me dude?" Shaggy asked.
"Do you happen to know where we are?" Courage put in.
"Oh, yeah. This here's the OI' Nowhere River. Yup, that's what it is, all right. Busted its banks for some reason. Must be something huge blocking it up. Somewhere up over there," the man answered, as he point towards the right.
"Huh?" Courage asked, as he turned his head.
"RI don't see anything," Scooby said, as he squinted his eyes.
"Like dudes, we still need to get over there and fast," Shaggy reminded.
"Good thing I saved this. As long as I got this straw, I'm a motorboat," the man answered while pulling out a giant red straw. He then placed it in the water before blowing into it, and true to his word, he became a motorboat and sped off into the distance.
"Like, thanks for the help!" Shaggy called.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage then continued their journey to find the source. After about five minutes, the trio saw another boat from the distance, Shaggy and Scooby's eyes widened, as they regnizaed who was on that boat.
It was The Hex Girls. There was Thorn, whose real name was Sally McKnight. Beautiful, with dark black hair, with red highlights, and green eyes. She wore her signature red and black dress. She was the guitarist and lead singer for the band.
Also there, were her two band mates, Dusk, and Luna.
Dusk had blonde hair, and wore a dark green gothic dress, with green lipstick. She was the drummer of the band.
Luna had orange hair, dark eyes, wore a black purple dress, and gold earrings. She was the keyboardist and also served as a back up singer along with Dusk.
Courage's eyes widened and he felt like he was on the verge of having a panic attack. The pink beagle's teeth chattered and his body trembled with fear. He give out a scream of terror, "VAMPIRES!" he then hid behind Scooby.
"Rourage, Rourage. Rit's okay, it's the Hex Girls," Scooby assured the cowardly beagle.
"Like yeah, it's just our old friends," Shaggy added, trying to calm the little dog down.
The Hex Girls' eyes all widened when they recognized their old friends.
"Shaggy, Scooby, is that you?" Thorn asked, as she row her boat towards the trio's boat.
"Like, girls, it's been a while," Shaggy said.
"What are you doing here?" Thorn asked.
"My mom send me and Scoob on vacation with my aunt and uncle for the summer," Shaggy explained.
"Rad," Luna said.
Dusk then noticed Courage, who was staring at them nervously, "Who's the little dog?"
Scooby then introduced Courage to the Hex Girls, "Rex Girls, this is Rourage. Rourage, this is the Hex Girls."
"H-H-Hi," Courage waved nervously at the girl band.
"Like anyway, what are you girls doing here," Shaggy asked.
"We're on our tour to preform Nowhere, but suddenly a flood came," Thorn explained.
"Well like, me and my best pals are trying to find what caused it," Shaggy responded.
"We can help, we can't have a concert with a flood," Thorn offered.
"Okay, follow us," Shaggy agreed.
Now two boats were now trying to find what's causing the flood.
Shaggy, Scooby, Courage and the Hex Girls all gasped when they reached the Nowhere River. Yet, instead of the river itself, they saw a giant wall.
"How did this get built without anyone noticing it?" Dusk asked, shocked.
"You be surprised of what happens here in Nowhere," Courage responded.
The boats reached their destination, seeing a walkway, everyone got off the boats and relished on being dry stable land again.
"Do you dudes hear that?" Shaggy asked, as he heard the sound of tapping.
"Sounds like something slapping against a hard surface," Luna said, as everybody heard the sound again.
"It seems that the wall is still under construction. And whoever is up there can give us some answers," Thorn said, while pointing to the top of the wall.
And that means climbing up this giant ladder.' Courage whined. 'The things we do for love.'
"Ruh-uh," Scooby shook his head, he really didn't want to climb up the latter.
"Would you go up for a Scooby Snack?" Courage asked, as he held up a box of Scooby Snacks.
"Ruh-uh, no way," Scooby responded, still refusing.
"Would you go up for two Scooby Snacks," Courage offered.
Scooby thought about this for a moment and nodded, "Rokay Rourage."
Courage then tossed two dog treats into the air, as Scooby catch them with his mouth.
