Chapter 9: Ultraman Taro and Tsukino Usagi
Usagi woke up as she ate her breakfast and meet the rest of the inner senshi at Makoto's house.
"Usagi, you're late!" Makoto said.
"I'm sorry, Mako chan."
"It's ok, we still have time." Minako said.
Makoto then got to the kitchen and poured four cups of tea to the tea tray as the other girls are talking.
"Rei chan, I have something to tell you."
"What is that? Ami chan?"
"A few days ago, When I was sleeping in my bed, I dreamt a person."
"Oooh, Ami chan. Was it Ryo?" Usagi asked in curiosity.
"Not really, Usagi chan, I met a person; It was a metal faced guy."
"Metal faced guy?"
"Speaking of which, Ami chan. I also met one!" Minako said.
"Who was that?"
"Well, I remember he was called Ultraman, something."
"Ultraman?" Ami asked.
"I also met one in the dream, Ami chan!" Rei exclaimed.
"Wait, everyone, Why are you suddenly talking about Ultraman?"
"Usagi chan, why do you know Ultraman, is there something happening to you?"
"Rei chan. Nothing."
After Makoto put the cups of hot tea on the table, she stopped.
"What are you guys talking about?" Makoto asked.
"Mako chan, Do you know who is Ultraman?"
"Ultraman?" Makoto thought for a while.
"Minako, You mean Ultraman 80, right?" Artemis said.
"Ultraman 80?" Ami asked.
"Wait, Artemis!"
"Minako, since everyone was here, so I think it's time to tell what we witnessed." Artemis said.
"Alright girls. A few days ago, I met Ultraman 80, he was playing with the kids in the kindergarten."
"And for me, I met Ultraman Leo, He saved me from the nightmare from Nehelenia's copies; We also trained martial arts together." Rei continued.
"I met a person, called Ultraman Jack. We chatted a lot in the dream."
"What about you, Mako chan?" Usagi continued.
"Me?"
"Mako chan, about the battle against a Youma, I didn't think that you can be able to finish the Youma." Ami said.
"You also met one Ultraman, Mako chan?" Usagi asked.
"Alright, alright. I confess. I met Ultraman Ace, he and I worked together and fight against the Youma."
"So you didn't do it by yourself, Mako chan."
"Ami chan, I'm sorry I lied to you." Makoto replied.
"At least we know the truth that Makoto actually met an Ultraman before." Rei replied.
"What about you? Usagi? Have you met someone before?" Minako replied.
"Well, I met one."
"Who was it then?"
"Do you remember one time, that when you all girls died?"
"Queen Beryl, yes. I remember. And you were left alone." Rei said.
"I was all alone, and I collapsed on the ground. Somebody scooped me up. Taro san, came to me."
"Taro?" Makoto asked.
"Also an Ultraman?" Ami asked in surprise.
"Yes, Ami chan. He was hugging me."
"I did remember when we were spirits; We hugged together." Minako said softly.
"After I died, I was the one that saw him hugging Usagi, but because we give our words to Usagi chan, we need to let her finish the job; so we simply just let go of the embrace and left."
"Rei chan, I also heard from what Taro san said; He was crying."
"Crying?" Ami asked, considering the fact when he met Jack, he didn't even shed a tear.
"Ami chan. Maybe he was crying because of the past."
"Ultraman have feelings?" Artemis asked.
"This is the first time that I've heard of this." Makoto said.
There is a blue light shined in front of the inner senshi, they were all surprised. And once the light faded, Usagi is happy.
"Sorry for scaring you girls, my parents offered me a visit to you girls."
"Taro san!" Usagi exclaimed and hugged him.
"Usagi?" Minako is shocked to see what Usagi is doing.
"I missed you so much!"
"Uh, Usagi? Mamoru is your true love." Ami said.
"Ami chan, Mamo-chan knows already." Usagi said.
"Since when does he know about this?" Rei asked, sipping his tea.
"Well, One time he was suffering from a nightmare, The Youma appeared, and I saved Mamoru and Usagi's life." Taro said.
"You kill Youmas?" Minako exclaimed.
"Just doing it with Mamoru and Usagi, my rays didn't really have the ability to kill them."
"I understand now." Makoto replied.
"So, what happens afterwards?" Ami continued.
"Taro san gave a chat to Mamo-chan, they have a good relationship together."
"If that's the case, then I don't have to worry. Usagi chan." Ami said in relief.
"We're just worried that whether you are cheating on Mamoru san." Rei replied.
"I know Mamoru and Usagi were lovers."
"So, Taro san, now you're here, let's do a brief greeting together."
"Sure, Usagi."
"Nice to meet you, Taro san. My name is Kino Makoto, Also known as Sailor Jupiter."
"My name is Hino Rei."
"Mizuno Ami."
"Aino Minako." All the inner senshi introduced themselves one by one and shook his hands.
"Pleased to meet you girls. I've always wanted a chance to meet you all."
"And I'm Artemis, sorry for being late."
"Almost forgot about you, Nice to meet you, Artemis." Taro said as he shook hands with the cat.
