When everyone had scattered, it was just Arizona and Ghost. The liquid that she drank stained her tongue blue, and was sickly-sweet. The only other one that stayed was the small Eliskni, Eido. Arizona sipped at the sickly-sweet liquid inside, and it made her head spin all the same.

"I…My father says…" She didn't seem to know how to best start.

Arizona smiled, "You've met Maria, haven't you? And you're gonna ask if I remember anything, right?" She didn't wait for an answer. "I don't remember anything."

"Actually, I was going to say we haven't formally met. My father says you were reborn in the Light, so I didn't think you'd actually remember us."

Arizona felt the color drain from her face and yet it also burned. "Sorry, I'm just used to those questions. My name's Arizona."

"I am Eido, Scribe of House Light, daughter of Misraakskel." She continued.

"A scribe, huh? What does a scribe do?"

"Well, I write down House Light's history. Where we've been and the major events that take place, so that future generations can read them."

Arizona nodded, "I see. That sounds like an interesting job. Why do the other Guardians call Misraakskel Mithrax? His name doesn't sound too hard to pronounce."

Eido shrugged. "For some reason they have a hard time pronouncing his name." She stood. "I should meet the Spider."

Arizona stood, downed the rest of the contents in her glass, and followed Eido. "I'll come with you!"

The Spider sat on his throne, which was now surrounded by ghost shells. Out of all the Eliksni, he was the biggest, save for Mithrax who was even bigger than him. Arizona had only wanted to go with Eido to get a closer look at The Drifter's "friend". Arizona lingered away from him, staying near the walls.

Eido politely introduced herself in the same way she had introduced herself to Arizona.

"Yes, Misraaks and I are well acquainted." The Spider said slowly.

"I have heard the stories." She answered innocently.

The Spider sounded amused, "Have you now?"

"Do you hold a title, sir? I've heard what they call you…"

"I hold a great many things. Spider is better than Fallen and no worse than your old man letting the Guardians call him Mith-Racks." He laughed.

"Oh, I bet I could think of a few other names for you." Arizona muttered.

"Shh!" Ghost scolded.

"What? He's clearly making fun of her. She's being polite and he doesn't care."

"And I don't want him turning on you next. If he finds out about our…well, he'll use it against you. Trust me, don't get into it."

Arizona stared at him. "You know this guy too?"

"No…but I have a friend that knows him too well?"

She folded her arms with a sly smile on her face, "Is it Argonaut?" Ghosts panels whirred furiously.

"If you must know, Glint told me." Ghost huffed.

"Yes, some of them struggle to pronounce his name." Eido told him.

"Yes, it's surprising what they struggle with."

"Well, I hope to assist with the Guardians somehow."

"Very plucky of you, Eido. How does your father feel about your involvement? Seems these old pirate crews have put a touch of fear into him."

"Yes he seemed…apprehensive. But I am a Scribe. Chronicling our history is part of my position. And deep down he must be excited about the adventure as any of us."

"Oh, I'm positively thrilled." He sounded bored again, and started to play with one of the ghost shells he held in his hand, spinning the panels this way and that way, turning and twisting. Eventually his eyes met Arizona's. His eyes widened ever so slightly, as if he were raising his eyebrows. She didn't like the look he gave her. She thought about melting into the crowed for a moment, but his gaze held her in place. "Now, little scribe, if you'd be kind enough to excuse us…" he motioned toward her, "The Guardian and I have business to discuss."

Arizona's stomach flipped. This wasn't exactly part of the plan. Eido, however, only bowed, "Of course. Welcome to the Last City. May the Light provide." She walked away, disappearing into the crowed that had gathered at the one entrance and exit that Arizona could see.

The Spider laughed once she was well gone, and the other Eliksni that held his banner of a spider laughed as well. "May the Light provide! Misraax, you old charlatan, you've built quite the house of cards here." He waved one of his upper hands. "Well, what are you standing there for? I told her I wanted to talk to you. I'm anything but a liar." He chuckled at his last words.

Arizona put a hand on Ghost, and took a deep breath, as if somehow his courage could pass to her, and she stepped in front of the throne. The Baron was even bigger than she thought, and on his throne it made him appear larger than life. He peered down at her.

"Look, I'm just going to bore you even more than Eido did."

He chuckled, "Are you now? Why did you not go with Argonaut after these…pirates? He's already left, hasn't he?"

"Arizona…" Ghost whispered sternly.

"I work for Ikora she's training me, so I must stay close to the Tower for when she has need of me." It was partially a lie. Truthfully, Ikora had her hands full with the Pyramid her Hidden discovered in the Throne World, and she hadn't called upon her to help out. After her stunt with the Cabal, even Zavala was hesitant to give her missions. Though, this lull was what gave her the opportunity to sneak away to the European Pyramid, and start wielding the Darkness like the other Guardians did.

"Ah, I see, is that it?" He leaned back in his throne.

"I told you I was boring…curiously though, the name Spider is a purely human one. Named after a small animal that roams here on earth. Humans and, to some extent, Exo's used to keep them as pets."

"Oh? And how do you know that?"

Arizona felt a smirk teasing at her lips. "Because I read. That means you have another name, an Eliksni name. What is it?"

The Spider laughed with his whole belly this time, but she could hear the other Eliksni behind her only chuckle along. "Leave me. I am not giving you that name."

Arizona walked backwards toward the exit. "I'll find out, Spider. You'll see, I'm too good at extracting information from even the most unlikely of sources." Slowly, she turned around and walked outside, feeling Spider's glare on her back.

"What did I tell you?" Ghost scolded.

She shrugged, and the wind picked up to move her silvery hair into her eyes, which she quickly pinned back behind her ear. "He started it."
