Two weeks later on Sunday of August 31st, ever since the fatal car crash that happened five weeks ago and the unexpected visit of Duchess Vivian who brought concerns of her son's future and career as the future Duke. After Silver, fully recovered, was discharged from the hospital and able to fly back to Orlando Florida, he couldn't stop thinking about the private conversation he had with Duchess Draventon.
As Silver sat on his bed in his room, resting with his English Bulldog Buster sleeping beside him and curled up, he couldn't help but replay the conversation in his mind, analyzing every word, every subtle hint, searching for hidden meanings. Duchess Vivian's words had left a lasting impact, stirring doubts and insecurities within him.
Silver found himself questioning the strength of his relationship with Anthony and whether their love could withstand the pressures of British aristocratic society. He pondered the sacrifices they would have to make and the compromises they would be forced to endure.
The weight of responsibility and the realization that his presence might be hindering Anthony's path to becoming the Duke weighed heavily on Silver's heart. He loved Anthony deeply, but he couldn't ignore the fact that their relationship might be seen as an obstacle to Anthony's future.
"Can you provide him with the social connections?" Her words echo in his mind. "Can you give him the prestigious alliances, the financial stability that he needs? Can you ensure his place in high aristocratic society? Can you give him an heir… an heir… an heir?"
Silver's mind swirled with Duchess Vivian's questions, each one echoing like a haunting refrain. He had always known that his humble Hispanic background and lack of noble lineage could be perceived as a disadvantage in Anthony's world. His family aren't aristocrats like Anthony's family, they do not have a title like an Earl or even an Viscount, they do not have an old ancestral estate that was built from centuries ago, nor do they have any humble servants and maids to run their household for them.
But now, those doubts and insecurities loomed larger than ever before.
He pondered over the idea of providing Anthony with the social connections he needed, the prestigious alliances that would secure his place in high aristocratic society. While Silver does have connections and good relationships with the Disney Princesses in the magical world but in the real world? None, no connection from someone he knows of. Silver knew he couldn't offer the same level of influence and network that the Duchess possessed. He was just a commoner, someone who had fallen in love with a son of the most influential nobleman.
The thought of financial stability also weighed heavily on Silver's mind. Would he be able to provide the financial security Anthony needed to maintain their lifestyle and uphold his responsibilities as the future Duke? It was a daunting task, one that he wasn't sure he could accomplish on his own.
And then there was the matter of an heir. Duchess Vivian's emphasis on this point struck Silver deeply. As a gay couple, the prospect of having a biological heir was not possible for them. The pressure to continue the Draventon bloodline, to secure the future of the duchy, added an additional layer of complexity to their relationship.
Silver understood that as the future Duke, Anthony had certain obligations and expectations to fulfill. The weight of his noble lineage rested upon his shoulders, and Silver couldn't help but wonder if he was unintentionally holding Anthony back from his true potential.
If he was a woman….. if he was a commoner woman, perhaps things would have been different. Duchess Vivian's expectations for a suitable match might have been more lenient, and the pressure to continue the bloodline could have been less intense. But Silver knew that such thoughts were futile. He couldn't change his gender or who he was, and he shouldn't have to.
He loved Anthony for who he was, not for his title or noble lineage. Their love was genuine and true, and Silver believed that it should be enough to withstand any challenges that came their way. However, the reality of their situation and the weight of societal expectations cast a shadow of doubt over their future.
Anthony's parents trained him to be the next 8th Duke Draventon once his father had passed from a possible young age.
"There are certain aspects of Anthony's future that you cannot provide for him, as much as you may want to…." Duchess Vivian's voice echoed again. "….Anthony's future holds certain responsibilities and obligations. There are societal expectations, connections, and a carefully crafted path that he must follow. And unfortunately, your presence in his life poses a threat to all of that."
As Silver sat in deep contemplation, his mind and heart engaged in a tumultuous battle. He grappled with the fear of being the one hindering Anthony's future and the weight of Duchess Vivian's words, which seemed to suggest that their love was not enough. It was a battle between his love for Anthony and the harsh reality of their circumstances.
His thoughts turned to Anthony, the man he loved deeply. He remembered their laughter, their shared dreams, and the intimacy they had shared. Anthony had shown him a world beyond his own, a world of privilege and prestige, but also a world of love and acceptance. He couldn't bear the thought of losing that connection, of losing the man who had become the center of his universe.
