Fireworks exploded in the night sky as carriages and vehicles entered through the gate of the King's Castle. The sound of their wheels, the shouts of the drivers, and the jingle of their harnesses mingled with the voices of people who were entering from the other side. Some had been walking a long way; others, perhaps, had arrived in the course of the evening; for the castle was large, and could hold many guests. All the gates stood open to admit them, but few decided to enter at that hour, except those who had come specially to see the fireworks.
For this Princess Annual Event hosted by Cinderella, the theme was Animal Masquerade where everyone dresses up in different time period costumes with their animal theme.
As carriages and vehicles filled up the courtyard, the guests started to arrive. The humans dressed in costumes made for the occasion, which included an elephant, a lion, a monkey, a bear, and several different species complete with their mask, tail, and ears. Others who are anthropomorphic animals even dress up in different types of animals.
Some guests are dressed in Medieval, Renaissance, Rococo, Regency, or Victorian costume and most dressed in different time periods of the 20th century from 1900s to 1990s.
One of the vehicles stopped right before close to the entrance and emerged from the vehicle was one of the agents in charge of Hollywood Studios' security, Roman Volk. His Tudor outfit consisted of a doublet in olive green velvet, with intricate gold embroidery and trim. The doublet is paired with matching olive green velvet breeches, and brown leather boots with gold buckles. Over the doublet, Ben wears a long brown velvet coat with gold trim and a fur collar. The coat would be adorned with fox fur tails and ears, completing his Gray Fox theme.
He wears a ruff collar at his neck, a gold chain with a fox head pendant, and a brown felt hat with a gold band and a fox fur tail. His mask is decorated with fox faux fur features intricate detailing, including fox ears and whiskers.
He smiled at the Castle and made his way to the stairs that led them inside of the King's Castle, right when he was about to touch the first step in front of him.
"Hey! Roman!"
He looked to his right and saw Sunny in her 1680s costume consisting of a white silk shirt with billowing sleeves, a gold brocade vest with silver buttons, and a pair of white silk breeches with gold embroidery. Over the shirt and vest, she wears a gold and silver brocade coat with a high collar and wide cuffs. The coat is adorned with gold buttons and silver braiding, and features a lion emblem embroidered on the chest.
To complete the look, Sunny wears these white silk stockings and a pair of gold buckle shoes. Her accessories include a white silk cravat at her neck, a gold and silver embroidered hat with a white plume, and a gold and silver sword with a lion head hilt. For her mask, a gold and silver Venetian-style mask with lion motifs on her face. The mask features velvet with lion ears and whiskers.
"Roman!" She called out, heading to where he stood. She lifted her Lion mask to reveal her gorgeous makeup, showing a bright smile.
"Sunny!" Roman replied, lifting his mask and showing subtle red makeup along with a bright smile.
[Song: Masquerade - The Phantom of the Opera (2004 Film version), most of the lyrics have been changed.]
"Dear Roman, what a splendid party!" Sunny said.
"The prologue to a bright year!" Roman replied back.
"Quite a night, I'm impressed!"
"Well one does one's best!"
"Here's to us!" The two high-fived.
"I must say all the same, I couldn't believe we attended the mask ball in here!" Roman said sarcastically, taking out his phone to take a selfie with Sunny.

Somewhere in the King's Castle, the King, along with his son the Prince and his daughter-in-law Cinderella, followed by the Grand Duke, Prudence, and Daphne and Beatrice. All groups make their way toward the grand ballroom to greet their guests who have arrived for the Animal-Theme Masquerade Ball.
The King, dressed in a medieval costume with a Lion theme, walked with a mask on his head as he led the group to the Ballroom. The Prince and Cinderella, walk behind the King, both dressed up in 1810s costume with mice-theme. The Grand Duke also wore a medieval costume with Owl-theme, stood behind the couple with Prudence, in Rococo costume with rhinoceros-theme, trailing behind them was
Daphne, in a renaissance costume with a yellow butterfly-theme, and Beatrice, in an 1840s costume with snail-theme.
"What a night!" The King with a pleased expression though he had not much to do with the event but very eager to go.
"What a crowd!" Cinderella exclaimed, her bright smile exposed her euphoria. "Makes you glad,"
"Makes me proud!" The Prince corrected. "All the crème de la crème..."
"Watching you," Cinderella said quietly.
Prudence leaned over the window, gazing at the guest arriving below, "Watching them."
"Three months!" The Grand Duke declared triumphantly.
The King was quick to add their input to the statement. "Of relief! Of delight!"
"Of Elysian peace!" The Prince concluded, giving his Princess a twirl with a bright smile.