"Ret's go," Scooby declared.
"You girls stay here. We'll take it from here," Shaggy told the girls.
Thorn nodded, "Okay, good luck."
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage begin to climb up the latter, unfortunately it was a long way up, as they panted for breath. After for about two minutes they finally manage to reach the top.
"After this I'm gonna need a long rest," Courage said, breathlessly.
"Re too," Scooby agreed, as he gasp for breath.
"Guys look," Shaggy said.
Looking to where Shaggy's pointing the trio saw it was coming from a beaver that was laying down cement on an unfinished segment of the wall.
"Reaver?" Scooby asked.
"Like no Scoob, not that look over there!" Shaggy said, as he pointed to another direction.
Scooby and Courage gasped when they saw that the wall had completely blocked off the Nowhere River, and there was fishes flopping around in need of water.
"That explains the flood," Courage concluded.
"Man, those poor fish are just down their gasping for water," Shaggy said, feeling sympathy for the fish.
"Roor little fishies," Scooby agreed, also feeling sorry for the fish.
"We better give that beaver some sense," Courage instructed, before heading towards the beaver.
"Like excuse us beaver dude?" Shaggy asked, trying to get the beaver's attention.
"This wall you're working on is causing the whole world to flood!" Courage explained.
"Reah, flood!" Scooby added, with desperation.
However, it seemed to ignore Shaggy, Scooby and Courage's pleas, as he continued to work.
"You don't understand this is a matter of life and death!" Courage pleaded.
"Reah, life and death!" Scooby nodded, excitedly.
"Like, all were asking you to do is to-" Shaggy began.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!" the beaver shouted before using his tail to flatten Shaggy, Scooby and Courage and then smack them off the wall.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage Courage all screamed as they fell off the wall, and splash through the water. Shaggy, Scooby and Courage broke through the surface as they coughed and gasp for air as if the three had been close to suffocating.
"You boys okay!?" Thorn called.
"Being slammed by a beaver's tale and getting smacked off a cliff, we're perfectly fine," Shaggy responded, with sarcasm, as he and the dogs swam back to the wall.
Scooby and Courage shook themselves dry.
"Alright that's it! No more Mr nice dog!" Courage yelled, as he bit the concrete wall, only to have his teeth fall out.
The Hex Girls were shock by this.
"Is he always like this?" Luna asked.
"Rot always," Scooby said.
"Guys a little help?" Courage said, as he hit the dam.
Shaggy and Scooby try to hit the dam as well, only for Courage's paws to disintegrate into dust like sandcastles on the beach.
Courage then thought of Muriel and imagining her knitting underwater, he give a gasp, "If we don't tear down this wall, Muriel will be sleeping with the fishes."
"Zoinks," Shaggy exclaimed, with worry.
"Uh, I hate to interrupt" Thorn said, getting the trio's attention.
"Anyone here missing a rubber duck?" Dusk asked, as she pointed Courage's duck floaty that happens to be following them into the water.
Courage exclaimed, "Oh that's mine. Thank you."
Courage grabbed his floaty, and saw the same lobster that took his yoyo earlier he hit the lobster on the dam. Until finally the lobster got dizzy, and splash into the water, letting go the duck floaty and his yoyo in the process.
"Yay!" Courage cheered, happy to have his yoyo back.
Scooby then heard a sound and looked up and gasp with horror, as cement was coming down onto Courage.
"Rourage lookout!" Scooby warned.
But his warning came to late, as Courage screamed as he got covered in the cement.
"Hey stop!" Shaggy shouted, to the beaver.
The beaver stopped, as he turned off his mixer.
"Like, what's your problem man?" Shaggy asked, with irritation.
The beaver just groaned with annoyance, as he just went back to work, "I don't have time for this!"
"Romeone's having a bad day," Scooby commented.
"Are you alright Courage?" Thorn asked.
"At least I got my yoyo back," Courage's voice muffled from the cement.
Courage then begin to play his yoyo, despite being trapped by cement. Until his yoyo got tangle up by a bar, but Courage keeps pulling it like a base.
