She ends up taking her anger on a ant hill, but the ants soon have enough and shrink Tiffany down to their size to learn their ways. Now Tiffany must learn to be an ant and deal with all kinds of giant size threats to get back home.

Chapter 9 Start

The next morning Hova woke up and went looking for Tiffany to begin her training. Hova was excited to begin the training and learn more about Tiffany and humans. Zoc of course wasn't happy about this and had tried to convince Hova to give the job to another ant, but she refused. Hova asked some other ants if they had seen Tiffany and they had pointed her to the chamber Tiffany had gone into and had fallen asleep. The ant made her way to the chamber.

Tiffany had woken up and was a bit scared about where she was. She had desperately hoped that the whole being shrunken and kidnapped by ants adventure had been just a dream, but it wasn't. Tiffany was inside the ant hill and she was a prisoner, until she became an ant and found her place in the colony, whatever that meant. The shrunken girl looked down at the bits of silk that covered her chest and the makeshift loincloth that covered her lower area and decided that some better makeshift clothes were needed. Luck for Tiffany there were various odd object scattered around the chamber that looked like they could be used to make clothes. Tiffany walked around grabbing some leaves, strands of grass, and some shed ant exoskeleton bits. She then found a large leaf to get behind and began to construct her new outfit and discard her silk loincloth.

Hova arrived in the chamber a little later calling out to Tiffany.

"Tiffany. Tiffany. It's time to start your training."

Tiffany was too focused on her little project to respond. Hova noticed Tiffany's shadow behind the leaf and went over to it.

"So I have a lot of questions for you. Like how were hatched? And if you're a human female how can you tell?" Said Hova as she reached the leaf and peered over it.

Tiffany had just removed her loincloth and was in the process of putting on her makeshift pants, she had made out of a bit of a leaf, when Hova peered in on her. Hova saw the area that marked Tiffany as a female of her species.

"Huh? Is that how?" Asked Hova.

"Aaaaaaa! No peaking!" Yelled Tiffany as she quickly pulled her new pants up.

"Sorry." Said Hova as she looked away and took a few steps back.

Tiffany wrapped a blade of grass around her waist and tied the ends together to use as a makeshift belt. She then hooked some of the shed ant exoskeleton to form some straps on the pants and then threw them over her shoulders, making them into makeshift suspenders. Tiffany still had the silk coverings on her chest as she stepped out from behind the leaf.

"What do you think?" Asked Tiffany indicating her outfit.

"There nice, but what exactly are they?" Said Hova.

"These are clothes. Humans wear to protect and cover themselves." Said Tiffany.

"Fascinating. Now that you are properly clothed let's start from the beginning. I'm, Hova. I'm a nurse ant and I will help you become an ant and find a place in the colony, so you can return to your normal size and go home." Said Hova.

"So how exactly do I do that and how long will that take?" Asked Tiffany.

"Well how long depends on you, but hopefully it won't take long. There are many duties in the colony, I'm sure we can find one best suited for you." Said Hova.

"Like what?" Asked Tiffany.

"There's soldiers, scouts, foragers, nurses, drones, and regurgitators." Said Hova.

"Which one would you suggest?" Asked Tiffany.

"I think foraging would be a good one. We have classes for that and the teacher happens to be a good friend of mine." Said Hova.

"Ok sounds good." Said Tiffany.

"Good." Said Hova as she moved towards the exit.

Tiffany stood where she was. Hova stopped and looked back at Tiffany.

"You're not just pretending to be friendly to me, so I'll drop my guard and then you can eat me?" Asked Tiffany.

"You do look sweet and chewy, but I promise the Queen I wouldn't eat you. You have my word." Said Hova.

"Alright. Cross your heart." Said Tiffany.

Hova twisted and crossed a section of her large abdomen with her fingers. Tiffany thought that was weird, but remembered ants were made different then humans. She took a deep breath and walked alongside Hova out of the chamber to beginning training.
