All right people, here's the next chapter. This is where Atrocitus sends that fleet to earth, for revenge on Eddie. So I got a few ideas for this chapter, but won't say what they are, just that it'll involve them getting some extra help from other people who aren't in a Lantern Corps. Let's move on, shall we?
On planet Oa, the Guardians hovered in the air in front of their citadel, as the entire Green Lantern Corps were hovering around the rest of the planet, listening to their announcement.
"Green Lanterns," Appa began to speak. "I've called all you here because you are all about to be sent on a very important mission. Our general has uncovered secret plans from the Red Lanterns on Ysmault; Atrocitus plans to send an entire fleet of warships to attack planet Earth. After much discussion with the general, we the Guardians have decided that you shall to defend and fight against this army to defend the planet."
As Appa spoke, Eddie moved in close behind them, only now he had one slight difference: His hair color was no longer black, but instead light brown.
"You shall be lead into this battle by General Edward J Michaels," Appa continued. "He is the one who brought this information to us, and it seems only right he will be the one to lead you. However before you depart I must warn you all that this fleet shall be much bigger than the last. Therefore it will be more dangerous, and as afraid as I am to say it, some of you may not make it out of this alive. Still, you all know your duties. You know the responsibilities of being Green Lanterns. Now go forth and fight!"
The Guardians moved away and let Eddie go in front of them.
"All right, people. Let's do this thing. Let's show these red menaces what happens when they mess with a defenseless planet."
With that said the entire Green Lantern Corps, lead by the human Blue Lantern general flew off into space, making their way towards Earth.
Outside Earth's atmosphere in the starry skies of space, many red portals began to open up, and out from them flew thousands of the Red Lantern's warships.
In the control room of the lead ship, Atrocitus looked out the window and down to Earth.
"Earth. Birthplace of those pitiful humans. They shall know the true meaning of destruction." He pressed a button on the control panel, which allowed him to speak through to every other ship. "All ships release the Manhunters."
As Atrocitus commanded, each ship opened their hatches, and hundreds of Manhunter robots started pouring out and descending towards the planet's surface.
On the planet, in Chicago, it was the middle of the afternoon and people were all along the streets, looking up into the skies, and could see the ships high in the air. They were all filming it with their phones and chattering in wonder.
And then the Manhunters came into view; They all pulled out their cannons, and opened fire, killing citizens destroying buildings and vehicles, and causing the people to all scatter about screaming.
Many Manhunters landed on the ground floor and continued to open fire, others flew through the air, blasting at buildings, spreading all about causing mayhem and destruction wherever they went.
Multiple news reporters were standing across different areas, doing their jobs, by foolishly staying and filming the mayhem.
Sirens sounded through the running crowds screams, and a few dozen police vehicles and SWAT vans pulled up.
The troopers got out of their vehicles, armed with guns, and started to open fire on the Manhunters.
Their gunshots had some effects on the Manhunters and started to blow holes through the killer robots, and make a few drop to the ground; But the Manhunters started to counterattack, and return fire, thus killing multiple police, and destroying some of their vehicles.
Multiple Red Lantern ships started to descend to the planet, and fly through the skies, shooting red laser blasts at buildings and at citizens, killing more and more of them by the minute.
With all the destruction going on and terrified citizens running about, people on the road were abandoning their cars, and running for their lives as well.
There was very little room with people running everywhere, that some started to trip and get trampled. Manhunters started to descend to the ground and one looked to a man attempting to get back up, and it aimed its cannon at him.
Before the Manhunter could blast the man, a blue spear shot through its metal torso.
"Get over here!" Eddie yelled using his spear on a chain construct to pull the Manhunter towards him, after which he constructed a metal arm over his right arm and ripped the robot's head off.
Suddenly green blasts started to attack the Manhunters and the Red Lantern's ships, and citizens started looking to see where it was coming from.
They had looked to see the entire Green Lantern Corps was descending to the planet, and began to fight the Manhunters.
