Chapter Seventeen:

After receiving the radio transmission from what the Devils at Hogwarts started to suspect was either a Witch fused with it or the actual Japanese Aircraft Carrier who had become a Phantom-Ship after her original death at the Battle of Midway on the 4th of June in 1942, Hermione Granger sent her parents a letter informing them that she was enjoying her time at Hogwarts and that she had obtained a new pair of friends, alongside asking them if they could find and send her a book on the various warships from World War 2.

Mostly in order to hopefully be able to research the various armaments that was available to the hexagon eyed girl after she discovered that she could manifest the Tirpitz' various weapons as versions that appeared to be wieldable by humans, which was proved to be false when Enuma tried (as the weight of the weapons was the same as full sized version) in her Ship-girl-form (as Enuma semi-teasingly called the form that Hermione assumed in her first moments after fusing with the Tirpitz). The first one of the Tirpitz' smaller weapons that Hermione manifested was one of the Tirpitz' sixteen 10.5 cm FlaK 38 anti-aircraft guns as a kind of single-shot rifle, similar to some of the earliest firearms, which had a deceptively powerful punch (and loud) for a gun it's size, completely smashing the rather big rock that the hexagon eyed girl used for target practice, though considering that it was actually an anti-aircraft gun it made sense.

There were a few things that Hermione was curious about her King, but seeing as the hexagon eyed girl had started to learn that there were things that Enuma simply didn't want to talk about, she kept her inquiries out of too personal spots. The first question that wasn't met with a refusal to answer was a question about the golden ripples that appeared during the fight against the Troll, which Enuma actually answered by explaining her Sacred Gear. The Gate of Babylon. The second question was regarding the title that the Kaga used in the radio transmission, which was revealed by Enuma to be a title she had earned. The Red Duchess. The violet eyed girl was apparently highly skilled in the air, even more so than most Devils. While all Devils could fly with their wings and achieve very impressive feats of speed, Enuma had access to one of (if not the) fastest aerial vehicles ever made thanks to the Gate of Babylon. The Vimana: Throne of the Heaven-soaring King. A mystical contraption controlled by it's user's mind with unbelievable maneuverability and a top speed that nothing has ever been able to match. The speed of thought. Enuma's unparalleled and unrivaled skill as the pilot of the Vimana earned her the, at times begrudging, respect of her fellow Devils as an aerial ace and her title of The Red Duchess. Which was a reference to not only the rank that the house of Gremory held in the Underworld, Duke, and Enuma's hair color, but also to the German Ace during World War 2, Manfred von Richthofen, a.k.a. The Red Baron. Which made the Knight finally understand why her King looked disappointed when she and the rest of the Hufflepuffs had their turn with the flying broomsticks.