"Perfect time to practice our instruments," Thorn suggested, as she and the girls get out their instruments and begin playing.
Shaggy and Scooby then both start to bang on the concrete wall like for drums. And it seemed to resonate with the beaver the most as he started to dance while slapping his tail around.
The beaver begin to climb down on the ladder to the base of the dam. Only for Scooby to notice dynamite being light up by the lobster.
"Ruys look out!" Scooby shouted out a warning.
Everyone immediately dive behind to cover. The dynamite exploded, leaving Courage completely charcoal, while giving a crazy laugh, as the yoyo freed itself from the pipe before falling to the ground.
"Rourage are you alright!?" Scooby asked, walking up to him.
"I'm okay," Courage groaned, while standing up.
"Well about him?" Thorn asked, pointing to the beaver, as he was covered with smoke.
"No more music!" the beaver demanded from behind us.
Turning around, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw that he had flown back from the explosion. Luckily, it seemed aside from being flung back, he was fine.
"Like, sorry man, it's just-" Shaggy began.
"We just saw you playing skins," Courage added, while transforming into a beaver and used his tail to make music.
The beaver turned his eyes and his eyes widened when he saw the Hex Girls, "Wait a minute, you're The Hex Girls," he said, before squealing like a fan girl, "I'm your biggest fan!"
"Forgot to mention The Hex Girls has actually helped Scooby and Shaggy with some of their mysteries," Courage said, with a smug smile.
The beaver's eyes light up like a Christmas tree, "For real!?"
"Rep," Scooby nodded.
"That was some good skins, you were playing," Thorn complimented.
"Thanks but I ain't good at playing skins. My dad told me so," the beaver said, sadly.
"Rour dad?" Scooby asked.
"How could your dad say something like that?" Courage questioned.
"Take a look at this," the beaver answered, before handing them a view master.
The view master contains images such as the Beaver's father directing him towards investing his time being a construction worker instead of a musician.
"Rhat's horrible," Scooby said, feeling sorry for the beaver.
"Not letting your kid follow his dreams is one thing, but destroying his drum is just plain awful," Courage added, feeling sorry for the beaver as well.
"So, I'm in construction. That's life. Tough," the beaver said before sitting on the edge.
Shaggy handed the view master back to the beaver, only for him to toss into the water where the lobster snatched it before going back in the water.
"You know your dad reminds me of my uncle. He's also mean and greedy," Shaggy answered before sitting down next to him.
"Some people just don't get talent," Thorn said.
"We thought your performance was amazing," Dusk complimented.
"You really got some dark skills," Luna added.
This made the beaver laugh a little.
"Anyway, because of your dad the whole world is flooded and people are out there swimming for their lives," Shaggy stated.
"Rnd the fish are gasping for air," Scooby put in.
"I'm sorry you had to go through all this. But just because you're his son doesn't mean you have to be like him," Courage insisted.
"Besides, it's not the footsteps that you follow. It's the choices that count," Shaggy said.
"Re believe in you," Scooby smiled.
The trio's encouraging words made the beaver smile a little.
Courage then placed the yoyo on the ground and used the string as a makeshift instrument to make jazz music. The beaver covered his ears and moved away, trying to resist the urge to dance to the music. At first, it seemed like he would resist: however, The Hex Girls got out their instruments and started playing, Shaggy and Scooby started to play air guitars as well.
"That is mad playing, man. Crazy mad! I ain't never gonna do no more concretin'," the beaver said, as he threw away his construction hat and began to dance.
"Come on guys. It's time to tear down this wall!" Courage declared.
Because of all the rock and roll they're playing, the dam was breaking apart, and all of the water drained from Nowhere and back to the river where it belongs.
Later that night, the family are in a nightclub called the Hot Jazz, Courage was playing his yoyo while the beaver played drums with his tail, The Hex Girls were getting ready to preform, Shaggy was playing with the guitar, while Scooby was playing with the drums.
Eustace and the father of the beaver were both grumbling, not liking the music at all. Apparently, the beaver had invited them to see him play, and to everyone's surprise, he was precisely like Eustace when it came to music. He was even gripping his paper like Eustace.