"Let them have it, Green Lanterns!" Eddie yelled aloud joining the battle. "Attack like there's no tomorrow!"
The entire Corps engaged in battle, attacking both the Manhunters and the Red Lantern's ships.
Eddie flew through the skies, blasting and destroying Manhunters.
A group of 12 of Manhunters then surrounded him.
"This could be a problem," Eddie said to himself and started to fly off, with the Manhunters in close pursuit.
They were firing laser blasts from their cannons at the human Blue Lantern, and he returned fire from his ring. Eddie then got an idea, and he quickly constructed a rocket pack, and started firing over a dozen rockets at them, destroying half of the Manhunters.
The Manhunters stopped flying and started opening fire at him, which Eddie countered by constructing a round shield.
While fending off those few Manhunters, another one flew up behind him and aimed its cannon at him, but before it could blast Eddie, a green and pink combined blast hit it, destroying it instantly.
The explosion caught Eddie's attention and he looked to see Elsa and Anna floating down to him, both in their Lantern clothing.
Eddie smiled at the sight of them, but then quickly turned his attention back to the Manhunters, and saw his shield was beginning to crack. He dissolved it, and flew at the robots and constructed a chainsaw, which he used to cut three of them in half. Afterwards he constructed a set of miniguns on his back, then fired rapidly at the remaining ones, blowing them all to smithereens.
Once done with those Manhunters he made his way to the snow queen and her sister. "Guess we weren't apart as long as I thought."
"I'm glad. I've missed you ever since we parted ways," Elsa responded as she and Eddie shared a hug.
"So how've you ladies been?"
"We've been really well. Anna and Kristoff are getting better with their power rings. I've been taking them to Oa for training and they've done quite well."
"It's been rough, too. Our trainer really likes to push us beyond our limits," Anna spoke up.
"Who's their trainer?" Eddie asked.
"One of the greater Green Lanterns. What was his name again?" Elsa tried to think. "Um...Kilowog I think it was."
"Kilowog? Hal told me about him. He takes training very seriously."
"I see you've changed your hair," Anna said pointing out Eddie's new hair color.
"Oh, this. This is my natural hair color. I've just been dying it black for a while to try something new out. Just haven't gotten the chance to get more hair dye."
"I like it like this." Elsa said.
"Really? Well in that case, maybe I'll keep it like this."
"Excuse me!"
The trio looked to see Guy Gardner, fighting a few Manhunters.
"Did you forget about the whole Red Lantern ordeal. Talk later, fight now!"
"Guy's right," Eddie said. "We'll have time to catch up later, and boy have I got loads to tell you about all this. But for now, let's save the planet."
The two sisters nodded and they all flew back out into the battle.
Groups of Green Lanterns began to construct giant cannons and started to open fire on the ships flying through the skies, which started to blow some of them up, but there were still thousands more out in space, and more that continued coming through the red portals.
Hal and Carol were back to back blasting at Manhunters, and noticed the Green Lantern army was starting to get beaten back, for the Red Lanterns were in greater numbers and had heavily armored weapons.
John Stewart looked at the ships and Manhunters and knew they were getting outnumbered more and more by the minute. He flew off, in another direction and Guy looked to see him leaving.
"John! Where you going?! You can't just leave us; We need all GLs fighting!" Guy exclaimed.
"We'll never beat them all. There's too many of them!" John responded.
"So what you're just running away?! Very heroic!"
"I'm not running away; I'm gonna make a call. We need more than just the whole Green Lantern army, we need help from some other friends I've made as a Green Lantern." And he continued to fly off.
"They'd better be good allies," Guy said to himself and flew off to rejoin the battle.
While half the Corps fought to protect Earth, the other half flew into space to fight the oncoming fleet and Manhunters.
Elsa and Anna were in a battle in the air, back to back shooting blasts from their rings at the Manhunters.
"This is getting difficult," Anna said. "Where are they all coming from?"
