It was almost evening as there was a sunset. The family were at the junkyard looking for things that could be used.
Muriel grunted as she struggled to free a dented tray from a mountain of junk, "Oh! This is better than shopping!" she said, as the elderly woman smiled at her reflection on the tray.
"Yeah, 'cause it's FREE shopping!" Eustace agreed as he held some dentures in his hand.
"Yes! I've always dreamt of coming here one day and now I finally get a chance to pick out anything I want to play with!" Courage shouted in joy, when he found tons of different slippers.
"Huh, I guess you know what they say: like, one man's trash is another man's treasure. At least there's no creepy salesman that gives away free creepy stuff," Shaggy agreed, referring to a man who sell that dome weeks ago.
"Respecially that guy who gave us the dome," Scooby added, as he found a half eaten cheeseburger, "Rheck it out, I found a half-eaten cheeseburger!" he then gobbled it up.
Courage cringed with disgust, "Eww! Scooby, that's disgusting!"
"Aw, come on! You didn't save me some?!" Shaggy said, with disappointment, he was hungry too.
"Rorry, Raggy, finders keepers," Scooby shrugged.
"Look at this wee jewel box, who would throw out such a gorgeous thing?" Muriel asked, as she examined the box before opening it. She then blew off the dust, only for the jewelry box to crumble in her hands, "Oh, my!"
"Ooh... better luck next time, Aunt Muriel," Shaggy said, with sympathy.
"Oh! Can't wait to go home and blow me a hole in one!" Eustace said, smiling as he held a busted saxophone that had a dented golf club in it.
Shaggy wasn't sure if that old saxophone wouldn't work, as it looked old and dented, "Uh... like, are you sure about that old sax still works, Uncle Eustace? 'Cause it looks pretty dented up if you ask me."
Eustace scoffed, "Ah, quit your bellyaching, you dumb Shaggy-haired fella, it's nothing a little elbow grease and paint can't fix!" he try to play the saxophone only for no noise to come out as the golf club prevented it. But a second later, the pressure sent the golf club high into the air.
"Rum... you might wanna look up, Rustace," Scooby warned, as he pointed with his paw.
"Oof! Ow!" Eustace shouted in pain when the golf club landed on his head.
Courage came up to the hungry duo, with a boot in his mouth, "Hey, guys... do you think it's okay... if I take this worn out boot... with me back home... you know, as a chew toy?"
"Don't you already a pile of boots back home in our attic, little pink dude?" Shaggy asked, he was kind of out of spaces for his clothes and the chew up boots that Courage had in his closet back at home.
Courage spit the boot out, "Eh, good point."
Scooby turned his gaze to Muriel and saw she has something in her hands, "Rey, I think Ruriel found something for you over there, Rourage!"
Courage's eyes sparkled like diamonds, "Really?"
"Ah, here's a little something, dear," Muriel said, as she give Courage a somewhat worn yet adorable-looking teddy bear.
"Yay, my very own teddy bear! Oh, he's so cute and fluffy and..." Courage cheered, but then gasped in terror when the teddy bear's head fell off. "…in need of a quick patching up..."
"Oh, don't worry, buddy, I'm sure there's probably a discared roll of duct tape around here somewhere," Shaggy assured the little sad pink beagle.
The cowardly teen then try to find some tape, to stick the teddy bear's head back on, he went up to his uncle for help, "Excuse me, Uncle Eustace, like, do you know where we c-"
"Not now, can't you see I'm busy over here?! Who needs this piece of junk?! Eustace shouted, as he threw a nutcracker.
The toy that Eustace threw hit Courage on the head.
"Ouch! What the?!" Courage exclaimed with pain, as he lifted a toy and got a good look at it.
Courage screamed when they saw the face of the toy and hid behind Muriel.
"Muriel, Muriel! This creepy-looking toy hit me in the head and now it's really scaring me!" Courage whimpered, as he hid between his two best friends.
"Oh Courage, it's just a wee nutcracker," Muriel said, as she took the toy and moved the handle on the toy's back up and down, "Look how it works."