Daphne claps her hands, "And we can breathe at last!"
"No more patience!" Beatrice proclaimed with a wave of her mask.
Daphne shared in her happiness, delighted to see her in something other than a foul mood at the grand costume ball. "No more waiting."
"Here's a health!" The Grand Duke said meekly.
The King raised a hand in the air to catch the group's attention. "Here's a toast to a prosperous year!"
"To all our friends that are here," The Prince included.
"And may the splendor never fade!" Cinderella finished with matching looks of contentment.
The group glanced at each other as all reached the end of the staircase. "What a blessed release!"
"And what a masquerade!" Cinderella giggled as she placed her mask in front of her face.
In the grand hall where the guests enter the King's Castle. The young couple, one is Mexican and the other is English, walk among the guests around them hand in hand.

As the pair began to approach the party through the grand hall with other guests of the ball, this is the first time that Silver and Anthony have ever attended the Princess Annual Event as a couple.
"Think of it," The young glasses wearing man in the Elizabeth costume sighed dreamily, with his hand loop around Anthony's left arm, "Attending the Princess Annual Event: Animal-Theme Masquerade Ball. As a couple! Oh, just think of it!"
Anthony smiled warmly at Silver. "It's truly a dream come true, Silver. I never imagined we'd have the chance to attend such a magnificent event together. And look at us now, dressed in our finest Animal-Theme costumes, ready to make memories that will last a lifetime."
Silver squeezed Anthony's arm affectionately, beaming smiley. "You look rather dashing in your Red Fox costume."
Anthony leans in and whispers to his ear. "And you look absolutely adorable in your American Black bear."
Silver's smile broadened. "And I'm sure you look quite handsome yourself."
Anthony nodded. "Indeed."
Silver glanced at the guests walking ahead of them, "I never thought we'd ever get to attend this event together, let alone dress up as animals."
"Remind me how the last time we're at the Masquerade Ball was my Family 270th Anniversary with Rococo Theme and how you and the four princesses crash in uninvitedly with false names." Anthony chuckled.
"I remember," Silver grinned with an embarrassing blush appearing on his cheek as he shook his head, "it was when you first saw me as you and your family entered the ballroom and you laid your eyes on me, you mistakenly thought of me as a girl since I was wearing a dress."
"But you know," The young man continued, "I have to admit, you were the most stunning 'lady' there. I couldn't keep my eyes off of you whenever you're dancing with the other guys at the ball." Anthony laughed. "You're the one who I keep staring at the whole time. I was worrying you would think of me as a creep if you saw me staring at you the entire time and feel unease."
"Why, thank you, Mister Fox," Silver blushed. "That means a lot to me."
"My pleasure, Mister Bear." Anthony replied.
"You and I will have a blast tonight," They both concurred, entering the grand ballroom, their footsteps echoing in harmony with the lively music that filled the air. The ballroom was adorned with stunning decorations, evoking a sense of whimsy and elegance. The guests twirled and swirled around them, each one showcasing their unique animal-themed attire.
Silver and Anthony joined the dance floor, their movements graceful and synchronized. They twirled and glided across the polished floor, their costumes catching the light and mesmerizing all who laid eyes upon them.

They executed their elaborate choreography flawlessly; truly a moving masterpiece.

Soon the royal trumpets were heard throughout the castle announcing the arrival of the King and his family. The guests turned their attention towards the entrance where the King, Prince, Cinderella, made their way to the grand ballroom to their seats. The guests parted, creating a path for the royal family as they made their way through the crowd. Whispers of admiration and awe followed in their wake.
Guests at the ballroom bowed to the King, Prince and Cinderella as they entered. The King, with his Lion-themed medieval attire, exuded regality as he acknowledged the crowd. The Prince and Cinderella followed closely, their 1810s mice-themed costumes capturing the attention of all who laid eyes upon them.
As the King, Prince, and Cinderella took their seats, the grand ballroom fell into a hushed anticipation. The guests, including Silver and Anthony, eagerly waited for the evening's festivities to continue.
Soon, Cinderella, the Hostess, got up from her seat and cleared her throat.
"Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed guests," Cinderella began, her voice carrying with grace and elegance. "Welcome to the Princess Annual Event: Animal-Theme Masquerade Ball. Tonight, we gather here to celebrate the beauty of the animal kingdom and the joy of coming together in merriment and dance."
The guests applauded, their excitement palpable in the air. Silver and Anthony exchanged a glance at each other before facing the Glass Slipper Princess.