"Eddie told me about what all happened; He said he went to the Red Lantern's planet to find what they were up to and found out they were building an army big enough to wipe out an entire planet." Elsa replied creating a shield construct to block some of their fire.
And then, all of a sudden Anna had been blasted back with a red energy blast.
"Anna!" Elsa exclaimed before she too was it with another blast seconds after.
They were both knocked onto a buildings rooftop and they looked to see that familiar and unfriendly face hovering above them.
"Hans!" Anna glared angrily at him.
"Long time no see, Anna. So you're one of those Star Sapphires now?" said the Red Lantern prince. "It matters not. It won't protect you against my power."
"We'll see about that, you backstabbing traitor!" Anna yelled and zoomed at him.
"Anna, wait!" Elsa yelled.
As Anna flew at Hans she constructed a sword, and prepared to swing it at him.
Hans however simply rolled his eyes with a smirk and constructed a sword of his own in his left hand, which he used to block the princess' attack and then blasted her away with his ring. He then looked to see Elsa flying at him and shot another blast at her.
Elsa constructed a shield which blocked his power blast for a few seconds, before it was destroyed and she got blasted back as well.
"Face it. Neither of you are stronger than me." He pointed at Anna saying, "Your powers are fueled by the love in your heart, but mine come from my hatred. And I have plenty of hatred for the two of you."
"Maybe so, but I have plenty of love in my heart for a lot of things, Hans. Unfortunately for you, you're not one of them. Not anymore anyway!"
Anna aimed her ring at him and started shooting pink gems at Hans, who countered by putting up a shield.
"Is that all you got?" Hans asked, but then Elsa flew towards him and kicked him in his gut, knocking him away.
"Let's see how you handle the two of us together." Elsa said to the prince.
Hans glared angrily and constructed a sword then flew at them both.
Anna flew at Hans, constructing a shovel and blocked his sword as he swung at her, then she kicked it from his hands and slammed her shovel on his head, and finally blasted him away with her ring.
Elsa then took her chance and flew at Hans, constructing a giant hand and grabbed him with it. After grabbing him, Elsa threw him high into the sky, then zoomed passed him till she was right above him, she constructed a round shot cannon then blasted him back down with it.
Hans went falling down to the ground and crashed into the hard black pavement of the road, making a crater where he fell.
As the smoke and dust cleared away, Hans got back up and cracked his joints back into place, then looked back to see Elsa and Anna descending towards him.
He glared angrily and flew at them once again, constructing a battle axe. He yelled loudly as he reached the two sisters and attempted to bring his axe down on Anna, but she quickly constructed a hammer and blocked his attack.
Hans and Anna both stayed in that position, locked in battle and then Hans looked to see Elsa coming at him to assist Anna.
"Manhunters!" Hans called out.
After he called out to them, about a dozen looked to Elsa and flew at her.
Elsa took notice of this as they started to open fire and she constructed a shield to block their attacks. But in seconds it was destroyed from all the hits it was taking.
Elsa quickly flew away from the Manhunters, and they gave chase while continuing to fire at her.
The snow queen returned fire from her ring, and then to her surprise one was hit with a purple blast and got blown to pieces.
Both the Elsa and the remaining Manhunters looked to see Kristoff descending to them, and along with him was Iroque and the rest of the Indigo Tribe.
The whole tribe flew into the planet's atmosphere and helped fight off the Red Lantern invasion.
"Glad to see you made it, Kristoff," Elsa said to the mountain man.
"Would have been here sooner, but it took Iroque and I time to gather all the other tribe memebers."
"Better late than never. This Red Lantern army is bigger than any of us had anticipated, so we'll need all the help we can get."
"Then let's get out there. We've got a battle to win," Kristoff said as he and Elsa flew off into battle.
On the ground, citizens were still running from Manhunters that were flying through the air, chasing them and shooting laser blasts from their cannons at them.
But then without noticing, the Manhunters got hit with a red beam, which blew them up instantly.
