"So, you're the owner of that Dragonite huh." A voice said, causing Seer Ash to look around.
"Who said that, show yourself!" Seer Ash said, taking an offensive position.
"Oh please, my master has told me about you and what you can do, and honestly I'm unimpressed." Tobias said, stepping out from the shadows. "You've got a world champion, a regional champion, a Pokemon Master, and even that coordinator has eldritch powers, but you, you're nothing."
"Take that back!" Seer Ash demanded.
"Make me." Tobias taunted.
"Dragonite use Fire Punch!"
"Latinos use Dragon Pulse."
A blue blur sped out from the shadows, unleashing a powerful attack that knocked Dragonite backwards.
"Dragonite use Dragon Rage!"
"Latios use Luster Purge."
Dragonite fired off a stream of blue flames only for a psychic energy to shatter through them, knocking the dragon type back once more.
"Alright then, but I know one thing you can't outdo Dragonite on, use Fly!" Seer Ash called out.
"After them, and use Giga Impact." Tobias commanded.
Latios not only took off after Dragonite but caught up to the large dragon in a matter of moments before slamming into the beast, knocking it to the ground and creating a crater.
"Dragonite return!" Seer Ash called out. "Dewgong use Ice Beam!"
"Latios use Luster Purge."
Dewgong fired off an ice beam towards Latios, pushing back against the luster purge for a few moments before Latios's attack won out, blasting Dewgong backwards.
"Dewgong are you alright?!" Seer Ash exclaimed.
"Gong!" Dewgong cried out, with a bump on his head.
"I need you to power through the pain for now, stay strong and use Horn Drill!" Seer Ash called out.
Tobias watched bemusedly as Dewgong rocketed forward at Latios, his attack doing no damage as he came to a stall.
"Now Latios use Giga Impact!" Tobias commanded.
Latios swatted at Dewgong with one hand, sending the water type into the same crater Dragonite had created.
"Dewgong return!" Seer Ash called out. "Rapidash use Fire Blast!"
Rapidash rushed out of her Pokeball, a blast of intense flames shooting out from her horn at Latios, pushing the legendary backwards.
"Latios use Luster Purge."
Latios retaliated, firing a blast at Rapidash tearing up the ground around her.
"Rapidash use Agility!"
"Latios use Light Screen."
Rapidash began building up speed as a tíos set up a protective barrier.
"Rapidash use Fire Blast!"
Rapidash spun around sending out another attack at Latios, with the flames being mostly absorbed by the Light Screen.
"I may not be the strongest of the group, but I'm just as important as the rest of them!" Seer Ash exclaimed. "Rapidash use Stomp!"
"Latios use Giga Impact."
Rapidash leapt up at Latios, getting ready to strike her hoof down on the dragon type as she was knocked back just like her teammates before her, getting launched into the same growing crater.
"Just give me the plate and we can stop this pointless battle." Tobias said calmly.
"Not gonna happen, I can take you just fine." Seer Ash said. "Teddiusra use Fury Swipes!"
"Latios use Ice Beam."
Teddiursa swiped towards Latios, his hands getting covered in ice as he began to slow down.
"Teddiursa use Mud Slap!"
"Latios use Ice Beam."
Teddiursa launched a handful of dirt at Latios only for it to get sent into a frozen chunk that was shattered before it hit them.
"Latios use Luster Purge."
"Teddiursa use Metal Claw!"
Teddiursa tried to push back against Latios's attack only to get blasted and knocked out from the attack.
"Teddiursa return! Egguard let's do this!"
"You really want to keep trying this? Latios use Giga Impact." Tobias said, clearly bored.
"Egguardo use Counter!" Seer Ash called out.
Egguardo spun right into the crashing Latios, sending the legendary Pokemon back into the air.
"Use Ice Beam."
"Use Rapid Spin!"
Egguardo spun and spun, dissipating the Ice Beam's force and keeping himself from being frozen.
"Now use Triple Kick!"
"Use Luster Purge."
"Oh no." Seer Ash said, as Egguardo was struck by the powerful move, sending him into the same crater everyone else had created.
"Now give me the plate." Tobias said coldly.
"He doesn't have it! Toucannon now!" Ark called out.
A series of rocks launched around Tobias and Latios allowing Seer Ash to disengage from the conflict.
"I don't have time to battle the both of you, just know that your God is not as holy as he claims to be." Tobias said, as he stepped into the shadows.
"Wait!" Seer Ash called out but it was too late as Tobias had disappeared. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"I wouldn't focus too much on that, the guy is a mystery wrapped in an enigma." Ark said. "Are you alright? When you didn't come back I got worried."
"I'm fine, but my team needs to get looked at by a Nurse Joy." Seer Ash said. "Dragonite is in no condition to fly me back right now."
"I saw a Pokemon Center not far from here, we can walk and get them looked at before returning to the others." Ark offered.
"Hey, do you think I belong on this team?" Seer Ash said.
"Arceus did, and I think that's enough for me. Not only that but you did hold off against Tobias for a bit, something even I wasn't able to beat him and one of his Pokemon." Ark said calmly. "Don't look at what your own accomplishments are in comparison to the rest of us, look at what you alone bring to the table, and consider that a worthwhile addition to this."
"Right, thanks. I didn't think of it that way before." Seer Ash said.
"You've got a full team of Pokemon and a Dragonite that could probably crash through a building and survive, I've worked with a lot less than that and never considered them useless or unimportant, trust me you belong on this team." Ark assured.