"I'm with Aunt Muriel on this one, little pink dude, Scoob and I've seen one of these before we came to the farmhouse. The nutcrackers are a symbol of good luck, who are known for scaring away evil spirits. Heck, our old pal, Freddie, even played a role as a nutcracker during that one Christmas pageant we went to a few years ago," Shaggy assured the nervous pink beagle, as he patted his head in comfort.
"Ruh-huh! Rus, they're also used to crack open the shells of delicious nuts, hence the name 'nutcracker'," Scooby added.
"You know, I think you guys are actually right, maybe I was overreacting a bit. This nutcracker isn't so bad after al-" Courage exclaimed happily, as he played with the toy. Only for the toy's mouth to bite him on the nose, causing him to scream in pain, "D'oh! YOWCH!"
"Yeah... one thing we forgot to mention: like, the only downside is that you have to be careful with the nutcracker's chompers. They may be made of wood, but they sure can bite," Shaggy said, as he removed the toy from Courage's nose.
"Now you tell me," Courage said, as he held his now red swollen nose, "Oh, now I look like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."
"Now here's something I can really use," Eustace said, catching Shaggy and Scooby's attention.
Turning around, the duo saw him pulling on a rope that was attached to something with horns on top of a mountain of garbage. After a couple more yanks, it was revealed to be a moose head that fell on Eustace's head, "Ow! D'oh! Grr!"
Shaggy and Scooby both laughed as Eustace fumbled around blindly before falling into a pile of garbage.
"Rook at that, Raggy, it's Rullwinkle Roose!" Scooby giggled, referring to a TV show character, Rocky Bullwinkle.
Courage was having a made up tea party, with the toys he found.
"'Would you care for a nice hot cup of tea, Mr. Robot?' 'Why yes, Mr. Nutcracker, I would be delighted to,'"Courage asked, mimicking the toys. "I never wanna leave this place ever again…huh?" he asked as he looked up
Courage's party was interrupted when a garbage truck came and buried him in more garbage before leaving and closing the gate for the night.
Courage managed to escape the garbage pile, before the cowardly pink beagle give out a scream, as he realized they've been locked in, "On second thought, I changed my mind: I don't really wanna stay here anymore!"
Shaggy and Scooby came up the the frightened pink beagle, with Shaggy holding a mint condition baseball card of Cab Craig.
"You okay there, little pink dude?! What happened?!" Shaggy asked, with worry in his tone.
"The garbage truck left and now the junkyard's closed for the night!" Courage exclaimed, with dread, as he grabbed the nutcracker before pointing to the gate that is now locked.
"WHAT/RHAT?!" Shaggy and Scooby exclaimed, with shock and horror.
"REY, WAIT! ROME BACK! ROU ACCIDENTALLY LOCKED ALL OF US UP HERE!" Scooby shouted, as he ran to the locked gate. Feeling anxiety about being trapped in the junkyard. Especially since he and Shaggy once watch a movie when they're little about a talking toaster and his friends and one part of the movie when they're trapped in a junkyard.
"Like, it's no use, Scoob, the junkyard won't open until morning, which means that," Shaggy added in with a gulp, "We're stuck here for the rest of the evening!"
Courage give out a pitiful whimper, "We gotta warn Muriel and Eustace about this!" he exclaimed, as he and his best friends ran to find the elderly couple.
"Oh, man! Why do I get the feeling that neither Aunt Muriel or Uncle Eustace are gonna listen to us this time?" Shaggy groaned.
The cowardly trio manage to find Muriel, as they saw her wearing a curtain, a crown, and holding a showerhead and was looking herself over in a mirror.
"Rake a wild guess..." Scooby pointed at Muriel, dryly.
"Oh, how lovely," Muriel said, as she gaze herself in the mirror.
"Muriel, Muriel! Something terrible has happened, the gate is closed and we're all trapped in this junkyard!" Courage exclaimed, with dread.
"How does it look boys?" Muriel asked looking at her reflection, oblivious to the trio's warnings, as usual.
