Aiden was tending to one of the flower beds of Undine Park, the young man quickly turning the activity into a hobby.
He leaned down to the flower bed and inhaled the soothing aroma of the pink roses.
("You really have come far when it came to taking care of plants, sweetie.") Eva complimented her adopted son. Aiden's imagination picturing her with a proud smile on her angelic face.
("Well it's all thanks to you, dear~") Sparda complimented his wife in a sultry tone. No doubt sending her a smirk to go with it.
("Oh, you and your demon charm.") Eva flirted back.
Aiden chuckled amusedly as his parents were now getting flirty with each other. It was always nice to hear his adoptive parents being affectionate to one another other as it brought him a sense of warmth.
"Well isn't this an unexpected sight!" A royal boisterous voice called out to him.
Aiden turned to see a smirking Leo looking down on him with his arms crossed.
"Hey there, Leo. How are you doing on this fine evening?" Aiden asked the 2nd king with a gentle smile.
Leo straightened up his chest as he answered the emo haired young man. "Just taking in the calming scent of the well cared flowers. Expect my surprise when I saw you taking of care them alongside the gardeners here."
"I guess you could say it's for nostalgic purposes. Me and my mother would tend our gardens when I was a child, so you can guess what that type of childhood pastime would do to me whenever I see these flower beds." Aiden explained to the 2nd king. Comforting memories of this activity were resurfacing as if they had happened yesterday.
The 2nd chuckled amusedly "They sure bring back pleasant memories, don't they?" Leo looked down on the flower bed Aiden was tending, the sun rays giving the pink roses a healthy pink glow.
"They do..." The young man replied quietly. The roses always looked beautiful when they were shining under a cloudless sun.
The 2nd uncrossed his arms, straightening up his chest with a toothy smile. "Welp, I won't waste anymore of your time here! I'll be going back to my kingly duties... more accurately the paperwork" He muttered in disappointment.
"Then I'll be seeing you around, Leo. Take good care of yourself, okay? You don't want that paperwork to become the very thing that slays you." The young man teased Leo with a small smile.
"Hah! It will take more than some stacks of paper to put me down. Nonetheless, I appreciate your concern." Leo replied in his boisterous tone.
Aiden glanced at him for a moment before looking down on the pink roses, their vibrant glow telling him that his work here was done.
He stood up and let out a satisfied sigh, taking his leather gloves off and pocketing them inside his coat.
He took another glance back at Leo as he was making his way out of the park. A small crowd of civilians surrounding him as they wanted an autograph from their prideful king.
("He sure is loving the showering attention of his people.") Sparda commented plainly as the 2nd king was signing autographs and sending his people a proud smile. Further fueling the crowd's excitement.
("Well he is the prideful type. I'm certain his way of speaking would tell you that.") Aiden replied.
The raven haired youth walked to the opposite way. Not looking forward to facing the small crowd that was quickly growing by the second as more nearby civilians joined in to get an autograph from the 2nd king.
Taking one last glance at Leo, the 2nd king was now surrounded by an army of adoring fans, which would've put the immediate call for help to anyone who was in his position. Though his toothy smile told a different story.
("Are you going to help him by any chance, Aiden?") Eva asked her adopted son, the worry shown in her voice.
("I would if I didn't have any future meetings.") The young man answered as Leo's knights were now forced to rescue their king by the now large crowd.
With said king proudly smiling throughout the entire situation.
("I take back everything I just said, Eva. He'll be fine.") Aiden answered to his foster mother in a nonchalant tone, proceeding to walk away from the scene.
...
Aiden rubbed a clean towel up and down the Black Ghost's blade to get rid of any moisture or dust particles that may have built up throughout the black colored steel.
The young man decided that now was the appropriate time to clean every single part of the Black Ghost as he didn't want the katana to malfunction while in battle.
So far, he has giving an in-depth cleaning to the handle and the scabbard. The smaller parts were quicker to clean as he just wrapped a wet, clean towel around them to seep out any dry stains.
Once he was done giving the blade a good cleaning, Aiden rose the blade over his head, giving it a satisfied smile as the blackened metal shone brightly, like a holy light illuminating a dark cave.
He slid the guitar case right next to him as he proceeded to place all of the clean parts inside it's designated spots.
The interior of the guitar case also went through an in depth cleaning.
After Aiden placed the last part in the case, he turned his head to his door as he heard someone knocking on it.
"Right on time, Ky"
The young man got up from his bed and closed his guitar case before he walked to the door.
Once he opened it, he was greeted with the 1st king sending him a friendly smile "Are you ready to go, Aiden?"
The young man responded by slinging his coat over his right shoulder "Lead the way, your majesty"
...
Ky opened the pair of elegant white doors of his European style mansion, holding them open for his guest to come in.
Aiden thanked him as he stepped into his home. A female servant approached the 1st king and asked him if he'd like to prepare a tray of tea for their guest in the living room.