But Silver also recognized that Anthony's world came with expectations and responsibilities that he couldn't fully comprehend. He had seen glimpses of the aristocratic lifestyle when he and the other four princesses attended uninvitedly, the lavish party they threw, and the societal pressures. He knew that his love for Anthony wouldn't erase those obligations, and he questioned whether he could truly provide everything that Anthony needed to fulfill his role as the next Duke.
Silver wrestled with these thoughts, he couldn't help but feel a sense of hopelessness. The weight of the noble expectations placed upon Anthony and the doubts cast by Duchess Vivian seemed insurmountable. The idea of letting Anthony go for the sake of his future pained him deeply, but he couldn't deny the possibility that it might be the best course of action.
His mind wandered to the future, imagining a life without Anthony by his side. It was a bleak and lonely picture, but Silver couldn't shake the feeling that it might be the sacrifice they both needed to make. He didn't want to hold Anthony back from his true potential or jeopardize his chances of fulfilling his noble duties.
"It's time you stop living in a fairy tale, Silver." Her voice was now stern. "He's a future Duke, and you're… That's something no amount of love is ever going to change."
In his heart, Silver knew that Duchess Vivian's concerns were not entirely unfounded. He couldn't give Anthony the connections or alliances that the previous Duchesses before Duchess Vivian could, and he couldn't ensure financial stability on the same level. The fact that he couldn't provide an heir as he was an male also weighed heavily on his mind, as he knew it was an essential aspect of Anthony's future duties.
"If you really love him… you'll let him go… let him go… let him go…"
The haunting echo of Duchess Vivian's final words before she left reverberated in Silver's mind, intensifying his internal turmoil. He loved Anthony with all his heart, and the thought of letting him go was agonizing. But he couldn't shake off the doubts that now clouded his mind.
He believed… he now believes... that Duchess Vivian was right, he needed to stop living in the fairy tale world and face reality outside the magical bubble.
As Silver sat on his bed, tears welled up in his eyes, and a heavy sigh escaped his lips. He looked down at Buster, his loyal companion, seeking solace in the comforting presence of his furry friend. The weight of his decision bore down on him, and he knew he couldn't ignore the harsh realities any longer.
Deep down, he understood that letting Anthony go might be the best thing for both of them. It would give Anthony the opportunity to fully embrace his noble responsibilities and secure his future as the next Duke Draventon. It would allow Silver to step aside and remove any obstacles that could hinder Anthony's path and allow Anthony find a lovely lady who can provide him everything that Anthony needs, including giving him an heir.
But the pain of losing Anthony was excruciating. The mere thought of a life without him felt empty and devoid of meaning. Silver's love for Anthony was undeniable, and he cherished every moment they had shared. The happiness, the laughter, and the unconditional support they offered one another seemed like distant memories, slipping away with each passing second.
As he held Buster close, Silver's mind replayed the countless memories they had created together. The trips they took, the dreams they shared, and the love they exchanged. They had built a world of their own, a sanctuary away from the expectations and judgments of society. In that world, their love had blossomed, untainted by the burdens of titles and obligations.
But reality had a cruel way of intruding upon their idyllic existence. Silver couldn't ignore the fact that his humble origins and lack of noble lineage would always be a point of contention in Anthony's world. He couldn't provide the social connections, financial stability, or the ability to continue the Draventon bloodline that were all crucial aspects of Anthony's future.
As the realization sank in, Silver knew that he couldn't selfishly hold onto Anthony, even if it meant sacrificing his own happiness. He had to let go and give Anthony the opportunity to fulfill his destiny. It was an act of love, a painful choice made for the person he cherished most in the world.
With a heavy heart, Silver made a difficult decision. He reached for his phone and dialed Anthony's number.
Anthony answered the call, his voice filled with warmth and love. "Silver, my love. How are you? I've missed you."
Silver's voice quivered with emotion as he mustered the strength to speak. "Anthony, we need to talk….. It's important."
Later that evening at 8 pm in the United Kingdom, Anthony sat on the swing alone in his secret garden on the grounds of Draventon Estate's garden. He waited for Silver to arrive as Silver wished to speak with him privately alone about the important issue he wanted to address.
As the dark sky began to twinkle over the picturesque garden, Anthony's heart raced with anticipation and a hint of trepidation. He couldn't help but wonder what Silver wanted to discuss, sensing the seriousness in his voice during their phone call.