"You look like a queen, Aunt Muriel, but you got to hear us o-" Shaggy try to warn his aunt.
"I wonder if there's a wee camera I can borrow, wouldn't it be grand to make such wonderful memories for us to bring back home?" Muriel said, as she looked around, not hearing her nephew's warnings.
"Rit would be..." Scooby agreed, before whining, as he remembered they're trapped in the junkyard, "IF we ever get back home."
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all went to find Eustace, who struggled to get something off his head.
"Farmer, farmer! Thank goodness we found you, there's something we gotta tell you!" Courage began.
Eustace was not in a mood, as he scared to trio with a creepy looking moose stuck on his head.
This made the trio screamed, as Scooby jumped into his owner's arms and Courage opening his mouth for a tiny cowboy and his horse to come out of his mouth and the cowboy shooting his gun and went back in Courage's mouth.
"Yup, I knew this was coming..." Shaggy sighed.
Looking to the sky, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw that the sun had already gone down, and the moon quickly took its place.
"What are we gonna do now?!" Courage whimpered.
Shaggy and Scooby whimpered in fright, as the shadows of the mountains of garbage towered over the trio.
"RI guess we have no choice but to spend the night here in this junkyard..." Scooby groaned, as he gulp with fear.
Muriel was digging through some trash.
"Oh, of all the places we visit around Nowhere, why did it have to be in a junkyard?" Courage wailed, with fright.
"Great reception," Eustace said.
Turning to him, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw that he was sitting down on a chair similar to his own while 'watching' a broken television. He then took a brush and used it to clean the moose's teeth for some odd reason.
"Oh," Eustace said.
"Roesn't he know that TV's already busted?! Rand how can he watch anything with that moose head still stuck to his own face?!" Scooby complained, feeling more frustrated and scared about being here all night, than with Eustace.
"Now just relax, dudes, I know this all looks pretty bad, but look on the bright side! At least this is the only time we're trapped without anyone holding any of us hostage as usual!" Shaggy stated, trying to calm the two dogs down. "Who knows? Maybe with that nutcracker on our side, we might actually have better luck this time!"
"Well, I better put it away for safe keeping," Courage said, shivering, as he put his nutcracker in his 'pocket.' "Just like I don't want anything bad to happen to Muriel or any of us, I don't want anything bad happening to my new toy."
Suddenly Scooby picked up his ears, as he started to hear some music, "Ris that music I hear?"
"Say what now?" Courage asked, the Great Dane.
"What music, Scoob?" Shaggy questioned, also curious.
"Oh-ho-ho! Look at that!" Muriel was digging through some trash, when suddenly the three heard a noise.
Muriel gasped, catching the trio's attention. Turning to her, they saw her pulling on what looked like a pink tail. Yet, as she tugged on it, a pan fell to the ground.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage gasped with terror when the three saw that the tail belonged to a giant rat that hissed at Muriel.
"Zoinks! It's a rat!" Shaggy exclaimed, with fear and disgust.
"RI hate rats!" Scooby winced.
Eustace suddenly screamed, turning around, Scooby and Courage saw that Eustace was gone with the moose head on the ground.
Scooby and Courage shrieked, afraid.
"Uh... wasn't the farmer just sitting here earlier ago?" Courage questioned, getting nervous.
"Rhere did he go?" Scooby asked.
"At least the moose head is off of his head," Shaggy said, trying to look on the bright side, but his statement didn't not make him feel better in the slightest.
"Oh!" Muriel gasped, getting the trio's attention.
Turning to her, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw that she opened a fridge only to drop the frying pan when she saw another giant rat. However, this time the rat had green eyes and a green tail.
"No, not another rat!" Courage screeched.
"Aunt Muriel, watch out!" Shaggy cried out.
Not wasting a moment, Shaggy ran over to and slammed the fridge door shut as Courage picked her up.
"Run away!" Scooby shouted.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage then ran away from the place as the other red rat came to free the green rat from the fridge, yet, as they ran away from the rats, the family noticed that not only were they chasing them but the rats were dancing all the while.