Ky answered 'yes,' she bowed before leaving to prepare the tea.
"Follow me, I'll show you the way to my living room." Ky said as he motioned his head down the royally designed hallway of his home.
As the two of them were walking, Aiden began inspecting the interior of the manor. He had to say, the color scheme of blue and white fitted Ky's calm, collected, and gentle personality.
"The other kings must have similar features in their homes " The raven haired youth thought.
The two of them stopped for a brief moment as Ky opened another pair of elegant white doors that showed a pretty spacious living room.
Along with two other people.
"Oh, hey dad! This the new guest?" A friendly, youthful voice called out to Ky.
The voice belonged to a young man that had an eyepatch covering his right eye. His blonde hair was unkempt, emphasized by the lots of spiky blonde locks that were swept to the left.
Though his hair wasn't the only eye catching feature...
("Dear lord! Just how many times has this young man visited the gym!? ") Sparda exclaimed in response to Sin's muscle mass that was way more larger than Ky's.
("Or what they have been feeding him.") Eva added in a disbelieving tone.
Aiden shared his foster parents shock as he looked up and down at Sin's physique. Just what kind of training regimen does he follow to earn that bodybuilder esque physique?
("Wait a minute... did he just call Ky dad?")
Aiden surprise was then replaced by confusion.
Why did this young man, who looked like he has just reached his 20s, called a man who looked like he was in his late 20s, his father?
Ky smiled softly at his 'son.' "Hello to you too, Sin. And yes, this is our guest for the evening." The 1st king introduced the raven haired young man to Sin.
In response, the blonde young man sent Aiden a beaming smile, filled with nothing but pure friendlyness "Nice to meet ya then! Name's Sin!"
"Umm, yeah, likewise. My name is, Aiden. It's a pleasure to meet you, Sin." Aiden introduced himself to the king's 'son' in a slightly nervous tone.
"So we gonna sit down and get this started or what dad?" Sin eagerly asked his father.
Ky chuckled softly to his 'son's' eagerness "Don't worry, we'll get started once our tea is here."
The three of them walked to the couches that surrounded the room's coffee table.
Though they weren't unoccupied as a blue haired woman, whose hair was tied into two wavy tails by yellow ribbons, sat on the central couch that was longer than the rest.
She turned to them, her crimson red eyes looking directly at their guest.
"So this is the guest you were talking about, dear." The woman said in a soft, gentle voice.
She stood up and crouched down to one knee, both of her hands stretching out her large skirt of her black and white dress. "My name is, Dizzy. The wife of Ky and the mother of Sin. It's a pleasure to meet you"
The guest sent the queen a curt bow. "A pleasure to meet you as well, ma'am. My name is Aiden."
The guest sat himself on the couch that directly faced the royal couple. Their son sitting near them on a smaller seat.
Not long after, the female servant from before came in and placed the tea tray on the coffee table. Ky and Dizzy thanked the servant, who responded with a bow before leaving.
Ky picked up the tea kettle and began pouring the hot liquid into the set of elegant designed tea cups.
Aiden noted that these cups looked different that the ones he saw in Ky's office.
Ky let out a satisfied hum as he finished serving the tea before setting down the teapot onto it's designated white plate. He rose his head towards his guest, nodding his head for the raven haired young to take the first sip.
Aiden did just that as he wrapped his index and middle finger around the cup's handle and brought it to his lips.
The raven haired young man let out a satisfied sigh as he swallowed the liquid.
Ky's family followed suit.
"You sure know how to serve me some good tea, your majesty." Aiden complimented the 1st king.
"Well I consider myself a man with good taste. So I appreciate the compliment." Ky responded with a light chuckle.
Dizzy let out a hearty giggle while Sin rolled his eyes, though it was more out of amusement.
"Alrighty then, Aiden. Is it true that you came out of a portal?" Sin bluntly asked Aiden as he leaned towards him.
"Is that an appropriate question to ask him, Sin?" His mother replied in a slightly scolding tone.
"But isn't true?" Sin rebutted.
Aiden let out a light chuckle "Yes, Sin. I did in fact appear from a portal."
"See?" The one-eyed blonde said smugly.
Ky shook his head, mildly annoyed by his son's smugness.
"Though I didn't appear in the middle of the kingdom. Instead, I found myself in the middle of the forest." Aiden resumed the recap of his arrival.
"So how did you manage to get here?" The queen asked.
"Simple. I let the wind guide me."
Looks of confusion swept across the royal family. That wasn't an answer one would casually give.
"Could you clarify on that, please?" Dizzy asked.
Aiden got fidgety on his seat, feeling a bit nervous in giving the red-eyed queen his best answer.
"It's... a pretty long story. But in summary, I have the power of wind manipulation."