The swing swayed gently in the cool evening breeze, and Anthony found solace in the tranquility of the garden. It had always been his sanctuary, a place where he could escape the pressures of his noble upbringing and simply be himself. But tonight, the weight of uncertainty hung in the air, dampening the peaceful atmosphere.
He gazed into the lake, his mind consumed by thoughts of Silver and the conversation they were about to have. Anthony knew that their relationship had reached a crossroads, and the outcome would shape the course of their lives.
As the minutes ticked by, the sound of footsteps approaching caught Anthony's attention. He turned his head, and there stood Silver, his face a mix of three emotions—sadness, determination, and a touch of resignation.
Silver's eyes met Anthony's eyes, and the connection between them was immediate. They had shared a lovely moment in this garden when they first met at the Draventon Ball, their love blooming among the fragrant flowers and whispering trees. But tonight, the ambiance was different. It was tinged with a bittersweet sadness, a heaviness that weighed on their hearts.
Anthony rose from the swing, taking a step toward Silver. His voice trembled with ambivalence. "Silver, what is it? What did you want to talk about?"
Silver took a deep breath, his gaze never leaving Anthony's face. He knew that the words he was about to speak would shatter their world and break both their hearts. But he had to be honest, for the sake of Anthony's future and the love they shared.
He walked past him and sat on the swing with Anthony sitting down beside him.
"Anthony," Silver began, his voice laced with sorrow. "Do you remember when we first met at your Family's 270th Anniversary Masquerade Rococo Ball?" He asked.
Anthony nodded, a flicker of nostalgia crossing his features. "Of course, I remember. It was a magical night, and it changed my life forever. Meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me."
Silver's heart ached at the memory of that night, their chance encounter in the Estate garden filled with elegance and enchantment. He reached out to hold Anthony's hand, intertwining their fingers.
"It was a magical night indeed," Silver agreed, his voice filled with both longing and pain, he let go of his hand and walked toward the lake and looked down at his reflection. Instead of himself, he sees the image of him as Lady Golden. "I was under disguise as 'Lady Golden' along with the rest of my four friends, the Disney Princesses; Anna, Ariel, Jasmine, and Rapunzel. All of us crash into your ball and blend in with the other guests."
"I remember it all too well," Anthony replied, a gentle smile gracing his lips as he stood beside him and look down, in his eyes, he only see their reflection of themselves in their regular attire, but in Silver's eyes, he only see themselves in the costume they wore at the Draventon Ball. "You were the most enchanting Lady Golden at the ball, and I was immediately drawn to you. Little did I know that behind that mask was the man who would capture my heart." He chuckled as he took his hand.
Silver's smile wavered, and he squeezed Anthony's hand tightly. "Yes, it was a night filled with magic and serendipity. But Anthony, we need to face the reality outside of that enchantment. We need to talk about our future."
Anthony's smile faded, and he turned his full attention to Silver. "Huh? What do you mean, Silver? What's going on?"
Taking a deep breath, Silver gathered his thoughts, knowing that his next words would change everything and knowing this would break both of their hearts.
"Anthony, I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I've had a conversation with…. with myself recently." As much as he wants to tell him about his mother suddenly visiting him at the hospital unexpectedly. But he doesn't want to be responsible for ruining or even damaging the mother and son's relationship and have Anthony blaming her even though she is just expressing her concern. "About our relationship and the challenges we may face."
Anthony's brow furrowed, a perplexity on his face. "What kind of concerns, Silver? I don't understand." Soon, his voice trembled as he realized what he was talking about. "Silver… do you... do you wish to end our relationship?"
Silver's voice cracked as he spoke, the pain evident in his words. "I don't want to, Anthony. But I can't ignore the reality of our situation. I can't provide you with the connections, financial stability, or the ability to continue the Draventon bloodline that are expected of you. I realize that my presence in your life might hinder your path to fulfilling your noble duties."
Anthony reached out to grab Silver's hands. "Silver, please don't do this. I can't imagine my life without you. You're my everything, and I don't care about the expectations or the bloodline. All I want is to be with you."
Silver's heart shattered at Anthony's plea, his own tears streaming down his face. He knew that letting go of Anthony would break his own heart as well, but he believed it was the right thing to do. He couldn't bear to hold Anthony back from his true potential that was built for him.