Cinderella continued, "I must say, I am thoroughly impressed by the creativity and craftsmanship displayed in your animal-themed costumes from different eras and time periods. Each one of you has brought a touch of enchantment to this evening, and for that, I commend you."
The guests beamed with pride, their costumes reflecting their individual personalities and passions. Silver and Anthony felt a sense of belonging amidst the sea of unique animal disguises.
"Tonight, we shall revel in the magic of this occasion," Cinderella declared. "Let the music play, the laughter fill the room, and the spirits of the animal kingdom guide our steps on this dance floor. Let the Animal-Theme Masquerade Ball begin!"
With those words, the orchestra began to play a lively tune, and the guests headed to the dance floor with renewed enthusiasm. Some guests started to mingle with other guests while some decided to help themselves at the buffet, even some decided to greet the Royal Family, Silver and Anthony are no exception as they too decided to greet them.
As they waited in line to greet the King, Cinderella, and the Prince, Cinderella glanced at Silver and Anthony after greeting the last guest.
"Ah! Silver, Anthony!" Cinderella exclaimed with a smile as Silver and Anthony were up next. "I'm so glad you boys could attend the Princess Annual Event with us."
"We are very honored, Your Highness," Silver said, bowing to them as Anthony followed suit. "Thank you very much for inviting us tonight."
"Yes, we are delighted to be here with you," Anthony added.
Cinderella laughed. "I do believe that this is your first time attending the Princess Annual Event as a couple, correct?"
"It is, Your Highness," Silver said, nodding his head.
"What an interesting costume, The American Black Bear and the Red Fox!" The King said, taking a good look at them. "My, my, my! You two certainly look splendid in your animal costumes!"
"Oh, thank you, Your Majesty!" Anthony said excitedly. "We're very proud to wear these costumes for you!"
"I'm sure it's a wonderful and fascinating costume," Cinderella remarked. "It's also an honor to see you two in such fine outfits."
Silver and Anthony were happy to hear that they looked well dressed, especially when they saw how beautiful the rest of the attendees were dressed as animals. "Thank you," they both said shyly.
"Well then," the King replied with an elegant smile, "I hope you enjoy yourselves during the remainder of the party." He gestured to the dance floor. "Dance with each other if you wish, or try a buffet if you like." With those kind words, Silver and Anthony bowed one more time and departed from the Royal Family.
Guests mingled on the floor, many still chatting about the various animal costumes they had seen on display earlier. Others enjoyed their favorite food stations and sampled delicacies of all sorts. The buffet table featured all manner of exotic dishes to serve the hungry appetites of the guests.
As Silver and Anthony make their way toward the buffet, they spot two familiar guests at the buffet. Dorado, Silver's cousin, and his girlfriend, Vicky.
Dorado's zoot suit is made of a high-quality wool blend material in a deep shade of gray, with a subtle herringbone pattern running through it. The suit jacket has a classic, elongated cut with wide lapels and a double-breasted closure, featuring silver buttons. The shoulders are slightly padded to accentuate Dorado's broad frame. The pants are high-waisted and tapered, with a pleated front and a cuffed hem. The waistband features a unique design, with a silver buckle shaped like a labrador retriever's head, complete with a single silver chain on his right side.
To incorporate his gray wolf-theme, the suit is adorned with subtle details that evoke the two animals. The lapels of the jacket are lined with a soft, plush faux fur in a mix of gray and brown color, reminiscent of a wolf's fur. The cuffs of the pants feature a silver lightning bolt design in the shape of wolf tracks. His accessories include a black fedora hat with a wide brim, trimmed with a band of the same mix of gray and brown faux fur as the lapels of his jacket. His black leather shoes feature a sleek, minimalist design with silver wolf paw prints etched into the soles. There is even a wolf tail that is attached to the back of his pants with a discreet clip and an ear on headband where his hat has two holes for the ears to fit through. To complete his Wolf-theme masquerade look, Dorado wears a sleek black mask covered in silver wolf furs. With his striking features and bold sense of style, he's sure to stand out at the ball as the labrador wolf, in a truly original and authentic zoot suit.
Vicky looks beautiful in her 1890s Peacock-theme ball gown made of a luxurious lilac silk fabric, with a shimmering quality that catches the light in a way that echoes the iridescent feathers of a peacock. The bodice of the gown is fitted and sleeveless, with a scoop neckline that accentuates Vicky's regal bearing and pointed waistline. The center bodice is embellished with intricate gold embroidery that mimics the patterns of peacock feathers, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the design. The skirt of the gown is in this A-line style, with multiple layers of silk fabric that cascade to the floor in a gentle sweep. The layers of fabric are designed to resemble the ruffled feathers of a peacock's tail, with each layer in a different shade of lilac, from light to dark. The hem is trimmed with delicate gold lace, adding a subtle touch of opulence to the gown.