Eddie took notice of this and looked surprised. "Who did that?" He said and then he looked to see someone fly above him and use eye lasers to destroy one of the nearby ships. "No freaking way." He said with a chuckle. "Superman?!" The human Blue Lantern exclaimed.
It was none other; A man wearing a blue suit with a red cape and boots and a yellow and red S on his chest.
Eddie flew up to him. "Son of Krypton himself. Such an honor to meet you in person."
Superman smiled. "Likewise. And who are you?"
"I'm Eddie. First human to be chosen by the Blue Lanterns. What are you doing here?"
"John called and told us about this unfortunate problem. Decided to help out."
"I'm really glad you did, but one extra ally isn't gonna help against this whole invasion."
Superman smiled again. "That's why I brought some friends."
On the ground area people were still scattering about, trying to get away from all the mayhem, but were stopped by half a dozen Manhunters.
The killer robots aimed their cannons at the citizens, but then a bunch of bats screeched overhead and then a grappling hook hooked itself onto a light post and someone in a black and gray costume swung down towards them and landed in front of the Manhunters.
"Batman!" one of the people exclaimed happily.
"You all run. I'll deal with them," Batman said and then touched a device on his wrist and started to shoot fire from his wrist at the Manhunters.
In other ground areas, more of the Manhunters were walking through the streets, blasting at people and buildings, but then a red streak zipped past, faster than the speed of light making numerous ones disappear.
The few remaining ones looked around and scanned the areas.
In seconds two more Manhunters disappeared from that red streak, leaving only one left.
It continued scanning the area, and then looked to see something coming at it; A man in a red suit with a lightning bolt symbol on his chest and two lightning bolts on the sides of his head.
He ran at the Manhunter and he ripped it in half and finally stopped.
"Oh, yeah! No one's faster than the Flash!"
But without him knowing, another Manhunter landed behind Flash and aimed its cannon at him.
Before it could fire however a gold lasso wrapped around its arm, and somebody yanked it away and used a sword to slice it in half.
Flash looked to see a woman wearing red top with a blue skirt and red boots, gold gauntlets on her wrists and a gold tiara in her long black hair, wielding a sword and shield.
"You've really got to learn to watch your surroundings, Flash," Wonder Woman said to him.
"I know that. Just caught me off guard," Flash retorted and he zipped off fast as lightning once more.
Among all the mayhem, Manhunters still continued to walk through the streets and then someone caught the attention of 3 of them; A young teenage boy who had a flat black hairdo and was wearing a short sleeved red and yellow t-shirt, blue jeans and a pair of tennis shoes.
The Manhunters aimed their cannons at him.
But instead of running away, the boy began to face them down.
"Shazam!" He yelled aloud and instantly a bolt of lightning struck his body, morphing him into a muscular man with a more slicked up hairdo, wearing a red suit with a yellow lightning bolt on his chest, a long white cape and gold boots.
Before the Manhunters could attack, Shazam shot lightning from his hands at them, which overloaded and blew them all up.
The new hero took to the skies and joined in the battle.
In the skies, both Elsa and Eddie regrouped and looked to the extra allies they'd gotten.
"Who are they?" Elsa asked.
"Well that guy in the red suit and white cape, I've never seen before. But the others are the Justice League."
"The who?" Elsa asked again.
"The Justice League: Earth's mightiest heroes. It seems John is part of their crew. Together these guys can beat back anybody. Winning this battle just got somewhat easier."
"Well, as I said to Kristoff, we'll need all the help we can get. So let's get out there and win this."
"You said it."
Both Elsa and Eddie took off in separate directions and got back into the battle against the Red Lantern invasion.
All right I think I'll stop here for now. Once more sorry for the long wait. As usual I'm slow on ideas and needed time to come up with all this. Anyhow I hope you liked this one, bringing in the Justice League to help fend off the Red Lantern's army. I don't know much about DC because I'm bigger on Marvel, but I do know a little about DC heroes and I'll be sure to put the Justice League to use in this as much as I can come next chapter.