"What are those two rats doing?" Courage asked, with confusion.
"Like, I think they're... dancing," Shaggy answered, equally confusion as well.
"Oh, my," Muriel said, amazed at what she was seeing and not realizing the potential danger she was in.
"Man, those rats know how to dance," Shaggy said, amaze at the rats dancing.
The rats stopped dancing and hissed at the family, Courage both give out a scream of terror.
"Rikes!" Scooby shrieked, with fright.
"Zoinks! Like, run!" Shaggy cried, with alarm.
Not needing to be told twice, the trio turned around and ran as fast as they could from the rats. However, no matter what twists and turns the cowardly trio took, the rats were constantly in front of them and set down traps. The first one was a giant mousetrap with cheese.
"Rait, do I smell... cheese?" Scooby said, forgetting the danger they're in.
"Oh, what luck! All that running is making me hungry!" Shaggy exclaimed, as he licked his lips.
But before Shaggy and Scooby could get the cheese, Courage stood in front of his best friends.
"Shaggy, Scooby, stop! Don't touch that cheese, it's a trap! A mouse trap! Courage warned.
Shaggy and Scooby both looked at the mouse trapped and realize if Courage hadn't stop, they would of been snapped by their necks.
"That was close," Shaggy commented, grateful that Courage was here.
"One step into that trap, and you two would of been mouse trapped," Courage said.
"Ruh, I think got other problems to worry about. Rook," Scooby said, as he pointed with his paw in fear.
Looking to where Scooby was pointing, Shaggy and Courage saw that the rat was heading towards them.
"Zoinks!" Shaggy shrieked.
"What do we do?! What do we do?!" Courage panicked, he then got an idea, "I've got it! I sure hope this works..." Courage then brings out his nutcracker, and managed to disarm the trap by tossing his nutcracker at the cheese, setting off the trap safely. Shaggy managed to catch the cheese and split it with Scooby.
"Row, I guess this nutcracker really IS a symbol of good luck after all!" Scooby commented, with amazement.
Passing over the trap, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage continued to run away from the rats as they continued to chase them while dancing. After a few more twists and turns, it seems like they lost the rats.
"Phew! I think we lost them!" Shaggy sighed, with relief.
But as Shaggy jinxed the green rat appeared in front of the family again.
"Uh, not quite! Look, that one's holding some kind of... glue trap!" Courage exclaimed, as he exclaimed the rat.
It bounced a few times before rolling out a sticky mouse trap. And to everyone's surprise, Di Lung was already trapped in it.
"Like, where the heck did you come from, man?!" Shaggy asked, with astonishment.
"How should I know, you fool?!" Di Lung asked, rather rudely.
"RI think the better is question is where the heck is that music coming from?" Scooby questioned, now really curious of to where the music is coming from.
Turning around, the cowardly trio tried to head back.
Courage looked up and to his horror, a laundry machine was coming down and about to hit Scooby, "Scooby, look out below!"
The family's path was cut off when a laundry machine fell in front of them. Looking up, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw that the red rat was on top of a mountain of garbage.
The red rat than dropped another machine to the ground in a attempt to drop onto the family.
"WHOA!/RHOA!" Shaggy, Scooby and Courage exclaimed, with terror as they move out of the way just in time.
The red rat hissed at the family.
"What kind of rats are these?!" Shaggy shouted.
The rat tossed down a destroyed car.
"Ratch your step, guys!" Scooby warned, as he and his best friends managed to get out of the way.
The trunk soon opened to reveal the green rat hissing at them.
"JUMP!" Courage instructed, as he jumped onto Di Lung.
"Wait for us, little pink dude!" Shaggy shouted, before jumping onto Di Lung as well.
"Rexcuse us!" Scooby yelled, as he jumped onto Di Lung.
"Watch where you're going, you fools!" Di Lung shouted.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage continued to run from the rats but were stopped when they reached the fence, "Oof!/Roof!"
"Uh-oh, we've hit a dead end, dudes!" Shaggy panicked.