"You're welcome, Taro san." Rei said happily.
"Taro san looks cool, don't you think, Rei chan?" Minako whispered.
"He is from the same race, like the Ultramen that we mentioned, I assume." Rei said.
Taro heard what Rei said and answered.
"Yes. Rei, I'm in league with the Ultramen."
"Since it's the first time meeting you, Can you tell us the past on why you are in league with them?"
Taro explained everything that happened when he was young, he had to train with his parents; Also the parents explained to him about the Ultra brothers, in the past. Moreover, he explained to the sailor senshi about the strict training on the past, to train himself to be as strong as the parents. Along with one time that his brothers need to face against Alien Hipporito, all of his brothers were turned into bronze statues; Ken came to the rescue, but due to the massive energy that he gave to Taro for training; he didn't have much energy to fight against him; so he gave his color timer to Ace; Finally, Ace used his last bit of energy and fight against it, and successfully defeated the vicious alien. He also revived his brothers.
The inner senshi were saddened to hear the fact all the Ultra Brothers had all been defeated; reminded them when they were defeated twice; leaving Usagi to defeat them. Now they understand why Taro needs to be with Usagi.
"I feel sorry to hear from what Taro san needs to go through." Minako said.
"But at least Ace san had saved the day." Makoto said.
"When I was hugging Usagi, she said that you girls die by saving her; It also ached my heart. If I go to earth and save my brothers, I will also be devastated to see them dying like this." The red ultra said.
"Are you alright?"
"Usagi's tears were so heavy that it could not stop. And never had I comforted a person; As the most times I went to earth and fight the monsters, I've never felt such feeling being hugged before…" Taro said in sadness.
"I'm sorry, Usagi. I cannot fulfill the promise to protect you…" Rei said, lowering her head.
"It's alright, Rei chan." Minako said as she comforts her.
"Her cries were so heavy, and this is probably the loudest cry I heard from Usagi…. Her tears keep dropping… And after you girls' spirits left me. I noticed my eyes are welled up with tears also. I don't know why? I broke my promise to myself for not to cry." Taro said as he clutched his heart.
Makoto and Ami rushed to the red ultra and patted his shoulders.
"It's ok." Ami said.
"It's common to have feelings, Taro san. People laugh, people cry; it's normal."
"Crying really releases my emotions. I literally cried along with her for 40 minutes."
"40 minutes. That's really a record." Artemis said, leaping on the sofa.
"Artemis, you scared me again!" Minako exclaimed.
"Sorry for scaring you, Minako, but after I heard what you said about crying; I didn't notice you Ultras could have emotions." Artemis said.
"The first tears that I shed in my entire life. I tried to wipe my tears, but they burst like a dam. I cannot control it anymore, I hugged Usagi even tighter."
"You probably have emotional empathy to Usagi, Taro san." Ami said.
"Emotional empathy?"
"You felt Usagi's pain for losing us, because you have flashbacks on you losing your brothers and also how you failed the expectations to yourself on training with your parents." She continued.
"No wonder I felt more tighter when I was still crying; so it was Taro san hugging me."
"I don't want to lose anymore people; especially you, Usagi. You really had gone through enough." Taro said.
"And I don't want to lose Mamo-chan, and you too, Taro san. From what you did to comfort me. I can see you are genuinely come to sooth me."
"You first thought Taro was not an ally in the start?" Minako asked.
"I was very upset to see him didn't appear from the first start, and then I thumped his chest." Usagi said.
"But, Usagi. Taro san at that time didn't even know what's going on, plus, he just got there." Makoto said.
"I got slapped."
"Slapped? Taro san slapped you?" Minako said in shock.
"I did slap her, this is the only way to make her calm."
"Then did you do any damage, Taro san? I almost put full force to my slap to Usagi before." Ami added.
"I did pretty much damage to her, Ami chan. I slapped her, and she stuttered a few steps."
"That's rude! You don't have to do this to Usagi!" Rei said angrily.
"Rei chan, Taro san did this to me is to let me understand that I must listen to what he said. He did this for my own good." Usagi said.
"I'm just proofing Usagi I'm not some sort of bad guy to mock her."
"Thanks to Taro san, I can release my emotions; and I'm able to save the world."
"You have to thank him for encouraging you, and also the inner senshi." Artemis said.
They nodded to each other as to see that Taro cares about Usagi, and he even cried for her.
"Can we hug you, Taro san?" Ami asked.
"Treat this as a promise between us." Makoto said.
"Usagi, if Taro san didn't appear, I didn't know you met him." Minako added.
"Let us hug each other." Rei said softly.
"Taro san. You too."
"Don't forget about me." Artemis said.
"Thank you, everyone."
The Inner senshi, along with Artemis wrapped their arms around the red ultra. Taro felt this hug, is almost as warm as the time he was hugged by his brothers, when they first met each other, they vowed the brothers would defend the land of light, no matter what it takes. He smiled and wrapped his big arms to the inner senshi, vowed they would be each other; no matter any tears, any pain, any sacrifices, they won't let go.
"Usagi chan, Inner senshi, Artemis. I won't leave you all."