To finish off with her peacock theme, her gown is adorned with subtle details that evoke the bird's features. The back of the gown features a small train, with a series of cascading peacock feathers embroidered in gold and silver thread. The feathers are intricately detailed, with each individual feather carefully embroidered to create a sense of movement and life.
Vicky's accessories include a pair of delicate white silk opera-length gloves, embroidered with gold thread to match the bodice of the gown. Her hair is styled in a classic updo, with loose tendrils framing her face and a gold peacock feather hairpin decorating the back of her hair. She wore an indigo eyeshadow, neutral lipstick, and blushing on her cheek. She carries a white silk fan, adorned with peacock feathers in shades of lilac, white, and gold. For her masquerade mask, Vicky wears a delicate half-mask made of white lace, decorated with gold and lilac accents and peacock feathers. The mask is designed to cover only the upper half of her face, allowing her to showcase her regal features while still maintaining the mystery and intrigue of the masquerade.
Out of the corner of Vicky's eyes, she spotted the two heading to the buffet. "Silver! Anthony!" She exclaimed them as she held her fan up and waved at them.
Silver and Anthony spotted Vicky waving at them with her fan and exchanged smiles. They made their way over to Dorado and Vicky, excited to see familiar faces amidst the grand event.
"Vicky! Dorado!" Silver greeted them warmly as he exchanged hugs from each of them. "You two look absolutely stunning tonight. I must say, your costumes perfectly capture the essence of the peacock and the wolf."
Dorado grinned, adjusting his fedora hat. "Thanks, Silver! I wanted to bring some old-school flair to the party. And Vicky here looks like a true peacock Queen."
Vicky blushed, her eyes sparkling. "Oh, thank you, Silver. You and Anthony look wonderful too! The American Black Bear and the Red Fox, what a unique and charming choice."
Silver smiled. "Thanks, let's just say, I have turned into an animal before and got inspired to wear this costume based on the bear."
Anthony chuckled. "We wanted to embrace the animal theme while staying true to ourselves. And I must say, Dorado, your zoot suit is absolutely dapper. The wolf-inspired details are so well thought out."
Dorado bowed playfully. "Why, thank you, my good sir. I aim to impress."
Vicky smirks at Dorado. "He certainly did, I must say, the wolf really suited him."
Dorado, channeling his inner big bad wolf, leaned in closer to Vicky and flashed a mischievous smile. "Well, Señora Vicky, it seems the wolf has found his prey tonight. But I must warn you, I have a reputation for being quite dangerous."
Vicky raised an eyebrow, matching his confident tone. "Oh, really?" She said, "Well, Mr. Wolf, I happen to be an elegant and sly peacock. I'm not easily intimidated by your wild nature."
Dorado chuckled, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Is that so? But you see, the big bad wolf loves a challenge. The more elusive the prey, the more captivating the chase."
Vicky let out a soft laugh, her fan playfully covering her lips. "Well, Mr. Wolf, you might find that I'm not one to be easily caught. I have my ways of staying just out of reach."
Dorado leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a low whisper. "Ah, but that only makes the chase more thrilling. I have a feeling you enjoy being pursued as much as I enjoy pursuing."
Vicky playfully let out a gasp before hitting his chest with her fan. "Oh you wolf! Do behave yourself!"
Dorado chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "I promise to behave... for now. But don't think you've escaped my sights. The night is still young, and the hunt has only just begun." He let out a wolf growl at her.
Vicky chuckled before grabbing his tied and pull him right close to her face, "Oohhh, does an the big bad wolf need to be put on an-"
Suddenly, Silver cleared his throat loudly, interrupting the playful banter between Dorado and Vicky. "Ahem, excuse me, you two lovebirds," he said with a mischievous grin. "While your wolf and peacock romance is truly… um captivating, Anthony and I need to head over to the buffet for now. I'm afraid the food might feel neglected with all this attention on you."
Anthony joined in, trying to alleviate the slightly awkward atmosphere. "Yes, let's leave the wolf and the peacock to their playful banter. We'll catch up with you both later."
Dorado and Vicky looked at each other, their faces turning slightly red with embarrassment. Dorado straightened his tie, trying to regain composure. "Of course, Silver, Anthony. We were just having a little fun with the masquerade theme."
Vicky nodded, her fan covering her mouth partially. "Yes, just a playful banter between our animal personas. No harm intended, I assure you."
Dorado and Vicky exchanged amused glances before bursting into laughter. "Alright, go on, you two," Dorado said, playfully shooing them away. "We'll see you around!"