"Don't worry, Shaggy, we'll dig ourselves outta this mess! Nutcracker, don't fail me now!" Courage reassured the cowardly teen, before grabbing his nutcracker, before turning to Scooby, "Scooby, help me with this!"
"Raye-aye, captain!" Scooby saluted.
Scooby and Courage started to dig up a hole, with Courage digging with his nutcracker.
Scooby and Courage screamed as Courage's eyes came out of the hole, soon followed by the rest of him and Scooby.
Shaggy give out a loud scream, as the rats popped out as well, "Zoinks! How the heck did those rat dudes get down there anyhow?!"
"Nevermind that! Just keep running as fast as you can!" Courage squealed.
"Rokay, am I seriously the only one around who hears music playing while we're being chased by a couple of rats?!" Scooby questioned.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage continued to make twists and turns to try and lose the rats, only for them to appear right in front of them a few seconds later.
"Oh, which we do we go?!" Courage panicked.
"Like, we thought you knew!" Shaggy said, frantically.
Scooby glance over his shoulder and saw
the rats coming closer, "Ruh-oh, here they come!"
The family then literally went through a pile of garbage.
"You know, we could've just gone around that heap of garbage, right?" Shaggy stated, as he kept on running.
"I don't know! Why do I always have to figure everything out?! I'm just a house dog!" Courage yelled.
"Ress arguing, more running!" Scooby shouted, at his two best friends, trying to get them to focus on getting away.
The rats even tried knocking down some mountains of garbage, but all it did was create a new platform for the rats to dance on.
"Oh!" Muriel exclaimed.
"Quick, this way!" Courage shouted, as instructed his best friends to run, only for one of the rats to appear, making the cowardly trio scream, "No, wait! I meant that way up ahead!"
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage continued on running, trying to get away from the rats, as much as possible.
After a few minutes, the rats grew tired of chasing the trio and started appearing from random places yet still danced all the while.
"I think we'll be safe here by these piles of tires. Whew!" Courage panted.
"Re've been chased by a lot of monsters before in our life, but this is just too exhausting, even for us, right, Raggy? Ruh, Raggy?" Scooby turned and to his horror Shaggy was gone.
"NO! MURIEL!" Courage exclaimed, as he saw that she was not there and tires were in her place.
"ROT MY RAGGY!" Scooby gasped, when he realized this as well.
"Rats! Those rats must've snuck off with Muriel and Shaggy while our backs were turned!" Courage stated.
Scooby give a low growl, "Rokay, now this just got personal! Rhey can kidnap Rustace and they can kidnap Ruriel, but when they kidnap my Raggy, they've really crossed the line!"
"Come on, Scooby, let's use our canine noses to track down those rats, so we can find our owners!" Courage said, as and Scooby both started to sniff the air.
"Right behind you, Rourage! Scooby agreed.
Courage came over to the water pipe as he sniffed at it.
"Rind anything?" Scooby asked, as he came over.
Suddenly a dead fish came out of the pipe, much to Courage's disgust, "Blech! Nope, just a rotten old fish."
Scooby and Courage continued to find some clues, as they came over to and old looking big pipe.
"Let's go check in there!" Courage suggested.
The two dogs came in the old pipe, but found nothing there, as Scooby came out first.
"Nope, nothing," Courage sighed, as he came out, and was shape like a hotdog, making Scooby giggled. "What's so funny?"
"Rou look like a hot dog!" Scooby laughed.
Courage give the Great Dane a playful punch, "Oh, just keep sniffing, you big goof."
After a few seconds, the two dogs caught a scent and started to follow it throughout the junkyard, and found a dresser.
"Huh, wonder what's in here..." Courage asked, as he opened the door.
Although, they both did become slightly confused when they saw a lady, as she screamed.
"Roh, pardon us, lady!" Scooby said, as he closed the door.
However, as soon as Scooby and Courage started moving again, they both heard Muriel, Eustace and Shaggy screaming from nearby.
"GET US OUTTA HERE!" Eustace shouted.
"COURAGE, HELP!" Muriel screamed.
"SCOOBY-DOO, LITTLE PINK DUDE, WHERE ARE YOU?!" Shaggy shrieked.
