It was nearly two am in the Willow Family household. Silver twisted and turned, he sighed before rolling on his back, sitting up and rubbing his face, groaning. He just couldn't get any sleep, due to the after events of what happened at the Draventon Ball.
Between crashing the Draventon and meeting the first son of the Duke at the ball and eventually falling in love with him only for him to end up finding out he's the real Anthony that Staghart used as his human form. Every time he tries to fall asleep, the image of his face appears in his mind and dream. He tried counting sheep as most do when they couldn't shut their eyes but it didn't work as he hoped. The numbness of thought of Anthony wasn't going away soon, and he knew it.
[Background song: I need some sleep - Eel (Zhavia cover version), most of the lyrics have been changed]
Oh, oh
I need some sleep
Pull the sheet over my head
I tried counting sheep
But there's one I always miss
In frustration, he threw his blanket and got up from his bed, and walked toward the front window of the house, he moved the curtain aside revealing an empty road and the front yard of his home.
My mind says I'm getting down too low
My mind says, "You just gotta let it go"
You just gotta let it go
You just gotta let it go
Deciding to go outside to clear his mind, Silver silently puts on his robe and glasses from his bedside and slides his foot into his slippers before eventually walking out of the room.
Oh, oh, oh
I need some sleep
It can't go on like this
I tried counting sheep
But there's one I always miss
Silver quietly did not make sudden noise as he feared he might wake his parents up and get in trouble. He took a deep breath before slowly walking down the stairs, made a left u-turn once he reached the bottom, and slowly approached the backyard double door, carefully opened and stepped out, closing it shut behind him.
My mind says I'm getting down too low
My mind says, "You just gotta let it go"
You just gotta let it go
You just gotta let it go
The night breeze brushed against his skin and made it cold.
Ooooh, ooooh, ooooh
Silver shivers slightly, looking up at the dark night sky. The moonlight reflected off the surface of Florence lake, making it glow bright.
"You know," Silver said under his breath as he looked up at the moon, "I bet you're the most beautiful planet ever." The night was calm, quiet, and peaceful as Silver could finally think clearly without being disturbed by anyone or anything. He could finally be able to clear his mind and just enjoy the night breeze. He closed his eyes and smiled, breathing in the night air.
"This is nice." Silver whispered as he sighed happily while looking up at the sky. "I can feel the warm wind blow through my hair, I can hear the sounds of crickets chirping in the distance, and the stars are so bright tonight." He continued to breathe in the fresh air and breathed in deeply.
Silver closed his eyes shut as the wind blew and slowly released the thought of Anthony at the ball. But with each image of him, his heart would ache again. He opened his eyes and blinked rapidly to regain his focus, he took another deep breath and exhaled, "Ahh..." he groaned then slowly started to walk around the backyard, enjoying the cool night breeze.
He stopped for a moment and looked up at the dark sky, "Do I love him?" He pondered on that question, but he already knew the answer. His heart skipped a beat every time he saw his face, and he felt a sense of warmth whenever he touched his hand.
Silver then shook his head, "No, he… he doesn't love me. He only loves "Lady Golden". He… he loves her more than me." He sighed, "He wouldn't even dare to love me. I am just a guy playing dress up, that's all, Anthony wouldn't want me, especially now that he knows who I really am and how I am a guy, not a girl." Silver frowned, "I don't even know if I wanna see him again..."
Silver paced around the backyard, stopping briefly to look up at the night sky until he ended up at the wooden dock of his family's backyard. He looked up at the moon, "he is… he would feel betrayed and angry at me for lying to him and pretending that I was Lady Golden. I would feel guilty for tricking him into falling in love with a fake!"
Silver continued to stare at the moon as he thought to himself, "But, if only…"
[Song: If Only - The Little Mermaid Live (Auli'i Cravalho & Graham Phillips version)]
Silver:
If only you could know
The things I wish to say
If only I could tell you
How frightened that I am
The wind blew against his front making his robe flutter, and his long strand of black curls swayed back and forth. The temperature of the night air was a little chilly, causing him to shiver.
Silver:
I didn't mean for you
to react to the real me
I'm sorry for fooling you
If only you would know
Silver looked down at the lake below him where the image of his reflection changed into the moment when he took off his mask and revealed his face to him.
Silver:
If only you could glimpse
The sadness that I felt
If only I would notice
How fast my heart can beat
He sighed, placing his hands on his chest where he could feel his heart beating heavily, each time he sees his face, his heart felt like it was going to burst out of his chest.