"I love you, Anthony. More than anything in this world," Silver whispered, his voice filled with pain and longing. "But I can't be the one to hinder your future. I can't stand in the way of your responsibilities and obligations as the future Duke. You deserve someone who can provide you with everything you need and deserve. Someone who can give you the life that you were born into."
Anthony's grip tightened on Silver's hands, and his voice was filled with desperation. "No, Silver, you're the only one I want. I don't need any of that if it means losing you. Please, let's find a way to make this work. I can't imagine a life without you by my side."
Tears streamed down Silver's face as he looked into Anthony's eyes, his heart breaking with each passing moment. "If I were a female, I could give you everything you want, Anthony. I wish I could be the one to fulfill all your desires and dreams. I could bear you with many children, and give you an heir you need. Even if you said that we could go see Yzma to see if she could create a magical potion for me so that I can change my gender and we can be happy together." He said to him, "But I know deep down that I won't do it. I can't change who I am just so we can meet everyone's expectations in your noble community. And I can't bear to see you sacrificing your future for me that your family has built centuries ago."
Anthony's voice trembled as he fought to hold back his tears. "You are my future, Silver. Nothing else matters if I don't have you. I can't let you go."
Silence enveloped them as they held each other's gaze, their hearts torn between love and duty. In that moment, they knew that their love was genuine and strong, but the challenges they faced seemed insurmountable.
Silver's hands slipping out of Anthony's grasp. He felt the weight of his decision pressing down on him, threatening to crush his spirit. "I'm so sorry, Anthony. But I can't be selfish or cruel. That is not what I have been raised or taught to do. I can't hold onto you if it means hindering your future. I love you too much to do that."
Anthony's voice cracked as he pleaded one last time. "Please, Silver, reconsider. Let's find a way to face these challenges together. I don't want a future without you. I don't want to lose you."
A sob escaped Silver's lips as he fought to maintain his composure. "I don't want to lose you too, Anthony. But I can't ignore the reality of our situation. I can't provide you with the connections and financial stability you'll need as the 8th Duke. And the fact that I can't give you an heir..." Silver sniffed. "I am a boy playing dress up and acting like some princess. I am not what I am supposed to look or be like the other guys. In my mind, there are different worlds creeping in. The heavens and Earth collide. I am not who you should be hanging out with."
"Do you love me?" He asked softly.
"You don't want to wish a life with me for yourself." Silver shook his head. "No one wishes that."
"Silver!" Anthony exclaimed, his voice slowly rising up.
Silver looked up at him, caught off guard by his exclamation.
"I will stand with you between the heavens and the earth, I will tell myself who I should be with, do you love me?" Anthony shouted
"I love you!" Silver exclaimed back.
"And I love you!" Anthony replies back, taking Silver's hands in his. "From the mo... From the moment after you have left my family ball with your slipper behind... I have loved you desperately. I cannot breathe when you are not near. I love you, Silver. My heart calls your name."
Silver stared at him, his eyes glistening with unshed tears, he pulled his hands back from Anthony and began taking off his heart-shaped locket that he gifted him on their 10th date, he then handed the locket to Anthony.
"I don't want to let you go, Anthony," Silver whispered, his voice trembling with emotion. "But I also don't want to be the reason you can't fulfill your duties and obligations as the future Duke. I want what's best for you, even if it means sacrificing my own happiness for you."
Anthony shook his head, his voice choked with emotion. "Silver, you are my happiness. Without you, my world would be empty. I can't imagine a life without you by my side."
Silver cupped Anthony's face in his hands, his voice filled with tenderness. "Anthony, listen" Silver sighed.
[Song: Gotta Go My Own Way - High School Musical 2, most of the lyrics have been changed]
Silver:
I gotta say what's on my mind
Something's changed between us, it's hard to deny
Our lives don't seem to match
Whenever we try, it feels like we're living a lie
Silver looks around, reminiscing about the moments he and Anthony shared in this very garden when they first met, the moment when Anthony shared his secret garden to him that no one, not even his family, knew about for the first time.
Silver:
It's a difficult choice I have to make
But I know I can't fit into your aristocratic life
For both our sakes
Silver's mind races with conflicting emotions, torn between his love for Anthony and the realization that their worlds may never truly align.