"Ruriel, Raggy!" Scooby said.
"They're coming from inside that dome made of trash over there!" Courage said, as he and Scooby ran over to it.
"Rut it's too big for us to see what's happening inside!" Scooby said, wishing they had a telescope right now.
"Hmm... I know, why don't we just use my nutcracker as a periscope?" Courage suggested.
"Rou really think that can work?" Scooby asked, not sure if the nutcracker can be use for a periscope.
"Well, this thing's been helping us out all day, so I don't see why not," Courage then took out his nutcracker and extended its legs over the mountain before using it as a makeshift periscope.
"Rhere's that music again! Rhat do you see?" Scooby asked the pink beagle.
"I see... one of the rats setting up a table and... Muriel, Shaggy and the farmer tied up inside a boiling cauldron while they're all being seasoned!" What the little pink beagle saw through the scope was Muriel, Eustace and Shaggy tied up together, and in a pot full of steaming water, with Shaggy shaking with fright.
"Rikes! Rhey're gonna eat our owners, we have to stop them!" Scooby gasped with horror.
"Oh, but how are the two of us gonna get all the way to the top of this dome?!" Courage asked, as he try to come up with a plan quick, but grew frustrated when he heard Scooby biting his nails. "Scooby, would you please stop that?! I'm trying to think here!"
"Rorry, I always bite my own nails whenever I worry about something bad happening to my Raggy!" Scooby apologized.
The word 'bite' sparked an idea in Courage's head, ""Bite? Bite! That's it! Scoob, you're a genius!"
"RI am?" Scooby asked, not having a clue what Courage was having on his mind.
"Follow me! Hang on, Muriel and Shaggy, we're coming!" Courage declared, as he grabbed the nutcracker using it for biting the pile of garage while lifting Scooby up at the same time.
Climbing up onto the pile of garbage, Scooby and Courage manage to climb to the top and saw the rats dancing around the place while preparing to eat Muriel, Eustace and Shaggy.
"Like, Scooby-Doo, where are you!?" Shaggy shouted, with terror fearing they might not come in time to rescue them.
"Re're coming Raggy!" Scooby cried out.
"Okay, on the count of three," Courage began, "One, two, THREE!" he cried as he and Scooby jumped
"SCOOBY-DOO!" Scooby let out a cry, as he and Courage landed on the table.
"Courage, Scooby?" Shaggy asked, as he looked at the two dogs.
The table broke from the impact, with a piece of it flying to a nearby record player stopping the music.
"Ro, that's what's been playing that music!" Scooby said, figuring out the mystery.
"Ah, boys. I knew you'd save us," Muriel said when she noticed the two dogs.
"Like, so did I! For a second there, I thought we were all goners!" Shaggy said, feeling glad they're getting rescue.
"Big deal! Someone untie me!" Eustace snapped, ungrateful as usual.
"Don't worry Shaggy, we'll get you, Muriel and the farmer out of here," Courage reassured the cowardly teen, ignoring the grumpy old man.
Only to be interrupted when the music started again, turning around, the two dogs saw the rats glaring at them before dancing towards the dog duo.
"Ruh-oh, it looks like we're surrounded Scooby said, as he pointed to the rats with dread.
The two rats separated and started circling them, before coming back together and spinning around really fast to use their tails as a weapon.
"Aw, geez... Oof!" Courage screamed, as he and Scooby flew away from the rats.
Hearing a splashing sound, Scooby and Courage turned and saw that the nutcracker had fallen into the cauldron.
"Roh, no! Rourage, your nutcracker!" Scooby exclaimed, fearing that the nutcracker is melted.
"Hold your horses, dudes, like, it's okay! Look, the nutcracker is still in one piece... strangefully," Shaggy said, not to know what either to feel relief or confused.
Scooby and Courage soon came back and retrieved Courage's toy from the cauldron.
"Wow, this thing is like our protector or something! We'll be with you guys in a minute, Scooby and I have some unfinished business to take care of!" Courage said, as he grabbed his toy from the cauldron.