Silver and Anthony laughed along and made their way to the buffet, leaving Dorado and Vicky behind, still chuckling at the comedic interruption. Once they reached the buffet, they were amazed at the array of delicious dishes laid out before them. The buffet table was a sight to behold, with a variety of culinary delights from different cuisines.
Silver's eyes widened as he scanned the offerings. "Wow, look at all these options! It's going to be hard to choose."
Anthony nodded in agreement, his mouth watering. "I know, right? Everything looks so tempting. Let's start by taking a little bit of everything and then we can go back for more of our favorites."
Silver grabbed a plate and began piling it up with small portions of various dishes. He couldn't resist the aroma of the grilled meats and the colorful salads. Anthony followed suit, adding a bit of each dish that caught his attention.
As they made their way down the buffet table, they couldn't help but notice the exquisite presentation of the food. Each dish was meticulously prepared and garnished, with attention to detail that was truly impressive.
Silver spotted a dish of succulent roasted duck glazed with a tangy orange sauce. "Oh, I have to try this duck. It looks absolutely amazing!"
"And look over there," Anthony pointed, his eyes gleaming. "They have a seafood station with fresh oysters, shrimp, and lobster. I can't resist some good seafood."
They moved along, sampling dishes like tender beef medallions with a rich mushroom sauce, buttery mashed potatoes, and a colorful medley of roasted vegetables. The flavors exploded in their mouths, and they savored each bite.
Silver glanced at Anthony's plate and noticed something unique. "Hey, what's that green dish you have there?"
Anthony grinned. "It's a matcha-infused pasta with seared scallops and a light cream sauce. It caught my eye, so I decided to give it a try."
Silver took a small taste from Anthony's plate. "Mmm, that's really interesting. The matcha adds a subtle earthy flavor to the pasta, and the scallops are perfectly seared."
They continued exploring the buffet, indulging in dishes that ranged from exotic sushi rolls to delicate pastries and decadent chocolate desserts. The culinary creations delighted their taste buds and left them wanting more.
As they enjoyed their meal, Silver and Anthony couldn't help but chat about the lively atmosphere of the ball. The music, the laughter, and the vibrant costumes added to the enchantment of the evening.
"I'm so glad we decided to come to this event," Silver said, taking a sip of his sparkling water. "It's such a unique experience, and everyone seems to be having a great time."
Anthony nodded, a satisfied smile on his face. "Absolutely. And it's even better to be here with you, Silver. Sharing these moments together makes it even more special."
Silver reached out and held Anthony's hand, intertwining their fingers. "I feel the same way, Anthony. I'm grateful for every moment we spend together."
"Easy for you says." The voice spoke to them.
When Silver and Anthony turned around, they spotted Gabriel and Jasiri, all dressed in medieval costumes together.
Gabriel Aquila wore an Hyena-theme costume consisting of a long, flowing tunic made of rich, dark blue velvet with intricate gold embroidery on the sleeves and hem. The tunic was cinched at the waist with a wide brown leather belt, adorned with a brass buckle in the shape of a hyena's head. For his completeness, Gabriel wore a long purple cape with a fur-lined collar, which flowed behind him as he walked. The cape was fastened at his neck with a silver clasp in the shape of a hyena's paw.
His mask was the pièce de résistance of the costume. It was made of molded leather, painted to resemble the face of a hyena. The mask was fitted with intricate brass hinges and gears, which allowed the ears to twitch and the jaw to move realistically as Gabriel spoke. Lastly, to complete the transformation into a hyena, Gabriel wore a pair of faux tails and ears made from soft, fluffy fur. The tails were attached to the back of his tunic, while the ears were mounted on a flexible headband.
As for Jasiri, the Hyena Queen, she too wore a medieval costume like Gabriel. Jasiri, is dressed in this Raven-theme costume consisting of a long, flowing gown made of dusty purple velvet, with a fitted bodice that hugged Jasiri's curves in all the right places. The bodice was adorned with intricate embroidery in dark brown and cream, depicting the feathers and flight patterns of a raven. Her skirt was made of layers of cream-colored silk, which flowed elegantly as she walked. The hem was trimmed with black feathers, adding a touch of drama and texture to the outfit.
She wore a long dark brown cloak with a hood, which was lined with black feathers to resemble the wings of a raven. The cloak was fastened at her neck with a silver clasp in the shape of a raven's head. Her mask was the crowning jewel of the costume. It was made of molded leather, painted to resemble the face of a raven. Lastly, to complete the transformation of a raven, Jasiri wore a pair of faux tails made from layers of black feathers, which were attached to the back of her gown. The tails were designed to move gracefully as Jasiri.