Silver:
I've got to move on and let you go
I just don't belong in your world, it's clear as day
We may find our paths align someday
But at least for now,
I have to go my own way (My own way)
Silver turns away, tears glistening in his eyes, and starts walking away from Anthony toward the door that leads to the exit of the secret garden, who watches him silently, his heart heavy with the weight of their parting. Anthony stands in the secret garden, watching Silver disappear from sight. His shoulders slump, and a tear escapes, rolling down his cheek, as he realizes that Silver's departure is inevitable.
Silver:
Don't want to abandon everything we had built
But reality keeps setting in
And I watch them fall every time
Another color turns to gray
And it's painful to see it all slowly slip away
Silver walks along a winding pathway, lined with leafy trees, their branches gently swaying in the breeze.
Silver:
I'm must go right now
'Cause I gotta do what's best for us
You'll be okay
He casts a final glance back at the entrance that leads to the secret garden, before he let out a heavy sigh and continued walking.
Silver:
I've got to move on and let you go
I just don't fit into your world, it's crystal clear
He gazes at the grand estate in the distance from afar, his heart heavy with the realization that it's not where he belongs.
Silver:
We may discover our common ground in time
But at least for now
I gotta go my own way
Now back to the main garden of the Estate. Silver looks towards the water fountain as he walks past by it, the trickling sound drawing his attention. The same water fountain where they first met and where Anthony spoke to him in sudden surprise. Anthony, silently following him, managed to catch up to him.
Anthony:
What about the love we shared?
What about all the moments that we cared about?
Silver turned his head over his shoulder to look at him. Each of them stood across beside the water fountain just a few feets away from each other.
Silver:
What about your life?
Anthony:
I don't care about my lie.
Anthony's intense gaze was fixed on Silver, silently pleading for him to stay. Every fiber of his being yearned for Silver to remain by his side forever, knowing that their love was real and meant to be. His heart was heavy with the weight of the moment, knowing that he may never find love like this again.
Silver:
And what about your family?
Anthony:
What am I supposed to do?
Anthony's mind raced with possibilities, desperate for a solution that would allow them to be together. He was willing to give up his aristocratic lifestyle, even his life, just to be with Silver, the one he loved and cared about. Even going as far as thinking of them running away and eloping together.
Silver:
I have to leave, but I wish you well, oh
Silver's voice trembles with raw emotion as he ponders the unanswered questions. He yearns for a future where their love can thrive, but he knows deep down that it is not possible. It is not possible for him to be with Anthony, the heir of the Draventon lineage, as he must be fully prepared to take on his role as the 8th Duke once his father, Duke Edward, passed.
Silver (Anthony):
So, I've got to move on and let you go
(Please don't let me go)
I just can't blend into your world, it's clear as math
(I'm trying to make sense)
Silver's heart grew heavy with emotion as he walked away from Anthony. Though he longed to turn back and run into his arms, he knew that he must control himself and let go. With firm resolve, he steadied his steps, even as his heart cried out in pain. It was one of the hardest things he had ever done, but he knew it was the right thing. He would always carry the memory of their love but his broken heart will never fully heal.
Silver (Anthony):
We may discover a place where we both belong
But at least for now
(I don't want you to go)
I gotta go my own way
And so he walked away, his steps steady but heavy with the weight of his emotions, his heart torn between the love he felt and the need to let go. Though it was one of the hardest things he had ever done, Silver knew that it was the right thing, and that he would always carry with him the memory of their love, and the hope that one day they might find a way to be together again.
Silver:
I've got to move on and let you go
(What about us?)
I just don't belong in your world, it's clear as day
(But you fit in my fantasy world)
With each steady step he took, he felt the weight of his love for Anthony pulling him back, while the reality of their vastly different worlds pushed him forward. As he ascended to the top, his mind raced with thoughts of what could have been, and what he knew could never be.
Silver:
We may find our place in this world someday
(World someday)
But at least for now
Once he reaches the top, he looks back one final time, his heart torn between his love for Anthony and the realization that their love cannot bridge the gap between their worlds.
Silver:
I gotta go my own way
Anthony watches him leave as he climbs the steps that lead into the ballroom, tears streaming down his face, filled with love and heartbroken loss in his eyes. He looks down to his right hand and unfolds to see the heart-lock that he gifted him.
Silver:
I gotta go my own way
It was a bittersweet moment, with his heart torn between the love he felt and the harsh truth that their love was not enough to bridge the divide between them.