"So you can summon tornadoes!? That's freakin' awesome!!" The one-eyed blonde yelled out in excitement, his eye appearing as if it had sparkles.
"I can... I just never had been put in a spot where I had to utilize it." The guest replied in a slightly surprised tone. This was the first time in a while that a person was extremely eager to know about the wind powers he had received from Fujin's soul.
"Then maybe you can show me some other time? I really want to see you summon some cool tornadoes!"
Aiden surprise increased in hearing Sin's suggestion.
("He's inviting me to hang out with him?")
("No,") Eva corrected (",I believe he wants to spend time with you. It seems you're interesting enough for him to know you a bit more.")
Aiden felt quite confused yet conflicted to hear that. Was it really a good idea for Ky's 'son' to spend time with someone like him?
"Y-Yes. That sounds like it could be fun."
And yet he agreed. What kind of force made him agree to spend an entire day with the 1st king's son? Did he suddenly reawaken his urge to socialize again?
"Awesome!" The energy of the royal couple's son broke him out of his conflicted trance.
"Sin, if you want Aiden to showcase his powers, then please do it in an area where no one could get harmed." Ky advised with a more stern expression.
Sin sent his 'father' an offended pout "Come on dad! You know I'm not that careless."
His parents responded with amused chuckles.
"Hey! What's so funny!?"
"You just look adorable when you puff up your cheeks like that, sweetie." Dizzy pointed out.
That quickly caused Sin's face to turn a light shade of red. A light growl emitting out of his throat.
Aiden stared at this family dynamic with a soft smile. Reminding him of similar times he shared with Sparda and Eva.
Times when he felt like he was a normal child again...
Ky quickly took notice of the soft expression their guest was wearing.
"You look quite happy, Aiden." Ky said. Breaking him out of memory lane.
"It's just the way you three interact with one another reminds me a lot of my own."
That answer caused Ky's smile to drop. The realization of the fate of Aiden's family dawned on him like heavy rain.
His wife took notice of her husband's mood, clenching his hand with hers.
"Is there something wrong, dear?"
Ky turned to face his wife's concerned eyes.
"I should've told you about this before Aiden arrived..." He whispered to her. A tinge of regret slipping from his tone.
"Is there something wrong, dad?" Sin asked, noticing his father's saddened look.
"No, everything's fine. My mind's has just been forming troubling thoughts from the attack we've endured a few nights ago." Ky answered his son with a reassuring smile.
His son easily bought the lie his father has just formed "Oh, yeah. You did tell me about that yesterday. Jeez! Can't we just catch a break for once!?"
The 1st king chuckled to his son's complaints. He, along with various others, shared the same sentiment.
"Am I missing something here?" Aiden asked. He was curious as to what Sin meant when he said "for once."
"As much it's important for me to bring you up to speed of what has happened in the past few years, it would eat up all of our time we have with you."
"That would be a major understatement, dear." Dizzy added in as she let out a soft chuckle.
"So we're gonna demons that came from Hell to our list of crazy sh- I mean crap we have fought?" The one-eyed blonde asked to his parents, almost saying a curse word at the last second.
His father sighed tiredly "Guess so."
"Are you planning on telling the public about this?" The king's queen asked, voicing out her major concern.
"Once I tell the rest of the New United Nations about this. It is necessary they're the ones to know about this first." The 1st king answered. As much as he wanted to hide this from the world, it would be futile as there was a chance that those foul creatures would perform another sudden attack at any moment.
He refused to give the enemy the element of surprise.
"You choose what's best for everyone, Ky. You know me, Sin, Elphelt, and Ramlethal will support your actions until the end." Dizzy assured her husband, squeezing his hand to emphasize her support.
Ky's smiled widened. He truly was blessed to have such an amazing and compassionate woman like Dizzy in his life. Even more so when they both became husband and wife.
The laugh of their son broke them from their romantic moment, turning to see Aiden conversing with Sin while he held a one ringed nunchaku that had snowflakes pouring out of the three rods.
"What are you holding there, sweetie?"
"Aiden's cool nunchaku dog!" Sin answered with an excited grin.
The royal couple became confused by their son's answer.
Aiden exhaled with a small smile to Sin's mistake "What Sin meant to say, is that he's currently holding my weapon, Cerberus." His reddish-brown eyes looked into the royal couple's. "You're familiar with Cerberus, right?"
Dizzy nodded, she has read various books revolving around the myths and legends of demons and gods.
"We are, why do you ask?" The 1st king was both questioning and interested as to why their guest was asking about the triple-headed demon dog.
Aiden leaned back on his seat, his head looking down on the weapon Sin's hands were wrapped around.
"What your son is currently holding... is the weaponized soul of Cerberus himself."
Shock overcame the faces of the royal family.
The next conversation would forever notify the family, and soon the rest of the world, about one of the destructive capabilites that the Underworld possessed.
