Ok, people, this here is a remake of the original chapter I posted. When I first started this story, I didn't know all too much about the Lantern Corps. So instead of bringing in the Black Lanterns too soon, I might have to go back, and redo some other chapters as well, so this new chapter may be a little short, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.

After using the warp jump ability, the two Green Lanterns and Blue Lantern were now deep in Frontier Space.

"Where are we, Thaal?" Eddie asked.

Sinestro looked down to his ring. "According to my ring, sector 666. From what I'd heard from the Guardians this sector is just one of many that was massacred in the Manhunter attack."

They then looked to see a nearby planet. One that was dark looking and looked completely devoid of life.

"Something about that planet feels very bizarre. Let's have a look," Sinestro said, and Elsa and Eddie followed him down to it.

On the planet, it truly was completely devoid of life, not another living soul anywhere.

"Ugh, this place is really starting to give me the chills," Eddie said looking all around.

"You and me both," Elsa said feeling uneasy.

Sinestro then spotted what looked like a cave in sight and flew towards it, with Elsa and Eddie following close behind.

Once the trio of Lanterns landed on the ground floor, they walked into the cave, and all used their rings as flashlights to light their way.

Walking all along the way they found nothing in sight.

"Well, something tells me we're not gonna find anything on the Red Lanterns here. This place is devoid of life and completely empty," Eddie said.

Sinestro looked all around shining his light all over the walls and once they reached the end of the cave something caught his eye. "Not entirely. Look there," He pointed his light at the wall for them to see some strange alien inscription carved on the wall.

Remembering the power rings could translate other languages, Eddie shined his light on the inscription as well and translated it to English.

Sinestro then moved his ring close to his face. "This is Green Lantern 1417 calling the Guardians. Come in."

The two Guardians Appa and Sayd both appeared on his ring. "Sinestro, have you found anything on the Red Lanterns?" Appa asked.

"No entirely. But we did uncover something on a planet in sector 666. Carved into the wall there appears to be what looks like a prophecy of some sort. It reads as follows. 'A face of metal and flesh shall speak of the secrets of the 52. Fear will rise. Willpower will gather. And a wave of light will unleash the truth behind the power of the ring.' And then there's this other inscription that reads, 'You think you are strong. But death is stronger. It is the pure power of the far end of the Emotional Spectrum. The emptiness of space. The Blackest Night!' I don't know what any of it means, Guardians but I don't like the sound of this at all."

For a few seconds the two Guardians' faces had looks of horror.

"Is everything okay, Guardians?" Eddie asked.

They quickly regained themselves. "Yes. We know nothing of this Blackest Night, but what we do have intelligence of is the Emotional Spectrum," Appa said.

"And what exactly is this Emotional Spectrum?" Thaal asked.

"The Emotional Spectrum is the combination of the 7 energies powered by emotions," Sayd responded.

"Yes. When we had regained our once banished powers, we had also gained knowledge of these different emotional energies. Altogether there is red powered by hate, orange from avarice, yellow fueled by fear, green powered by willpower, blue from hope, indigo by compassion and violet from love." Appa explained.

"Wow. That's quite a few colors," Eddie said sounding surprised.

"Who knew there were all these different colors of these energies?" Elsa said.

"We will look into this Blackest Night prophecy you have discovered. In the meantime, you shall continue your mission of gathering intelligence on the Red Lanterns," Appa said.

"Yes, Guardians," Sinestro said and terminated the communication, then looked to Elsa and Eddie. "Well, we have a mission to proceed with. Let's go."

That being said, the trio of Lanterns took to the skies and left the planet. Little did they know, in the shadows elsewhere a familiar half scarred face watched them all leave.

"They must not uncover the truth before it can begin. Once it has there will be no stopping the fulfillment of the Blackest Night."

Well, that's all I've got for this one. I hope you like this remake chapter, them discovering the Blackest Night prophecy. Soon I'll be getting to the rise of the Black Lanterns. But first I have to set things in motion which I'll try my best to do with upcoming chapters. When they're posted, I hope you like them. Please read, review and enjoy.