The two dogs went over to the rats to finish this.
"Uh... yeah, sure thing, little pink dude," Shaggy shrugged, as he looked down at the boiling water.
"Stupid dogs!" Eustace complained.
"Go get them guys!" Shaggy cheered.
"I know how we can beat these rats, Scooby, just follow my lead!" Courage instructed.
"Rokey-dokey!" Scooby nodded, with determination.
"Alright, you carnivorous pests, let's dance!" Courage declared.
Courage grabbed Scooby's paw and with his nutcracker on his other paw and begin to dance similarly to the rats before changing to various other dance styles.
"Back! Back, I say!" Courage growled.
"Reah! Ro, Rourage! Rhow them what you got!" Scooby cheered.
Yet, for some reason, the dogs' dancing seemed to frighten the rats, which caused them to run away from them. But each time they tried, Scooby and Courage cut off their escape path. Knowing he had them on the run, Scooby ran over to the cauldron and freed Muriel, Eustace and Shaggy.
"Gosh, Aunt Muriel, like, your dog sure is full of surprises!" Shaggy said with astonishment, that little dog never failed to amaze him.
"That's my Courage!" Muriel smiled.
"And now, time for the big finish! Scoob, let's bring the whole house down!" Courage declared.
Courage start to use his nutcracker to bring down piles of garbage, Scooby soon helped him out as well, and in no time, they had everything crumbling to the ground. Seeing their home getting destroyed, the rats ran away from the two dogs.
"Yay! Hurray!" Muriel cheered, as the dust settled.
"Like, that was an awesome performance you guys," Shaggy complimented, liking their dancing skills.
Scooby, Courage and his toy gave each other a slight bow.
"Why, thank you!" Courage said.
"Rou're too kind!" Scooby added.
"Way to go, guys, like, you two sure showed those rat dudes something!" Shaggy cheered
"Don't thank me, Shaggy, thank this nutcracker, it was the one who really saved our lives!" Courage said, as he held out his nutcracker.
"Give me that thing!" Eustace interjected, before grabbing the nutcracker.
"Hey!" Courage said.
"Uncle Eustace, that's ours!" Shaggy argued, even though he knew it was no use.
"Yeah, well now it's mine!" Eustace said, not caring.
This proves to be right as the trio grew worried for Courage's toy, when Eustace put a walnut into its mouth. He then tried to use it only for the toy to fail to break the walnut and instead break its teeth.
"G'ah! Garbage!" Eustace complained.
"That nutcracker's an antique, Eustace. You can't really use it for anything," Muriel told him.
Shaggy was surprised by this, "Wait, you mean to tell us that this nutcracker doesn't really do anything?"
"I'm afraid so, dear," Muriel said sadly, but honest.
"Blah, blah, blah," Eustace complained, as he through the nutcracker on the ground.
"The only thing that's garbage is Uncle Eustace's attitude," Shaggy stated.
"Rell me about it," Scooby agreed.
"Well, it was fun while it lasted," Courage said, as he looked at his broken toy with sadness.
Ro, it wasn't really the nutcracker who's been protecting us all day, it was just me and Rourage all along?" Scooby asked.
"Sorta looks that way, Scoob. Sorry Uncle Eustace broke your toy, little pink dude, we know much it meant to you," Shaggy said, feeling bad for the poor dogs.
"You know what, guys? That's okay. Protector or not, carrying this nutcracker has taught me something today: having gifts is wasn't makes other happy, it's being surrounded by the people you care about that make you happy!" Courage stated.
"Raww!" Scooby blushed.
"Like, you said it! Besides, who needs perfect teeth anyway? It's a good thing we made it through this night without any type of injuries," Shaggy said, unfortunately he spoke too soon he felt pain in his mouth, and realize his teeth were broken. "Huh?"
The cowardly beagle opened his mouth, and show that his teeth were broken as well, before laughing, "Well, almoth!"
"SHCOOBY-THOOBY-THO!" Scooby shouted, groaning with pain, they needed to go to the dentist after this.