"I do dislike going to fancy parties." Gabriel said, "definitely not my type of party to go to." He took a drink from his glass cup.
Jasiri giggled. "Well, it's not my fault that Cinderella invited us to the Animal-Theme Masquerade Ball for the Princess Annual Event. I mean, I thought it would be fun to dress up in a medieval-theme costume, but I didn't realize how much work it'd be to get all this stuff together, especially with all those undergarments they wore back then."
Gabriel nodded. "True, I am not the type of person who would go to this big fancy party, it's usually a night full of elite people who like debauchery, drinking, and spreading gossip. That's why I prefer to stay away from these events." He said. "I prefer to party with people I know and have a good time with them."
Jasiri chuckled. "Yeah, I totally agree with you there. I don't want to go to any fancy party where I'm going to have to deal with all the drama that will happen."
Gabriel smiled.
Silver looks at them. "If you didn't want to go then why did you go?"
Both Gabriel and Jasiri looked at each other. They seemed unsure of what to say.
Gabriel cleared his throat. "Well, we didn't exactly have a choice. Cinderella's invitation came in the mail, and we had no choice but to accept."
"Yeah, I guess so," Jasiri added. "But as the representative of the Animal Kingdom, I felt it was important to attend the ball. Especially since I'm representing the kingdom of Animal."
Silver nodded understandingly. "I can see why you felt obligated to go, considering your position. It's important to fulfill your responsibilities as representatives. But I hope you're still able to find some enjoyment in the event."
Anthony chimed in, offering a reassuring smile. "Sometimes, even if we don't initially want to attend certain events, we can still find unexpected moments of fun and connection. And being together with friends like Silver and I can make the experience more enjoyable."
Gabriel glanced at Jasiri and nodded. "You're right. We may not have been thrilled about attending, but being here with all of you does make a difference. It's always better to share these moments with good company."
Jasiri smiled, her eyes sparkling. "Absolutely. And who knows, maybe there will be some pleasant surprises waiting for us tonight."
Silver raised his glass in a toast. "To unexpected surprises and unforgettable memories. Let's make the most of this evening together."
"And then later wake up in the hungover that we will eventually get an major headache in the tomorrow morning,"
They all laughed as they clinked their glasses together, savoring the moment and looking forward to the rest of the evening at the Animal-Theme Masquerade Ball.
The enchanting melody of the The string quartet began playing the next music of "Dancing on My Own" filled the grand ballroom, creating an atmosphere of elegance and romance. Cinderella and her Prince, their costumes resplendent in their regency Mice-theme attire, gilded towards the center of the dance floor, drawing everyone's attention, hand in hand underneath the chandelier. They began their graceful dance, their movements perfectly synchronized.
As the other guests watched the royal couple dance, they couldn't help but feel inspired. One by one, they stepped onto the dance floor, following the lead of Cinderella and her Prince, mimicking their steps and movement. Silver could recognize some dancers' faces on the dance floor behind their masks: Aurora and Prince Phillip in 1690s Deer-theme costume, Sally and Jack Skellington in 1910s spider-theme costume. Woody and Bo Peep (both in human size rather than toy size) in 1730s but different Animal-theme costume with Woody in Dutch Warmblood horse-theme and Bo Peep in white sheep-them, Silver could see Adam and Melanie on the dance floor dressed together in 1840s white deer-theme and Aline and Binx in medieval black cat-theme costume.
Silver and Anthony locked eyes, their masked faces revealing a mix of anticipation and desire. With a smile, Anthony extended his hand towards Silver, inviting him to join him on the dance floor. "May I have this dance, Silver?"
Silver's heart fluttered, and he placed his hand in Anthony's, feeling the warmth of their touch. "Of course, my Lord. I'd be delighted to dance with you."
With a gentle smile, their connection was electric, and as they moved together toward the dance floor and joined the others, they seemed to be in perfect harmony. Their costumes swirled around them, the dark elegance of Silver's Elizabethan attire blending seamlessly with the vibrant red of Anthony's 18th-century frock jacket.
They and everyone else on the dance floor started with a simple waltz, their steps light and precise. Silver's feet glided across the floor, the ruffles of his cape floating behind him like the wings of a majestic bear. Anthony led with confidence, his movements fluid and controlled like a fox, his eyes never leaving Silver's.
As the music swelled, the dance became more intricate, their bodies moving with a fiery passion. They twirled and spun, their movements becoming more daring and sensual with each passing moment. The chemistry between them was undeniable, and the heat between their bodies seemed to ignite the air around them.