Silver:
I gotta go my own way
Silver stepped into the dark empty ballroom of the Draventon Estate. The faint moonlight streaming through the tall windows cast eerie shadows across the polished marble floor. The silence enveloped him, matching the heaviness in his heart.
As Silver made his way further into the room, a flicker of movement caught his attention. His eyes widened as he saw Duchess Vivian standing in the center of the ballroom, bathed in a soft glow. A fitted, black suit jacket with padded shoulders and a nipped-in waist to accentuate Duchess Vivian's broad shoulders and hips. The jacket has a high collar and wide lapels with a matching black pencil skirt that falls just below the knee, with a high waist and a slight flare at the bottom to balance out the jacket's structured silhouette. A white, high-necked blouse with long sleeves and a ruffled collar to add a touch of femininity to the otherwise austere look. A pair of stockings and high-heeled pumps in a matching shade to elongate Duchess Vivian's legs.
For jewelry, a pair of oval ruby shaped diamond earrings surrounded with a gold band. For the makeup, she wore a bold, dark red lipstick, and smokey eye makeup with neutral shades of black and brown to complement Duchess Vivian's jade eyes. As for her hair, it was put in a lower bun.
Duchess Vivian's voice carried a tone of both pride and understanding as she spoke to Silver. "Silver, my dear, you've made a brave and right decision," she said, her words laced with a deceptive sweetness. "Thank you for listening to my concerns and following your heart."
Silver's heart skipped a beat. He swallowed the lump in his throat and forced a smile, trying to hide the pain he felt inside. "Duchess Vivian," he greeted her, his voice tinged with a mix of sadness and resignation. "I understand the responsibilities Anthony carries as the future Duke. I know it was the right decision, but it doesn't make it any easier."
The duchess approached him, her gaze unwavering. "Love often requires sacrifices, my dear sweet child," she said, her voice dripping with false sympathy. "You have shown great maturity and wisdom by recognizing that. Anthony is destined for greatness as the future Duke, and his responsibilities are vast. Sacrifices must be made in the name of duty, even if it means ending your relationship."
Silver nodded, trying to convince himself that he had done the right thing. Deep down, though, he couldn't help but feel a sense of loss. The love he had shared with Anthony was something he cherished, and now it was slipping away.
Duchess Vivian placed her hand on his chin and lifted his head up for his eyes to meet hers', her grip surprisingly firm. "Remember, Silver, sometimes the sacrifices we make pave the way for a greater purpose. You have a bright future ahead of you, with opportunities beyond what you can imagine. Embrace your path and let go of what cannot be."
As Silver looked into her eyes, he couldn't help but wonder about the hidden agenda behind her words. However, for now, he nodded once again, playing his part in this twisted dance of fate.
"I will do my best to move forward and embrace what lies ahead." He replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
Duchess Vivian gave him a soft fake smile, but her smile is sending a shiver down to Silver's spine. "You're a wise young man, child. I'm proud of you for understanding. You've made the right choice, and I assure you, everything will work out for the best."
Silver forced a smile, his heart aching with melancholy. "Thank you, Your Grace. I suppose it's time for me to move forward and focus on my own path instead."
With a final, lingering gaze at the ballroom, Silver turned and walked away, leaving behind the shattered pieces of his heart and unknowingly stepping into a tangled web of deceit and danger that would test his strength and love in ways he never could have imagined.
As Silver disappeared from sight and exited out of the Draventon Estate, Duchess Vivian's demeanor changed. The sweetness in her voice evaporated, replaced by a cold and calculating tone. She turned away from the ballroom, her eyes gleaming with a wicked delight.
"Finally," she whispered to herself, her voice filled with satisfaction. "No longer will that wretched boy tarnish our family name. Now, Anthony will be free to fulfill his destiny, without the distraction of that insignificant commoner."
Her smile widened, revealing a glimmer of malice.
Duchess Vivian had always despised the idea of her son being involved with someone beneath their social status. To her, Silver was nothing more than a hindrance, an obstacle standing in the way of Anthony's bright future as the Duke.
With her plan executed flawlessly, Duchess Vivian could already taste victory. Her plan to separate Silver and Anthony had succeeded, and now everything would go back to normal, as if Silver had never entered their lives. She knew that Silver's departure would break Anthony's heart, but she cared little for her son's emotions. The only thing that mattered to her was power and maintaining the family's reputation.
Now that Silver is finally gone forever, Anthony can now walk down the correct path.