Silver:
The dreams I can't declare
The feeling I can't deny
You'd understand them all
If only you would try
Silver slowly raised his head and sighed as he looked up at the moon. The moonlight shone upon his face, his brow furrowed as he tried to forget his feeling of guilt.
Silver:
All your feeling you would remove them
All the love you'd return to me
Then my sadness would be broken
Not a word would need be spoken
In the Draventon home, it was nearly 7:00 AM in the foggy morning, and Anthony is the only one in the entire household to wake up all of a sudden. It wasn't because he got an acceptance letter from the Prince and became his protege and scheduled to leave in about three hours but his mind kept showing the boy in a white dress and the moment when they first met in the estate garden.
Anthony:
What is it about him
That makes my heart so enchanting?
He turns his head toward the window where the sun slowly peeks through the misty morning sky into the room.
Anthony:
Why do I feel dizzy
In a way I've only felt but once before?
He sighs for a while before looking at the slipper sitting on the table he had left it. Every time he stares at the slipper, his mind keeps bringing him back from the moment when he and the boy dance in his secret garden to when he and the four other women ran away from the ball and left his slipper behind on the land of the stairs.
Anthony:
How come when he show his face
It seems like time stops moving
Almost like the way it did that day upon the ball?
Anthony thought of how when he thought that "Lady Golden" was a young lady and how beautiful she looked in the ballroom and how he felt so in love around "her". The way he held "her" hand and smiled. The way he spoke to "her" was so mesmerizing.
Anthony:
But his face
Still, he remembers his face, the neutral undertone of his tan skin, black hairs that were the color of black bears, and the brown eyes that looked like brown chocolate. Every single thought of him caused a red flushed rose to appear on his cheek which made him cover his face with his hands. The smile on that young man's face was so sweet and yet so nervously shy when they first laid eyes at each other.
Silver:
If only it were true
If only for a while
Silver walked toward the double sliding glass door that led into the living room and dining area. He opened the door and went inside before closing the door behind him.
Anthony:
I don't know his name!
Anthony thought for a second, if the young man told him his identity would he still fall in love with him despite him being a boy?
Silver:
If only you would notice
How my heart aches inside of me
Silver carefully climbs up the stairs, making sure to not make a sound while climbing those steps.
Anthony:
How will I find him?
Perhaps, but his heart was set on this one. He knew that if he took an interest in any other young man it wouldn't be as strong as what he felt for the young man who he had fallen in love with on the night of the ball.
Silver:
I guess you never will
I guess it doesn't show
But if I never find a way to make it stop
Silver turned left and walked down the hall before making a left turn again passing his parents' bedroom. The young glasses-wearing man opens his bedroom door and steps inside.
Silver:
Oh what I would give
to see you once again
Silver removed his robe, placed his glasses on his bedside, and slid his slippers off before laying down on his bed and sighing. His tired eyes started to pull the blanket to his chest.
Anthony:
Memories fade
Strange how they blur
But when I find him
Anthony looked down at the slipper in his hand and the letter in the other, he felt this strange and odd feeling that maybe… maybe this young man in white could possibly be in the Magical World.
Anthony:
I'll know
He's the one
Anthony decided to bring the slipper with him to the Magical World in hope of finding its owner. He rushed into one of his bags before wrapping the slipper.
Silver:
If only
Silver stared at the ceiling one last time before slowly closing his eyes shut. Now finally getting some sleep he needed.
Anthony:
If only
Anthony prayed that the Magical World would be the key to his answer of ever finding this young man. No matter how far away or how hard he searched, he knew he would always find him. He could never forget him, and no matter where he goes, he would always keep his eyes open. He promised himself to find the young man and see him.
Wherever the young man is, Anthony hoped he would find him.
Silver is riddled with guilt and regrets after pretending to be Lady Golden and leading Anthony to believe that he is in love with her. He doesn't know how to stop thinking about Anthony after the Draventon Ball. While Anthony is trying to figure out what to do next, he decides to bring the slipper with him to the Magical World. He hopes that if he brought the slipper with him, perhap, the Magical World might be the key to help him in finding the young man he fell in love with.
But, will these two boys be able to see each other again? Can Silver finally overcome his feelings for Anthony? Will Anthony ever be able to find the young man he has fallen in love with? Is there really a chance for them to meet again? Who's to say.