Anthony and the other dancers dipped their partner low, their hand firmly holding their waist as their dance partner had one hand on their dance partner's neck and one arm out, their eyes locked in an intense gaze. Time seemed to stand still as they held that position, savoring the electricity that crackled between them. A soft gasp escaped their lips, a mix of surprise and delight.
With a swift motion, they brought their partner back up, their bodies pressed close together. The heat of their breath mingled, their hearts pounding in sync with the music. They moved as one, their bodies entwined in a dance that was both elegant and intoxicating.
The guests moved counterclockwise on the dance floor while the others moved the opposite, their steps became more intricate, their bodies moving in perfect harmony. They seemed to float effortlessly, their connection palpable to anyone who watched. The guests around them couldn't tear their eyes away from their dance partner, captivated by the raw passion and elegance of their dance.
As Cinderella danced with her Prince in the center, she couldn't help but look at her husband who smirked at her when they watched the two dance as they danced together. On the other side of the room, Dorado and Vicky watch Silver and Anthony's captivating performance from the sideline of the ballroom. Vicky leaned towards Dorado and whispered, "Dorado, look at them. They dance with such elegance and fire. It's as if they are telling a love story through their movements."
Dorado, nodded in agreement. "They are." He then gives Vicky a cocky smile. "But we are not the only ones who started acting like our animal personnel." Both of them chuckled before staring right at them.
Their movements were a delicate balance between control and abandon, each step infused with a hint of spice. Anthony's hands roamed Silver's back, tracing the lines of his costume, while Silver's fingertips lightly grazed Anthony's chest, sending shivers down their spines.
Anthony's lips brushed against Silver's ear from behind, his voice a sultry whisper. "You bewitch me, Silver. Your every move, every touch, drives me wild with desire."
The intensity between them grew with every passing moment, a magnetic pull that refused to be ignored. Their dance became a sensual conversation, their bodies speaking the language of desire. Their eyes conveyed a promise of passion, their movements a declaration of love.
And as the final notes of the music drifted away, Anthony and the other dancers held their partners close, their hearts pounding in sync. The applause and cheers from the audience broke the spell, bringing them back to the present moment. They pulled apart, their chests rising and falling with the intensity of their emotions. Their eyes locked once again, a silent understanding passing between them.
Silver's voice was barely a whisper as he said, "Oh Anthony, that was... breathtaking."
Anthony's eyes sparkled with a mixture of desire and adoration. "Silver, dancing with you is unlike anything I've ever experienced. It's as if the whole world fades away, and it's just you and me."
Everyone on the dance floor joined the others, their hands still clasped together, as they made their way off the dance floor.
Once Anthony and Silver exited the floor, they decided to go explore the garden of the King's Castle, their steps light and their hands still entwined, the moonlit path illuminated their way. The scent of blooming flowers and freshly trees filled the night air.
Silver's eyes looked at Anthony. "Shall we take a moment away from the bustling ballroom and find solace in the tranquility of the garden?"
Anthony smiled warmly at him. "We shall."
They walked hand in hand along the winding path, guided by the soft glow of lanterns that adorned the garden with some other guests who were also strolling around the garden. The sound of their footsteps echoed in the quiet night as they discovered a secluded gazebo, nestled amongst vibrant roses and ivy-covered trellises.
Silver's eyes widened with delight. "Oh, Anthony, it's like something out of a fairytale."
Anthony pulled Silver closer, his voice low and filled with affection. "Yes. And just like in a fairytale, you are my greatest enchantment."
As they passed a blooming rosebush, Anthony couldn't resist reaching out to pluck a delicate white rose, its petals soft and fragrant. He gently tucked it behind Silver's ear, his touch lingering against Anthony's glove hand.
"Oh Anthony," Silver sighs dreamily. "You have a way of making even the simplest gesture like a grand romantic gesture. I am captivated by your every move."
Anthony's cheeks flushed with a mixture of bashfulness and excitement. "It is because my heart is filled with love for you, Silver. Every moment spent with you is a treasure."
They continued to wander through the garden, their steps slow and deliberate, their hands never letting go. The whispers of the night and the fragrance of the flowers seemed to amplify the depth of their connection.
They then suddenly upon a tall gazebo, the same gazebo where Anthony meets the Dream Defenders. So they stepped into the gazebo, the moon casting a gentle glow upon them. Their masks were now removed, revealing their faces adorned with genuine smiles. Anthony gently brushed a lock of Silver's curled hair behind his ear, his touch soft and tender.
Silver leaned into the touch, his eyes never leaving Anthony's. "I have dreamed of a moment like this, where we can be alone, free from the prying eyes of the ballroom. Here, in the serenity of the garden, I feel like we can truly be ourselves."
Anthony's voice was filled with tenderness. "Silver, you captivate me in every way possible. Your grace, your intellect, and most of all, your heart. I am forever grateful for the chance to dance with you tonight, and for the moments we share now."
The air around them seemed to hum with anticipation as they closed the distance between them, their lips finally meeting in a gentle and passionate kiss. Time stood still as they lost themselves in each other, their connection deepening with every stolen breath.
Inside the grand ballroom, Cinderella and the Prince, their eyes filled with mischief, surveyed the enchanting scene. The guests, adorned in their animal-themed costumes and masks, looked on with anticipation. With a shared nod, they silently communicated their desire to create an unforgettable spectacle.
Cinderella's lips curled into a playful smile as she whispered to the Prince, her voice carrying a touch of Bridgerton-inspired charm. "Shall we gift them a spectacle that will ignite their hearts?"
The Prince chuckled. "Let us leave them breathless with our next surprise."
With effortless grace, they glided toward the center of the ballroom, commanding the attention of all present. The Grand Duke, ever vigilant, caught their subtle signal and nodded in acknowledgment.
In an instant, the atmosphere shifted. The dulcet tones of the grand orchestra filled the air, serenading the guests with the spirited waltz of "Firework." Suddenly, bursts of vibrant colors illuminated the night sky outside the towering windows, casting a spell of wonder over the crowd.
Gasps and cheers erupted from the enchanted guests as they rushed to the windows, their eyes fixed on the mesmerizing display. The night sky became a canvas of cascading lights, and the beauty of the fireworks reflected in the awestruck gazes of those within the ballroom.
The dance floor filled once again as the guests mirrored Cinderella and the Prince movement. They twirled and swayed, their masks adding an air of mystery and intrigue. Their eyes locked, conveying a shared desire hidden behind the masks they wore. Like a swirling kaleidoscope, they moved in synchrony, their bodies guided by the rhythm of the music.
As Cinderella and the Prince continued their dance, their movements grew more passionate and intense. The Prince and the other dancers hand pressed firmly against their partner's back, drawing them closer, their bodies almost touching. With every turn and dip, their connection deepened, the chemistry between them palpable.
The music swelled, its melody echoing the rapid beating of their hearts. Their laughter filled the air, mingling with the whispers of the guests as they watched everyone on the dance floor, completely enraptured. The Prince's eyes held a mixture of adoration and desire, his every move mirroring the strength of his emotions.
In a moment of heightened intensity, the dance reached its crescendo. Everyone spun in perfect unison, their bodies intertwined like stars in an infinite dance across the heavens. Their masks seemed to fade away, revealing their true selves to each other and to the world.
With strength and grace, everyone swept their dance partner off their feet, their body soaring through the air as they spin around.
Back outside, Silver and Anthony broke their long passionate kiss, the sound of fireworks echoed through the night sky. Their foreheads rested against each other, their breaths mingling in the cool night air. Silver's heart raced with excitement and he felt a newfound certainty in his soul as he gasped for air. "Anthony, I feel as though fate has really brought us together for all these years."
Anthony gazed deeply into Silver's eyes, his heart overflowing with fiery passion. "Silver, I am yours now and forever. No matter what happens between us, I will alway love you until I take my last breath".
They watched the fireworks light up the sky together in the gazebo, they stayed wrapped in each other's arms, cherishing the intimacy they had found in the garden. The world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in a sanctuary of love and promise.
I would like to say, I have to give credit to TheDragonSaver as he actually gave me a perfect idea for this chapter back in the review on Chapter 3. And what better way to have the Phantom of the Opera movie masquerade scene influenced this chapter in the beginning.
The Animal-Theme Masquerade Ball proved to be a night of wonder and splendor. With everyone in their masked identities, their true selves hidden beneath layers of intricate artistry from different time periods, The grand hall of the King's Castle became a stage for dreams to come alive, and for a fleeting moment, we were all transported into a realm of imagination and delight.
But let us not forget the blossoming romance that graced this splendid affair. Silver and Anthony, a delightful couple with an English and Mexican heritage, in their enchanting Black American Bear (but I am pretty we have seen this before) and Red Fox costumes. Their love for each other radiated from the dance floor, their coordinated movements a testament to their connection, to the gazebo where they embrace and share a passionate kiss as the sound of fire can be heard in the garden.
It is a joy to witness young love in such a magical setting.
Next Chapter: Silver and Anthony go on a romantic dinner date in London for the first time, marking their 10th date.
